This chapter will pick up where the previous one left off and will have our heroes continuing their battle against the villains that have attacked them during their rescue training. "You fucking brats!" Izuku and Tsuyu rushed to the side of the boat when they heard a furious shout come from the water. Leaning over the railing, they were surprised to see the shark-like villain from earlier had resurfaced. "Where's that frog bitch!? I'll bite her damn face off!"
"This...really isn't good, ribbit." Tsuyu said as she spotted several more aquatic villains that had now surrounded the model boat and trapped them. "There's a whole school of them."
"So, these villains really have figured out a way to kill All Might...probably...that must be it...this attack doesn't make sense otherwise..." Izuku began to mutter incoherently, stepping away from the railing and stroking his chin. "But why kill him? Because he stands up against villains? Because wants to stop evil? Because he's called the Symbol of Justice?"
As Izuku's mind raced, he began to remember the years he had spent with All Might. The good times. The bad times. The laughter and the tears. In particular, he remembered the first day he had met All Might, the day All Might picked him to be his successor. The day that changed Izuku's life forever, and sent him down the path to becoming a hero. Just the thought of losing All Might, his mentor and father figure, before he could see him become a great hero worthy of being his successor, filled Izuku with intense dread and anger.
"No...it doesn't matter what the reason is...these bastards are here to hurt All Might and I can't let that happen!" Izuku thought as he grit his teeth and tightly balled his fists. "I will stop these villains! There's no way I'll let All Might die!"
"Izuku-chan?" Tsuyu asked in a somewhat worried tone, cocking her head slightly. Izuku had been silent for a few minutes and she was afraid that the pressure of the situation had gotten to him. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Tsuyu. But if there's even a small chance that these villains have a way to take down All Might, then we have to start fighting back!" Izuku exclaimed in a determined tone as a large amount of green electricity began to spark off his body, his veins glowing and pulsing with One for All's power. Stepping forward, Izuku glared at the villains in the water that had surrounded their boat. Stepping up onto the railing, Izuku glanced back at Tsuyu and Mineta. "You saved me earlier, Tsuyu, so I'll return the favor!" Leaping high into the air, Izuku made a flicking gesture with his hand and aimed at a cluster of villains. Feeling a rush of nervous excitement, Izuku felt a smirk spread across his face. "Tsuyu, grab ahold of Mineta with your tongue! That boat is about to start rocking!"
Using 10% of One for All's power, Izuku unleashed a barrage of blasts of wind pressure. Any villains that weren't hit directly by the shockwaves of wind, were swept away by the massive waves stirred up by Izuku's repeated attacks. The villains began to scream and panic as they were scattered around the pool. Back on the model boat, Mineta was hollering like a frightened child as the vessel shook around violently, being bombarded by crashing waves. With a splash, Izuku landed in the water, taking a large breath of air as he surfaced.
"Good...that caught them off guard and separated them...looks like a few were even taken out already." Izuku thought as he scanned his surroundings, taking note of the remaining villains. Several of the villains were floating, unmoving on the surface, knocked out by a direct hit from Izuku's attacks. The rest were dazed and confused, trying to recompose themselves. With One for All's power still coursing through his veins, Izuku took a deep breath and dove underneath the water, swimming toward the closest villain. "Time to take the rest of these guys out."
"What the fuck was that!? That kid's quirk is fucking nuts!" One of the villains exclaimed, shaking his head as he tried to regain his composure. "Where'd that little shit-"
The villain was cut off mid-sentence as he was suddenly yanked underwater. Shocked by the sudden motion, the villain's eyes widened in surprise when he saw that it was Izuku who had pulled him under the water. Before the villain could even react, Izuku's fist rocketed forward. Despite only using 7% of One for All's power, and the water slightly hindering his movements, Izuku's attack was still devastating and sent the villain coursing through the water. With a dull thud, the villain slammed into the pool's wall before floating to the surface, knocked unconscious.
Using One for All to enhance and strengthen his body, Izuku sped through the water at incredible speeds. One by one, the villains yelped in surprise as they were pulled underwater, each of them resurfacing unconscious. Eventually, there was only one villain left, all of his comrades lazily floating around him, not moving. Shaking in fear, the villain's head darted around, frantically searching for any signs of Izuku, even ducking his head underwater several times. After spotting nothing for nearly a minute, the villain turn and began to swim out of the pool.
