Some are volunteers, determined to save their people from the Capitol's plan to divide the districts from within, others volunteered because they're determined to win, and some are there simply because they're victims of fate. A rebellion was sparked during the 95th Hunger Games. Panem almost fell. But the Capitol squashed the rebellion, extinguishing any hope at a new future. Now, President Pitheart is in charge, and he refuses to allow Panem to break. With all his victors on a tight leash, he's about to welcome 24 new tributes to the 110th Hunger Games.
