"Wake up, Bitches!" Quinn yells as she yanks Brittany's blanket off of Santana and Brittany making them fall off the couch into a crumpled heap on the dorm lobby floor.
"¡Joder!" (Fuck!)
"Godverdomme!" (God damn it!)
Quinn just cackles at the two girls and they try to figure out what the hell just happened and de-tangle themselves. "It's 2 in the afternoon and I'm hungry." She scoffs with a huge eye roll. "I have been looking all over for you two and here you are curled up like a pair of kittens snoozing the day away." Quinn says trying sound annoyed and to not show how adorable she thinks Santana and Brittany were and ignores the grumbles coming from them now. "Come on. Get your asses up." She says, nudging them with her foot.
"God, I hate you so much, Fabray." Santana growls as she helps Brittany get up.
"I'm not liking you so much right now, either." Groans Brittany as she trying to work out the kinks from sleeping in such an awkward position.
Quinn ignores their sentiments and shoves them down the hall. "Sofie called me trying to find you, San. She's coming to pick us up in fifteen minutes."
Santana and Brittany trudge up the stairs with Quinn nudging them along. "Ugg. Ok. Ok. We're going." Santana groans.
Brittany stops at her door and just stares at it for a moment, clearly still not all the way awake. Quinn takes her key and opens the door for her and tells her, "Take your pill and get ready, ok?"
"M'kay." Brittany nods, looking around her room thankful that Rachel isn't there. She isn't awake enough for her enthusiasm.
"I'll come get you - " Santana yawns, "- in a few minutes, Britt-Britt." And Quinn drags her to their room so she can get dress, also.
Quinn goes straight to Santana's desk and gets her pill and hands it to Santana with a bottle of water which she takes immediately. Santana then pulls out an baggy cropped cut off black Indigo Girls T-shirt and black Versace shorts and throws them on with her black Converse sneakers. She runs a brush through her hair and quickly does her make up, keeping it light.
"Have you seen my phone anywhere?" She asks Quinn who is sitting at her desk at her computer.
"It's on your bed where you left it when you went to make out with Brittany in the middle of the night." Quinn teases.
"We were not making out! We are just friends!" Santana protests crossing her arms over her chest and then sighs, "We couldn't sleep so we watched TV and talked until we fell asleep around dawn. I just - I really like talking with her. I don't know, she just gets it," She says tapping her forehead indicating her ever noisy brain. "and I don't have to try to explain it." Santana shrugs.
"I'm glad she gets it because I sure don't no matter how much I've tried." Quinn chuckles grabbing her purse and phone. "Ready?"
Santana's phone beeps with a text from Sofie saying that she was here. "Yeah, Sof just got here. I'm going to run get Britt." She says as she shoves her wallet in her back pocket and goes to Brittany's room.
Santana knocks on Brittany's door and sings, "Britttaaannnyyy, are you readdddyyyyy?"
The door opens a second later and Brittany laughs, "One second, San. Let me put my hair up." And she goes back to her dresser to finish her hair. "Can you grab my phone from my desk?"
"Sure." Santana says and takes the opportunity to admire her outfit, a simple lime green halter romper that she has paired with black Coach slides. When Brittany sweeps her hair up into a messy bun on the top of her head Santana sees that her romper is completely backless and that Brittany has a small tattoo on her right shoulder blade. Wanting to get a closer look, she steps right up behind her and trails her finger along three flying seagull silhouettes. "Beautiful." She whispers.
Brittany turns around and says softly, "They are from my favorite book as a kid. My Aunt Grace had left her favorite book, Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach, at my Nonny's and Pappy's house and I would read it every time I visited. Jonathan is a seagull who doesn't think the same way as the rest of his flock." She says fondly, "It's funny, I actually understand Jonathan more now than when I was a kid or even when I got the tattoo at 16." She shrugs with a small smile.
"I think would like Jonathan." Santana says handing Brittany her phone.
