"Hales?" Nathan called out as he walked into his girlfriend's apartment " In my room " Haley called back from her bedroom .
"Hey, beautiful. Whatca doing?" Nathan leaned on the doorway, watching his gorgeous girlfriend organize her closet for what seemed like the millionth time.
" hey, Im just organizing my closet " Haley smiled a small smile at him before returning to her previous task of folding shirts .
" hales, baby you've been organizing your apartment the past week and we all know that its too organized to be reorganized and you already organized my whole kitchen cabinet" Nathan pointed out as he walked towards haley " so really whats wrong? "
" nothings wrong " Haley said avoiding his gaze, forcing her to look at him,his eyes locking onto Hers with a pointed look that said he knew what she was thinking.
" is it about luke haley? " Nathan sat down next to haley on the floor " yes. No, maybe I dont know " haley laid her head on nathans chest " he still hasnt answered any of your calls? " Haley noded " i even went to see him but he wouldnt open the door, its all my fault "
" its both our faults hales, dont blame yourself " Nathan wrapped his arms around her " i was the one who told you to keep it from him, his your brother "
" look how about you finish oragnizing your closet and i will be right back " Nathan said kissing her softly " where are you going to? " Haley asked when Nathan stood up " nowhere just stop worrying about luke okay hales? Its going to be okay and i love you " Nathan smiled leaning down and leaving a sweet kiss on her forehead and walking to the door of her room " Nathan " Nathan turned around to see haley smiling at him.
" Thank you and i love you too " Haley said blowing him a kiss which he caught winking at her.
" coming! " Lucas shouted when he heared the bell ring, he opened the door revealing Nathan " what do you want nate? " Lucas rolled his eyes at his brother " i came here to talk "
" whatever you have to say kept it " Lucas was about to close the door when Nathans hand stopped him from doing so " just hear me out okay? Not for me but for haley " Lucas gave up and noded .
" make it quick " Lucas said as he walked towards the living room Sitting on the couch " so? Start talking "
" listen man we didnt wanna hurt you neither did we wanted to keep it from you. Haley made me promise not to tell you because she wanted to see if we would work together or not, just hear her out man shes devastead I know we hurt you and we're sorry we never meant to, haley is really davsted luke, she spent a whole week between reorganizing my kitcken cabinet and her apartment. Just hear her out, she needs her best friend . " Nathan smiled a small smile at lucas
" you really love her? "
" with all my heart I do "
" Just take care of her okay? Dont hurt her "
" I promise i wont hurt her "
Nathan stood outside of haleys apartment waiting for her to open the door, after five minutes of waiting the door swing open revealing haley who gasped as she looked at Nathan .
He was standing with a bouquet full of her favorite flowers, on the other hand he was holding a basket full of her favorite treats .
" Nathan.. " Haley said her eyes getting teary " hey hales " Nathan said walking towards her " These are for you " Nathan smirked " I love you " Haley said throwing herself at him, hugging him tightly " I love you more "
Haley giggled and stood on her tiptoes to give Nathan a kiss until he couldnt breathe " not that im complaining what was that for? " Nathan said panting " for being an amazing boyfriend, brooke told me you drop by to talk to lucas. Thank you " Nathan shrugged " its nothing really "
" its everything, now come on in! Im making mac and chesse "
" yum "Nathan said with a smirk as he followed Haley into the apartment. "How about a game of monopoly? This time im winning." Haley playfully nudged him with her elbow. "You always say that. And you still haven't beaten me in one game, so don't get too comfortable."
Nathan chuckled. "Well, I was thinking we could change that tonight." They both grabbed a bowl of mac and cheese, and before they sat down to eat, Nathan nudged her again. "Alright, but this time, no hiding the property cards in your sleeves, okay?" Haley laughed, teasing him. "No promises." Nathan smirked .
Nathan sat down at the table, eyeing the Monopoly board with a determined look. "Alright, no more Mr. Nice Guy," he said, as he shuffled the cards. "I've got this in the bag tonight."
Haley raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Sure, if you can beat me without 'accidentally' moving the dice ." She reached for her mac and cheese, keeping one eye on him.
Nathan chuckled, leaning back in his chair with a mischievous grin. "You'll see. I'm serious this time."
He picked up the dice, and before shaking them, he glanced at Haley with a playful smirk. "By the way, you look amazing tonight."
Haley paused mid-bite, caught off guard by the compliment. "You're just saying that because you think it'll distract me," she teased, setting her bowl aside giggling.
Nathan raised an eyebrow. "Maybe. But if it works, then I'll take it as a win." He threw the dice with a smirk, his eyes still on her.
Haley rolled her eyes but couldn't hide the smile that crept onto her face. "Nice try. But no way you're winning tonight. You know I'm unstoppable." She reached for her game piece, moving it confidently around the board.
