Ryder
After spending a few days in the hospital I was finally able to go home. I was in my room and I could hear my mom arguing with her girlfriend. It didn't surprise me that they were arguing about me, she had to go to work. This one didn't want to watch me she said I was 13 and should be able to take care of myself. I agreed with her I was 13 and plus it was not like I was going to stay here, Zachary wanted us all to meet his plan was finally ready to go. Milton was done his project, I wondered what it could be had us all in the dark. I did wonder if this was something that was going to get me into trouble, I had no clue if we were going to do something illegal. Finally my mom left for work she kept fussing over me, she wanted to make sure I knew I was grounded. Like that was going to stop me, I made a pretty good bulge in my bed it definitely would fool this girl downstairs if she were to come check on me. A little trick I learned from Timothy. I was able to climb out my window it was not easy but I managed, I made it to Timothy's in record time. This time I was not going to drink I needed to make sure I was sober for whatever this was. I knocked was pulled into the house, and pushed against the wall I felt a hand around my throat.
"Really sending the cops here, I could kill you" Tanner said, "Tanner let him go" Lacey screamed, "no he sent his damn cousin here I bet he thinks I hit him" Tanner said, "TANNER!" Zachary shouted and I was dropped, trying to regain my breath. "ENOUGH! Ryder did not send his cousin here, he did that on his own. Sure we don't know who hit him but he is on our side" Zachary said, "Is he are you sure?" Tanner said, "yes no back off Tanner before I make you regret it" Zachary said and with that Spruce came to my side, he was glaring at Tanner, if anyone would save me it would be him. "Alright Ryder is everything set for you?" he asked, "yes my mom is at work" I said, "good now Milton is the first part ready?" he asked, "yes boss all set" Milton said. Boss did he really think he was his boss, I was still so out of the loop I had no idea what was going on. I wanted to believe that everything he was doing was not going to get me into trouble. I just had a feeling this was all some sort of set up and that Max was the one who was going to suffer. "Milton you will place the device and come back here" Zachary said and Milton left, I had a feeling the device was a bomb I mean that is what it looked like anyways. If he was dropping off a bomb what is it that we were doing? "I need everyone to drink this" Zachary said handing us a drink. I was hesitant I didn't want to drink alcohol not after last time. "It is not going to kill you Ryder, it will prevent the cops from detecting us" he said. How was that even possible. Was it some sort of witchcraft I didn't understand how it could prevent us from being detected. I drank after seeing that everyone else did and seemed to be fine. Before I knew it Milton was back and he handed Zachary a remote.
"Alright, Milton you will stay here and monitor the cameras" he said and Milton nodded as we all piled into a car, what was going on? We arrived at a bank were we going to rob it? "Now Tanner, Timothy and Gia with me Ryder and Lacey you will stay here and wait till I need you, and you will be lookout" he said. I had no idea how or why we were all doing his bidding, and before I knew it he hit the button on the remote, I had a feeling something blew up and that Max and the police and anyone was out there helping. I felt like it was a distraction for what he was actually doing here at this bank, and I was in on the plan. Well sort of I was somehow a part of the plan even though I felt like I was going to have this on my record and I would be arrested. "Ryder?" Lacey said to me snapping me out of my thoughts, "yeah?" I asked, "are you alright?" she asked, "what are we even doing? I mean we are robbing a bank?" I said, "well technically you and I are sitting in a car" she said, "true but do you feel being out of the loop?" I asked her, "I don't question what my brother does, he is stronger and smarter than me. Plus he scares me a little, I feel like I am here with you and that is all that matters" she said. I smiled I felt like that was here way of telling me she liked me, and now I was distracted from whatever Zachary was doing, I wanted to so badly just call Max and tell him but I also didn't want to give Tanner another reason to kick my ass.
After what felt like forever they all came back into the car and Zachary was smiling, "huge success! Great job everyone you all earned your cut" he said as we headed back to Timothy's. I knew I would need to get home eventually but I wanted to stay and find out if we were going to get away with this. "Thank you Ryder for being a good look out" Zachary said, "Sure" I said, "with your cousin on our trail I feel like we need to be extra careful, I get where Tanner is coming from. Ryder are you with us fully?" he asked, "yes" I said but I am not sure if I mean it, would I betray him in the end I don't know. I felt an obligation to Max but like I also felt like I owed it to Zachary. He saved my life a few times and if anyone was going to figure out who hit me it was him. I had a feeling Max thought it was Tanner and a part of me felt like he did but he had an alibi and Zachary would vouch for me just like he would for me too. Things were complicated I was now a criminal, but I couldn't think about that, I needed to get home, I needed to beat my mom home. "I have to go" I said, "sure no problem" Zachary said, and Spruce barked and growled, "fine but come right back" Zachary said, I had no idea what that meant but Spruce left with me he walked me home, he was keeping me safe. I wish he was my dog, I felt like he took me under his wing and he would go to bat for me. I hugged him as we arrived at my house, he left after licking my hand and I ran around back and made it back into my room. I heard my mom's car pull in and I made it just in time. I quickly climbed into bed and prayed that this worked that she had no idea I even left the house, the only way I could get away with it if Miley never checked on me.
I heard my door open and my mom walked into the room, "honey are you awake?" she asked, "mom?" I said trying to sound groggy, "Miley said you were in bed the whole time are you feeling okay?" she asked, "I am okay mom just tired" I said and she smiled kissed my head and left my room, she had no idea and Miley had no idea either, now all I needed to figure out was if we were able to get away with it. Did Max have any idea? What is it we did exactly? Plus what was going on with me and Lacey? I felt something I did but she is a lesbian isn't she? I am so damn confused!