"I think so, too. It's a short novel, also. Perfect for my attention span." Brittany laughs. "Lots of beautiful pictures of seagulls. When I go home next, I'll grab it so you can borrow it." She says with a huge smile that lights up her whole face. "Let's go. I want to meet this sister of yours." Then she loops her arm with Santana's and they head down the hallway down the back stairs.
As soon as Santana opens the back door she is pulled into a tight hug. "¡Aye Dios mío! Sofie! ¡Demasiado apretado! ¡No puedo respirar!" (Oh my God! Sofie! Too tight! I can't breathe!)
Sofie laughs as she lets Santana go. "Te acabo de echar de menos, hermanita." (I just missed you, little sister.)
"Acabo de verte hace cuatro días, perdedor, y me verás más a menudo ahora que los dos estamos aquí." (I just saw you four days ago, loser, and you'll see me more often now that we're both here.) Santana says giving her slightly taller sister a gentle shove. You could easily tell that the two girls are sisters as they have the same eyes and dimples even though Sofia has dark auburn hair.
Sofie spots Brittany standing off to the side with Quinn. "¿Es de esto de lo que estabas hablando, San? ¡Dios, ella tan caliente!" (Is this who you were talking about, San? God, she's so hot!)
"Soapie, esta es mi nueva amiga Brittany." (Soapie, this is my new friend, Brittany.) Santana introduces her sister to Brittany with a giggle, using her childhood nickname for her. "Britt-Britt, esta es mi hermana idiota, Sofia." (Britt-Britt, this is my idiot sister, Sofia.)
"Encantada de conocerte, Sofie. Apuesto a que vamos a ser las mejores amigas." (Nice to meet you, Sofie. I bet we're going to be the best of friends.) Brittany says to Sofie with a wink, reaching out to shake a blushing Sofie's hand, while Santana is clutching her sides cackling.
"I have no idea what you all just said, but Sof…why are you blushing?" Quinn teases Sofie nudging her shoulder. "I don't think I've ever seen you embarrassed."
"It's cool, Sofie. I know I'm hot." Brittany says confidently as Santana, who is still laughing, takes her wrist and leads her to Sofie's car.
"Oh, I definitely like her already. She's spicy." Sofie whispers to Quinn before they make their way to the car.
oooOOOooo
"My roommates will be back later. They went to Target in Lancaster." Sofie tells the Santana, Quinn and Brittany as they walk into four girls apartment. "Go ahead and make yourself at home." She says and laughs as Santana pushes her way to the kitchen. "Hungry, Teeny?"
"Si. Necesito comida ahora." (Yes, I need food now.) Santana replies as she starts aggressively pulling out sandwich ingredients and slamming them on the counter. "Britt, ¿tú también quieres un sándwich?" (Do you want a sandwich, also?) She calls out to Brittany, not realizing that she has followed her into the kitchen.
Brittany hugs Santana from behind and whispers into her ear, "Si, por favor." (Yes, please.) Sending a wave of chills down Santana's back followed by a wave of calm. Brittany gives her a squeeze and then she joins Sofie and Quinn at the breakfast bar and pulls up a barstool.
Santana gets two paper plates down and puts two slices of bread on each.and softly asks, "What do you want on yours?"
"Just turkey, cheese and mayo is fine, San. Thanks." Brittany grins, gently twisting side to side in the barstool.
"So, Brittany, are there any other languages that you speak that I should know about before I make a fool of myself again?" Sofie inquires making Quinn and Santana chuckle.
"Yep, Dutch and some fun Gaelic curses like San." She nods as Santana slides her plate across the counter to her along with a can of Dr. Pepper.
"Damn! That means I can't cuss you out in Gaelic! Those are some of my favorites!" Sofie exclaims, slamming her palms down on the counter in pretend anger.
Santana whips around the counter and gets in Sofie's face. "Don't you ever cuss Brittany out." Santana growls at her sister, pointing her finger in her face. She turns back and reaches across the counter for her sandwich and calmly takes a seat next to Brittany and turns to her and asks. "Is it ok?"
"Perfect." Brittany smiles softly and takes another bite.
Sofie turns to Quinn with eyes wide and mouths 'what the hell?'.