"Screw this shit!" The villain exclaimed as he neared the edge of the pool. "I didn't sign up for-"
Just as the villain was pulling himself out of the pool, Izuku sprang up out of the water. With One for All's power flowing off his body, Izuku dropped his shoulder and rammed the villain into the pool's wall. Grunting in pain, all the air was knocked from the villain's lungs as he slammed into the wall, causing it to crack and crumble. Once the villain was down for the count, Izuku took a moment to catch his breath and scan his surroundings. Seeing that all of the villains seemed to be unconscious, Izuku made his way back toward the boat and lept back onto the deck. With a thud, a thoroughly soaked Izuku landed next to Tsuyu and Mineta.
"Holy crap, Izuku..." Mineta breathed out, gazing over the model boat's railing as he spotted several knocked-out villains aimlessly floating below. "You took them all out like they were nothing."
"It wasn't that hard, those guys were all lightweights..." Izuku said with a nervous smile as he rubbed the back of his head and his face flushed a light shade of red. "It was harder holding back enough to make sure I didn't really hurt any of them. With my quirk, if I don't regulate my power properly, I could easily kill someone."
"It was still impressive, Izuku-chan..." Tsuyu said, cocking her head slightly as she stared unblinkingly at Izuku. "But with those villains taken care of, we should get out of here soon in case more show up."
"Right, we need to figure out what's going on and help the others." Izuku said as he wrapped an arm around Tsuyu's waist, causing the faintest blush to spread across her face, which fortunately for her wasn't noticed by the green-haired hero-in-training. Mineta clung to Tsuyu, wrapping himself around her leg. Using a small amount of One for All's power, Izuku briefly crouched down before leaping off the boat. In a single bound, Izuku cleared the entire pool and landed back on solid ground, setting Tsuyu and Mineta down. "Alright guys, nice job. We handled the situation pretty well."
"You mean, YOU handed that situation pretty well, Izuku-chan, ribbit. Mineta and I weren't really any help..." Tsuyu said, swatting away Mineta's hand which had been sneakily moving toward her breasts. "Mineta, if you try to grope me one more time, I'm throwing you back into the pool."
"S-Sorry heh heh..." Mineta muttered as he chuckled nervously, shrinking away from Tsuyu's unblinking gaze. "I...I just can't help myself sometimes..."
"So, what's our next move?" Tsuyua asked, turning back to face Izuku. "We can't just stand around and do nothing."
"Right...for now, calling the other pro heroes for help is our top priority." Izuku said as he stroked his chin, his brow furrowing slightly. "We should probably follow the outer wall and try to find an exit, avoiding the main plaza altogether."
"Sounds like a plan..." Tsuyu said, gazing toward the central plaza as she spotted Eraserhead fighting against a large number of villains. "Looks like Aizawa-sensei is drawing a lot of the villains to him."
"..." Izuku said nothing for several moments as he watched Aizawa continue to fight off the villains, his movements seeming to be slightly labored and sluggish. "There's just too damn many of them...Aizawa-sensei still seems to be holding his own, but...it's too much for even a pro-hero like him. But he knew that, and jumped in to protect us anyway."
"H-Huh..." Mineta said, whipping around to face Izuku as he began to tremble slightly. "I know you're strong Izuku, but please don't tell me you're THAT stupid..."
"No, I'm not suggesting we jump right in and fight...we'd probably end up just getting in Aizawa-sensei's way anyways." Izuku said as he released a light sigh, his brow furrowing as his mind raced. "But we should still look for an opening and try to make things easier for sensei." Hearing panicked shouts coming from a nearby rescue zone, Izuku tightly balled his fists, unable to just sit idly by. "Tsuyu, I'm gonna go check that out. You stay here with Mineta, I'll be back as soon as possible."
"Sure thing, ribbit..." Tsuyu said, before looking over at Mineta with her large, unblinking eyes, which caused him to chuckle nervously. "But he better not try to lay his grubby little hands on me, ribbit."
"O-Of course not!" Mineta exclaimed as he quickly clasped his hands behind his back. "I'd never even think about doing anything like that!"
