Mavis: Last time on Challenge Island, our contestants went head-to-head against each other. They attempted to battle each other for points. We've had a few good ones, but a lot of them ended up falling in the water. However, poor Elfman couldn't bring himself to actually fight back against his sisters. That ended up costing his team the win, and it also meant he was eliminated. Still, he took it like a real man. Who will be the next one eliminated? It's almost "scary" to think about. Find out right here on Challenge Island!

After the Elimination Ceremony, the Fierce Falcons were on their way back to the cabin. It wasn't easy to vote out their strongest teammate, but they had to do it. As they were heading for their own cabin, they heard screaming coming from the Tenacious Tigers cabin and saw Lisanna come running out with her shaking her body all around. It certainly got the attention of everyone.

"Lisanna!" Erza called as they all came over to her. "What's wrong?"

"There was a creepy bug crawling on me!" Lisanna said with fear in her voice. Mirajane came over and comforted her sister.

"Wait. Where's Elfman? Don't tell me you voted him out." Mirajane said.

"Sorry, but we had to." Gray said. "He would have kept losing challenges for us because he didn't like going against the two of you. Back to what happened..."

"Are you okay, Lisanna? Why did you freak over one bug?" Sting questioned.

"Lisanna always had a problem with bugs. She loves animals, but bugs give her the creeps." Mirajane said.

"You're scared of bugs? Are you five?" Laxus mocked.

"It's not funny, Laxus. A fear is nothing to laugh at." Erza said. "Everyone is scared of something, even if others think it's ridiculous. For example, some people say I have a serious case of stage fright. Although, that clearly can't be the case since I'm right here on a reality television show."

"Maybe that's a bad example, but I do agree with what Erza is saying." Rogue said.

"You would. You're scared of bulldogs." Sting teased with Rogue getting annoyed.

Confessional (Lucy): After that, everyone started talking about things they were afraid of. Some made sense. Juvia is afraid of being out in a thunderstorm, Sting doesn't want to go bald, and Lyon is afraid of bats. There were some that were a little odd. Jellal said he's scared of frogs, Levy is afraid of burning books, even Minerva admitted she's afraid of wrestlers. When and why would they encounter stuff like that?

"What's my big fear? I say...being all alone in a creepy place." Lucy admitted.

"Rollercoasters. Those things freak me out." Natsu admitted.

"I'm scared of tarantulas. Who wouldn't be?" Gray claimed.

"You poor ladies." Loke said as he put his arms around Levy and Lucy. "Your fears are understandable, but don't worry. I'll help you with them when the time comes."

"My... How chivalrous of you." Levy teased. "So, what are you afraid of?"

"Easy. Nothing is scarier than an angry woman. Am I right, brothers?" Loke admitted.

"Amen." Sting said as they all agreed with him.

"Wimps." Laxus teased.

"I'll give you some of them, but the others just sound ridiculous." Gajeel claimed.

"Is that so, big guy? What are you afraid of? Being arrested again?" Levy teased.

"Hoo... The bookworm's got a mouth." Gajeel said.

"Well? What are you afraid of? Everyone else talked." Levy said. All of them looked at Gajeel like they wanted him to talk. It was like that look you couldn't turn away from and had to answer even though you didn't want to. With a sigh, Gajeel let it out.

"Jennifer Lopez." Gajeel said.

"Jennifer Lopez?! I love her!" Lucy said. "Why would you be scared of her?"

"You've seen how she looks!" Gajeel said.

"Are you saying that she's so hot that it scares you?" Laxus said as this was unbelievable.

"Shut up!" Gajeel said as he was embarrassed now.

"What about you, Laxus?" Mirajane said.

"Nothing. I'm not afraid of anything." Laxus claimed.

"Come on. Everyone else said what they were afraid of." Mirajane said. "I for one would be scared if anything were to happen to Lisanna or Elfman."

"We're talking about real fears, which I don't have." Laxus said being the only one that won't say what he's afraid of. "Now, if you chickens will excuse me, this pack of studly beef is going to bed." He went back to his cabin and felt like the bravest of them all.

...

The Next Day

"Good morning, everyone!" Mavis said. Everyone was in the cafeteria for breakfast, but Mavis was ready to jump into the challenges. "I hope you all will be able to hold your breakfast. I thought of a challenge like this, but we couldn't get the info needed for it...until now. Today...you all face your fears!"

"Say what?! Our fears?!" Gray said.

"How would she know what we're afraid of?" Natsu questioned until Lucy realized it.

"Because we told them last night!" Lucy said.