Quinn just silently chuckles to herself.
'This time, I'm telling you , I'm telling you' Brittany's phone starts ringing. 'We are never, ever, ever, getting back together. We-ee are never, ever - '
"Hi, Sam…" Brittany answers, exasperated. "…Yeah, I'm fine." She replies to him shortly.
Santana, Quinn, and Sofie know that they shouldn't be listening in but they can tell that Brittany isn't exactly thrilled to talk to Sam. Santana quietly finishes her sandwich and Sofie gets a drink for each of them so it doesn't look like they are all just listening in, even though they totally are.
Brittany lets out a big sigh. "Sam, we talked about this already. I still care about you but you are just making this harder on yourself." She pauses to listen, taking the last bite of her sandwich. "No, you need to move on, met new people." She puts elbow on the counter and her head down on her hand.
Santana reaches over and starts rubbing Brittany's back, trying to ease her distress. Santana can hear crying on the other end of the call. Brittany then looks up at Santana and they lock eyes. Santana gives her a nod, silently telling Brittany that she knows what she needs to do.
Brittany, drawing strength from Santana and keeping their eyes locked, interrupts Sam's blubbering attempts to get her back and firmly states, "Sam. I need you to listen very carefully because I'm only going to say this once. We are never, ever, ever getting back together. Stop calling me, texting me, and emailing me. Leave me and my family alone." She ends the call and Santana throws her arms around her shaking friend.
"I'm so proud of you." Santana whispers, "I know that was hard."
"I hate making people sad." Brittany says as she exhales a shaky breath.
All of the sudden 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' starts playing again, but this time from the beginning. Brittany pulls out of their hug and looks at her blank phone screen, confused.
"Dance Party!" Sofie yells, "When you said we needed space!"
"What?" Shouts Santana.
"Then you come around again and say" Quinn sings.
Brittany puts her phone to her ear and says in a lower voice, "Baby, I miss you, and I swear I'm gonna change, trust me." She scoffs and Santana takes her hand and spins her.
They all start belting together and Brittany pulls out her best moves.
"Remember how that lasted for a day?"
"I say, "I hate you", we break up, you call me, "I love you"
"Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh"
"We called it off again last night, but"
"Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh"
"This time, I'm telling you, I'm telling you"
"We are never, ever, ever getting back together"
"We-ee are never, ever, ever getting back together"
"You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me"
"But we-eee are never, ever, ever, ever getting back together"
"Like, ever"
oooOOOooo
Quinn and Sofie collapse on the couch giggling when the song ends.
"Are you ok, Britt-Britt?" Santana asks Brittany, rubbing her arm gently.
"I am. Thanks to you and Sofie," She says with a big smile, "and Taylor, too, I guess." Brittany chuckles.
"Definitely T. Swizzle." Santana winks and takes her hand to lead her to the couch and they both jump on top of Quinn and Sofie.
"Santana!"
"Brittany!"
They all start laughing hysterically until they are gasping for breath. When they finally calm down half an hour later Sofie says she is going to get started on dinner and Quinn volunteers to help.
"Want to watch a movie?" Santana asks Brittany.
"Sure. What do you want to watch?" Brittany says, scooting closer to her.
"Let's see what's on. Sof has satellite so she has all the movie channels." She replies and grabs the remote from the side table, pulls up the guide and starts scrolling through the movie channels.
Brittany grabs Santana's hand to stop her. "Oh Oh! Homeward Bound! It just started. Can we watch it, Sanny?" She turns to her with her pleading sparkling blue eyes.
"Ok, Britt-Britt." Santana says with a soft smile and selects the movie. She puts the remote back on the table and sits back, inching closer to Brittany. She's never seen it and it's definitely not the type of movie she would normally watch but there is no way she would tell Brittany no. She is not going to be the one to make her sad.
"Shadow, Chance and Sassy are just so cute." Brittany sighs after a while into the movie as the two dogs Shadow and Chance and the cat Sassy try to find their way back home to their family.