"Okay, I'll be back guys..." Izuku said, green electricity crackling off his body as One for All's power coursed through his glowing veins. Sending out a small shockwave, Izuku lept toward the sounds of screaming. "Ochaco, Momo, Kyoka...I hope you're all still safe."
(Same Time: Landslide Zone)
"Divide and conquer, huh?" Todoroki muttered as he let out a long exhale, his breath visible in the chilled air. In front of Todoroki, the entire area was completely frozen, with almost a dozen villains completely encased in ice. "It's probably rude for me to say this, but it's hard to see you guys as anything more than thugs with quirks you can't even use properly."
"Y-You bastard!" One of the villains who was only partially frozen managed to say, his teeth chattering and body shivering wildly. "As soon as he warped here...he took us all out...is he really a student?" The villain's eyes widened in fear as he watched Todoroki approach him. "W-Wait! Wait! You don't have-"
"Shut your mouth for a minute." Todoroki said as he gripped the villain's chest, slowly starting to freeze the rest of his body. "So, these guys want to kill All Might...they seemed dangerous at first. They'd use their numbers to overwhelm him. But...after fighting these lowlifes, they're here to keep the students busy...they're nothing but cannon fodder. As far as I've been able to tell, there are only about four or five individuals that are actually dangerous." Letting out a light sigh, Todoroki stopped freezing the villain, ice stopping just at his throat, and sat down in front of him. "Pretty soon your skin will start to decay from frostbite. But I'm trying to become a hero, and heroes don't do terrible things like that. So, what makes you guys think you can kill All Might? Start talking fast, you don't have much time before you start losing fingers and toes."
(Same Time: Mountain Zone)
"Holy shit!" Denki exclaimed, ducking underneath a powerful punch from a towering villain, barely managing to avoid it. Scrambling forward, Denki quickly joined Kyoka and Momo, his only allies, as they were surrounded by a large group of villains. "God damn! My whole life just flashed before my eyes! Who the hell are these guys!? What are they doing here!?"
"Tch, we can worry about that later." Kyoka said as she took several steps backward, her back soon pressing up against Momo's. "We need to figure out how to get away from these guys!" Whipping around, Kyoka turned to face Denki. "Oi! Your quirk is shooting lightning, right!? Can't you just fry these assholes to a crisp!?"
"Weren't you paying attention during our battle training!? You were my damn partner!" Denki shouted, before leaping over another villain's attack. "I can only cover myself in electricity! Sure, I can discharge it, but I have pretty much no control! You both would be caught in the crossfire!" Reaching up, Denki tapped the device on his ear. "I'm trying to call for help, but my transceiver is being jammed! Do you get that!? You can't rely on me here! I'm relying on you guys!"
"You can rely on me instead!" The three U.A. students were shocked to hear a new, familiar voice call out from overhead. Looking up, they were all surprised to see Izuku launching toward him, green electricity coursing off his body. "SMASH!"
With One for All's power flowing through his glowing veins, Izuku slammed his fist into the ground, sending several of the villains flying backward. Before the dust even began to settle, Izuku pounced on the nearest villain, hitting him with a 5% power punch. The villain was knocked unconscious, his body motionless on the ground. Kyoka, Momo, and Denki watched as Izuku sprang toward two more villains, immediately taking them both out with devastating attacks. However, Kyoka's eyes widened in surprise when she spotted another villain with a knife in his hand creeping up behind Izuku. Reacting quickly, Kyoka plugged her earphone jack into special speakers that were in the boots of her costume, sending out a deafening shockwave that stunned the villain.
"That's for the assist, Kyoka!" Izuka exclaimed with a grin, giving Kyoka a quick thumbs-up before he hit the stunned villain with a spinning kick, sending him flying back. Ducking underneath a wild punch from one of the large villains, Izuku hit him with a powerful uppercut, lifting the criminal off his feet. Quickly whipping around, Izuku groaned when he spotted several more villains charging toward him. "Damn, these guys are endless."
"Come on, we have to help Izuku!" Momo exclaimed as her stomach began to glow, a metallic bō staff materializing in her grasp. After quickly spinning the staff, Momo bashed one of the villains in the head with it. "How dare you attack us during our training exercise!"
