The Titanium Ninja
Ninjago was seen as the Nindroids were hauling the golden orb straight from the comet. It soon re-entered the planet's atmosphere before they flew straight towards Borg Tower. They soon slowed their descent down before lowering the golden orb down on the roof. Inside the factory line, a bunch of Nindroids entered formation and stood at attention as the doors opened, revealing the Overlord wearing golden armor and holding a cane as he made his way in.
The armor had revealed dark purple swirls on the front of his chest, black in the middle, and red on the back as he walked forward. A purple cape made of a dark aura flowed from his back as he walked with Pythor behind him.
The Overlord growled. "Have they melted down the Golden Weapons?" He questioned.
"Yes." Pythor answered. "The Golden Armor shall be ready for your evil bidding, my dark lord," Hd spoke humbly with a bow.
The Overlord nodded as he limped over to Borg and sneered at the controlled scientist. "Borg is still here? What use is he now that Project Arcturus is completed?"
The Overlord then entered the factory line where the machine was currently forging his new weapon made from the remains of the Golden Weapons. He laughed evilly.
"Yes, yes!" The Overlord cheered as he gazed upon the creation of his new vessel. "Behold, The Beginnings of the Golden Master!"
Borg soon woke up, free of the Overlord control but greatly confused. "You're...you're releasing me?" he asked Cryptor. "But, what have you done? What now?"
"Now you watch your city, all of Ninjago and the lands beyond it fall, and bow to a new master!" Cryptor answered before he looked down at Borg with a smirk. "Looks you've already got that part down," he quipped as he laughed.
Borg then looked down in worry, his worst fears had come true: The city he had built and hoped to be a beacon of peace and hope had turned into the starting point of Ninjago's doom.
"How can I stop this?" Borg wondered, hoping the Ninja would return.
Meanwhile on the comet, the Ninja were using their powers to try and keep the parasites from eating their spacesuits and Zane.
"These bugs just keep coming!" Kai complained as used flames to keep a few of them back. "We are going nowhere!"
"Nya, there's no way we're getting off this piece of rock," Jay said through the communication. "Any last words, my darling?"
"How about 'Cole never tries to steal me from you this whole time?" Cole suggested.
"Now is not the time for that!" Nya shouted to the communicator. "Can't I care for all of you?"
"Well it's your fault for why Jay is like this Nya." Melissa said while blasting away some bugs.
"Really? We're talking about this now?" Nya questioned Melissa.
"Just don't give up, Ninja. I mean, there's gotta be some way to get off that rock." Seliel spoke next.
Lloyd sighed. "My dad was right; I should've never given up my Golden Power. We could've all been home," He looked up to their planet above them.
"Don't say that," Garmadon suddenly spoke up.
"I was wrong," Garmadon admitted. "You and Melissa must trust your friends. Trust yourselves."
"The Nindroids have returned with the Golden Weapons," Pixal notified them as a monitor showed the Nindroids landing at Borg Tower with them. "It's only a matter of time."
"Search for the power within you, and then realize the greatness you have with each other," Wu told the Ninja.
"He's right. We can get off this planet." Lloyd said with determination.
"We can't just give up now. We've been through worse." Melissa said to them. "We just need a plan.
"What about your green and dark powers, guys?" Kai asked as he kept blasting away the bugs.
"It's too far," Zane mentioned. "They'd never be able to keep their focus that long."
"No one happens to have a build-your-own-rocket-kit handy, do they?" Cole asked.
Melissa gave a laugh in realization. "That's it!" She declared.
"You have a build-your-own-rocket-kit?" Jay asked hopefully.
"No. But we can make one!" Melissa spoke as she rushed up to the shipwreck. "Arcturus may not fly, but she and the rovers will give us all the metal we need."
"Yeah! And Zane has the energy we need to make it take off and know this solar system then anyone." Lloyd added, seeing his girlfriend's plan.
"And Kai's fire can meld the missing parts." Zane said, getting the plan as the others get them as well.
"Cole's manpower could do all the heavy lifting." Kai added while intimating lifting weights.
"Jay has enough electricity and nerd knowledge to make a halfway believable spacecraft." Cole finished, which made Jay give a laugh before he realized what Cole just said.
"Hey!" Jay said with a look before he thought through the plan. "Hey. This could actually work!"
"Let's fire this thing up and see if she'll fly." Kai declared as they then got to work.
The Ninja are taking apart some still intact components of the spacecraft while using their powers to weld the pieces together while also making sure to keep the bugs away from eating their new ship.
