This Means War:
Team Natsu have just arrived back in Magnolia after completing a job from defeating bandits. "Hey, have you noticed that the towns folk have been looking at us." Lucy says.
"Now that you mention it…" Grey says taking notice of the stares of the people around them. "It's probably because we're so awesome!" Natsu said with a toothy grin.
"Aye sir!" Happy agrees.
"No, something's wrong, it's almost like they're pitying us." Erza states.
"Let's return to the guild and find out what's-" Erza and the others gasp seeing a few giant iron pillars sticking out of the guild.
"What is this, who would attack Fairy Tail?" Lucy says shaken from the sight before her.
"Phantom Lord." A voice says behind the group. They turn to see Mira standing there. "Come with me, we've relocated downstairs in the basement."
Mira guides the group to the guild's basement where they see all the mages gathered and a few tables and barrels along with Master Makarov sitting on a barrel with his face flushed due to being drunk.
"Master, what happened to the guild while we were gone?" Erza questions. "One of Phantom Lord's mages attacked last night. Not just any mage though it was they're dragon slayer, Black Steel Gajeel I believe Alec said his name was."
"Wait, Alec was here when they attacked!" Natsu shouts. He turns to look around for the dragon and finds Alec in a deep sleep in the corner. Natsu was about to make his way over to him before Erza beat him to it.
Erza grabs the sleeping dragon and shakes Alec awake. Upon instinct Alec opens his ice blue eyes and covers himself in scales as a defense. Alec grabs Erza's arms and squeezes them to the point they almost break.
"Alec it's Erza calm down!" Natsu calls out, catching everyone's attention. Alec blinks a couple times to clear up his groggy vision and sees a wincing Erza. Alec releases Erza immediately and backs away from her, "Sorry Erza, but this is the reason why the phrase, don't wake a sleeping dragon exists. I don't know what's around me when I'm in a deep sleep, and as you just experienced I attack anything or anyone who wakes me up." Alec says.
"No it's my fault, I wanted answers of what happened and didn't remember." Erza states clutching her now bruising arms.
Alec sighs, "What was it you needed to know you'd risk your life for?"
"What exactly happened to the guild?" Lucy speaks, Alec yawns before saying, "Last night, I had to do paperwork and Phantom's Dragon slayer attacked. What's there to know other than that?"
"You're a dragon, why couldn't you stop them from destroying the guild?" Happy questions.
"Well for one, he was a dragon slayer. I didn't know how strong they were at first glance, so some damage was expected. In fact they are on the same level as Natsu I think. Besides it's just a building, even if it gets destroyed the memories made there are still with everyone and the guildhall can just be rebuilt like any other building." Alec points out.
"Any other building… Fairy Tail isn't just some building, it's our home Alec." Grey states. "Yeah, therefore we're going to get payback right Gramps." Natsu asks Makarov.
"No." Makarov says, "Oh come on Gramps, we can just give them the old one two." Natsu says.
"Natsu!" Makarov shouts then goes to spank Natsh but spanks Lucy instead. "Why was I punished?" Lucy questions.
"Master keep your hands to yourself." Mira states, Makarov retracts his hand and jumps off the barrel, "I need to take a leak."
"Come back here old man!" Grey demands.
"Despite how he looks the Master is quiet mad about this. Mainly because he knows he can't retaliate." Mira states. "Why's that?" Lucy questions.
"The Magic council strictly forbids guilds from fighting one another." Mira explains, "It's not fair they struck first!" Natsu complains.
"Even so you humans can't do anything." Alec says.
"Wait the way you put it sounded like you could do something." Grey speculates, Alec smiles devilishly.
"The Magic Council has a strict policy against not interfering with my species's business no matter what. Besides I already gave Phantom Lord's Master a message so if he's smart he won't do anything more. But just to be safe you all should stick together for tonight." Alec addresses the entire guild and they all nod. "Good, I'm gonna head out for a little scouting then I'll return." Alec states before walking upstairs to the destroyed guildhall and outside.
Alec walks around Magnolia checking for signs out of the ordinary. He even asks the locals if they've seen anyone suspicious come through that day but they all say no.
Before Alec knew it, the sky has turned dark so he then makes his way to the cathedral and sits on one of the benches.
"I guess they took took my warning seriously, I'm glad." Just as Alec was about to close his eyes he catches the distinct smell of rusty iron. He jumps to his feet and runs outside.
As he follows the scent he finds two unknown people with Gajeel about to strike Levy, Jet and Droy. 'Creation Magic: Barrier' A translucent barrier then appears in front of the Fairy Tail wizards blocking Gajeel's attack.
Alec jumps high into the air and yells, 'Creation Dragon: Iron Fist'. Gajeel turns his body into iron scales and blocks the attack but not without taking a dent in his scaly armor.