"Mavis, that's eavesdropping!" Rogue said.

"I know, and I'm sorry, but this could be a great opportunity for you all to get over the fears you're ashamed of." Mavis said, but they were all rather nervous about this. "Here's how it will work. All of you will face your own fear challenge. If you can pass them, you earn a point for your team. Whichever team conquers the most fears wins today's challenge. I hope you're all ready because the first one up is a live performance by Erza."

"That's it? Easy." Erza said as she could handle this.

"Before that, Rogue is up first because there's someone here that would love to meet you." Mavis said. She gave off a whistle and that was when a bulldog came in with it running straight to Rogue. Rogue couldn't hide his fear as he screamed and ran off with the dog chasing after him. He didn't even try to face his fear. "Well... I think that one is already a failure. Let's move on."

...

Erza

"We're now live with Erza giving a performance as she plays the part of Juliet from Romero and Juliet." Mavis announced to the audience. Mavis had a stage built for Erza's challenge. "All she has to do is try to make it through her line. Not as easy as she thought." Erza was on stage with a script in her hands, but they could all see her trembling. She tried to speak her lines but was stuttering.

"So Erza does have stage fright, but she's fine in front of a camera." Gray said.

"I think it only applies when she actually has to act. She's got no problems acting as herself." Lucy said.

"Rom... Rom... Romero... Wherefore art...though...Romeo? Deny... Deny thy father...and thy name." Erza was struggling to say the line, but she was getting it out in her own way.

"She might be scared, but at least she's saying the line and I can hear her. A point for the Fierce Falcons!" Mavis called with them having a point now. "Now, let's move on."

...

Levy

"Levy, all you have to do is throw this textbook of modern history into that fire." Mavis instructed. She held out a book for Levy and had a fire going. All Levy had to do was throw it in. Seems simple enough, but Levy was struggling to do that. She just couldn't bring herself to do it.

"I can't!" Levy refused. "This could hold fascinating and new information for me to learn about! I can't destroy a source of great information!" Refusing to do it, her team groaned as they now lost a point.

"That's too bad, but we can now give the Tigers a chance." Mavis said. "Mirajane, your fear was a little hard, but I think we might have found something." Mavis pointed right up. They all looked and saw a helicopter flying over head that had a cheap mannequin of Elfman hanging from it. "We made that mannequin look just like Elfman and are going to drop it in the fire. Let it happen and your team gets a point."

"That's it? Mira said her fear is if something happened to her siblings. She knows that's a fake." Sting said. "This one is easy."

"Let's find out." Mavis said. She gave the signal to drop the mannequin. It was dropped and heading straight for the ground. Once it hits the ground, it will be a point for the Tigers. That's what should have happened, but Mirajane acted and was able to catch the mannequin.

"Got it!" Mirajane said.

"Mira! You were suppose to let it fall! Why did you catch it?!" Sting said.

"I couldn't. It looks too much like Elfman." Mirajane claimed, but the it looked like a poorly made version of Elfman, and she still chose to save it? She must really love her siblings.

...

A Cave

"Here's where we will do Lyon's challenge." Mavis said with Lyon getting a little nervous as he entered the cave. "Once I make a loud sound, a flock of bats will come flying out. All you have to do is not move from that spot. Lyon braced himself and tried to stand his ground for when they came. "NOW!" Mavis screamed into a megaphone. That's what caused the bats to come flying out. Anyone would have been scared from that. However, all Lyon did was duck down and tried to avoid being hit by any of the bats. All of them flew right out and Lyon didn't move from his spot like Mavis said. "That's another point for the Falcons!"

"Boy. This is getting intense. I'm actually a little nervous about my turn." Lucy told Natsu.

"Well, I'm sorry, but it is your turn, Lucy." Mavis said. "This cave is the creepiest spot on the whole island. You have to stay in there for about two hours alone. The rest of you will continue on with the challenges." Lucy was really nervous about this one. However, she felt someone slip something into her hands and saw that Natsu gave her a walkie. She wasn't expecting that, but it might make her feel better.

...

The Challenge

"The Tigers are already behind two to nothing, but Minerva might have a chance to change that." Mavis claimed. Minerva stood facing a wrestler, but she was clearly trembling. The wrestler charged right at Minerva. Just when it was about to grab her, Minerva ducked down to cover herself and that caused the wrestler to trip right over and crash into the ground. "I'll allow that." She claimed and the Tigers finally got a point. "Let's see if the Falcons can keep their lead. Juvia is up next." Juvia was guided to a seat and given a VR headset. "Since we can't actually make it storm, VR is the best we can do. You just need to last thirty seconds."