"I've got your back Momo!" Kyoka yelled, unleashing another sonic blast and stunning a group of villains that were going after her friend. Rushing forward, Kyoka grabbed one of the villain's heads and kneed him in the face, sending him falling backward. Before focusing on the next villain, Kyoka saw that Denki was just standing around and doing nothing. "OI! Lightning boy! Help too, damn it!"
"Y-Yeah!" Denki nervously shouted as he rushed toward the closest villain, electricity crackling off his hands. Reaching out, Denki pressed his palms against the villain's chest, zapping him with a massive amount of electricity. The villain roared in pain and convulsed violently as electricity flowed through his body. After a few more moments, the electricity died down and the villain collapsed to the ground, his body smoking slightly. Wiping some sweat off his brow, a cocky smirk spread across Denki's face as he rested his hands on his hips. "Can't let the girls show me up."
"Pay attention!" Izuku exclaimed, dashing passed Denki in a green blur and tackling a villain that was charging toward him. Straddling the villain's waist, Izuku cocked his fist back and hit him in the face with a devastating punch. Quickly getting up, Izuku whipped around to face Denki. "There are still villains left, stay focused!"
"I can do that! I'll show you guys how strong I really am!" Kaminari yelled as he tightly balled his fists and hunched over slightly. Izuku's eyes widened, watching as a massive amount of electricity began to crackle off Denki's body. Knowing what was likely about to happen, Izuku quickly scanned around and spotted Kyoka and Momo, both girls still fighting off other villains. "You guys should probably get to cover!"
"Damn it, gotta move fast!" Izuku thought, cranking up One for All's power to 20%. Denting the ground as he took off, Izuku launched forward at a blistering speed and scooped up Kyoka and Momo, surprising both the girls and the villains they had been fighting. Before Momo and Kyoka could even question what was happening, Izuku hid the three of them behind a large boulder. Moments later, the deafening bang of a thunderclap echoed out and the entire lit up as Denki unleashed a massive amount of electricity. After a few moments, the light eventually died and the sound of buzzing electricity faded. Poking his head out, Izuku was surprised to see almost a dozen villains fried on the ground. "Holy crap...nice job, Denki."
"A little warning would have been nice!" Kyoka exclaimed in an exasperated tone as she walked out from behind the rock and approached Denki. However, she was surprised to see Denki mumbling incoherently and aggressively rocking his arms back and forth, giving a thumbs up. He also had a dopy look on his face as drool dripped from his mouth. "Oh geez...you okay man?"
"Did all that electricity temporarily fry his brain?" Momo suggested, stroking her chin as she examined Denki. "Well, let's just hope he's better soon. We need to regroup with everyone else."
"Yeah, and thanks for the assist, Izuku." Kyoka said with a small smile as she playfully punched Izuku's arm. "Where'd you come from anyway?"
"I was Tsuyu and Mineta when I heard some yelling in this direction, so I came by to help out. But I should be getting back to them." Izuku said, green electricity starting to crackle off his body. "Momo's got the right idea. Once Denki is good to go, try to regroup with everyone else."
"Don't worry, Izuku, we'll keep an eye on him." Momo said as she brushed a few locks of black hair out of her eyes. With a smile and quick nod, Izuku took off back toward where he had left Tsuyu and Mineta. "Stay safe, Izuku!"
"It's crazy..." Kyoka said with a chuckle, watching as Izuku disappeared out of sight. "He always manages to show up whenever we need him."
"He really does." Momo said as a faint blush spread across her face. However, she quickly remembered the situation they were in and regained her composure. "Come on, Kyoka, we should make sure there aren't any more villains hiding around here."
(Same Time: Central Plaza)
"Twenty-three seconds..." The villain's leader said in a raspy voice, charging toward Eraserhead. "Twenty-four seconds..."
"I'm guessing you're the boss." Aizawa said as he unleashed some of his binding bandages, hoping to subdue the villain's leader. "Just stop this nonsense and surrender already!"
"Twenty seconds..." The villain's leader said, ignoring Eraserhead's request and showcasing impressive reflexes by grabbing Aizawa's binding bandages. Growling in frustration, Aizawa rushed past several other villains directly toward their leader. "Seventeen seconds..."