Alec jumps back landing in front of the Fairy Tail wizards. "Didn't I tell you what would happen if you attacked someone other than me?" Alec growls.
"Maybe but that doesn't matter. I'm a dragon slayer and I'm going to slay you." Gajeel declares, Alec frowns. "You three get somewhere safe now. I can't fight and protect you at the same time." Alec states.
"We won't leave you alone Alec!" Levy shouts. "You'll only be a burden if you stay. Jet, Droy, drag Levy out of here if you have to, just get out of here!" Alec yells.
Jet grabs Levy and runs with Droy not far behind. "You two go after them." Gajeel commands his comrades.
"I won't let you! 'Creation Magic: Bind!" Shadows, then begin to launch towards the two wizards, however Gajeel sends an 'Iron Dragons: Roar' at Alec breaking his image of the spell.
Alec gets blown back by the roar but lands on his feet. Alec notices the two that he was trying to stop managed to get away. "What's your plan this time kid?" Alec growls, Gajeel smirks.
"Simple, to defeat you!", Gajeel jumps towards Alec 'Iron Dragon: Iron Spiril'
Gajeel's lower half turns into some sort of drill as he starts to spin. Alec jumps out of the way just in time as the floor where he once stood now has a hole with cracks spreading across.
'Creation Magic: Water Lock' Gajeel jumps back as water rises from the ground and envelopes into a bubble like prison where Gajeel once stood. "I have a friend who uses water magic. She taught me how to avoid attacks such as these." Gajeel gloats, 'Iron Dragon: Sword' Gajeel transforms his arm into a jagged iron sword and swings it at Alec.
Alec catches it with two fingers, "It's quite hard using magic that won't kill you kid. But you're not giving me much of a choice here." Alec then breaks the sword squeezing his two fingers together.
Gajeel cries out in pain as he returns back to normal with no iron scales and a big bruise on his arm. "I'm only going to say this once." Alec walks over to Gajeel and grabs him by the throat.
"You're going to bring me to your Master or die right here." Alec says with a dead cold expression.
Gajeel struggles to break free but to no avail. In fact by doing so Alec made his grip tighter, causing Gajeel to have difficulty breathing.
"Well, are you going to comply or die?" Alec tilts his head looking for any lie in what Gajeel's next words would be.
"Fine... I'll... take you." Alec drops Gajeel to the ground and kicks Gajeel in the gut for good measure, sending him flying into an empty building.
"Try to pull anything, and I'll do worse than what I've already done." Alec warns, Gajeel emerges from the debris in a coughing fit and nods.

Gajeel and Alec are standing in front of the Phantom Lord guild hall at sunrise and Alec takes a deep breath and extends his arm out towards the door before saying 'Creation Magic: Fireball'. A dark blue fireball is created and launched at a high speed into the door breaking it.
Alec then grabs Gajeel by the collar and throws him head first into the guild crashing into a nearby table.
"Jose, I've come knocking you coward!" Alec yells. The Phantom Lord guild members start running towards Alec with their magic at the ready. Alec then covers himself in scales like a layer of armor like Gajeel did.
"Are they a dragon slayer?" A guild member cries out. 'Creation Dragon: Roar'! A twister of gold, heads straight for some of the gathered guild members in the entrance. They managed to get out of the entrance just in the nick of time with only a few scrapes from their landing.
'Creation Magic: Explosion' an explosion goes off in one of the towers causing it to collapse. "Jose, are you going to let these pathetic humans fight your battles or are you going to fight?" Alec taunts.
One of the outside front walls of the guild slides down and a blast is fired 'Creation Magic: Barrier' Alec barely is able to cast a barrier in time to take most of the blast. But unfortunately due to casting it half hazardously the barrier breaks and a less powerful blast still hits Alec dead on. Alec winced not thinking a human device could make him feel the slightest bit of pain. As the smoke clears he sees a cannon coming out of the opening of the wall. "You said it yourself… get information on the opponent before you fight. So I modified my Jupiter cannon here with some of Gajeel's dragon slaying magic for it to become strong enough to harm you." Jose says with a sinister grin.
"I must admit I didn't think humans would be capable of doing this to me… however you borrowed dragon slayer magic from the kid so I won't give you full credit." Alec then takes flight and goes above the clouds out of view.
"Something that big needs time to charge. I need to take them all out before it can fire." Alec begins to fall towards the guildhall at tremendous speeds.
'Creation Dragon: Breakdown Fist' Alec punches the top of the Phantom Lord guildhall and lands inside taking out a few people in the process.
Alec looks up flashing a battle crazed expression and says, "Alright then… who's next?"

The Fairy Tail guild members have gathered around Magnolia Park to find Jet, Droy and Levy tied to a tree battered and clothes torn to shreds. Levy has been branded with a black Phantom Lord emblem on her stomach.
