I barely made in the door before I was grabbed in a hug by my mom, "I missed you, how is school?" she asked, "mom" I whined and she let go, "this is Aria, and she is a huge fan, and school is good" I said, "Hi" Aria said, "hello, it is very nice to meet you" Skye said as my mom finally let us inside. Rex tackled me and I laughed as I hugged my dog, "I miss you too buddy" I said getting a lick to the face. "He really does miss you" dad said, "I know ugh, is he okay though?" I asked, "yes the twins take good care of him for you" Chase said, "good, dad I wanted to talk to you" I said. "Everything okay?" he asked a little worried, "yeah I just its not bad or anything" I said. "Good want to talk now or?" he asked before I was hugged again, "MAX!" Leila screamed, I hugged her and Lynne followed shortly after, "later" I said knowing my sisters missed me too. My mom and Aria were talking about music and I knew they would hit it off it made me smile, "where is Orianna?" I asked, "in her room" dad said, "you guys still fighting?" I asked, "no" dad said, I didn't believe him I knew when my dad was not happy. I ran upstairs and opened my sister's door, "hey" I said, "Max I am glad you are back" she said as I sat beside her and she hugged me. "Everything okay Ori?" I asked, "fine yea" she said, I could tell she had been crying, "what is wrong?" I asked, "nothing I was invited out tonight but dad won't let me go" she said, "are you still grounded?" I asked, "no you are the reason" she said, "well sorry, but I don't mind you going out" I said, "I know but dad does" she said. I laughed and went back downstairs, "dad she can go out" I said, "no I already told her she is not going out with that boy!" he said, "oh the dating thing" I said rolling my eyes. "She is allowed to date Max, just not this particular boy" he said, "oh bad news?" I said, "yes but she insists he has changed" dad said, "but you know otherwise" I said laughing. My dad laughed with me and I admit it was nice to be home, Lynne and Leila were now also talking to Aria she was a big hit, "so the new girlfriend seems nice" dad said, "we are just friends for right now" I said. My dad nodded he knew it would be more, his phone rang and I sighed I hoped he wouldn't be too long.
Dad left and I sat with my mom and Aria and we all were able to get know each other more, I really felt something for her. I knew it was too early but I did, and it seemed like my family liked her too. Someone knocked on our door and Lynne went to get it, "hey" I heard and I looked up to see Scarlett. I sighed really this girl could not take a hint, she noticed Aria and I felt her rage from here. Lynne looked at me and studied my face and she slammed the door, "LYNNE!" my mom scolded her, "no I am glad she did that, mom she is stalking me I swear" I said. "I am sure it is not that Max, she probably just wants to talk" mom said, "I am all talked out with her" I said. Orianna came down and opened the door and of course she was still standing there, "take a hint bitch my brother is over you" she said, "ORIANNA!" my mom said but I laughed. "I just want to talk to him" she said, "wow you must be dumb or something, he is not into you anymore" Orianna said, "please Max" she said, I sighed, "don't give in" Lynne said and I looked to Aria and I couldn't read her face. "Fine" I said heading outside. Orianna rolled her eyes, and I closed the door, "I first want to say I am sorry. I never meant for all of this to happen but I really do miss you" she said. "Scarlett, I am sorry but I can't keep doing this. We broke up months ago, and I am sorry your fling didn't work out but you need to move on" I said. "Why because you have, Max I love you" she said. "I have not moved on, Aria and I are just friends but I am sorry Scarlett I am not in love with you anymore" I said and she started to cry. "Max" she said, "no I am sorry the tears won't work, you will find someone Scarlett you will but you and I both know that this relationship will never work. We just didn't work so please accept that and leave me alone" I said. She cried harder and now I felt bad, I couldn't do this not anymore. "You should go" I said as I walked back into the house.
"She looks sad" Orianna said, "she will get over it" I said to her, and my dad came home thank god. "Dad we need to talk" I said and we sat on the porch, thank god Scarlett left, "Max you have me worried" he said, "its fine I just well something happened last weekend, and its been bugging me" I said. "Alright you have my attention" Chase said, "well I ran into Shane at a party and he brought me to this girls house her name was Jocelyn and she claimed to see the future. They took this drink and literally died in front of me and then told me I was this hero in the future. I am supposed to stop this bad guy that is going to serial kill a bunch of women" I said. "Really?" dad said, "yeah they even drew a sketch of the guy" I said, showing him, my dad looked at it but I couldn't read his face. "I can have Ian look into this but what is your question?" he asked, "is this all real or some sort of bogus trick?" I asked, "what do you think?" he asked, "dad" I said, "I don't now Max I mean sure there are mediums out there but I am not sure what to think of this, I guess we will need to wait" he said. I sighed but I went with him to the station and Ian ran the photo through the database. "That is weird according to this no such person exists" Ian said, "well he is supposed to be from the future" I said. "Oh?" Ian said, "he ran into a prophet" dad said, "cool I heard about those" Ian said. "So they are real?" I said, "to a certain point who is this guy?" Ian asked, "some sort of serial killer I am supposed to catch" I said, "Interesting well I will let you hang onto that then" he said. I could tell Ian believe all this and I felt like maybe this girl was not an idiot after all. My dad and I went home but I knew I still had more questions but I guess it was going to need to wait until Aria went to Klea's.