After a few minutes of teamwork, the Ninja finished a miniature rocket as they all piled in. "Boosters?" Lloyd asked, doing a role call.
"Check." Kai nodded.
"Electronics?" Melissa asked next.
"Check." Jay nodded.
"Navigation?" Lloyd added.
"Check." Zane nodded.
"How are we holding together?" Melissa asked.
"Bubblegum and a wish." Cole answered.
"Let's go home, guys." Lloyd said as Zane connected a cable to his power source and the ship powered up as the rocket took off into space and made its way back to Ninjago.
"They have lift off!" Nya cheered as they all celebrated for the Ninja's success and found a way for them to come home.
Meanwhile in New Ninjago City, the people heard giant footsteps as the ground began to rumble. A statue of Borg began to crumble as the noise got louder.
"What is this now?" a woman asked in annoyance. "Hasn't Ninjago suffered enough already?!"
The statue soon fell over as the Overlord, now a humongous giant, was seen riding a giant robotic golden-crystal spider mech. He laughed as he felt the power of the Golden Weapons course through him while the people fled for their lives.
"First I was trapped on the Dark Island, then I was trapped by Lord Garmadon, then I was trapped in the Digiverse." The Overlord stated. "Now I am free! Bow to your Golden Master!" he decreed as he stomped through the streets.
Soon the rocket the Ninja were in soon entered Ninjago's atmosphere as the ship started to burn. "Hold on, we're almost there!" Cole told the others as the ship began to rumble.
Zane then noticed his chest was sparking. "My power source has reached critical mass," he said with worry. "It appears my unlimited energy is in fact limited!"
"Critical mass!? You mean like, it's gonna blow up?!" Jay asked in shock.
Melissa turned to Zane. "Zane unhook yourself from the ship. We can't risk you destroying yourself!" She told him.
"No, don't worry about me!" Zane said as he struggled to keep the energy flowing as blue cracks appeared around his face. "I must use my power to hold our vessel together."
"No way, Zane!" Lloyd told him. "Entering the atmosphere means we have air!"
"No, it means we're gonna burn up!" Jay reminded him.
"Listen! With just enough air, we can now support our Elemental Shields." Lloyd explained to them.
"He's right. With us close to the atmosphere, we can rely on our shields." Melissa said as the ship kept shaking. "Let's try guys!" She called as the rocket broke apart as the Ninja then summoned their elemental shields as they continued the course to Ninjago.
Up on the cliffs outside of New Ninjago City, Rattalia and Skales watch as the Golden Master rampages through the city as they watch some of the people in vehicles exit the city at high speed.
"The Curssse of the Golden Masssster hassss begun." Rattalia said while looking at the city as some smoke rose out.
"We tried to warn them, Rattalia." Skales spoke. "There issss nothing more to be done."
"Grrr! My uncle hassss really did it thissss time!" Rattalia said with a hiss. "We need to do ssssomething."
"We don't sssstand a chance against the Golden Masssster, Rattlia." Skales said to her. "Even if we do help, he will never sssstop."
Rattalia nodded with a sigh, knowing he was right as she looked up into the sky. "Where are you, Ninja?" She muttered to herself before she then saw six colored spheres falling from the sky as she then smiled. "Ah, thank the grace of Mambo the Firssst." She said as the six spheres flew into the city as she watched them go but then she had an idea. "Father, follow me." She said before turning around and heading towards a tunnel.
"Wait, what are you doing?" Skales asked in confusion.
"I have an idea." Rattalia said with a determined smile. "It'sssss time to make my father'sssss dream become a reality."
In the city the people then saw the Ninja in their spheres. "It's the Ninja!" The Mailman declared as the people all cheered.
"They've returned?! But how?!" Pythor demanded.
The Overlord however did not look threatened. "If the Ninja are what give them hope, then we will destroy them!" he declared. "Prepare for battle!"
The Overlord then used the power of the Golden Armor and the Weapons to raise the buildings of the city, changing it into a new form.
"I hate to bring this up now, but parachutes would have come in handy!" Cole shouted they were coming in too hot.
"Friends and family make a good substitute." Melissa told him.
"Coordinating catch," Pixal told them through communication as she rode in on a motorcycle. "Be on the lookout. Kai, go for 56 degrees north, 12 east."
Kai's jet came flying in as he soon landed in it. "Zane, you're next."
"Don't worry, I've got you," Zane told her as he already had the coordinates to his vehicle coming in. He soon flew in the direction of his hovercraft and landed in it.
