As Jay Halstead and Moose Mason left Cheryl's house, a sense of relief washed over them. They had taken a significant step in their journey of reconciliation, and the support from Cheryl was invaluable. They walked to their car, hand in hand.
"Cheryl finally understands about the past situation between us," Moose said, his voice tinged with emotion.
Jay smiled and squeezed Moose's hand. "I knew she would. Cheryl's always been a great friend. So, how about we go see Archie next?"
Moose nodded, a mix of hope and anxiety in his eyes. "Yeah, I hope Archie will finally understand my truth about the past."
Jay reassured him, "Archie always understands, Moose. Remember, he's one of our best friends."
They got into the car and Moose drove them to Archie's house. Before they got out of the car, Moose took a deep breath. "Okay, let's do this."
They knocked on the front door, and Frank Andrews answered. He was subtly happy to see them. "Jay, Moose, how can I help you?"
"We're here to see Archie," Jay replied.
Frank smiled. "Archie's at the Brews and Bites Café. I can give you the address."
After exchanging a few pleasantries with Frank, Jay and Moose headed back to their car, driving to the café as per Frank's directions. Halfway there, Jay suddenly exclaimed, "Oh no, we left Kit and Sweetie alone at home!"
Panic set in for a moment. Moose quickly called their babysitter, but she wasn't available. Jay then called Betty. "Betty, can you watch Kit and Sweetie for a bit? We left them alone at home."
Betty agreed, and Jay instructed her on where to find the house key. "It's under the mat in front of the front door."
With that sorted, Jay and Moose felt a bit more at ease as they arrived at the Brews and Bites Café. They walked in and quickly spotted Archie enjoying his coffee. He looked up and his face lit up with happiness. "Jay! Moose! Over here!"
They made their way to Archie's table and sat down in front of him. "What's new?" Archie asked, a grin spreading across his face.
Jay and Moose shared a look before Moose spoke. "We've reconciled. Jay and I are back together."
Archie's grin widened. "That's fantastic news! I'm so happy for you both."
Jay smiled. "Thanks, Archie. What have you been up to lately?"
Archie took a sip of his coffee. "Just chilling here at the Brews and Bites Café. I've met some new friends—Jocelyn, Beatrice Fairbanks, and her boyfriend Christian Hughes."
Jay and Moose exchanged surprised glances. "Sounds like you've been busy," Jay remarked.
Archie nodded. "Yeah, it's been interesting. Anyway, do you guys want some coffee?"
"We'll get some later," Jay replied. He then looked at Moose, who took a deep breath before speaking.
"Archie, there's something I need to tell you about the past. When Jay and I's marriage was falling apart, I was in a bad place. I didn't talk to anyone about it, not even you. I was too ashamed, too depressed. I only opened up to Betty and Veronica."
Archie's expression softened, his concern evident. "Moose, you should have come to me. We're friends. I would have understood."
Moose nodded, his eyes filled with regret. "I know, and I'm sorry. I was just so lost. But Jay and I have reconciled, and we're trying to move forward. We wanted you to know the truth."
Jay added, "We're working on healing, Archie. We just wanted to be honest with you about everything."
Archie reached out and put a reassuring hand on Moose's shoulder. "Thank you for telling me, Moose. And Jay, I'm glad you're both working things out. It takes a lot of courage to face these things."
Moose smiled, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. "Thank you, Archie. Your support means a lot to us."
Archie nodded, a warm smile spreading across his face. "You two are stronger than you think. And remember, you've got friends here who love you."
As they continued to talk, the bond between the three friends grew stronger. Jay and Moose felt a renewed sense of hope and determination. They knew that with the support of their friends in Riverdale, they could face any challenge that came their way.
Leaving the café, they walked hand in hand, ready to continue their journey together. The road ahead might be uncertain, but their love and determination would guide them through, one step at a time.