"Shut your damn mouth already!" Aizawa thought as he slammed his elbow directly into the leader's stomach. However, Aizawa was surprised when the villain barely seemed to register his attack. "What the hell is up with this guy?"
"It took me a while to notice because you were scurrying around so much...but there are moments when your hair falls down in front of your eyes..." The villain's leader said in a menacing tone, reaching up and gripping Aizawa's elbow. Eraserhead winced in pain as the skin on his elbow began to crack and decay, almost seeming to crumble to dust. "Every time you finish one of your moves...and your max duration is getting shorter and shorter...don't get ahead of yourself, Eraserhead."
"Tch, piss off!" Aizawa exclaimed as he hit the villain's leader in the face with a swift punch, knocking the leader down and managing to free himself. Hissing in pain, Eraserhead quickly lept back, trying to put some distance between himself and the villain's leader. As he moved away, Aizawa avoid attacks from two more villains before quickly taking them out. "What the hell is that guy's quirk!? My elbow was disintegrating back there!"
"It seems...like your quirk isn't suited for long, group battles...am I right, Eraserhead?" The villain's leader said, getting back onto his feet and rubbing his jaw. "This must be quite different from your usual work. You're more used to rapid, sneak attacks. But you jumped straight into the fire this time. Were you trying to make your students feel safe?" The villain's leader watched as Eraserhead started to get overwhelmed, his moves slowing and his attacks becoming weaker. However, the real threat wasn't the fodder villains coming at him, it was the massive, monstrous creature lumbering toward him. "That's so cool of you, I have to admire that. But you've got one thing wrong hero..." Aizawa's body tensed when he saw a huge shadow wash over him. Slowly turning around, he gasped when he saw the villain's horrifying creature towering over him. "I'm not the boss here."
Back above the central plaza, the rest of class 1-A, that hadn't been separated, and Thirteen were still contending with the wisp-like villain. After a good chunk of the class had been teleported away, the rest of 1-A was caught off guard and unsure what to do next. Thirteen did their best to keep the villain at bay, but with Eraserhead busy with the other villains, they were on their own.
"Thirteen...if I remember correctly...you're a hero specializing in disaster relief." The wispy villain said as his body began to swirl and expand. "And you can't measure up to even the most basic heroes when it comes to a fight." Thirteen was so focused on the villain in front of them, that they didn't notice the swirling, black portal open up behind them as their position seemed to change, which was actually the hero's own black hole. The students of 1-A tried to warn Thirteen, but their shouts were too late. In the blink of an eye, the entire back portion of Thirteen's costume had been torn away and sucked into the black hole. "And now you find yourself torn apart by your own quirk."
"He warped me..." Thirteen thought as immense pain racked their body, falling onto their knees. "I'm done for..."
"Ida!" Ochaco exclaimed, snapping the class representative out of his stunned stupor. "You're the fastest one here! You need to run and get help! Don't even think, just go!"
"Damn it!" Tenya cursed before he took off running at an incredible speed toward the closest exit. "She's right! We need to alert the other pro heroes and get more backup!"
"My dear lost children...resistance is futile..." The wisp-like villain said as his body began to swirl and dissipate once again. "We merely need to stall until All Might appears, but we can't any more heroes interfering." Suddenly, the villain materialized in front of Ida, aiming to transport him somewhere he couldn't cause any problems. "It would be quite bothersome if more of your teachers showed up."
"Shit...everyone is counting on me..." Tenya thought, rapidly approaching the swirling portal, but because of his blazing speed couldn't veer out of the way in time. "The whole class! It's up to me! I can't get caught here!"
"Don't stop, Ida!" Shoji exclaimed as he grabbed the wispy villain and encased him in his web-like arms. "Move quickly!"
"Damn!" Ida grunted, dashing past Shoji and the villain, putting a large distance between them in mere seconds. "Everyone, just hold on a bit longer!"
(Same Time: With Bakugo)
"Tch, I think that's finally all of them..." Bakugo said as he panted lightly, smoke bellowing off his hands. Kirishima stood next to Bakugo, with both heroes-in-training surrounded by several unconscious villains. "Bunch of degenerate assholes..."