The others then landed in their vehicles too. "NINJA, GO!" they declared as Lloyd and Melissa summoned their bikes and they were then joined by the rest of their friends.
"Welcome home, Ninja," Wu said as they all stood ready for battle.
"Brother, I can't remember the last time we fought together on the same team." Garmadon said with a smile.
"I have the city in my sights." Zane spoke as they turned to New Ninjago City, only to see the buildings having formed a giant wall as a red glow emitted from within.
"City?! That's not a city, it's an impenetrable fortress!" Jay corrected in shock.
"Behind that wall, the Golden Master has the power of the First Spinjitzu Master flowing through him," Misako said, narrowing her eyes at the stronghold.
Borg then appeared on the console. "Ninja, if you are seeing this message, I managed to escape, and have taken refuge in the Temple of Fortitude, in the city gardens."
"The Temple of Fortitude, that was left over from the age of Stone Wars," Wu recalled. "The Overlord used it as a stronghold against our father."
"It has a sacred seal of protection that can resist the Golden Power." Garmadon added. "Very clever."
"Heheh, my father's own temple will be our solitude from him." Melissa said with a smirk. "Quite the irony."
"If you can make it here alive, I think I have a device that could defeat him." Borg said in the message.
"Then we have to get to that Temple," Lloyd says before turning to the others. "Everyone, stay together!" With that they all made the final charge to New Ninjago City. "
"Kai. You, Nya, Seliel and Zane take the high road." Melissa spoke up. "We'll make our own road." They soon split up to get into the city and stop the Overlord.
Lloyd and Melissa rode on their bikes as they soon went through a window in one of the buildings.
"I don't have time for finesse," Cole stated as he charged at one of the walls and burst through it with the others following behind him.
Kai, Nya and Zane soon flew up but were unable to get over as the buildings started to rise. "Is that wall getting higher?" Nya asked when she noticed it.
"It's just like the Digiverse," Zane compared. "His turf, his rules." As Kai made it to the top, some rocks flew after him as the others went over.
"Well sometimes, rules are meant to be broken!" Seliel said as they moved into the city.
Within the center of the city, the Overlord had a bunch of things hovering in the air as the people screamed in fear of him. He then saw Kai fly by and shot a laser at him.
In the streets, the Spinjitzu Brothers and Misako reached the Temple. "The Temple is just up ahead!" Wu informed them.
Nya took a detour in saving some people from the Nindroids. "Two down and another hundred to go!" She said as tossed the Nindroids she grabbed away "And still moving onwards to the-" Nya was cut off when she was hit by a car and crashed down unconscious.
"Oh no! Nya's down!" Kai informed the others. "I repeat, Nya's down!"
"We gotta go back for them!" Cole spoke.
"No, I'll go back, the rest of you head to the temple!" Jay argued.
"To go back now and our probability to make it to the Temple diminishes exponentially!" Zane informed them.
"This isn't about numbers, Zane! It's about family!" Melissa told him.
"Everyone else head to the temple, I'll pick up Nya and meet you there!" Seliel shouted to her friends.
"Arlight, stay safe!" Lloyd said as Seliel went back for Nya and the Ninja pressed onwards to the temple.
"We're close!" Kai shouted as they drove together. "The temple is just up…" He was cut off when a golden blast hit them behind them, causing the Ninja to fall out of their vehicles as they fell to the floor. "Somewhere." He moaned before the Overlord then landed right behind them.
"The famous Ninja have time for a meet-and-greet," The Overlord taunted.
"Hey, father…" Melissa said with a nervous chuckle. "You're looking a bit, well rested." She added with a nervous look as the Ninja stepped back from him. "Have you been working out?"
"Oh, I have. And I'm at my prime, daughter!" The Overlord taunted with a smirk. "Let's dance!" He laughed as he spun around and did Spinjitzu and turned into a golden tornado.
"Okay, now he's just copying off my Spinjitzu." Lloyd commented as they stood up.
"Change of plans guys. Run!" Melissa shouted before they began to run away from the giant golden tornado coming at them.
Their vehicles got swept up and destroyed by it as they dodged some incoming debris being sucked in. Cole climbed and jumped over a car as they kept moving while Jay kicked a mailbox as they soon climbed over a small roof before they continued onward.
Back with Nya, as she was getting out of her mech, Cryptor rode in on his mini mech. "This is a complete mess," Nya complained as she stood up and faced Cryptor.
"Now let's see if the little girl can fight without her big suit," Cryptor joked as he was set to attack Nya.