Nathan leaned forward, eyeing her with mock seriousness. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice lowering just a bit. "Besides, you might have the monopoly on good looks, but I've got strategy on my side." He nudged her playfully with his elbow.
Haley laughed, flicking his arm lightly. "Strategy? We're talking about Monopoly, not a war strategy. You're gonna need more than that."
Nathan grinned, glancing at her. "Hey, if all else fails, I've got charm."
"Oh, I'm sure that'll help you with Boardwalk," she said sarcastically, moving her piece to land on one of his properties. "Now, where's your 'charm' getting you?"
Nathan dramatically placed his hand over his heart, pretending to be wounded. "Ouch, that hurt. You've got no mercy."
She shot him a playful wink. "You better get used to it. You're gonna need it to win this game."
As the game continued, the laughter and teasing didn't stop, but there was an undeniable warmth in the air, an easy familiarity between them that made the whole night feel like an effortless joy.
Nathan frowned as Haley placed her game piece on the final space, claiming her victory.
"Well, I'll be honest, I didn't see that coming," Nathan said, leaning back in his chair with a dramatic sigh. "You totally blindsided me."
Haley laughed, her eyes twinkling. "Told you, no one beats me at Monopoly. It's not just about luck; it's all about strategy." She gave him a teasing look. "I guess you'll need more than charm to win next time."
Nathan shook his head, smirking. "I think I underestimated you. But next time, I'm coming for you."
Haley stood up and grabbed the mac and cheese bowls. "Uh-huh, we'll see. But for tonight, I'm the champion." She walked toward the kitchen, but as she passed Nathan, she leaned in and whispered, "Better start practicing."
Nathan couldn't help but laugh. "You're on. Just wait."
Nathan frowned as Haley placed her game piece on the final space, claiming her victory.
"Well, I'll be honest, I didn't see that coming," Nathan said, leaning back in his chair with a dramatic sigh. "You totally blindsided me."

Nathan couldn't help but laugh. "You're on. Just wait."
Haley was walking toward the kitchen with her victorious grin, when Nathan suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist.
She turned, expecting more teasing, but Nathan was looking at her with a mock-serious expression. "I think you earned something for that win."
Haley raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Oh? You finally admitting I beat you fair and square?"
Nathan nodded dramatically, then grinned. "Absolutely. You were unstoppable tonight."
Haley chuckled. "I know. It's a rare sight."
Nathan took a step closer, his smirk turning mischievous. "So, as your reward for destroying me at Monopoly… I think I owe you a victory kiss."
Haley raised both eyebrows, feigning surprise. "A victory kiss? From the guy who said he'd never lose?"
Nathan shrugged with a grin. "Hey, a deal's a deal. Besides, it's the least I can do for someone who's clearly the queen of Monopoly… and my heart."
Haley laughed, rolling her eyes. "That was cheesy even for you."
Nathan stepped even closer, his grin softening. "Maybe. But it's still true."
Before she could respond, Nathan leaned in and kissed her gently, giving her a soft, lingering kiss as if it was his way of officially surrendering. Haley's eyes fluttered closed, and she melted into it, feeling the sweet, warm moment wash over her. When they pulled apart, Nathan raised an eyebrow.
"Well?" he asked, a playful glint in his eyes.
Haley smiled, a little breathless. "You get one victory kiss. Just don't expect any more until next game." She gave him a wink, then added, "But I'll admit, that was a pretty good prize."
Nathan chuckled. "I'll take it. Next time, though, I'm definitely winning."
"Sure you will," Haley said with a teasing smile. "But for now, enjoy your loss."
Haley and Nathan were curled up on the couch, a cozy blanket wrapped around them as they relaxed. The TV was on, but neither of them were paying much attention. Instead, Haley was nestled against Nathan's side, her fingers absentmindedly tracing circles on his chest as they enjoyed the quiet.
Nathan glanced down at her, noticing the thoughtful expression on her face. "What's up?" he asked, his voice casual but filled with curiosity.
Haley let out a small sigh, looking up at him with a slight frown. "I've been thinking about Lucas," she said, her voice low but steady. "I'm thinking of going over to his place tomorrow,to talk."
Nathan's eyebrows raised slightly, surprised but not overly concerned. "You mean after I already went to see him this morning?"
Haley nodded, sitting up a little so she could face him. "Yeah, I know you talked to him. I really appreciate it. But… I think it would help if I talked to him, too. I don't want things to stay weird between us."
Nathan shrugged, his smile returning. "I get it. I just don't want you to walk into another awkward situation if he's still not ready to listen. You've already apologized a bunch, Hales."
"I know," Haley said, a small smile forming on her lips. "But I just feel like I need to try again. I don't want him to think I'm just ignoring him. He's my best friend, and I care about him. I just want him to know it wasn't about him, you know?"
