3rd October, Missing Person Case

"Thank you for meeting me, Mr. Larsson."

"It's no problem. Honestly, if I can be any help, I'd be happy. I really want you to find Anna."

"Okay, great." I smiled at him. It's clear he cared about my cousins too. "Do you remember the recreation day you had with your work group in June? Did you attend?"

"Yes, of course!" He smiled widely at the memory.

"Did you visit bars in the end of the day?"

"Oh, yes, heh. We visited all the bars of the city we could find that night," the man laughed. So at least Hans' story held up so far. Maybe he really didn't remember where he had met the woman.

"Was Hans with the group the whole night?"

"On no, no. Hans was known for refusing to visit bars. Some colleagues managed to sweet talk him into coming to the first one, but he only drank half a glass of beer and kept glancing his phone, before ending the evening and going home with a taxi before eleven." So, Hans did lie after all, what a surprise.

"Do you know what he was looking at on his phone?"

"Messaging with his fiancée, I would assume," Larsson frowned. He only assumed, so he could've been doing anything.

"Did you see Hans talking to anyone in the bar, a woman, perhaps?"

"I can't say that I did. But I didn't keep tabs on him."

I still wasn't closer to the mystery woman at all. But there was still some hope. "Do you remember the bar you were at with Hans still along?"

"Hmm. I'm pretty sure it was Stue."

"Thank you, Mr. Larsson. You have been great help for me today."

"Oh, one more thing, detective," the man quipped after me, making me stop and turn around.

"We found out yesterday that Elsa had named Hans her successor. It used to be Anna. I mean, Anna could still overrule it if she wanted to, and I don't know if this has any importance to your investigation. I just thought it was weird and you should know about it." This truly was weird. Did Elsa do that on her free-will, or was she forced to. Did this have a connection to her death?

"Thank you, Mr. Larsson, for telling me." This unsolved case was killing me.

A/N Hey, luvnanofate! To be honest, it's a bit hard for me to remember some of my choices for the fic, like the structural build. Most of the choices have been made years ago, when I wrote most of the story. However, the story is not terribly long, so that's likely the reason I chose to publish it one interview at the time.

Vinay-kox01, thank you for your kind offer. Your art is very beautiful, looked it up. Unfortunately I'm not looking to turn this story into visual media. It's just a hobby that I'm doing on my free time, I wouldn't care to put any money in it. Keep up the good work tho :)