The Ninja jumped over a knocked over bus with the Overlord hot on their tails. They jumped, dodged, crawled, bobbed, and weaved around everything in the way, getting closer and closer to the Temple.
At the Temple, the Spinjitzu Brothers and Misako saw the Overlord's tornado, getting closer and closer.
"I see the Temple, almost there!" Melissa said as they jumped over the fence and rushed to the building.
"Hurry children, hurry!" Misako called them.
The Ninja tumbled inside as the two brothers started closing the gates. "Brother, Misako, now!" Wu ordered.
"Activate the shield!" Garmadon yelled as a blue energy shield covered the Temple preventing the Overlord from reaching them.
The Overlord stopped his Spinjitzu as he was stopped by his own creation. "No, NO!" he roared in frustration.
Nya flipped over to Cryptor and punched him but he knocked her to the ground. "You kick like a little girl!" he mocked.
"Oh, yeah? How's this for little?" Nya challenged as she jumped up as she and Cryptor exchanged punches before Cryptor then powered up his laser eye and blasted Nya back, which made her fall into the junk.
Just then, a familiar vehicle came driving by as it then knocked Cryptor's mech before Seliel jumped out. "NINJA-GO!" She called out through the jump.
The impact made Cryptor's mech tumble and tilt over as Cryptor screamed as he fell to the ground as Seliel landed next to Nya.
"Are you okay, Nya?" Seliel asked in concern.
"I am now." Nya said as Seliel helped her up. "Clever to use your ride to ram Crytor's."
"Eh, it's not that much important for friends." Seliel said before she was blasted back by a laser, which knocked her into a wall.
"Seliel!" Nya called out before she turned and saw Cryptor glaring in rage.
"You'll pay for that!" Cryptor growled as he started firing a barrage of lasers at Nya which she managed to withstand.
Nya looked at Cryptor smugly, "Heh, looks like Seliel knocked most of your power out of you." She boasted.
Cryptor just narrowed his eyes, "Wait for it." He said slowly.
And then at that moment, Nya's armor then started to turn to dust as they crumbled up, and it wasn't just her armor, even her clothes were reduced to ashes as well.
Nya looked down as she saw that she was in her light blue underwear as she shrieked and tried to cover herself as she glared at Cryptor. "You destroyed my armor and turned my clothes into dust!" She yelled out.
"Let's see how well you fight without your dignity!" Cryptor laughed and charged at her again. But before Cryptor could hit her, a glaive blocked his path as he was whacked by as he saw Seliel, who recovered from the blast as she glared at Cryptor.
"Okay, that was a dirty trick he pulled." Seliel said with a look before she turned to Nya, who was still covering herself while Seliel tried to keep her laughter in check. "Although, after basically cheating on your boyfriend, I can't say you didn't deserve it, Nya."
"Really?! In the middle of a battle?!" Nya questioned while still trying to cover herself. "Can't you just drop it?!"
"Hey, karma has its way of showing." Seliel said with a shrug and a smirk before she spotted a big shirt laying in the rumble before she picked it up and tossed it to Nya. "Put this on."
"Are you sure this will fit?" Nya asked as she looked at the shirt.
"It's big enough to cover your body, so go with it and help me!" Seliel called out before Cryptor punched her back.
"Well, I may not have my armor, but I can still fight with my bare hands!" Nya declared as she put on the shirt, which covered up her body to her thighs as she charged at Cryptor as the two girls clashed with the Nindroid General.
Back at the Temple, the Nindroids were shooting the shield, wearing it down. "Keep shooting! It will break, and I'm busy!" the Overlord ordered as he walked away to continue his rampage.
Inside, a little dust came down when the Temple shook where the Ninja and the others saw Borg in the Temple.
"Did I forget to mention that I absolutely hate my father?" Melissa asked.
"Oh, trust us, the feeling is mutual." Cole said in agreement.
"You said you had a weapon that could stop him?" Lloyd asked Borg.
"I do," Borg answered before he turned to the containment in the floor in front of them. "It's my most protected secret."
"Well don't leave us in suspense, what is it?" Melissa asked as Borg took a high-tech key and put it in the hole of the containment unit.
"It is well-protected," Zane stated as his mother took another key and put it in the other hole of the unit.
"Is it an ancient curse?" Lloyd asked.
"I say fire power," Kai guessed.
"I hope it rocks," Cole spoke as the unit started to open.
"Is it dangerous? Is it alive? Does it come with a manual?" Jay asked as they all looked inside and saw what's inside. "Is it a– A– A pill?!" They were all disappointed to see a small silver pill within the containment unit.