Nathan chuckled, pulling her back against him. "I get it. I really do. But don't let him make you feel like you've done something wrong when you haven't. You've done nothing but try to make things right."
Haley snuggled back into him, relaxing. "I know. It's just,I guess I'm still hoping we can fix it. Even if he's not totally ready to hear me out yet."
Nathan squeezed her gently. "Well, if you think it'll help, go ahead. I'm all for it. Just don't let him push you around or make you feel like you have to apologize for everything. You've already done that."
Haley grinned and lifted her head to kiss him on the cheek. "Thanks for being so chill about it. I was kind of nervous, but I think I'm ready to talk to him. Worst case, he tells me to leave. But at least I'll know I tried."
Nathan chuckled, his hand resting on her back as he pulled her in closer. "You'll be fine, Hales. Just remember, if he gives you too much grief, I'll be waiting to back you up."
Haley smiled, feeling a lot more relaxed now. "You always have my back."
"Of course," Nathan said with a grin. "That's what I'm here for."
They sat there for a while, the tension easing as they both enjoyed the quiet company of each other. Haley wasn't sure what would happen when she saw Lucas, but with Nathan beside her, she knew she was ready for whatever came next.
Nathan and Haley were lying in bed, wrapped in each other's arms, the soft light from the bedside lamp casting a warm glow over the room. The world outside was quiet, but inside their little bubble, everything felt just right. Nathan was on his back, and Haley had her head resting on his chest, one of her legs tangled with his. The peaceful silence between them was comforting, but after a while, Haley broke it, her voice soft and thoughtful.
"Do you ever think about the future?" she asked, her fingers tracing random patterns on his chest. "Like, where we'll be a few years from now?"
Nathan smiled to himself, glancing down at her. "Yeah, I do. I know that whatever Happens in the future i want you in it . "
" well, what do you see in our future together? " Haley asked smiling at him " i see a big house on the beach of course, a little boy and a bunch of mini haleys running around, a dog and a beautiful haley james scott making her famous mac and cheese " Nathan smirked
" so your planning on making me mrs scott then huh " Haley teased smiling at him " your the only one i want to have my babies, and im planning on making you Mrs Nathan Scott as soon as possible " Haley giggled softly, Nathan ran his hand through her hair " move in with me "
" what? " Haley sat up straight to look him " move in with me. You Practically live there, half of your stuff is at my place, plus i bulit you a closet last week for your stuff and i even made space for your clothes in my closet "
" okay "
" okay? "
" yes okay! I'll move in with you nathan scott! " Haley smiled from ear to ear
Nathan's eyebrows shot up, clearly not expecting such a quick response. "Okay?"
"Yes, okay!" Haley smiled from ear to ear, her excitement bubbling over. "I'll move in with you, Nathan Scott. What's your plan here, huh? You just want me to take over your house entirely, huh?"
Nathan laughed, shaking his head. "You know me too well. But honestly, it's not like I need convincing. I mean, you're already there more than you're not. I just thought we should talk about it first."
Haley raised an eyebrow, leaning back against the pillows with a playful grin. "Talking? You've been giving me hints for weeks now. Between the closet and the extra drawer you set up for me in your bathroom? I think you've been planning this for a while."
Nathan shrugged, looking amused. "Maybe a little. I like having you around."
Haley's heart warmed at his words. "I like being around you too," she said softly, her tone shifting just slightly, more sincere now.
Nathan turned toward her, his expression softening. "I'm serious though, Hales. This is a big step. It's not just about your stuff taking over my space. It's about, everything. Us. The future. I just want to make sure you're comfortable with it."
Haley sat up a little more, her smile still there, but now it carried a bit more depth. "I'm comfortable with it, Nathan. Honestly, I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be than with you."
Nathan reached for her hand, squeezing it gently. "I guess we're officially doing this, then."
"Looks like it." Haley smirked. "But we need to make sure we have enough space for my books and my shoes. I've got a lot of those."
Nathan raised an eyebrow, feigning shock. "Books and shoes? Oh no, I didn't know I was signing up for that." He pulled her closer, his grin wide. "You're not taking over every square inch of my house, are you?"
Haley laughed, leaning into him. "I'll try not to. But no promises."
He kissed the top of her head, his voice playful again. "Guess I'll just have to clear some more space for you, huh?"
Haley smiled up at him, her eyes twinkling. "It's a deal."
For a moment, they sat in silence, just holding each other. The idea of moving in together was still new, but the more Haley thought about it, the more it felt right. She had her own space, yes, but being with Nathan, in his space, felt like a natural next step for them.
Haley broke the silence, a soft smile on her face. "You know, I think we're going to have a lot of fun living together."