Santana busts out laughing at one of Sassy's retorts to the dogs. "Cats rule and dogs drool." She repeats. "I agree, Sassy. Cats are definitely better than dogs." Santana giggles and then puts her head down on Brittany's shoulder.
"Totally." Brittany grins.
She wraps her arm around Santana's waist to her bare side below her cropped T-shirt, gently ghosting her fingers along her ribs while Santana places her hand on Brittany's thigh and she rubs her thumb gently back and forth on her leg. Neither girl realizes that their bodies have gravitated to each other and have satisfied their unknown primal need to touch each other. All they did know was that they were both calm and at peace. They also didn't notice Sofie and Quinn peeking around the corner from the kitchen watching them curiously.
They are almost to the very end of the movie and mixed in with their laughter there have been a few tears trickle down both girls cheeks throughout the movie, much to Santana's dismay, but it is when Chance and Sassy make it over that last hill and are reunited with their kids that Santana looses it. She starts sobbing and climbs into a crying Brittany's lap straddling her and burying her face in her neck. "Shadow didn't make it!" She sobs loudly. "Why did you make me watch this horrible movie?"
Both Sofie and Quinn run out of the kitchen to see what the commotion is, one with a wooden spoon in hand and the other with oven mitts on both hands. They take in both girls crying and Santana clinging to Brittany, absolutely wailing.
"What the hell happened?" Sofie asks, utterly confused, while Quinn stands there stunned at her best friend's behavior.
"Sanny, it's ok, honey." Brittany says softly, through her own happy tears. "Turn around. He's ok, sweetie."
"Wh-what?" Santana says through her stuttered tears and turns her head just enough to see the screen. Sure enough, there Shadow is, limping over the crest of the hill. "Aye Dios mio! Britt-Britt! Shadow's ok!" She exclaims and then a fresh wave of tears, happy this time for both, come over both of them as they cling to each other.
"¿Santana Diabla está llorando por una película? ¿En qué universo alternativo entré?" (Santana Diabla is crying for a movie? What alternate universe did I enter?) Sofie mutters to herself, shaking her head and turning back to the kitchen to take the enchiladas out of the oven.
Quinn walks over to the couch and sits down next to the girls. "Hey," She says softly, "Are you two ok?"
Santana quickly picks her head up from Brittany's shoulder. "Yeah, totally." She says trying to play it cool even though she still has tears streaming down her face.
Brittany reaches up and wipes Santana's tears with the pads of their thumbs. "We are just fine, Quinnie." She says as she turns to give Quinn a smile. Santana shyly reaches up to wipe Brittany's tears away, too.
"Are you sure?" Quinn inquires, "I've just never seen you cry like that, San, and especially never about a movie."
Santana nods and chuckles, "It's all Brittany's fault," She puts her head back down on Brittany's chest and tucks it under her chin not even embarrassed that she is still clinging to Brittany, "She made me watch that movie."
"You loved it, though." Brittany giggles, tickling Santana's sides a tiny bit making her squirm a little and Quinn just beams at their antics.
"Fine! I did love it." Santana sighs and Brittany hugs her tight and Santana practically purrs into Brittany's ear.
Quinn chuckles quietly at seeing her best friend so soft, "Come on you marshmallows, I'm sure Sof is finished with dinner now."
"Not yet. Too comfy." Santana protests, nuzzling her nose into Brittany's neck.
"Me, too." Brittany purrs as her eyes slide shut and she pulls Santana impossibly closer to her.
"Oh Ok, you want to play that way." Quinn smirks. "Sofia! You sister doesn't want to eat the food you slaved over a hot kitchen to make for her! She's being a terrible sister! You better come out here and put her in her place!" She yells back towards the kitchen.
Sofie shouts from the kitchen, "Santana Diabla Lopez, you will eat this food that I made for you and your friends or I will sic Abuela on you and we both know that will not go well." She stands in the kitchen doorway with her hands on her hips looking scarily like a mixture both of her abuelas. "Ahora, ponte el culo en una silla en la mesa en este instante." (Now, put your ass in a chair at the table right now.) She growls as Santana scrambles off of Brittany's lap and runs to the kitchen table, with Sofie smacking her ass as she passes her.