Borg waved his hand as he took the pill. "Ah-ah-ah, not just any pill, a Nano Pill," He said. "Scientists have been looking for the holy grail of inventions. A diet pill that actually works!" He finished as they all stared at him in befuddlement.
"Wait until you are old," Garmadon spoke up. "Then you'll see why it's so important." He said as he walked up to Borg while shaking him. "Tell me Borg, does it work?!" He questioned.
"No, but the nanotechnology inside has an adverse effect." Borg explained. "It not only shrink your waistline, but miniaturizes you as well."
"You've made a shrinking pill?" Zane asked in surprise.
"So if we shrink my father with this pill, can we actually stop him?" Melissa asked.
"That's the plan. The Overlord may be powerful, but when he shrinks, he will be completely harmless and easy to contain." Bord explained.
"Huh, so it looks like once he's shrunk down, I can just squash him like a bug." Melissa said with a smirk. "Cause I just wanna see my father dead." She said before she realized what she said. "That sounded bad out of context didn't it?"
"Hey, from what we've experienced from the guy, I don't blame you." Lloyd said as the others nodded in agreement as Kai went up to Borg.
"Let me get this straight," Kai started. "You want us to get close to this guy, who has armor with a single touch would make us toast, just so we can give him a pill?!"
"Precisely!" Borg said with a smile. "I believe if we can shrink the Overlord down to size we may better contain and defeat him."
"Uh, good plan Borg except for one little problem." Kai started before pointing outside, "How are we supposed to get that tiny pill into his mouth, Say Please?!"
Garmadon then got an idea. "Brother, do you remember when both of us were on the same team last time?" he asked with a smile.
Jay then moved over to them. "Uh, hey old timers, um mind paying attention? We're trying to save the world here!" he said.
Wu then realized what Garmadon was saying. "You're right, brother, on the playground when we were kids. Templegate Tigers." He said.
"Templegate Tigers?" Lloyd repeated.
Misako then explained, "It was a popular game that eventually became the modern sport of Baseball." She explained as held Wu and Garmadon's shoulder, "Ha, Your father could throw a mean curveball and your uncle's staff could thread the needle, there wasn't a game I saw them lose."
"So true." Garmadon confirmed.
Wu then turned to their pupils. "Get us close, Ninja, and we'll give the Golden Master his medicine." He declared.
"But how will we get close without getting vaporized?" Cole asked, knowing they couldn't get close enough to the Overlord without him destroying them.
Misako thought for a moment before smiling, "I think I know just the thing." She said before rushing off somewhere.
Meanwhile, the Overlord in his giant mech was reaching closer and closer to Borg Tower, destroying New Ninjago City in the process.
"Haha! The people are losing hope," Pythor cackled as he watched the carnage while walking far in front of the mech. "Soon they will bow to you, Golden Master."
The Overlord stopped in front of Borg Tower before golden webs shot out from his mech. He began to weave together the web lines and created a large webbed net across the city.
Seliel grunted as she hit the wall as Cyrptor loomed over her laughing. Nya slowly got up and saw Cryptor preparing to finish off the Phantom Ninja.
"Leave her alone!" Nya demanded as Cryptor just laughed at her and lifted Seliel up by the foot as Nya glared hard, realizing her friend was about to get hurt and she couldn't help.
But she wouldn't stop, and as her determination grew, a Fire Hydrant started shaking, "I said, leave her ALONE!" With the last word the Fire Hydrant sent a jet of water straight at Cryptor, blasting him away.
Cryptor grunted as some circuits sparked in his system as he dropped Seliel, which she was surprise as she looked at the fire hydrant. "Did that fire hydrant just do that?" She asked in surprise as she went over to Nya, "Nya, did you do that?"
Nya was just as surprised, "I don't know. I just got real mad, was focused on saving and then, BAM! Water spews out." She said in confusion. "Maybe the water main burst when the Overlord turned the city into a fortress."
"Yeah but, I could've sworn that water changed direction there for a second," Seliel said in wonder.
Cryptor then got up as he grunted a bit and glared at the girls while they were talking "Maybe it was luck, you did hit your head pretty hard." Nya stated.
"Maybe," Seliel said before she saw Cryptor still standing and sparking a bit, "Oh, you still haven't kicked yourself bucket head?"
"You think you can mock me?!" Cryptor demanded as the Girls noticed Mini-Droid passing be.
They smirked and got an idea, "Why of course, doesn't everyone?" Nya asked. "I mean, even Min-Droid knows you're short of a harddrive." She mocked
"Yeah, he even has twice the brain processors as you." Seliel added with a mocking smirk. "It's no wonder the Overlord is thinking of making him the new General of the Nindroid."