"Nice job! Now we should hurry and help the others!" Kirishima said, letting out a long exhale and wiping some sweat off his brow. "If we're still here, then everyone else is still probably in the facility. I'm worried about our classmates who don't really have strong combat abilities. Not to mention, Thirteen-sensei probably has their hands full because we rushed ahead like that. None of this would have happened if we had just let them suck in that misty bastard. As men, we have to take responsibility..."
"If that's what you want, go right ahead..." Bakugo said as he glared at Kirishima, his red eyes narrowing dangerously. "I'm gonna blow that guy who warped us away to pieces."
"Even at a time like this, you're still gonna pull that immature BS..." Kirishima said, clicking his tongue as he rubbed the back of his head. "Besides, you saw when Izuku attacked that guy, normal attacks don't work on him."
"Shut the hell up!" Bakugo growled as he angrily crossed his arms over his chest. "He's how those bastards infiltrated this place! If we take him down, they'll have nowhere to run! And it's not like I don't have a way to beat him!"
"Yes, you idiots! Keep talking and let your guard down!" A villain who had managed to remain hidden thought, charging toward Bakugo with a knife drawn. "I'll gut you-"
"I mean..." Bakugo thought as he suddenly grabbed the back of the villain's head and slammed him into the ground, before blasting him with an explosion. "If all they're sending against us are these weak idiots...we should be fine."
"Wow, you got real calm all of a sudden." Kirishima pointed out with a small smile, giving Bakugo a thumbs up. "Nice reflexes too!"
"I'm always calm, you damn spiky-haired bastard!" Bakugo yelled in a pissed-off tone as he flipped Kirishima off. "And I don't need your praise!"
"Ah, and we're right back where we started..." Kirishima said with a chuckle, shaking his head. "Don't you ever get tired of constantly yelling?"
"Whatever, I'm outta here..." Bakguo scoffed as he adjusted his grenade gauntlet and stood back up. "Stay or come with me, I don't care."
"Hold up! You've gotta learn to trust your friends!" Kirishima said with a smirk, punching his hardened fists together. "Be a man, Bakguo! You've convinced me! I'll help you out!"
(Back with Ida)
"Gotta keep going!" Ida exclaimed through grit teeth as he spotted one of the training facility's exits. "Almost there!"
"How naive!" The wisp-like villain called out, rapidly flying toward Ida and quickly closing the distance between them. "I won't allow you to escape!"
"I've got help!" Ochaco thought as she sprinted toward the misty villain. "Tenya is so close! We can't let this opportunity slip away!"
"Ochaco!" Mina yelled, continuing to tend to Thirteen as she watched her friend run off toward danger. "What are you thinking!?"
"There!" Ochaco exclaimed as she pointed toward what appeared to be a metal collar with the wisp-like villain's body. "See it!?"
"The automatic doors..." Ida thought, his mind racing as he rapidly approached the large set of steel doors in front of him. "Would I be able to kick through them!? Or are they too thick for that?!"
"You underestimated me, runt!" The wispy villain said as he rushed in front of Ida, blocking his path. "Now disappear!"
"I don't know why you're wearing this thing...but it must mean you have a real body in there!" Ochaco exclaimed, lunging forward and pressing her fingers against the wispy villain's collar as she activated her quirk. Within seconds, the wisp-like villain began to float up into the air away from Ida. "Now move it, Tenya!"
"Son of a bitch!" The wispy villain thought as he tried to turn around and rapidly descend toward Ida. "She managed to get my body! I need to-"
"Go! Do it, Ida!" Sero exclaimed, firing out a line of tape and latching it onto the wisp-like villain's metallic collar. Grunting with exertion, Sero held the villain back from attacking Ida. "Get out of here man!"
"Thank you, Sero, Ochaco!" Tenya thought as he forcefully opened the metallic door, managing to open a gap wide enough for him to slip through. Once he was free, Tenya began to sprint away from the training facility. "I won't let you guys down!"
"Damn it..." The wispy villain cursed, breaking free from Sero's tape and starting to fade away. "If he manages to call for help...it's game over for us."