"That's it? I can do that. Its not real." Juvia said. She put the headset on, but she saw and heard the most realistic storm there could be. The pouring rain, raging wind, roaring thunder, and striking lightning was too much. She tossed the headset off and ran into Gray for comfort, not that he gave much.

"I'm afraid that wasn't thirty seconds. You okay, Gray?" Mavis asked.

"Me? I'm fine. Why?" Gray questioned. Mavis pointed to his shoulder and that was when he spotted a tarantula was sneaked on to his shoulder. He so wanted to scream, but he wanted to win.

"Just remove it with your hand. Gently so it won't bite, but we do have medical treatment on standby." Mavis said. Gray tried to keep himself calm as he grabbed the disgusting creature and placed it down on the ground. "That's another point! The Falcons have three points while the Tigers only have one. Maybe Jellal can change that." Jellal was real nervous now.

Confessional (Jellal): I didn't always have a problem with frogs. It started when my science class dissected them. It was disgusting, but the one I cut opened had a full meal of bugs in its stomach. I felt sick seeing that.

Jellal's challenge was next with a live frog right across from him. All Jellal had to do was let it rest in his hands.

"Come on, Jellal! We need some points!" Minerva called. Jellal took a deep breath and reached out for it. He grabbed the slimy creature, but he started to think it wasn't so bad with it alive. Jellal had a hold of it and felt proud. That's another point for the Tigers.

...

Lucy

Lucy had to sit in that cave alone for at a couple hours. It was pretty creepy, but there was a way for her to cope.

"You're doing fine. Don't worry about it." Natsu said.

"I can't believe you swiped these walkies." Lucy said. That's why Natsu gave her one. Talking to him made her feel more at ease. "Isn't this cheating?"

"You're still alone in the cave." Natsu said. "I just thought this would help face your fear." Lucy really did appreciate what he was doing.

"Hey, you're not still mad at me about not telling you about my family wealth, are you?" Lucy asked.

"Well, I was at first, but it doesn't matter anymore." Natsu claimed. Lucy was glad to hear that. "In fact, I..." "Natsu! There you are! Its tome for your challenge."

"Uh... I have to go." Natsu said.

"Natsu! Wait! Natsu!" Lucy called, but she really was all alone now.

...

Natsu

"I can't believe you managed to put this together in less than a day." Natsu said as he looked at a surprisingly made roller coaster.

"You know the drill, Natsu. You've got to ride this and can't scream that you want off." Mavis said. Natsu was really nervous about this, but he had to do it. He got right in the cart and braced himself. "Have fun." Mavis started to up and the cart started going. In fact, it just took off without any build and warning with Natsu screaming at the top of his lungs. "While Natsu is dealing with that, lets get to the others."

...

Sting

"Sting, it's your turn." Mavis said as they stood in the bathroom.

"You're not going to shave my head, are you?" Sting said.

"No. You just need to wear this realistic bald cap and look at yourself in the mirror for one minute, and not a second sooner." Mavis explained. Sting did just that. He got the cap on and looked right in the mirror, but it looked very real. Sting wanted to look away but couldn't. He had to stay strong, but was on the verge of hyperventilating.

"Okay. Maybe I can think of ways to pull it off." Sting said as he tried to put up with it. Time went by until it was one minute.

"You pass! That's three for Tigers!" Mavis called with Sting ripping the cap off.

...

Loke

"Okay, Loke. You're scared of angry woman." Mavis said. "I don't know why they're angry. They just want to take their anger out on something." Those angry women were being brought in like they were wild animals in cage. Once it opened up, poor Loke didn't get a chance. They all just came at him with shouting and attacking him. That one was over in seconds. "I don't think I can count that."

...

Gajeel

"Since we couldn't get the real Jennifer Lopez, Gajeel will have to do with a cardboard copy." Mavis announced. Gajeel was met with one of Jennifer Lopez, but even that had him nervous. "All you have to do is hug it."

"That looks pretty real." Gajeel said as he couldn't hide fear.

"Gajeel, it's made of cardboard! We need that point!" Minerva called. Gajeel was rather nervous. Levy might be on the other tram, but she felt so bad for him.

"Hey." Levy whispered. "Forget the game. Its okay if you can't. No one will think less of you." Gajeel appreciated that, but he realized he had to do it for himself.

"I'm going for it!" Gajeel said. He ran right in and hugged the copy. That earned another point for the Tigers.

...