"Min-Droid?! A General!? That little piece of scrap isn't fit to lead a team to tighten my bolts!" Cryptor told her, unknowingly insulting the small robot as he walked past him. "I've met toasters more intelligent than him!"
Min-Droid had finally had enough of his general's insults, dropped his electronics, and marched up to him from behind. "Excuse me, General?" he said tapping his shoulder and when Cryptor turned. "EAT THIS!" Min-Droid yelled as he socked Cryptor in the gut.
Nya and Seliel then hightailed it from there as Min-droid gave Cryptor a lesson in manners. They then noticed Cryptor's mech and figured Cryptor was too busy to use it.
"Heheh, they may be copies of Zane, but nothing to the original." Nya giggled as the two kept rushing up to Cryptor's mech and powered it up as they went off while the two Nindroids were distracted.
"Nice plan, Nya." Seliel complimented with a smirk. "And even when almost bare, you're still a competitive fighter."
"Yeah, but please, don't tell this to the others." Nya pleaded with an embarrassing look.
"Don't worry, this will be our little secret." Seliel said before giving a teasing smirk. "And possibly Melissa."
"Seriously?" Nya questioned with a disbelieving look.
"She's gonna find out eventually." Seliel said with a shrug. "She always does."
Nya groaned with her head down. "I suppose." She muttered.
"Are we sure this is gonna protect us?" Kai asked as he held up his stone armor.
"If the Overlord's Stone Warriors used these against the First Spinjitzu Master, I see no reason why we can't use it against those exact same powers," Misako told them.
"Huh, who would've thought that my Stone Siblings armor would be the one to help us take down my father." Melissa said, looking at the armor.
Zane gave one look at his armor before he looked over to Pixal. "Here, you take it," he told her as he offered his armor.
"No, you are vital to this mission," Pixal told him. "Don't worry about me," Zane thought for a moment before she walked up to him with a smile. "I shall see you again."
"Zane?" Garmadon called out. "Zane, we have to go." They each put on the stone armor before they transformed in a flash of light. The armor the Ninja put on transformed into silver armor with their emblems on the front.
Melissa then looked outside and gasped, "Oh no. The shield, it's broken!" She called as the Nindroids advanced on the Temple.
Just then, Nya and Seliel came in on the Nindroid's mech. They soon fired at the Nindroids to clear a path for the others.
"Better late than never!" Seliel stated.
"Go get 'em, Ninja!" Nya called out.
"NINJA-GO!" The Ninja declared as they charged out of the Temple and did Spinjitzu when some of the Nindroids charged at them. They soon jump across some rooftops as they mean their way to where the Overlord is.
"Feels like old times, doesn't it?" Wu asked his brother.
"Yes, it feels good," Garmadon said with a smile. Then above them the tiles of a rooftop turned into a giant hand and slammed down on them. The heroes covered their heads only to find that they were unharmed.
"I don't believe it! The Armor's working!" Cole said in shock.
"Keep going!" Jay said as they kept running. "We have to take the heat off the Senseis!"
Pretty soon they were cutting through the Overlord's golden webs like string.
The Overlord snarled in aggravation as the heroes got closer. "My powers, they aren't working!" he roared as stared down at his enemies. "They won't stop coming!"
He tried to create a wall out of broken cages but the Ninja busted through until they reached a roof close to Borg Tower and stared at him.
"Then attack the people." Pythor suggested and the Overlord did just that as the people ran all around for cover.
"We need to protect the people!" Lloyd told his friends.
"But we need to get the Senseis closer!" Kai reminded him.
Then out from the sewers, Rattalia came out as the rest of the Serpentine came out too. "People of Ninjago, follow usss!" She called out as the Serpentine guided the people below ground.
"The Serpentine! They came to help!" Lloyd cheered as the Serpentine guided the people to the sewers.
"Great, now I have seen it all!" Jay shouted in excitement as they turned their attention back to the Overlord.
"We'll never get close enough," Kai complained as they were too far to get close to the Overlord.
"We won't need to," Garmadon told them before he turned to wu. "Ready to thread the needle, brother?"
"Let's show them what old timers can do," Wu declared before Garmadon jumped on to one of the golden web lines and bounced in the air.
Garmadon then gave his brother a boost up as he then tossed the pill towards his brother before Wu spun around and hit the pill with his staff. They all watched in anticipation as the pill was hitting straight for the Overlord's mouth.