Nathan chuckled, pulling her even closer. "Oh, definitely. I'm looking forward to seeing how much of my couch you can claim. And if you start hoarding all the blankets, we're going to have a serious problem."
She grinned. "No promises."
Nathan raised an eyebrow, leaning in with a smirk. "Well, looks like I've got my work cut out for me."
They both laughed, their easy banter filling the room as they lay back down together. Whatever came next, whatever living together would bring, it was a new chapter they were ready to begin. Together.
Haley stood outside Lucas's apartment, her stomach fluttering with nerves. After everything that had happened, she knew this conversation needed to happen. With a deep breath, she knocked on the door.
When Lucas opened it, his expression softened slightly, but there was still a guarded look in his eyes. "Hey," he said, stepping aside to let her in. "I didn't expect you to come by."
Haley offered a small smile, walking into the apartment. "Yeah, well,we need to talk, Lucas. It's been long enough."
Lucas nodded, though he stayed leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed. "Yeah, guess so." He glanced at her. "I'm still not sure what there is to say."
Haley sat down on the couch, taking a deep breath. "I know things have been tense between us. And I'm really sorry for how everything went down. You're my best friend, Lucas, and I never meant to hurt you."
Lucas sighed, pulling a chair out to sit across from her. "I just don't get it, Hales. Nathan's my brother, and you know how he's always been—he's got that reputation, you know? He's not exactly the type of guy I'd picture you with." He looked down for a second, his voice softer. "And I just,I don't want to see you get hurt."
Haley nodded, understanding where he was coming from. "I know, Lucas. I know. And I get why you're upset. Nathan's history isn't great. I'm not going to pretend it is. But he's changed, and I believe in him. I really do."
Lucas let out a breath, his expression shifting from frustration to a kind of resigned confusion. "I've known Nathan my whole life. He's been my brother, and I've seen him screw up more times than I can count. He's always been, well, Nathan. The guy who bounces from girl to girl, never taking anything seriously. I've never seen him commit to anything, let alone someone like you."
Haley's voice was soft but firm. "But he's different with me, Lucas. I see a side of him that you haven't had the chance to see, and I know it might be hard for you to understand. But he's changed. And he's serious about me."
Lucas leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. "I know you're serious, Hales. And that's why it's hard for me to let go of the idea that Nathan's just playing with you. He's my brother, but I've seen how he treats people, and it scares me. I don't want you to be just another one of his flings."
Haley's eyes softened as she reached out, placing her hand gently on his. "I get it. I really do. You're protective of me, and I appreciate that more than you know. But I need you to trust me. I'm not doing this blindly. I know Nathan's past, but I also know what he's willing to do for me. I see him in a way no one else does, and he's more than just the guy he used to be."
Lucas looked at her for a long moment, his eyes searching hers. "I know I'm being hard on him, and I don't want to be that guy who always thinks the worst of Nathan. But, he's my brother, Hales. I've watched him screw up too many times, and I just don't want to see you be one of those screw-ups."
"I won't be, Lucas," Haley said softly, her voice sincere. "Nathan's not perfect, but neither am I. I just want you to trust me when I say that I believe in us."
Lucas took a deep breath, his shoulders relaxing a little. "I just, I don't want you to get hurt. That's all I'm saying. But if you really think he's changed… I guess I'll have to trust you. You're my best friend, and I hate seeing you upset over this."
Haley smiled, relief flooding through her. "I know you've always got my back, Lucas. And I never wanted to put you in this position. I just wanted you to understand that this is important to me. Nathan's important to me."
Lucas nodded slowly. "Alright, alright. I'll try to get past it. I mean, I guess if you two are happy, that's all that really matters. But don't think for a second that I'm not keeping an eye on him. He's still my little brother, and I'll make sure he treats you right."
Haley laughed softly, her eyes glinting with warmth. "I wouldn't expect anything less, Lucas. I know you'll be watching his every move."
"Yeah, you bet I will," Lucas said with a grin, finally softening completely. "I mean, I'm not gonna let my brother mess with you, Hales. I'd kick his ass if he did."
Haley grinned back at him. "Good. I wouldn't want it any other way."
There was a pause, and then Lucas looked at her with a sigh, his voice lighter. "Alright, I'll admit it. I'm not totally okay with everything yet, but I'm working on it. I'll get there. I trust you, Hales. And if you're happy with him, I'll try to get on board."
Haley reached out, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. "Thank you, Lucas. That means a lot to me. And I promise, I'm not just jumping into this. I'm sure about Nathan. And I'm sure about us, too."
Lucas smiled, leaning back in his chair, his usual cocky grin returning. "I'll hold you to that, Hales. You know I'll be watching."
Haley laughed, feeling a weight lift from her chest. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
" so you really love each other huh?. " Lucas smirked
" i love him, with all my heart luke " Haley smiled dreamily .