"Ay! ¡Maldita sea! ¡Eso duele!" (Oh! Damn it! That hurt!) Santana cries as Brittany and Quinn join her at the table trying to hide their snickers. "And I never said I didn't want to eat, Lucy Quinn Fabray." She says pointedly to Quinn. "Soapie, you know I love your cooking." She says to Sofie trying to appease her as she takes a big bite of her enchilada, moaning involuntarily.
"Oh, I know." Sofie cackles, "You were just too busy cuddling with Brittany." She says as she takes a bite of rice. "Brittany, querida, (dear) you must be some sort of magical fairy because Santana has never cuddled with anyone in her entire life, not even as a baby." Sofie says to Brittany with a laugh.
"She is." Santana whispers to herself as she takes a sip of her drink.
Brittany just shrugs as takes a bite of her enchilada. "Ay Dios mio! Sofie, ¡Eres la hada mágica! ¡Esto es delicioso!" (You are a magical fairy! This is delicious!) She exclaims.
"Thanks, Brittany." Sofie says meekly. "It's our abuela's recipe."
"San told me she wouldn't teach her her recipes." Brittany chuckles.
"That's because she is terrible in the kitchen. She forgets what she is doing and starts 12 different things at once and then completely leaves the kitchen in an utter disaster when she is off doing something else entirely." Sofie laughs. "I actually surprised she hasn't started a fire yet." She says as Santana tries to hide her face behind her glass.
"I have." Brittany says shyly. "I um…I almost burnt our whole kitchen down in Houston when I was 14." She says looking down at her hands as she plays with her ring on her thumb. Santana reaches over and gently places her hand on Brittany's leg. "I shouldn't be trusted to cook by myself."
"Hey, it's okay, Britt-Britt, us neurospicies will stick together." Santana says encouragingly. "We can cook together someday. Who want's to cook by themselves anyway, that's so boring." She chuckles and Brittany beams at her, blue eyes sparkling.
After a few moments of everyone silently eating, Brittany says to Sofie with a smile, "Santana said you are studying to be a Midwife. That so amazing. I really love babies."
"Yes, I am." Sofie nods, "I was able to watch our Tia Rosalie give birth to our primo at home with a Midwife when I was seven and I knew right then that I wanted to be a Midwife." She tells Brittany, with a big smile that shows off her Lopez dimples. "I want to be able to help bring babies into the world as peacefully as possible." She sighs, her face positively glowing.
"I know you are going to be a wonderful Midwife, hermana." (Sister) Santana says to her sister with pride. "Sofie is always the one who takes care of me anytime I'm sick, and I am not easy to deal with when I'm sick." Santana informs Brittany.
"Ha! Not easy to deal with, my ass! You're a whiny, angry bitch when you're sick and Sofie is a saint to take care of you without complaining." Quinn scoffs at Santana. "Honestly, Sof, I don't know how you haven't dumped her off at an orphanage yet." She chuckles to Sofie.
"Eh, our parents kind of like her. They might be a little sad without her." Sofie shrugs as she finishes eating, making Brittany almost spit out her drink.
"Cállate, (Shut up) you know you two love me." Santana says as she sweeps her hair off her shoulder.
The four girls are all laughing when the front door is opened to Sofie's three roommates. A minute later they come barreling into the kitchen.
"Fifi, you better have made enough for all of us because it smells amazing in here." Says a tall lithe girl with long curly medium brown hair and light brown eyes, who is already getting plates out.
"Of course I did, Lils." Sofie chuckles. "Get you all a plate and come sit with us."
Santana, seeing that there are only six chairs and seven people, slides her plate and glass over towards Brittany. She looks up at her silently asking her if she can sit in her lap and Brittany just pulls over and slides her arm around her waist. Sofie just smiles to herself watching the whole silent exchange.
