The Clone
Nate woke up before Kimberly did. He laid there and combed his bangs back. What they did last night was crazy. She's his boss! Are things going to change between them? Was this just a one night stand? He didn't know how Kimberly felt about him. He also didn't exactly want to be in a relationship. Oh no, what if she gets attached?
He was internally freaking out. He didn't know why he slept with her. At that moment he felt weak. He wanted to feel wanted and he hasn't had sex in a while. He missed it. He's not gonna lie, Kimberly felt good.
God dammit! He gave into temptation yet again. Although like Kimberly and Electra told him, it's not good to bottle things up. Still though, he felt disappointed in himself. His lack of control is going to get him in trouble.
He got up and put his clothes back on. He was about to leave, but he saw how nice her kitchen was. He looked back at Kimberly and smiled.
Kimberly sure is dealing with a lot. She misses her ex husband. It's probably depressing waking up alone. He understood that feeling. Perhaps he should do something kind in exchange for listening to him vent last night.
He went over to her kitchen. He opened the fridge and saw that there were eggs and lunch meat. He looked at the counter and saw a bread box. It's not a fancy meal, but an egg ham sandwich should suffice.
He cooked the eggs and warmed up the ham. He toasted the bread and then assembled the sandwich. He cut it diagonally.
He put their plates on her dinner table. He went on his phone waiting for her to wake up. It wasn't long after. He heard her footsteps and looked up. She widened her eyes and covered her mouth when she saw him. He smiled at her and said, "it's nothing crazy, but I made you a breakfast sandwich."
Kimberly: "F-for me?"
Nate: "Yeah!"
She sat across from him and stared at her plate. She looked happy. She took a bite and her eyes sparkled.
Nate: "Do you like it?"
Kimberly: "It tastes delicious. Thank you, Nate."
Nate: "I'm glad~"
Kimberly: "I don't know why, but I expected you to be gone when I woke up."
Nate: (I sure thought about it.) "Yeah, I dunno. I guess I couldn't resist seeing your pretty face~" *Winks*
Her heart skipped a beat when he said that. He's so charming. He's definitely different from the other men she's slept with in the past. Usually they would leave the next morning, but Nate stuck around and even made her breakfast.
Nate reminded her of her ex husband. Her ex was so caring back then. She frowned at the thought of her ex. She missed him.
Nate: "You ok?"
Kimberly: "Yes, sorry."
Nate: "Somethin' on your mind?"
Kimberly: "You remind me of my ex."
Nate tugged on his shirt collar and cringed.
Nate: "S-sorry."
Kimberly: "No, it's a good thing."
Nate: "It is?"
She stared at her now empty plate and smiled to herself.
Kimberly: "My ex husband was a sweetheart. He used to cook me food all the time."
Nate: "What happened between you two if you don't mind me asking?"
She let out a sigh and frowned.
Kimberly: "I cheated."
Nate: "!"
Kimberly: "Physically he wasn't my type."
Nate: "What did he look like?"
Kimberly: "He was a man's man. He had a nice five o' clock shadow with a strong jawline. He was every woman's dream. A blonde with green eyes."
Nate: "If he's every woman's dream guy, then why wasn't he your type?"
Kimberly: "I thought he was. At first. But when I got my managing job at mach pizza I noticed that I was more attracted to my employees than my own husband."
Nate: "Really?"
Kimberly: "I like a young looking face."
Nate: "Like mine?"
Kimberly: "Yeah. A pretty boy is more my style."
Nate: "I'm flattered."
Kimberly: "Physical attraction is important to me. My ex was perfect in every way, but I didn't think he was all that cute. It made me upset every time I looked at him. I didn't want to think that way, but I couldn't help it."
Nate: "It's understandable."
Kimberly: "You don't think I'm being shallow?"
Nate: "No. It's your preference. You shouldn't have cheated. You should've talked to him about it first, but we all make mistakes. I can't hate you for that because I did the same thing."
Kimberly: "You weren't attracted to your ex?"
Nate: "Oh I absolutely was."
Kimberly: "Then why did you cheat?"
Nate: "I… Because I have problems. Like I said before, I can't stop myself if someone wants to fuck."
Kimberly: "I see."
Nate: "Sorry, if last night… I didn't mean for it to… You know."
Kimberly: "I wanted it. You had my full consent."
Nate: "Yeah, but still… I shouldn't have."
Kimberly: "I was the one that pushed it."
Nate: "I feel like it's my fault."
Kimberly: "What we did last night wasn't a bad thing. Do you regret it?"
Nate: "No offense, but a little. You're my boss."
Kimberly: "Only at work."
Nate: "But I feel like… I dunno. I'm confused."
She went over to him and cupped his face in her hands. She pecked his nose and gave him a reassuring smile.
Kimberly: "We needed each other last night. What we did wasn't bad."
Nate: "Are you sure?"
Kimberly: "Yes."
Nate: "I don't think we should do it again."
Kimberly: "Why not?"
Nate: "I dunno. What if… Something happens between us?"
Kimberly: "Like what?"
Nate: "What if we start developing feelings toward each other?"
Kimberly: "Why would that be a problem?"
Nate: "I'm not mature enough to commit."
Kimberly: "We'll take things slow."
Nate: "That's the problem. I never take things slow."
Kimberly: "I can help you work on it."
Nate: "This isn't a good idea. I'm trying to stay away from romance. I-I'm scared of it."
Kimberly: "Don't worry, we won't be anything more."
Nate: "But what if-
Kimberly: "Shhh. It'll be ok. We can just be friends with benefits. I think right now it's important that we're not alone. It's a nice release, don't you think?"
Nate: "Well yeah, but-
Kimberly: "Then don't stress about the future."
Nate: "You're right."
Kimberly: "We'll figure things out as they come."
Nate: "Ok."
Kimberly: "Good boy. Now, I gotta get ready for work."
Nate: "Already?"
Kimberly: "Yeah, it takes me hours to do my makeup."
Nate: *Snickers* "Seriously?"
Kimberly: "Don't laugh. It's a girl thing. You wouldn't understand."
Nate: "Ok, but hours?!"
Kimberly: "It's an art. Now scram~"
Nate: "Ok, ok, I'm goin'."
She chuckled to herself as he left her place. She went to her bathroom and played music on her phone. She then started doing her makeup.
Meanwhile with Nate…
He made it back to his place. Like he expected, Rachel and Tracy were gone. He went to the kitchen and did the dishes.
After that, he went to his room and booted up League.

