I spent the next few days catching up on sleep, and of course visiting my girl Aria, I mean it was the weekend and I really did miss her. I of course drove out to Toronto to visit her. I left Titan with Klea so that he could work on more skills with Jax and my dad he really was getting better. I told Aria everything and she literally didn't let me go all weekend. She hated my job but I wasn't going to do anything about that this is what I wanted to do since I could walk. She understood but it was still hard for her given that I had a target on my back. This Zachary kid was literally going to be after me my whole life, but it was not like we could do anything. We couldn't arrest an 8 year old plus he hasn't really done anything wrong, I couldn't prove he was at the house. I never saw anyone other than the little girl and she was even younger. Plus her mom refused to let us speak to her because we literally had nothing. Things were complicated but I was determined to keep Zachary on my radar. I was not going to let a child beat me, I was going to be bad ass and I was going to take him down.
I did need to catch him doing something wrong though as of right now he was just a regular kid who ordered around adults. Klea and I were currently camped outside the elementary school. This gave me a chance to watch him and keep Ryder safe too, I just didn't need him to corrupt him but I mean it was not like I could stop him either. "What are we waiting for exactly?" Klea asked, "I don't know Klea if this kid is as bad as I think, then he is messed up now. We need to catch him in the act and prevent the crazy from coming out" I said. "Right because that won't be hard, he is never going to do anything while we are watching him" she said, "maybe not be he doesn't need to know we are watching him" I said, "kind of hard to miss us, Titan sticks out he is a police dog. Plus he knows what you look like" she said, "ugh fine maybe I can where a disguise" I said. "Or we can just leave" she said. "Fine if we get a real case we can leave" I said, "Fine but you are buying me food" Klea said and I laughed I was hungry too might as well feed ourselves. We ended up getting burgers and going back just in time for the elementary school just in time for their lunch to start. I had my eyes on Zachary he was just observing kids right now. What the hell was he planning I could feel him plotting something in his head, and I couldn't let him do anything. I was going to be a fly on his wall and stop him from doing every bad thing possible.
I was so preoccupied by my thought process I didn't notice him bullying children, and this was not just anyone he was picking on Jasper. I ran over and Maverick his younger brother was trying to help but he was just making it worse, "I suggest you stop doing that" 'I said finally getting over to them, "or what?" he said, "or I will have you arrested" I said. Zachary laughed so hard and it was literally the evilest laugh I ever heard. "Max" Maverick said running up to me I was able to rescue them both from the bullying but I had a feeling he was just going to keep doing. I couldn't actually arrest him for name calling, but if he had done anything to hurt Jasper or Maverick I would not have hesitated. I wish I could have arrested him and just said I doing it because of what you will become! I mean damn I wanted to so badly, to prevent him from being bad and locking him up. "Thanks" Jasper said, "sure if he ever bothers you again tell me okay" I said, "he does this everyday" Jasper said, "really everyday?" I said, "yeah keeps calling us names and then asking us to join him in order to stop" "Join him?" I asked, "Yeah I am not sure what he wants, I don't care either I am not interested in being a bully" Jasper said. "Good for you Jasper, keep your head up" I said, Jasper smiled at me and they both went back to class. I looked to Klea, "don't we can't ask him to do that" she said. "I know but I want to know what he wants" I said, "well I am sorry we are not going to ask that of Jasper he is too innocent" she said, "he is ugh and Maverick to plus their dad is a lawyer" I said. "Exactly but Max we will figure him out, we can do this you know" she said. "I know, I just would hate for someone to get hurt or for him to start kidnapping or maybe he has already" I said. "Max stop you are going to drive yourself crazy" Klea said, "I am going crazy! Like I literally can't stop thinking about how he is able to get adults to bend over backwards for him. I know his parents are nuts but like how do I prove he is too?" I asked, "We keep doing what we are doing, we will catch him. We will figure him out Max, I am here with you always" she said. I hugged her it was the only thing I could think of to do, I knew now that Klea and I would get through anything. This was just the start of our crazy adventure on stopping Zachary, I was going to catch him even if it killed me in the process. He was going to be my obsession from now until he is caught and out of my future.
I sounded like a crazy person but I was going to catch him I had too, I not only needed to save this girls sister but I needed to save myself. I know I couldn't prove that he kidnapped me but he did. I was going to find out what he was recruiting kids for and I needed to protect those kids in my life, I would not let them go down with him. I needed to be on my A game, I couldn't screw up because he was going to be complicated. I even asked my dad to let me do this on my own, I wanted this to be the one case we solved without his help. He agreed, right now he was working on a case but I was so consumed in this that I decided not to help him, I needed to go help him right? I mean I wanted to learn from him, he is my hero. Fuck I was going to go help my dad, I pulled Klea along as we headed to the police station.