It seemed like victory was in their grasp before Pythor quickly jumped up and swallowed the pill. He let out some coughs as he landed back down before he was shrunk down to the size of a mouse.
"Ah! What's happening to me?! No!" Pythor exclaimed before he saw Zane's falcon flying in and started to chase Pythor.
Pythor screamed and slithered for his life before a hand grabbed him and saved him, "Oh, thank you ssso much for…" He trailed off as he realized he was being held by Rattalia, who was glaring hatefully at him. "Oh, hello dear niece. Eh, love the crown." He complimented nervously.
"After all thesssse yearssss of the torture and abuse you've put me through, now I finally get my chance." Rattalia said glaring at her Uncle before she started tightening her grip as Pythor grunted while having a hard time breathing from the squeeze. "For revenge."
"R-Rattalia…. Pleasssse… I'm your uncle!" Pythor pleaded while struggling to breathe.
"Wassss, but after what you did to our tribe, and to my mother!" Rattalia yelled as she squeezed harder."You are no longer my Uncle! Not anymore!"
"Rattalia! Sssstop!" Selma called out as she and Skales went up to them. "You can't do this!"
"After everything he'ssss done to me, he doessssn't deserve to live!" Rattalia exclaimed while keeping a tight hold on her uncle.
"Yesss, but that doesn't mean he dessservesss this!" Skales said to her as he and Selma went up to her. "We moved passsst our revenge and warring passsst. We musssstn't return to that path. And if you do this than you'll betray everything your father believed in,"
Rattalia looked at her Uncle before looking at Skales and Selma and she sighed knowing that they were right as she lightened her grip. "Bytar!" She called out as a black Constrictai with orange spikes approached her.
"Yessss my queen?" Bytar asked.
"Lock up thissss disgrace of a Sssserpentine in our prisssson cell." Rattalia said, handing Pythor to the Constrictai. "And make it where he can never get out."
"With pleasure, my queen." Bytar nodded as he took Pythor as he walked off.
"Oh, at least it's better than execution." Pythor muttered as he was taken away.
"That was it?" The Overlord asked as he thought that was a joke. "That was all you've got?" he then used the golden webs to grab the Ninja, minus Zane, and the Spinjitzu Brothers. They all grunted and struggled to get free just as Misako, Nya, Seliel, Borg and Pixal came on a rooftop to see what was happening.
The Overlord focused his power as they continued to struggle. "The armor, why isn't it working?!" Cole shouted as they wondered why they could not break free, even with the armor on.
"Because your time is over!" the Overlord declared as Zane was dodging one of the golden webs as it tried to grab him. He landed on a rooftop before he took off his mask and had a look of determination on his face.
"Support me, friends. For one last time," Zane said before he charged forward and began to jump on the others as he made his way to the Overlord. After jumping off Sensei Wu, Zane flew towards the overlord before grabbing hold of the golden armor. The moment he grabbed the armor, his whole body began to glow ice blue as he grunted in pain. "Let my friends go!"
"Go where, Doomed Ninja?" the Overlord asked sarcastically. Zane could feel the power of the Golden Armor coursing through him and destroying him from the inside. Despite that, he still would not let go as a piece of his face fell off to reveal his robotic parts. "The Golden Weapons are too powerful for you to behold. Your survival chance is ZERO!"
Zane glared at the Overlord before he spoke. "This isn't about numbers! It's about family and friends!" he declared as some golden orbs started to be absorbed by him while the golden webs turned green. Soon the golden webs let go of his friends as they fell to the ground before they looked up. The power source in his chest glowed bright as it was overloading and the heartbeat monitor in his head was beeping louder by the second.
"He's not letting go!" Lloyd shouted in a worried tone.
"His heart! It's reaching critical mass!" Jay shouted.
"If his heart overloads, he'll blow!" Cole reminded the others. "He'll never survive!"
"Let go of him, Zane!" Kai called out, but Zane still would not.
"What is he doing?!" Melissa exclaimed.
"He's protecting us," Wu told his students.
"I am an Nindroid!" Zane declared. "And Ninja never quit! Go Ninja. Go!" He then shot a beam of ice at the Overlord.
"What are you doing?!" the Overlord shouted as he could not get away from Zane. "Let me go, you fool!" Zane continued to shoot his ice power at him as he felt himself overloading.
"No, Zane, no!" Jay called out as he tried to reach for him, only for Wu to hold him back.