The two started playing together. As they were on champion select, Ness noticed that one of his teammates wanted to pick Zac. However, he knew that Zac was bad right now. He hovered over the champion to ban him.

Nate: "Whoa, hey, stop!"
Ness: "What?"
Nate: "Don't ban Zac."
Ness: "Why? He sucks."
Nate: "Yeah, but our teammate wants to play him."
Ness: "I don't care. If he picks Zac we'll lose."
Nate: "That's not necessarily true."
Ness: "Pretty much."
Nate: "Dude, don't do it. You'll piss him off."
Ness: "If he wants to bitch about it, then let him."
Nate: "No, see, this is why you fight with your team all the time."

The countdown was down to five seconds.

Ness sighed in defeat. He ended up banning a different champion instead.

Ness: "Don't patronize me."
Nate: "He would've got tilted."
Ness: "Yeah whatever."

His teammate that hovered over Zac ended up banning Ness's champion Lee Sin.

Ness: "THAT FUCKING BITCH!"
Nate: "Hahaha!"
Ness: "He… Mmm… I…" *Breathes heavily*
Nate: "Damn, what an asshole."
Ness: "I can't believe he did that!"
Nate: "He probably thought you were gonna ban his champ."
Ness: "Well, I DIDN'T!"
Nate: "I know. What a bitch."
Ness: "It's fine. It's all good. I'm just not going to gank for him."
Nate: "Uhh… But that might lose us the game."
Ness: "I'd rather be petty."
Nate: "But we're playin' ranked."
Ness: "I don't care. I'm tilted."
Nate: "I know he banned your champ, but hey, it happens. I think you should still gank for him. Who knows, he might feel bad that he did you dirty."
Ness: "Ffffine."

Ness ended up choosing Wukong instead. They made it passed the loading screen and into the game. The beginning was alright, things were going smoothly. Nothing crazy has happened. That is until the Zac started feeding.

Nate: "Hey, I think the Zac needs ganks."
Ness: *Sighs* ["This is why you don't play Zac mid."]

Ness went in for a gank and surprisingly they were able to kill the enemy champion.

The rest of the game went well. They ended up losing. Usually Ness would be angry, but with Nate there, he was calmer. His clone would often make jokes and it lifted Ness's spirits up.
Nate makes a lot of mistakes, but he was good at one thing and that was making sure people were having a good time. Of course he's not perfect about it, but he was often able to stay positive if the issue wasn't directed at him.
After playing a few more games, they both decided to call it quits for tonight.

