"We originally planned to be part of the elite guard, but due to… circumstances…. We were kicked out" Bee explained to Lancex, with the yellow compact pointing to himself and Bulkhead.
"Yeah… circumstances" Bulkhead agreed. Lancex merely nodded, as he wasn't exactly sure what that was, but he could understand rejection.
"I was an apprentice bot to a master ninja bot for my skills, before said bot was mysteriously killed" Prowl explained. "I traveled around, alone and lost until until Optimus and his crew stumbled upon me and invited me to join them."
"I was once a celebrated war medic during what our planet called the great wars. But once they were seemingly over, I was considered too old and was seemingly discarded. I was unceremoniously placed on this crew by a… certain bot… who didn't believe I had the skills to remain in what is now called the Elite Guard" Ratchet explained, his disdain for a certain bot showing when he mentioned the words "certain bot." Ratchet didn't mention it, but he had been "demoted" before Ultra Magnus had become the Ultra.
Lancex then looked to Optimus, who was yet to speak. "I was part of the academy. I had made it quite far but after a certain incident, involving myself and cadets junior to me, I was kicked out of the guard, but made a leader of a group of maintenance bots. It wasn't glamorous, but at least I wasn't completely tossed aside and was allowed to keep my earned title of Prime" Optimus offered. It was painful, but Optimus had made peace with it somewhat. Lancex nodded, but he wasn't sure where things went from here.
"Lancex, I need to examine you" Ratchet piped up. Lancex was a bit confused. "You fought Megatron. Megatron always does damage and so I need to check on your systems." Lancex nodded and headed out with the medic. Ratchet also demanded the dinobots come for a examination and all but Grimlock were mostly compliant. Grimlock only came if Ratchet agreed that Grimlock could stay with Lancex. Lancex, not wanting a war breaking out of him, agreed as well. Unseen by the first five, Bee and the others watch as Optimus silently followed Ratchet and the others. They just chalked it up to him being leader, but if only they knew it was more than that.
Curious about the Dinobots, Prowl secretly scanned them as they headed off. What Prowl found shocked him – as the Dinobots now had fully intact sparks. Prowl wasn't sure what that meant or how it happened, but not wanting to be around the base for now, he headed out. Bee and Bulkhead soon followed suit, as neither really wanted to be around if a dinobot went nuts. They would check in with the boss bot later.