The three roommates bring their plates over the the table and Santana introduces them to Brittany as they have been Sofie's friends since her freshmen year and she knows them well already. "Ladies, this is Brittany Pierce. She lives down the hall from Quinn and me in Perkins. She's a freshman, too." She says the the girls. "Britt, we have Lily Davenport," She points to the brunette Sofie was talking to a few minutes ago. "Foster Jamison," She says pointing to a girl with a light brown complexion and a mass of dark curly hair and bright hazel eyes. "And this nerd is Annarose Kim." Santana says referring to the last girl who looks to be from Asian descent as she has almond shaped, hooded brown eyes and shiny, sleek short black hair framing her face.
"Nice you meet you all. Where are you all from? What's your majors?" Brittany asks, intrigued to meet new people but also glad that Santana is right there with her.
Lily starts first, "I'm from this tiny town in New England called Stars Hollow. It's twenty minutes away from New Haven, Connecticut where Yale is but they are way to stuck up for me." Lily chuckles. "I'm a dance major and from what I can see, you're a dancer, too."
"Yes, I am. I could tell you were a dancer, too." Brittany laughs. "I've been dancing since I was two but I'm not majoring in dance. I don't want to compete anymore. I just want to dance for fun now." She says with a smile as Santana reaches for her hand under the table and Brittany turns to the next girl.
"Well, I'm from Saint Kitts in the Caribbean." Foster says with a beautiful Caribbean accent.
"Why would you leave a beautiful island in the Caribbean to study in boring old Ohio?" Brittany asks her.
"My parents do not make much money on the island and OU offered me a scholarship to study mathematics. I want to teach so here I am." Foster tells her with a shrug.
"Britt's a math major, too. I bet you will be in a bunch of classes together." Santana boasts, nudging her shoulder a little. "She's in level 4000 classes this semester."
"You're joking, right?" Foster asks with her eyes wide.
"No." Brittany says shyly. "That's just were I was placed." She mumbles, trying to hide behind Santana.
"Britt, it's ok." Santana says softly to Brittany, patting her leg. "You don't need to hide who you are. This is a good thing."
"It is, Brittany. That's really impressive. I do hope we have some classes together. I'd love to work with you." Foster says with a bright smile as she nudges Annarose.
"Ok so yeah, I'm from ten minutes from here." Annarose laughs. "My great grandparents moved to Athens from South Korea and never left. My parents went to OU also. So I'm what they call a townie." She snorts. "But anyways, I'm a history major, which is why Santana calls me a nerd."
"That's because you are. You always have your nose buried in dusty ancient books and watching the history channel." Santana laughs.
"I like watching the history channel. Does that make me a nerd?" Brittany whispers into Santana's ear.
Santana turns to her and whispers, "Of course not, Britt-Britt. You're a genius. There's a difference." She smiles as she chuckles softly.
oooOOOooo
The seven girls had decided to watch 'Clueless' and then 'Titanic' and had all piled on the couch and the floor right in front of the couch. It was well past midnight when the second, very long movie ended and Sofie and Foster were the only two still awake.
"I'll wake up Santana and Brittany if you want to get Quinn." Sofie says to Foster with a small smile, knowing that Quinn will be much easier to wake than her sister.
"Yeah, sure." Foster replies going to wake Quinn.
Sofie walks over to the two girls who have curled into each other on the floor at some point. Sofie sees that they both have soft smiles on their faces even in their sleep. She pauses to take a picture to send to their mom and then she bends down next to her sister and gently brushes a few stray hairs off her face. "Teeny, wake up, Teeny." She says softly, knowing she needs to be gentle when trying to wake Santana.
Santana starts to slowly stir and then she pulls Brittany into her more and nuzzles in tighter, making Brittany pull her in tighter also.
Sofie giggles at the duo's adorableness and decides to change tactics. She moves over to Brittany's side and tries to wake her instead. She rubs the blondes back gently while calling softly, "Brittany, time to wake up Brittany." Nothing. "Brittany, wake up, sweetie."
This time Brittany flutters her eyes open and she slowly turns her head to Sofie. "Hi." She croaks.
