Bonnie's Secret Crush
Chapter 3 The Big Day
It's finally Friday, and Kim is a total wreck, as far as her nerves go. All she can think about is what could happen during this date. What could go wrong, except everything. Still not ready to face the day, the hero slides out bed, and heads to the rest room for a quick shower before getting dress and breakfast. Something she does everyday just to help wake her up.
As she walks into the kitchen, she sees her mom, Dr. Ann Possible neurosurgeon. Waiting on her daughter, with a cup of coffee in her hand, she hands to Kim. It was just the two of them because her father, Dr. James Possible, rocket scientist, had all ready left for the day. He took her twin brothers, Jim and Tim, to school on his way to work. "Well Kimmie, are you ready for your date with Bonnie tonight?" Asked her mother, while sipping her own coffee.
"Argh, I don't know. It's all I thought about when I'm not hang out in the hallway with Bonnie, at lunch time. I don't what to do on a date with another girl." Kim protested. "Maybe I should just cancel with Bonnie?" She thought out loud.
The red haired Dr. looked at her daughter. Thinking about how hard it must have been, to come out to Kim like she did. "Sweetie, you can do what you want, but, put yourself in Bonnie's shoes. Do you think it was easy for her to talk to you about her feelings about you? I bet she was very nervous. Probably like what your feeling now."
"I know mom, but this is Bonnie we're talking about." Kim stated to her mother. "We never have been friends till recently. What if this is just a trick to embarrass me in front of people I know?" She asked her mother.
"I don't know Kimmie, this seems different to me. And you said it's been different around her. You guys are talking and getting to know each other better." The teens mom told her. "I don't think she is trying to do anything to you. I think that she is being sincere."
As the teen hero downs the last of her coffee, she places her cup in the sink, and stands next to her mother. "Maybe your right mom. Maybe she is trying to be different than before. But with our past rivalry, it's hard to know for sure." She hugs her mom as she starts to head for school. "Thanks mom."
At Bonnie's house, it's a different story. As she sleeps, the nightmare returns with an alternate ending. This time she is on the date with Kim, and all of a sudden, Kim starts to change. She agree at her, and she doesn't know why.
"Kimmie please what's wrong? What did I do?" Her dream starts out. Kim is looking at her with hateful stare. And she's getting closer, with her hands clinched into fist. "Kimmie please talk to me. I don't like seeing you this way." By the time she got the last word out, she gets a punch to the eye.
"That's for all the years of torment that you put me through." The teen red head told her. "And this, this because you are nothing but a hateful, spiteful, evil witch!" She screams at the brunette, as she throws another punch that lands on Bonnie's mouth, knocking some teeth out.
Bonnie is crying, tears running down her face, blood coming from her mouth. "What did I d!?" She holders out in pain, both physical and emotional. Just as Kim grabs her by her shirt, and pulls her up, ready to deliver another blow, the alarm starts ringing.
Bonnie shoots up in bed, once again examining her face for damage. Her eye is fine and her teeth are where their supposed to be. Breathing hard, she brings her knees to her face while wrapping her arms around them. A small sob leaves her. Why? Why today of all days did she have to have that dream again? What does it mean? Have I done to much to be forgiven? Is this what this is coming to? She won't know till tonight on their date.
Bonnie gets out of her bed, and goes into her bathroom to shower and change. Today is going to be a long day. She heads down to the kitchen to find no-one home. She grabs some pop tarts out of the cupboard, and heads out the door. If this day doesn't suck, she would be surprised.
Ad the students arrived at the school and stated to pile in, Kim was already at her locker getting her books around. Monique and Ron come up to her. "Girl where have you been hiding all week?" Asked Monique. "You've been harder to find than Waldo."
Ron chimes in as well. "Yeah KP. You won't even answer our calls. What's the big?" He asked.
"It's nothing ok. Just Bonnie wanted to hang by ourselves for a while till you all quit asking so many questions." Kim tells them.
"Oh really? What does queen b want with you other than to torment?" Kim's dark skinned friend asked.
"Yeah KP. It's Bon Bon we're talking about here. She always got something up her sleeve when it comes to you and her." Ron stated.
"You guys are horrible. You don't think people can change?" The teen hero scolded her friends. "She doesn't want to fight anymore. She wanted a truce. And frankly, so do i. And if you were really my friends, you wouldn't be trying to sabotage it." She slams her locker shut as she walks away.
Ron looks at the dark skinned girl next to him. "Well that went over well."
"Yeah. Like a lead balloon." Monique states. "Well I guess we will have to wait till miss queen b shows her true colors again. And as always we will be there to pick up the pieces again."
Over at Bonnie's locker, Tara is waiting for her friend to show up. As time ticks by, she keeps looking at her watch. When she looks up again, she sees Bonnie walking up to her locker. "Ok I have to know, what's up with you and Kim lately? You not trying to screw with her anymore? And you guys have been talking a lot to." Tara asked.