"Oh no, Levy." Lucy cries out.
"Jet, Droy." Grey says in horror.
Natsu looks in rage as magic power begins to build up in him, "Phantom Lord did this…" Natsu says in a raspy voice, trying to not go berserk with emotion.
Makarov walks up to the tree where the three mages are tied to. "I can take our headquarters being reduced to rubble. But I won't stand by and let my children get hurt." Makarov clenches his fists and yells, "This means War!"

Alec punches another mage across the room hitting another person into the wall. "Not so tough now without that cannon are you?" Alec mocks, five head on spells are then sent flying towards Alec.
'Creation Magic: Mirror Image'. The spells are then absorbed and redirected back to the original casters sending them flying. "I now understand why Natsu finds fighting in the guild fun. I mean, seeing you humans fly with unique expressions is quite funny." Alec says as he kicks a bench into the air blocking an incoming spell.
For the next 15 minutes Alec continues to fight the Phantom Lord guild members by himself, most are unconscious and injured, or managed to flee at some point during the battle. Makarov and the rest of Fairy Tail charge into the building ready to fight but stop when they see all the unconscious injured bodies laying on the floor with Alec standing in the center of it all, holding a mage by the throat laughing historically.
Alec's fists had blood trickling down them though not his own. His clothes torn from the spells he didn't block, seeing them as nuisances. And a fresh burn mark can be seen on the right side of his rib cage from the blast he took from the cannon.
"What the heck happened here?" Upon hearing the voice Alec throws the mage at the Fairy Tail member as a distraction and lunges to attack.
Makarov enlarges and grabs hold of the Alec before he could harm his guild mate. "Alec snap out of it. You're attacking your own allies."
Alec's eyes widen in horror as his adrenaline fades revealing a room full of injured mages and Cana near inches from him.
Alec looks down in shame. "Dammit, I overdid it."
"Alec… have you regained your senses?" Makarov asks, Alec nods. Makarov releases Alec and asks, "What about Jose did you get him?" Alec shakes his head.
"Well let's go get him then!" Natsu says with his fist engulfed in fire.
"No, let-" Alec gets cut off from sensing a strange shift in the air. 'Creation Magic: Revealer's Eye' Alec looks around then sees a strange trail of magic leading towards Master Makarov who's walked to the other side of the room. "Makarov move!" Alec yells, but it's too late.
A man dressed in green wearing a blind fold materializes behind Makarov and casts the spell 'Drain' and Makarov's magic begins to drain out of his body and into the air. Erza lunges at the man, swinging her sword but he turns back into air before she could land a hit.
The man rematerialized at the other end of the hall and says, "It's so sad… the dragon has destroyed our guildhall and the Fairy Tail master let his guard down to my attack. How very sad it is."
Natsu and Grey charge at the man ready to attack. Alec grabs the two before they get too far and regroups with the rest of Fairy Tail.
"We need to retreat for now, Erza bring Makarov to Porlyusica right away. The rest of you go back to the guild." Alec commands.
"Come on Alec, we can still fight!" Grey states. "There's a time to fight and a time to retreat. This is a time to retreat, now move your butts." Alec commands, and all of Fairy Tail begins to retreat.
"At least we were a good distraction… to get Lucy Heartfillia." An injured Phantom Lord mage said. Natsu hears this as the rest of the guild is heading out and grabs the mage and drags them outside away from view.
"Where did you take Lucy?" Natsu demands. "I don't know where man. I'm serious, the guild was just hired to find her, that's all I know I swear. Just don't hurt me." The mage pleads.
"Only if you take me to where you're Master is hiding out at, because I'm sure she would be there if what you say is true." Natsu lights his fist on fire to intimidate the mage. "Sure, sure whatever you say man."

The mage leads Natsu up a steep rocky hill to a tower with a Phantom Lord emblem on a flag. "So this is the place huh?" Natsu questions.
"Yes it is, can you let me go now." The mage asks, Natsu grudgingly releases the mage. The mage then takes off running down the hill before tripping over and tumbling down the hill out of view. "That's gonna hurt." Natsu said.
"Natsu!" A voice calls out from the top of the tower. Natsu looks up to see a falling Lucy coming from the sky.
Natsu sprints towards her and jumps to catch her before they both land into an old stone wall.
"I knew you'd come." Lucy says with teary eyes. "Of course I came." Natsu says with a grin. Lucy begins to cry tears of joy but Natsu doesn't know what to do about it and begins to panic.
"Hey Luce don't cry please. Are you hurt somewhere or did I say something wrong? If so, I'm sorry!"
Lucy shakes her head, "Can we go back to the guild please.", "Sure thing Lucy." Natsu then carries Lucy on his back and they start heading back to the guild.
