A somewhat older Naofumi is summoned by Melromarc to fight the Waves of Catastrophe and struggles against the machinations of politics, religion and the soiled reputation he has thanks to Malty. Major canon divergences due to Naofumi being older, wiser and more experienced having left home, graduated college and becoming a salaryman and even having had a relationship before.