"Well hello to you too." Bonnie said sarcastically. "It's no big. I decided that I'm just tired of it. Being mean and spiteful. It just doesn't feel right anymore. It was time anyway." She said as she rummaged through her locker for her books.
Tara looked on in a mild sense of shock. "Somehow, I think your not telling me everything. What are you really planning?" She asked her best friend.
"Nothing at all. And after this week, your going to see more of the same. I'm not planning or contriving anything Tara. So stop being suspicious. Were trying out being friends. And so far so good." Bonnie tells her best friend. "Now come on, the bell is about to ring for first period."
School went by as expected. All the other cheerleaders were all trying to find out what was up with queen b and Kim. It just seemed like today was never going to end. Finally, it was time for cheer practice. As they were getting set up, Bonnie walks over to Kim.
"Yes Bonnie?" The green eyes hero asked. "Is there something on your mind?" Thinking that this is where the other shoe drops, her eyes locked on the brunettes.
Bonnie smiles at her new friend, "Nothing really. Just wanted to see if you were ready for later?" She asked her.
Kim put her head down. "I don't know Bonnie. I'm still a little nervous." She looks up to Bonnie again. "Are you sure you really want this?"
Bonnie's brown eyes looked deep into the the green orbs of her ex rival. "I won't lie. I'm kind of nervous as well." She says, as the dream starts to show up in her mind, the closer they get to their date. "And yes, yes I do want this. More than you know."
Feeling her nerves still going wild, she looks away to say, "Well, ok then. I brought my outfit for tonight with me so we can go from here."
"Good. So did I." Says the brunette. "So lets get this practice over with."
"What are we doing at a school boss?" A henchmen asked the blue man.
Drakken was watching the school we a couple of henchmen with him. "We are waiting for Kim Possible to see who she holds important to her. Then we will take that individual, and any others she holds dear. That way we will be able to force her to stop heroing, or we will kill the hostages. Then she'll be to distraught to come and stop us."
"But what if it has the opposite effect. You know, making her angry, and just comes after us with a vengeance?" The henchmen asked, trying to see any flaws Drakken has in his plan.
"Don't be ridiculous!" Drakken yelled. "She's a female. Of course she'll be taken over by emotions. She'll never be able to stop us again." Finished the blue man.
Looking confused, the henchmen just nodded in agreement, at what Drakken said. Still not convinced that Drakken knew what he was talking about. "Whatever you say boss."
Not long after, they notice the door to the school open and watched as Kim and Bonnie exit the school. They both get into the red heads car. As the girls left, the henchmen and Drakken started following them to their next destination. Which ended up at a fancy restaurant. One henchmen, in his street clothes, walked by the restaurant and place a tiny camera on the glass, so those in the car would be able to see as well. They watched as they talked and ate. Nothing to intimate yet. Just two girls having a meal together.
In the restaurant, Kim and Bonnie were just getting seated and looking at the menus. While sitting and waiting for their food, the conversation lead to some strange revelations. Bonnie is just dying to talk to Kim about her dreams. Kim is just trying to stay calm whole waiting for whatever Bonnie has planned to humiliate her.
"This a nice place Bonnie. How much does it cost to eat here? I don't want you to spend to much on me." The teen hero told the beautiful brunette in front of her.
"Don't worry about it. This is my treat. You're my date tonight. Next date you can pay." She smiled at Kim.
Kim was sitting there fidgeting with her fingers. Bonnie notice and reached over to grab her hands. "Hey, stop worrying. This is going to be fun. I promise you."
Kim, not one to mince words, told her what she was thinking. "Look Bonnie, I know you said you wanted to be friends, and even girlfriends, but I'm just afraid you have something really bad planned. Some to humiliate me again."
Bonnie looked hurt when she heard what Kim had to say. "Kim, I promise I'm not going to do anything of the sort. I want this. I really do. I want you to be comfortable with me. And at the end, if your still not interested in dating, then we will just be friends. Besides, if anyone has reason to be nervous, it's me."
"What do you mean by that?" The hero asked the brunette, with a confused look on her face."Why would you be nervous?"
"Kim, the reason that I wanted to talk to you and get my feelings out, is be cause I have been having a recurring dream. Nightmare, if you will. It's so real, that when I wake up, I have to check myself and see if it was true. In my dream, we are on a date, like this one. But, you suddenly get really mad at me, and started hitting me. I was begging, and bleeding with you to stop. But you just kept it up, until I wake up. Last night, you messed up my eye and knocked my teeth out."
Kim, looking at Bonnie in shock, can't believe what she just heard. "Oh my god Bonnie, I would never do that to you. Believe me, with some of the things you've done to me, I thought about it. But it's not in my nature to just hit you for no reason. There has to be another reason." She told the brown eyed girl in front of her.