"Hey, it's after midnight. I'm going to take you all back to the dorm, okay?" Sofie says quietly and then she gets up to get her keys.
"'Okay." Brittany says nodding and then turns back to Santana. She lifts her hand up to her face and gently runs her finger down the bridge of her nose and whispers, "Sanny, wake up time."
Santana smiles before she even opens her eyes, "Nu uh. Sleepy time, Britt-Britt."
"Sofie's going to take us back to the dorm so you can sleep in your bed instead of her living room floor." Brittany giggles.
"M'kay," Santana says as she slowly opens her eyes, "Will you…will you sleep in my bed, too?" She asks shyly. "It's just…I-I sleep better with y-you." She stutters.
Brittany nods ever so slightly. "I do, too." She breathes out, barely audible.
"Ok, good." Santana says with a nod as she quickly get up and turns to help Brittany up making her laugh. "Let's go, Sof. I needs my bed."
Sofie just rolls her eyes at her sister and ushers the three girls out the door to her car.
Their dorm is thankfully only five minutes away from Sofie's apartment so Santana manages to stay awake during the drive. Sofie pulls up the the back of dorm next to the back door. Brittany and Quinn get out of the back.
"We are going to go on up. I'll leave the door unlocked for you, San." Quinn says as she closes the door and goes on in behind Brittany.
"Me gusta ella, Teeny. Me gusta ella mucho." (I like her, Teeny. I like her a lot.) Sofie says, pulling her attention away from the back door that Brittany just went through. "Ya puedo decir que es especial. Sin mencionar que ella es muy caliente." ( I can already that tell she is special. Not to mention she's vee\ry hot.) She sighs.
Santana smacks Sofie's leg and exclaims, "Oye, ese es mi nuevo mejor amiga del que estás hablando. Quiero decir, sí, ella es hermosa, pero ten algo de respeto." (Hey, that's my new best friend you're talking about. I mean, yes, she's beautiful, but have some respect.) She says exasperated, "No hablas así de Quinn. Espera, no hablas de ninguna chica así. ¿De qué se trata eso, Sof?" (You don't talk about Quinn like that. Wait, you don't talk about any girl like that. What is that about, Sof?) Santana asks, intrigued.
"I don't know." Sofie shrugs.
"Um…Okay...Well, I'm going to go up to bed now. Call me tomorrow, K, Soapie?"
"Okay," Sofie nods and reaches across the center console to give Santana a hug, "Te amo, Teeny." (I love you, Teeny.)
"Te amo, tambien." (I love you, too.) Santana says as she exits the car and heads up to her room.
When she gets to her room she sees her lamp is the only light source and Quinn and Brittany are both already asleep. She smiles when she see Brittany is curled up with her bunny Beans. She quickly changes into an old Cheerios T-shirt and a pair of black boxers. She turns her lamp off and slips under her duvet with Brittany. She is facing the wall so Santana spoons her from behind, pulling her close. Brittany scoots back into her and pulls Santana's arm around her tight as she lets out a soft sigh. Brittany's shirt is loose and has already bunched up in front so their hands are intertwined on Brittany's bare stomach. Santana buries her face into Brittany's neck and immediately falls fast asleep.
oooOOOooo
A few hours later, something wakes Brittany up. She turns her head to Santana and asks croakily, "San, what's that?" As she nudges her hips back into Santana.
"Mmm." Santana moans, pulling Brittany's waist tighter into her.
"What's that poking me, Sanny?" She asks again quietly.
Santana opens her eyes wide now and swallows hard. "I-I-I uh." She starts hesitantly.
Brittany reaches back and puts her hand on Santana's cheek and tries to reassure her. "You can trust me, Santana."
Santana takes a deep breath and slams her eyes shut. She's terrified that she just scared Brittany away and that she will think that she is some monster or mutant and she really doesn't want to scare her away. She really likes her and she meant it when she told Sofie that Brittany was her new best friend. She just got her…she doesn't want to lose her.
"I'm…uh…intersex. I have both female and male parts." She says quietly and quickly, waiting for the worst.