"We have to get out of here now!" Wu told them as he held back Jay and Lloyd. They soon pulled the others into the sewers as Zane continued to hold the Overlord in place. The Overlord grunted as he tried to get Zane away from him but with little to no effort. Melissa and Lloyd gave one last look before they closed the sewer hatch and went down with the others.
Pixal saw what Zane was doing as she had a look of dread on her face. "No…" she whispered. As Zane felt his power source reaching critical mass, he closed his eyes and remembered all the times he had spent with his friends. No matter what they went through, no matter how tough things got, they always stuck by each other to the very end.
From the time they faced the skeleton army, to when they faced the Serpentine. From when they faced the Stone Army to now, they never gave up or backed down. He was grateful to have friends… No, a family like them by his side to the very end. He had a small smile on his face as a single tear ran down his cheek as he was now facing his end to save Ninjago from the Overlord. After all, he is Zane Julien the White Ninja and Master of Ice, he was built to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
The moment his heart beat monitor flatlined and his heart reached critical mass, Zane exploded and took the Overlord with him. That explosion froze everything in its path, including General Cryptor and Min-Droid also got frozen before they burst into shards. The only things left of the Overlord was his helmet and his golden armor as they crashed on the ground.
The Ninja came out and saw that the whole city was frozen solid as they met up with the others. They looked around until Cole saw and picked up the fallen piece of Zane's face. Nya then started crying as she sadly placed herself in Jay's chest as the others mourned the loss of their friend. Melissa saw this before burying her head in Lloyd's chest with tears.
"I used to think technology would be the answer to all our problems…" Borg said with great regret.
Many creatures have gathered around for the memorial of Zane Julien, including the students from Wu's Academy and the Serpentine as well. The ice that once covered the city was removed as Borg continued. "But then I saw technology invent new problems. Devastating problems. And then a Nindroid named Zane saved us all. He was the perfect balance between us, magic and technology. He taught us that life should be a balance. Technology can improve our lives, but so can people as well. And if we focus on one at the expense of the others, that's when the balance is off. Our city will find its way again, but this time with Zane as our compass."
"I give to you, The Titanium Ninja." Borg pulled the tarp off and revealed it to be a statue of Zane, made of titanium. Zane's Falcon flew in and rested on the shoulder of the statue.
"So, what happens after this?" Nya asked her fellow Ninja.
"I don't know…" Cole told her.
"And I don't care," Jay spoke as he wiped a tear from his eye. "Today's about Zane."
"And now Kai would like to speak for those who knew him best," Borg said as Kai stepped forward and faced the others with a solemn look.
"Everyone wondered what powered Zane," Kai spoke up. "I don't know if we'll ever know, but I like to think it was brotherhood. Because he powered me. And he'll still power me as his memory lives on. Ninja never quit, and Ninja will never be forgotten." He then looked up to the sky as it began to snow. "Wherever you are, Zane, you'll always be one of us." The crowd mumbled to each other as it began to snow. They all wondered if this was a sign from Zane knowing that he was watching over them no matter what. Soon the other Ninja joined Kai as they all looked towards the statue.
The only one who did not come to the memorial was Pixal as she was in Borg's office. She was the one most hurt by the loss of Zane. It felt like this pain would never go away until she heard a recording of herself and Zane being played all of a sudden, getting her attention.
"You are Zane. A droid like me," the recording of her said as she came over to the monitors. "What does Zane stand for?"
"I stand for peace, freedom and courage," the video recording of Zane said.
"Your hardware is outdated and your processor is low and incompatible," a recording of her scanning Zane was shown before it changed. "Why are you so different?"
"We're all different," a recording of Zane holding hands with her was shown when she repaired him and when she was bare in front of him. "But I don't feel so different around you." Pixal wondered who was doing this as recordings of their time together appeared on each monitor.
"Zane? Is that you?" Pixal said as the monitors started to glitch out.
"You are vital to me," One of the monitors pulled up the camera of the factory lair as the machines then started turning on and making something. "I shall see you again."
"I'm…just, Zane." Her face had a look of shock and tears as she then rushed downstairs to the factory lair.
Pixal ran as fast as her legs could carry as she went into the factory lair as she went on the treadmill as it moved her forward as she saw something in front of her that made her smile joyfully as there was a robot that is made of titanium.
"Are we…compatible now?" Zane's voice spoke through the titanium robot in a more robotic voice as Pixal smiled widely at him.

A/N: And that was the final chapter of Season 3 Rebooted and talk about a very sad ending to this season with Zane sacrificing himself to take down the Overlord, but don't worry everyone, everything will be fine especially when it's time for Season 4.