"Guilt is what I figure." The brunette stated. "Guilt, for what I've done. Plus, the fear that if I told you how I felt, you would just be disgusted at me and just want to fight. Believe me, I don't want to fight anymore." Bonnie put her hand on Kim's cheek and smiled at her. "We're to pretty for that."
Kim blushed at that showing of emotion, from Bonnie of all people. "Thank you." She said as she tilted her head in the brunettes hand.
As their food arrived, they ate and talked some more. Trying to make up for lost time. But every time Bonnie brought up a story, it would be one that ended with her humiliated Kim. She would say sorry after. But the guilt would hit her and a tear would start to form, because of what she had done. She would say under her breath, "that was dumb Bon."
Kim would still hear her, and say it's ok. Soon after, they left the restaurant and ended up at a club, that only Bonnie knew about at their school. When Kim was looking around, she noticed, that there were no boys inside.
"Ah Bonnie, is this a gay club?" Kim was looking worried that this place really wasn't for her.
"Actually, it's technically a lesbian club. You know, no boys allowed." Bonnie told her red headed date. She could see the unease that Kim was experiencing. "Look, Possible, it your not comfortable here, we can go somewhere else if you want too?"
The teen hero was looking around at all the girls dancing, talking, laughing, and genuinely having a great time. "No, I think this will be fine." She said.
Bonnie took Kim by the hand, and walked her onto the dance floor. Wrapping her arms around Kim's neck she stared into the green orbs of her former rival. Kim just reached out and put her hands on the brunettes hips. Together, they stated to dance slowly with the music.
"Bonnie," Kim looked in to the brown orbs of her date. "I'm having a great time. But I just don't know if..."
He hero was cut off by Bonnie when she locked her lips to Kim's. As stunned as she was, Kim didn't try pulling away. She let the brunette go until she was done. As Bonnie was about to pull away, Kim reached up behind her head, and pulled her closer for her to kiss her back. But this time, Kim slid her tongue into the Bonnie's mouth and kissed her passionately.
After they split from the kiss, they continued to stare at each others eyes. Bonnie was staring into the olive eyes of her former rival. Kim was staring into the brown orbs of Bonnie's eyes, trying to look into her soul, to find out if she wasn't going to do anything to embarrass her.
Bonnie, who was the one who always tried to ruin Kim, was now the one who asked her out on this date. And Kim realizes that she is indeed starting to fall in love with her. Even though she is waiting for Bonnie to drop the other shoe, and show her true colors. And use what just happened to embarrass her so bad, that she would probably have to drop out of school.
Bonnie, on the other hand, is doing her best to show Kim that yes, people can change. Sometimes for the better. "Kim, I know your worried I'm going to do something bad to you. But I'm not. I just wanted to show you, that I do care. In fact, I'm definitely in love with you. And I want to be with you. And I don't care who knows."
"Bonnie, I believe you. You have to admit though, we don't have any good that's gonna magically appear in our past. I've always wanted to be friends, and you just hated me. But tonight, I can honestly say, I think, I'm in love with you too." Kim told her brown tanned skinned date.
As they continued to dance slowly, they just held each other close. Their foreheads resting on each others. The song finished and they walked off the floor to go find a table to sit at. Once they found a spot, Bonnie walked up to the bar and ordered them some drinks. Knowing she is still under aged, she ordered a couple of soda and returns to they're table.
"So," Kim said, "how are we going to handle this at school? Are we going to pretend this didn't happen, and then you continue to mock me, or challenge me?"
Bonnie had to admit, she had a good question. "Absolutely not. I'm done doing that. We'll just tell everyone that we formed a truce. And decided to be friends."
That seemed to put Kim at ease. She reached out to Bonnie's hand, grabbed it, and placed a gentle kiss on the back of it. "I like that plan." The teen hero smiled at her date, knowing that that was the answer she was looking for.
After the club, Bonnie was driving Kim home. It was getting kind of late. Kim had to be home by midnight, while Bonnie had to be home by 11. The red head reaches over and grabs the brunettes hand, interlacing their fingers. When they got to Kim's house, they got out of the car and walked hand in hand to the front door.
"Here we are. Safe and sound." Bonnie said to her. "I didn't do anything bad to you. I hope you had a good time."
"I had a great time. I hope we can do it again sometime." Kim said to her.
As they stood in front of each other, Kim pulled Bonnie into a hug, and gave her another passionate kiss before they said good night. Bonnie walked off to het car and started backing out of the driveway. Kim stood their and waved to her as she drove away.
Kim didn't know it, but her mom was watching out the living room window. Watching as the girls said their good nights and kissed. She had a thought that Kim would have a good time. But the kiss at the end, was all she needed, to know that her daughter was in love with another female. But as long as she's happy, was all that was need.
