Focused on the mystery bot and unaware of what Bulkhead and Prowl were working on, Optimus made his way back to the base with Bee and Ratchet in tow. If Prime had paid closer attention, he would have realized two of the group were missing, but he wasn't focused on that for now. Now that Optimus had a name, he had to look up the bot. Bee being Bee decided to go screw off while Ratchet followed the Prime. He also wanted to know of this bot, as Ratchet knew of almost all Autobots and most Decepticons, though it was possible there were a few he hadn't met or knew.
Optimus reached teletran 1 first and scanned all the files he had access to, but the further he delved, the more disappointed he became as the name he received didn't appear in the databanks no matter how the Prime spelled it. Optimus sighed before heading out, wondering if the bot really was a ghostly mirage. But that made no sense, the bot had to exist. Ratchet only reached the room as Optimus was leaving. "Any luck?" Ratchet asked, curious about the new bot bus also sensing something about the young Prime.
"No. No matter how I put the name in or what files I scan, it is like he never existed or he was an unknown neutral. I am unable to access those kinds of files, much as wish I could. Since I was booted m the academy, my access is not what a full prime's access should be" Optimus replied with a heavy sigh.
Ratchet nodded, he would also have to look up the bot, but Ratchet sensed more. "You like him, don't you?" Asked the old medic bluntly. He never was one to bear around the bush.
Optimus blushed, but tried to fend it off. "He… he would be an excellent addition to our team" Optimus replied, trying his best to leave this awkward conversation.
"Sure…. Sure he would Prime" Ratchet said with a knowing smile, as his tools had picked up on the Prime's unspoken reaction. Ratchet let the young bot go. Optimus headed out while Ratchet went to the computer to look things up. Ratchet had far more access to things than most any bot including the Ultra. If he couldn't find this bot in the system somewhere and somehow, this bot truly was an unknown wild card and those could be a double edged sword at times, or so Ratchet had learned the hard way.
