So much had occurred since Tommy and Kimberly transferred their powers to Billy and Kat. For one thing, Billy finally asked Kat to be his girl friend. Rocky had finally asked Aisha to be his girl friend. Aisha's cousin Tanya had moved to town and immediately noticed Adam. And you better believe Adam noticed her. Tanya was telling Aisha how much she liked Adam. And Adam was telling Rocky the same thing. Aisha and Rocky sat Tanya and Adam on a blind date and they ended up getting together.

Right before Tommy and Kimberly transfered their powers, they had just received their zeo powers. Billy was now the red ranger. The Machine Empire had just arrived and had taken Rita and Zedd's place. Now, everytime the rangers turned around, the monster attacks were resuming. It was almost like Rita and Zedd never left.

Not being power rangers anymore, gave them a lot of free time. They missed getting to spend time with their friends. But, they knew that their ranger duties had to come first. This gave Tommy and Kimberly a lot of free time together. Tommy could not help from noticing Kimberly was really upset about the end of the year approaching. She had promised her mom she would go to Paris.

"I'm really going to miss you," Kimberly said. "I would give anything for us to stay together. You are the only boy I will ever love."

"Kim, what if there was a way we could stay together?" Tommy hinted as he reached into his pocket.

"Tommy, that would be wonderful," Kimberly answered as Tommy got down on his knee.

He opened up a small pink box. Inside was was a ring with a pink heart shaped gem. Tears began to run down Kimberly's face as soon as she saw the ring.

"I can't imagine life without my best friend," Tommy began as he took hold of her hand. "When I first met you, I knew it was love at first sight. Beautiful, will you marry me?"

"Yes, a million times yes," Kimberly smiled through her tears.

Summer 1996

Tommy awoke as rain was pounding on his bedroom window. He glanced down at the Carmel hair resting on his bare chest. He couldn't help from smiling as he listened to Kimberly breath as she put her arms around his waist. He couldn't believe it was August 6th. It had been over a month since Kimberly became his wife. He still couldn't get how beautiful his wife looked at the wedding. A pink strapless floor length dress, pink dress gloves, and her hair up in a messy bun. His heart still broke when her parents wouldn't come to the wedding. Surely, they could have at least gotten along for one day. Kimberly knew she didn't want her father to walk her down the aisle because they weren't very close and she grew up listening to her parents fight until they divorced. Tommy suggested that she could walk herself down the aisle. He explained that no one owned her and no one had to give her away. He still pictured her walking down the aisle and when she was half way down the aisle, he did something no one was expecting. He told her to stop and he made his way over to her. And he kissed her. Everyone looked at him and he told them, "she is so beautiful, I couldn't resist from kissing her." As soon as he made that comment everyone was laughing. Kimberly blushed and he escorted her down the rest of the way.

Sadly, Kimberly's mom had called the day after the wedding and said another reason why she didn't come to wedding was because she thought Kimberly married beneath her. She expected her to marry someone with money and influence. But, Kimberly told her she married for love. And Caroline never called back again. Jan on the other hand was satisfied with gaining Kimberly as a daughter in law. She had always wanted a daughter.

"I hope I can give you everything that you have ever wanted," Tommy whispered as he stroked Kimberly's back. "You deserve love and a better life where no one is hiding things from you. I never told you this before. It really broke my heart when your mother hid the fact she was dating that French painter. You deserved to know and it wasn't fair that she got engaged without giving you a chance to get to know him."

"You are all I ever wanted," Kimberly answered letting out a loud yawn.

"How long have you been awake?" Tommy asked.

"About five minutes," Kimberly replied. "Just a lot on my mind. Remember when Mr. Kaplan called two weeks ago?"

"When he told us that all the classes that we took over the summer the last two years counts towards graduation-"

"-and we have enough credits to graduate," Kimberly finished. "I wasn't expecting that to happen. The only reason why I took classes was because my mom was bringing strange men into the house every day. And there were several I didn't like. I just wanted to get out of the house."

"I took classes with you so you wouldn't have to be by yourself all day," Tommy said. "I can't believe that the AP cLasses that we took will count towards our first year and we will actually be Sophomores."

"I was hoping that we could spend our senior year together," Kimberly sighed when Tommy put his arm around her.

"Kim, we have a whole new adventure ahead of us," Tommy reminded her. "We are going to be going be attending Reefside University next week. And we leave tommorrow."

"I have never been away from home before," Kimberly started. Tommy wrapped his arms around her. He rolled over on his back and Kimberly was laying on top of his stomach. She gazed down into his chocolate eyes. "We are going to be four hours away from Angel Grove."

"Beautiful, I am scared too," he revealed. "I have never been away from home either. But, you are going with me. And we are getting to room together. This is the first move that I am going through where I am not going by myself. I am glad we got all of our classes together. At least, I will have one friend at college."

"I can't believe you two are going to college a year early," Jan smiled through tears. "But, I couldn't be more proud of you. Please take care of each other."

"Don't worry, we will," Kimberly promised as Jan hugged her and Tommy.

As Jan left their dorm room, Kimberly helped Tommy put a comforter on the bed. It was customized. It had a sky print background with a white falcon, pink crane, a pterodactyl and green dragon flying through the sky. At the bottom of the comforter was a white tiger standing on a cliff.

Kimberly stood in the hair salon as she watched Tommy get in the chair. She just finished getting her hair trimmed. And she paid the lady at the cash register for both of hers and Tommy's haircut. For weeks he had been telling Kimberly he was wanting short spiky hair. But, he never got a chance to do it because of his ranger duties. He was lucky if he could get a hair trim. Now, he can finally do it.

"I wonder if he will still be as handsome with short hair," Kimberly wondered as she watched the lady cut the first lock of Tommy's hair. "So much has changed in the last three year."

She thought about the first time the first time the original five became rangers. And then the day when she first met Tommy. It was still hard to even imagine that someone as sweet as him could be the evil green ranger. But, then they broke Rita's spell and he joined their team. She still hated that Tommy lost his green ranger powers because he was using them for good. However, if he hadn't have lost them, he would not have became the white ranger. That was the time they started daring. And then Rocky, Adam, and Aisha joined the team.

Kimberly looked up as she saw half of Tommy's locks laying on the floor. SNIP! Another strand of hair fell to the ground. "He has really changed my life," Kimberly thought.

Just within the last year, a lot of major changes happened for her. Tommy saved her when Zedd was draining her life force. He saved her from Coach Schmidt. He saved her from having to go to Paris. They got married and the last several weeks went by quicker than they normally did. Maybe it was because she finally had someone who loved her and thought of her before themself.

Kimberly watched as a the final lock was cut as Tommy finally had short hair. The hair dresser squirted hair gel in his hair and started to spike it. Even though she would miss his long locks, he was still as handsome as ever. A tear ran down her face as she thought about her mom cutting her out of her life, leaving Angel Grove and all her friends behind, and starting college early.

"Beautiful, how do I look?" Tommy asked when he got out of the chair and walked over to her.

"You look prefect and cute," Kimberly blushed as she took hold of his hand.

Author's note:

I know Billy graduated a year early in Zeo. But, I wanted to do something different. I always thought Billy wanted to go through his senior year. One thing I always suspected about Kimberly was that she would rather be at school with Tommy than at home because of her parents divorce and her mother's relationships not working out. I thought having her and Tommy graduate early would be prefect to get them starting to prepare to get things ready for their new team of rangers.