(Back with Izuku)
"Tsuyu, Mineta, I'm back..." Izuku called out as he landed next to his classmates, green electricity dissipating off his body. "What did I miss?"
"..." Tsuyu said nothing, instead simply pointing toward the central plaza. Quirking an eyebrow, Izuku's gaze followed toward where Tsuyu was pointing. What Izuku saw caused him to gasp, a chill running down his spine. "Things aren't looking good, Izuku."
"Meet the anti-Symbol of Peace..." The villain's leader proclaimed as his monstrous ally pinned Eraserhead's bloodied and broken body to the ground. The beast let out a triumphant roar as it effortlessly broke Aizawa's arm. "The bio-engineered, Nomu!" Slowly, the villain's leader began to walk toward Aizawa. "Canceling out quirks...that's pretty neat...but not that special. When you're up against overwhelming strength, you're basically quirkless."
"..." Aizawa simply grit his teeth, trying to bear the pain and move his arm. However, his attempt to break free was in vain as the Nomu immediately grabbed his other arm, breaking it like a twig. "He snapped my arm like it was nothing! Looking at any part of his body should be enough to nullify him...that means...this is how strong he is naturally! He's easily on par with All-!"
Aizawa was pulled from his thoughts when the Nomu roughly grabbed the back of his head, before slamming it into the ground. Izuku, Tsuyu, and Mineta watched in horror as the Nomu brutalized their teacher. They couldn't believe that a pro hero like Eraserhead was being beaten so easily.
"Izuku...this is really bad..." Mineta said as his entire body began trembling, tears forming in his eyes. "I think we need to change our plan."
"Tomura Shigaraki..." The wisp-like villain's voice echoed out as he materialized next to the villain's leader. "I have returned..."
"Kurogiri..." Shigaraki said, glancing over his shoulder as the wispy villain began to return to its normal form. "Is Thirteen dead?"
"No...but they won't be a problem..." Kurogiri replied as he finished returning to his normal, human-like form. "There were some students I couldn't warp away...and one of them managed to escape."
"Oh? Huh...hmmmm...huuuuuh..." Shigaraki muttered, before releasing a heavy sigh and aggressively scratching at his neck. "Kurogiri...you...I'd turn you to dust if you weren't our ticket out of here..." Having broken the skin, Shigaraki suddenly stopped scratching his neck, a thin trail of blood visible. "We won't stand a chance against even more pro heroes. It's game over for us man...it's game over...for now at least." Releasing another sigh, Shigaraki hung his head slightly. "We're leaving."
"L-Leaving..." Mineta parroted as he rapidly looked between Tsuyu and Izuku. "Did he just say that they're leaving!?"
"I think so, ribbit..." Tsuyu replied, cocking her head slightly and pressing a finger to her chin. "But why are they giving up so easily?"
"Who cares!" Mineta shouted as he lunged forward and embraced Tsuyu, tears of relief streaming down his cheeks. "We're saved! That's all that matters!"
"Yeah, but-" Tsuyu stopped mid-sentence when she felt one of Mineta's hands sneakily grope her breast. With her entire body tensing up, Tsuyu looked down at Mineta, an oddly menacing look in her large, unblinking eyes. Mineta yelped in fear and quickly pulled his hand away, but the damage had already been dealt. "I told you what would happen if you groped me again." Before he could even complain, Tsuyu picked Mineta up with her tongue and hurled him back into the pool they had previously been stranded in. Satisfied that Mineta was, at least temporarily, out of their hair, Tsuyu turned to face Izuku. "I've got a bad feeling about this, Izuku-chan."
"Yeah, it doesn't make any sense..." Izuku said, feeling a nervous chill run down his spine as he began to fear the worst. "To go through all this trouble...then just leave on a whim..." Izuku's mind began to race as he tightly balled his fists. "I thought they were here to kill All Might. U.A. University is just gonna be in more danger if these guys get away now. What are they thinking!?"
"Ah...but before we leave..." Shigaraki said as he stopped in his tracks, raising a finger into the air. "Why don't we leave a few dead kids..."
