Jay Halstead-Mason stirred awake to find Moose Mason already watching him, a playful grin on his face. "Good morning, Mr. Halstead-Mason," Moose teased, leaning in for a kiss.
Jay smirked, kissing him back. "Good morning, Mr. Mason. Sleep well after last night's...eventful chaos?"
Moose chuckled. "If by 'eventful chaos,' you mean Natalie Manning crashing Cheryl's Key Party and acting like she owns the world, then yes. What a disaster."
Jay laughed as he sat up. "She's like a less sinister version of Hailey Upton but with twice the dramatics. If she spent less time on lies and more on therapy, maybe we'd all get some peace."
Moose grinned. "Let's hope therapy is in her future. Anyway, let's focus on taking Kit to school. I think we could both use a calm morning."
They got out of bed, got ready, and packed Kit's lunch. As they drove him to school, their phones buzzed with a flurry of notifications. Moose glanced at his phone while Jay drove.
"Jay...check the group chat. Something's up."
Jay sighed as he stopped at a red light. "What now?" He opened the group chat to see several messages from Cheryl, Veronica, and Archie, all expressing disbelief about Natalie Manning's latest antics.
Cheryl: "I'M GONNA LOSE IT! NATALIE POSTED ALL THIS CRAP ABOUT US ON SOCIAL MEDIA!"
Veronica: "She seriously crossed the line. Everyone check Instagram NOW."
Archie: "She's unhinged. There's even something about me in there."
Jay groaned. "What did she do now?"
After dropping Kit off at school, they returned home and immediately gathered the gang in their living room. Everyone looked either furious or stunned as they scrolled through their phones.
"Okay," Jay began, addressing everyone. "Natalie officially took things too far. She's been airing lies about all of us on social media."
Veronica scoffed, holding up her phone. "You're not kidding. Look at this." She read aloud from Natalie's Instagram post: "'Veronica Lodge is a no-one. Gabriel deserves better, and everyone knows it.'"
Gabriel, sitting beside her, looked affronted. "She doesn't even know me!"
Betty, scrolling through her own phone, chimed in. "Oh, it gets worse. She said I should start an OnlyFans." Her voice dripped with sarcasm. "Because apparently, that's what I'm good for."
"Unbelievable," Moose muttered.
Kevin's face turned bright red as he read his own mention. "She said I spread herpes to Rick! What the hell? First off, that's not even true, and second, who does she think she is?"
Jay shook his head in disbelief. "It gets worse, folks. Moose and I just found her TikTok post claiming we're getting a divorce."
Moose looked equally disgusted. "The nerve. How does she come up with this garbage?"
Toni's voice was sharp as she read from her phone. "She said the Southside Serpents don't want me because I'm black." Her jaw tightened as she added, "I've dealt with racism my whole life, but this? Publicly dragging me like this? She's done."
Archie held up his phone next. "She posted 'photos' of her at my house and claimed we were hanging out. Those have to be photoshopped. I don't even let strangers inside my house."
Cheryl's voice was laced with sarcasm as she read, "'Cheryl Blossom hated Jason Blossom and has no respect for her dead brother.' Honestly, Natalie, way to disrespect someone's grief. But I'll accept this lie sarcastically if it means calling you out for being a clown."
Jughead glanced at Tabitha, who was reading over his shoulder. "She went after us, too," Jughead said grimly. "'Tabitha isn't the one for Jughead.' What kind of nonsense is this?"
Tabitha frowned. "She doesn't get to dictate our marriage. Not after everything we've been through."
Josie crossed her arms, looking furious. "She dragged Josie and the Pussycats into this, claiming she'd love to join us despite having a 'terrible voice.' Well, Natalie, newsflash—you're never joining my band."
Jay leaned against the wall, visibly done. "Okay, this is officially ridiculous. She's like a comedic version of Hailey Upton."
Moose nodded, half-joking. "Except Hailey's games were actually twisted and life-threatening. Natalie's just...pathetic."
Everyone shared a moment of grim laughter before Veronica stood up. "We can't let her win. We need to report every post she's made and take control of the narrative."
Kevin nodded. "Agreed. Let's remind her who she's messing with."
As they began coordinating their responses, the gang felt a renewed sense of unity. Even though Natalie's antics had thrown them for a loop, they knew that together, they could handle anything—drama, lies, and all.
