Jay and Moose sat side by side on their couch, papers and old books spread out on the coffee table before them. Moose frowned, flipping through a thick, dusty volume. "I can't believe we're actually looking for ways to reverse an eclipse curse. This is so Riverdale."
Jay smirked, glancing at the gang, all crowded around the living room. "If anyone can figure this out, it's us. Besides, I'm not letting bad luck ruin our lives."
Betty was intently reading a handwritten text she had borrowed from the Blossom estate. "This mentions something about using Sweetwater River during a solar ritual. Apparently, it's a hot spot for supernatural energy."
Cheryl flipped her hair and rolled her eyes. "Obviously, Sweetwater River is the heart of Riverdale drama. I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner."
Toni nudged Cheryl playfully. "Well, you're thinking of it now. Let's focus."
Veronica leaned back against Gabriel, a smirk playing on her lips. "This is giving 'witch coven realness.' Should we get matching robes and hats?"
Jughead chuckled. "I'll pass, but I'll take another book to skim through."
Archie stood up, pacing. "So, what exactly are we doing at Sweetwater River? Are we summoning something? Sending something away?"
Betty pointed to the text. "We're performing an eclipse reversal ritual. We need candles, a circle of salt, and incantations."
Josie arched an eyebrow. "This better not backfire. The last thing we need is a double curse."
Tabitha nodded. "Agreed. But if it works, we might finally get some peace."
Later at Sweetwater River
The group gathered at the riverbank under the dim light of the moon. Candles flickered around them, casting shadows on their faces. Moose and Jay stood in the center, holding hands as they prepared to lead the ritual.
Cheryl stepped forward, sprinkling salt in a perfect circle. "This is the most dramatic thing I've done all week, and I love it."
Toni lit the final candle and glanced at Jay. "You're up."
Jay cleared his throat, holding the ancient text in his free hand. "Here goes nothing."
Together, they began to recite the incantation, their voices blending with the gentle ripple of the river. As they finished the final words, a sudden gust of wind blew out the candles, and the river seemed to shimmer with an ethereal glow.
Everyone held their breath.
Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted. It was as if a weight had lifted from their shoulders. Cheryl looked around, confused. "Is… is that it?"
Tabitha nodded slowly. "I think so."
Back to Normal in Riverdale
The next morning, Jay and Moose woke up to find their furniture and bed back in place. Moose ran a hand over the new stove and grinned. "Looks like the curse really is gone. Check this out—the electrical bill is only $300 now."
Jay laughed and pulled Moose into a kiss. "We did it."
At Pop's, Jughead and Tabitha sat in their usual booth, holding hands. Tabitha smiled softly. "I'm sorry for everything. I shouldn't have pushed you when you needed space."
Jughead kissed her knuckles. "And I shouldn't have shut you out. I love you, Tabitha."
Across town, Archie found Frank holding a stack of papers. "Looks like there's no IRS penalty after all," Frank admitted. "Everything's filed and squared away."
Betty opened her front door to find two officers standing there. "We're here to apologize for the wrongful arrest," one of them said. "We made a mistake."
Betty blinked in surprise but nodded. "Thank you. I appreciate the apology."
At the studio, Josie, Melody, and Valerie gathered around. Josie took a deep breath. "I'm sorry for how I acted. Can we start fresh?"
Valerie smiled. "Of course. Let's get the band back together."
Melody grinned. "You know it."
Cheryl discovered her flat tire repaired as if it had never been punctured. Veronica, meanwhile, found herself back to her usual self. She turned to Gabriel and grinned. "Round two, Mr. Lodge?"
Gabriel smirked. "You're feeling better, I take it?"
At the Sheriff's Department, Kevin found Tom waiting with an apology. "We made a mistake. Your job is waiting for you if you want it back."
Kevin nodded, smiling. "Thank you, Dad. I won't let you down."
Toni burst into the gang's hangout later that afternoon, a huge grin on her face. "I made it to my interview on time, and I got the job!"
A Kiss to Seal the Normalcy
That evening, the gang gathered at Pop's to celebrate their victories. As everyone laughed and shared stories, Jay turned to Moose. "We did it. Life's back to normal."
Moose leaned in, pressing a kiss to Jay's lips. "And we'll make sure it stays that way."
The gang cheered, raising their milkshakes in a toast to friendship, love, and the end of bad luck.