Nate: "Yeah, me too."
Ness: "Can you say hi to my mom and Tracy for me?"
Nate: "Of course."
Ness: "Cool. Goodnight."
Nate: "Goodnight, I love you~"
Ness: "Y-yeah, me too."
*Discord end call noise*
Nate leaned against his gaming chair and stretched his limbs. He let out a yawn and headed downstairs. He saw Rachel cooking in the kitchen like always.
Nate: "Hey, whatcha cookin'?"
Rachel: "Oh! I'm making mac and cheese with meatloaf."
Nate: "That sounds bomb! Can you teach me?"
Rachel: "Of course! C'mere."
He went into the kitchen and she made him prep veggies and grate the cheese. She praised him. It made him feel happy. Once dinner was finished, she asked him to plate it for everyone. He gladly listened and did so.
The two waited for Tracy to come back home. It wasn't long. She opened the door and saw the two.
Tracy: "Hey."
Rachel: "How was school, sweetie?"
Tracy: "It was fun! I'm so glad I'm on the cheerleading team."
Rachel: "Made any new friends?"
Tracy: "Yeah! At first I thought that the other girls were gonna be mean to me, but turns out they're cool."
Nate: "That's awesome!"
Tracy: "Plus I get good exercise."
Tracy joined the family and they began eating. They continued to chat about Tracy's day until dinner was over. Rachel went back to the kitchen and started cleaning. Nate went back to his room and Tracy followed him in.
He sat on his chair and pulled out his phone. She sat on his bed and gave him a smirk.
Tracy: "Spill it."
Nate: "Spill what?"
Tracy: "You didn't come back home last night."
Nate: "Oh! Uh, I spent the night over at my friend's place."
Tracy: "A girl's place."
Nate: "Yeah."
Tracy: "Did you two do it?"
Nate: "What!"
Tracy: "Did you get laaaid?"
Nate: *Blushes* "N-no!"
Tracy: "C'mon, you can tell me. How was it?"
Nate: "Why do you wanna know so bad?"
Tracy: "So you did do it!"
Nate: "Shhh! Not so loud. No I didn't."
Tracy: "Oh, wait. So you're like my brother then."
Nate: "Not even close."
Tracy: "You got no game like he does."
Nate: "Sure. Whatever."
Tracy: "You're not making this fun. Usually Ness would get all defensive and argue back."
Nate: "I'm plenty fun."
Tracy: "Oh! There it is~"
He smiled and rolled his eyes.
Tracy: "I am still curious about what you did last night."
Nate: "My friend wasn't feelin' well so I came over and we talked. That's it."
Tracy raised a brow and gave him a look of doubt.
Nate: "I mean you can think what you want, but that's what happened."
Tracy: "Mkay, whatever. Anyway, I didn't wanna say this in front of mom, but I was able to talk to my crush today!"
Nate: "Whoa, what! How'd that go?"
Tracy: "I was so nervous at first, but we ended up having a good chat."
Nate: "Did you ask him out?"
Tracy: "No! We just started talkin'. Are you crazy?"
Nate: "Hahaha!"
Tracy: "Anyway, it was great! I really like him. I think he's the one for me."
She had hearts in her eyes. She reminded him of himself when he fell for Lucas. He sat next to her and ruffled up her hair.
Nate: "I'm sure one day you'll win his heart. It doesn't take much for us guys."
Tracy: "I know. You men are so simple."
Nate: "True. I can't deny."
Tracy: "Oooh! I have a question."
Nate: "What's that?"
Tracy: "So if you didn't do stuff with your friend last night, are you still a virgin?"
Nate: "W-what kind of question is that?!"
Tracy: "I'm curious."
Nate: "I'm not tellin' you."
Tracy: "So you are a virgin."
Nate: "Ha! As if."
Tracy: "Thanks for confirming what you did last night."
Nate: "W-wait, no."
Tracy: "Hahaha!"
Nate: "Why do you care about my love life so much?"
Tracy: "I'm nosy."
Nate: "I can tell."
Tracy: "Does it hurt for the girl?"
Nate: "I-I don't know! Can we not talk about this?"
Tracy: "I'm just curious."
Nate: "Talk to your mom about it. Not me."
Tracy: "If I talk to her about it, she's gonna think I'm tryin' to do it with someone."
Nate: "Uh…" (This is awkward.)
Tracy: "Which, I mean…"
Nate: "Alright, it's gettin' late. I should head to bed. I got work tomorrow."
Tracy: "You work in the evenings."
Nate: "Yeah, well, it takes me a while to sleep."
Tracy: "Fiiiine. I'll leave."
Nate: "Goodnight."
Tracy: "Nighty night, brother."
She shut the door behind her. He blinked a couple times. She called him brother. That's the first time she's done that. Does this mean he's getting closer with Ness's family? If so, it felt nice.
