Agony rips through him, stalling any thoughts he had only moments ago. A screams tears itself out of his throat violently, the sound of a human in pain turning into an animalistic growl.
Pain. Anger. Out.
The wolf is disoriented. There is a familiar scent in his nostrils, but it isn't near. The smell is alluring; he wants to bury his nose in the source. He lets out a mighty howl, crying for the companion he now realised belongs to the scent.
A dog bounds down the stairs, and the wolf relaxes slightly, burying his nose in the damp fur.