In the blink of an eye, Shigaraki turned around to face Izuku, Tsuyu, and Mineta, a terrifying look in his eyes. Then, using Kurogiri to teleport, Shigarki was instantly in front of Tsuyu, reaching out to grab her face. Having witnessed what Shigaraki's quirk did to Aizawa's arm, Izuku knew that if he grabbed Tsuyu it would be deadly. Without a moment's hesitation, Izuku activated One for All, and quickly pushed Tsuyu out of harm's way. Izuku felt his life flash before his eyes as Shigaraki's hand was less than an inch away from his face and he braced himself for the worst. However, as Izuku felt Shigaraki's fingers press against his head, he was surprised when nothing seemed to happen.
"..." Shigaraki said nothing for a few moments, before releasing a light sigh. "I was serious before...you really are cool...Eraserhead."
"W-What..." Izuku thought as he took a shaky breath, looking past Shigaraki and spotting Aizawa, who was still within the Nomu's grasp. Eraserhead had managed to find an opening and had activated his quirk, neutralizing Shigaraki's own quirk and sparing Izuku's life. Izuku watched in horror as the Nomu slammed Aizawa's face into the ground once again. Knowing he had to do something, Izuku took advantage of Shigaraki being momentarily distracted and sprang into action. With green electricity sparking off his body and One for All coursing through his veins, Izuku lept toward Shigaraki. "This guy's different from the other fodder villains! Tsuyu! Mineta! Run away! Save yourselves!"
"Oho, look at this brave little hero..." Shigaraki muttered, turning back around and seeing Izuku flying toward him. "Nomu..."
Just as Izuku's fist was about to connect with Shigaraki's face, a towering figure blocked his path. With a thunderous bang, Izuku's attack slammed into what felt like a wall of rubber, seemingly absorbing all the force of the impact. Izuku knew that he definitely didn't hit Shigaraki, looking up, his eyes widened in shock when he saw the Nomu's menacing, monstrous face staring back at him. Looking into the disgusting creature's dead eyes, Izuku felt a chill run through his body.
"Holy hell...when did this thing get in front of me?" Izuku thought as he stared when his Smash hit, noticing that it didn't even appear to leave a mark on Nomu's skin. "I know I wasn't using full power...but it doesn't look like my Smash worked at all. What the hell is this thing!? Is this how they intend to kill All Might!?"
"That move you just pull off...quite flashy...reminds me a lot of All Might. You a fan of his?" Shigaraki asked, cocking his head slightly as he stared intently at Izuku, almost seeming to analyze. However, after a few moments, Shigaraki sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "Well...whatever. Tear him to pieces, Nomu."
"Oh shit!" Izuku thought as he instantly cranked up One for All's power, preparing to attack Nomu again. However, before he could move, Nomu lashed out and grabbed his arm. "No! No! No! I need to do something, fast!"
"I need to help, Izuku-chan!" Tsuyu thought, flicking out her tongue in an attempt to try and pull Izuku away from the Nomu. "He's always saving me! It's time I saved him!"
But, before the situation could escalate any further, the doors to the training facility suddenly exploded open. A large amount of dust and debris was kicked up as two figures appeared to enter the building. When the smoke finally began to dissipate, the students of Class 1-A all breathed a sigh of relief when they spotted that their saviors had arrived. All Might and Mirko had finally made their entrance.
"Fear not." All Might thunderous voice called out, lacking his usual jovial tone, instead replaced entirely with rage. The Symbol of Peace's face was twisted in anger as he stood atop of entrance of the training facility, seeing all the destruction and danger his students had endured. "I...am here."
"Alright..." Mirko said in a tone dripping with fury as she balled her fists hard enough to cause her veins to bulge, her eyes narrowing dangerously. "Who had the balls to fuck with MY students!?"
"All Might...Rumi..." Izuku thought, feeling tears sting his eyes as he felt an overwhelming sense of relief. "You're finally here!"
"Ah...now isn't this interesting..." Shigaraki said as he stared at newly arrived pro heroes. "Things just got a whole lot more exciting."
And done! I know this was a slightly shorter chapter, but I felt that this was the perfect stopping point, especially since it was the end of Volume 2 of the manga. The next chapter will be the big fight between All Might and Nomu, with Mirko now thrown into the mix. In the next chapter, I'll also try to have Izuku's date with Momo and possibly even their lemon scene. So, I hope you're all looking forward to that!
