AN: Hey Guys, I have another chapter for you here. Sorry if there are any errors as I do not currently have a beta reader to review my work and I am in need to create a timeline of what I do. I received a few reviews on the previous chapter so I will be answering them now:
Same as Smithback: Thank you for the feedback, I hope you continue to enjoy.
SvenHPotterFan: Yeah, Harry will be tested now at the Weasleys, I thought about both those options when writing this chapter and still not sure which way would be best, I hope to have given a good option. Thank you for letting me know that Moody was written well, he is one of the characters I do worry about as he has such a strong personality. I don't believe we will hear from Madam bones for at least another chapter, but I am still undecided on that, and we may hear from her sooner rather than later.
Thank you for that feedback everyone, now onto the next chapter!
Harry did not sleep very well, in fact he was tossing and turning. He didn't have much time to think during the day and now all he had was time. The night was silent, the only noise to be heard being Ron's snoring.
Harry tried to remember all the facts. First, he touched a Rune that sent him back in time, he didn't believe he was dreaming as the stunner from a now alive Moody hurt way too much. Second, Moody and Dumbledore were alive, same with Madam Bones which leads him to believe everyone else would be too. Harry realised this should have been obvious though from being in the past. Nobody knew of Harry's journey through time yet, but unknowing to him, he made a few people concerned with his knowledge.
Harry laid in bed for hours, it felt like days, before he had to get up. The sun was barely rising as he left Ron's room. Carefully, Harry glided down the stairs, avoiding the trick step, towards to ground floor. The coast seemed clear to the front door, and he was going to take the opportunity to get out of the house he was hoping to avoid for as long as he could. Harry started to move towards the door, he was almost out, just a few more steps.
"Good morning, Harry." Mrs Weasley was up, making breakfast. "I'm surprised to see you awake, are you hungry?"
He should have known, Mrs Weasley like to make sure her family was well fed, she always woke up early to make a breakfast the family would love that gave them the nutrients they needed. That is, after all, how Ron and the twins got caught before Harry's second year at Hogwarts.
"No thank you, I'm still full from last night." Harry was worried that Mrs Weasley had caught him trying to leave but was relieved that was not the case.
"But you're far too skinny for a growing boy! Come on, sit down. I know exactly what you would love."
Mrs Weasley pulled Harry to a chair at the dining table.
"Toast, two eggs and a small serving of bacon."
The serving was anything but small, harry would have struggled to finish this plate with his adult body he left behind. Harry was hoping to eat as much as he could in complete silence. He knew he wasn't meant to be here, and yet he was.
"So, Harry," Mrs Weasley began, "What were you doing in London all alone? Where were your guardians?"
I don't Know, Mrs Weasley. I was near the park by my house when I was being chased. Next thing I knew I was there anymore." Harry responded, omitting a large part of the story.
If Mrs Weasley could tell, she didn't let Harry know.
"Oh, so it was accidental magic then?" Mrs Weasley looked impressed. "I've never heard of a child using accidental magic to apparate before!"
Thankfully, Mrs Weasley left the conversation there and allowed Harry to eat. When Harry was full, Mrs Weasley tried to get Harry to eat more, muttering about him being way too thin, before giving in. This allowed time for a half-asleep Ron and a bright-eyed Ginny to come downstairs for their breakfast.
Harry really had hoped he would need to see the two youngest of the Weasley family. Ron sat down at the table without even noticing Harry, his attention only on the food. Ginny noticed the unusual boy sitting at the table and wondered where he came from.
"You weren't here last night." she said with a stronger serious tone then Harry had ever heard from a 6-year-old. "I can tell you're not a relative, so who are you?" Her tone started to border onto rudeness.
"Ginny, don't be rude!" Mrs Weasley didn't want her daughter and the saviour of the wizarding world to start on the wrong foot as she had plans for them. "Harry here has already been through too much to be spoken to like that."
"Sorry, Harry." She sounded insincere, but Mrs Weasley didn't notice. "Funny your name is Harry though, that's the same name of the boy mum keeps telling me about, the boy she tells me I am going to m..."
"GINNY!" Mrs Weasley didn't let Ginny finish. "Let Harry rest!"
Harry knew what Ginny was about to say, and it made complete sense with how he knew his Ginny acted.
'Did I even know the real Ginny?' Harry wondered.
Harry used this moment to move outside. He expected the yard to be overrun with gnomes, but he was far from being correct. The yard was immaculate! Harry chose a calm spot to sit under a tree. He thought about leaving still, but decided it was best to stay, at least for now. Magical travel had its bonuses, but it requires a lot of power, power his current body probably could not manage. Another disadvantage of magical travel was not needing to know how to get there or the local surroundings. This made it difficult to get anywhere as he did not know what was even nearby.
Harry chose to wait. He would wait to see what Dumbledore would say, but he would need to be prepared to not say something that would give him away.