Lucy

Lucy tried to keep it together in the cave, but so wished Natsu would be back. She tried to hold in all the terror until time finally ran out. When she was clear, she ran right out of there as fast as she could.

"Urgh... I can still feel that thing on me." Gray complained from his own challenge. Lucy kept on running until she ran right into him. "Lucy? Are you okay?"

"I just... I just..." Lucy said, but the fear was getting to her. Gray felt bad for her and her her closer so that would feel secure and calm. Lucy was beginning to, but couldn't believe Gray was giving her that feeling. Juvia saw it and couldn't believe it herself.

Confessional (Juvia): How come Gray is comforting Lucy like that, but he didn't do that with me?

Lucy wasn't the only one that cleared her challenge. Natsu was finally able to get off the ride, but felt like he wanted to vomit after riding that. Regardless, both of them cleared their challenges and brought the Falcons score to five.

...

The Challenge

"You're turn, Lisanna." Mavis said. "This might be a little gross, but all you have to do is let this bucket of insects crawl on you." She said as she showed a bucket filled with bugs.

"That's disgusting." Juvia complained, and might not happen. Lisanna looked too terrified to actually go through with it.

"Lisanna, pull it together. We need this point so that we can win." Laxus said.

"Actually, if you do the match, the score is five to four." Lucy reminded. "Even if she does this, the score will just be tied."

"Not exactly. There's still one more after this." Mavis said as she looked right at Laxus.

"What? Me? But I never said what I was afraid of." Laxus reminded.

"I know, so to keep this game fair, we got in touch with some people that you know and they told us what you're afraid of." Mavis said. Now Laxus was feeling nervous.

"I knew you were afraid of something." Mirajane said.

"So what? Lisanna obviously isn't going to do her challenge. Even if I clear mine, the score will still be tied." Laxus said.

"Let's make this interesting." Mavis said. "Since you were "so brave" and didn't admit your fear, Laxus, I'll announce your team as the winner if you can clear your challenge." That sounded like a good deal to Laxus, but can he really do this? They're about to find out. What they didn't expect was Laxus' fear. An entire poll of gelatin.

"You're scared of gelatin?" Gajeel teased.

"Shit up! I had a bad experience once!" Laxus said. "I landed face-first in it, and it got so far up my nose that I needed doctors to get it all out."

"All you have to do is dive in, Laxus." Mavis said. His team winning this all comes down if he could do it. Laxus climbed his way up the diving board and tried to get the courage to do it. He made it to the top, now all he has to do is face the fear and dive right in. Laxus tried to get the courage to do it, but that bad experience just came flashing back to him.

"I can't do it!" Laxus said with shame. That means the Tigers lost and the Falcons win it.

"There you have it." Mavis announced. "Tigers, I'll see you at the Elimination Ceremony." Laxus felt so ashamed of himself. He's probably the physically strongest competitor, and yet he just couldn't face gelatin.

...

The Elimination Ceremony

The Tenacious Tigers were back at the Elimination Ceremony once again. It's never easy to face your fear, but they did what they had to do. Now, they have to face one more fear.

"Tigers, welcome back to Elimination Ceremony. As you know, whoever has the most votes must leave Tenrou Island and their time here is over." Mavis claimed. "The four who did face their challenges are safe: Minerva, Jellal, Sting, and Gajeel." Those four were obvious, but the rest didn't complete their challenges and made them targets. "Rogue, you didn't complete your challenge, but you have no votes against you. You're safe."

"Phew." Rogue sighed as he was glad to know that. That only left three.

"The same isn't true for you three. You didn't complete your challenges, and you each have at least one vote against you." Mavis said. All three of them were getting anxious again. "The next one that is safe, having only two votes is..." They all hoped that it was one of them. "Mirajane." Mira was glad that was her, but she is hoping Lisanna pulls through. Lisanna and Laxus looked at each other with them hoping it's the other. "Down to just you two. With the results being four to two, the last one who is safe is..." They both wanted her to just say it as they couldn't take it. "Laxus."

"Oh man." Laxus said as he felt like he could breathe again.

"Oh no." Mirajane said as that means she's losing her sister now.

"I'm sorry, Lisanna. It's time to go." Mavis said.

"Well, it looks like it's just up to you now, Mira." Lisanna said. "Win for me and Elfman."

"I will." Mirajane promised. She hated to see her sister go already, but she was putting on a brave face for them. Mira walked Lisanna to the dock and gave her sister one more hug before leaving.

"That's it for the fear challenge, but our contestants will still have to face their fear of being the next one eliminated." Mavis said. "See who it will be next time on Challenge Island!"
