For nahida the day was as usual as any day. She had woken up, spend some time drifting through the dreams of some of her people especially the children-they had quite the imagination and dreams and nahida enjoyed them every time -, doing the paperwork for the academia, scolding hat guy after he nearly blasted a fellow student after the said student in all his glory had the brightest idea to get into a debate with hat guy and to make fun of his research, sneaking out without telling the guards, wandering the forest, spending some time with the aranaras and such, truly it was a just like any other day. It all changed when she arrived back at the sanctuary(after apologizing to her guards), only to find wanderer there with a letter in his hand.

Seeing her, he wordlessly handed the letter to her. She gave him a curious look before directing her attention to the letter. " To Lord Kusanali, the dendro archon" it read, turning the letter she searched for the sender " From Furina de Fontaine, the hydro archon". Her eyed widened in surprise before she looked wanderer.

" don't look at me, i don't know how it even got here. It was inside one of my notes, it was placed in way that it was guaranteed that i would notice it."

"you didn't see who placed it there?"

"no. whoever it was, they are quite skilled. To place the letter in my notes without me even noticing and then vanishing without any traits and the fact that they even know about my connection to you. After seeing who the sender was i decided to come straight here especially with everything happening in fontaine right now"

Nahida hummed inspecting the letter again. The whole fiasco that was now happening in fontaine was no secret, especially about the trial that was happening tomorrow. In any other day she would have been excited to receive a letter from a fellow archon, but today she had a feeling this was something serious. With the prophecy looming above fontaine, she didn't think the letter was about a social visit or something.

Furina de fontaine has always been a mystery to her. During the time when she was still trapped by the sages, she was curious about how the other archons were. So she used the irminsul to know more about them, although she couldn't connect directly with the other archons she could at least learn about them through others eyes. Finding barbatos and morax was easy, while they had disappeared from the public with everything that happened in mondstadt and liyue it was easy to find them especially through the people associated with the incidents. The raiden shogun was a tricky one, it was like she was there and not there. Then after the events in inazuma, with the traveller involved she managed to get the gist of things.

Then came the hydro archon, furina de fontaine was a celebrity. Out of all the archon the one who made her the most curious was furina. After hearing about how the god was directly involved in the lives of her people and how they integrated herself into the heart of fontaine, it was impossible to not remain curious. However whenever she tried looking into furina it was like looking through misty lens. The information in irminsul about furina de fontaine was lacking. With just how popular she was one would think there would be a lot of information regarding her. But that wasn't the case, the information recorded was constantly changing. No its more accurate to say the information was being edited, a part of the data remained constant while everything else remained shifting. It was as if the data was being edited by someone, but that can't be possible since currently only she and wanderer was able to connect with the irminsul and edit its data. All of this had just made her more and more interested in the god known as furina de fontaine, the most mysterious of the seven archons.

"so, are you going to open the letter?"

She was cut off from her thoughts by wanderer's question. Ah ! thats right, she still had to open the letter, didn't she?. Tearing the wax seal off, she opened the letter.

my utmost respects to lord kusanali,

First of all i would like to congratulate you for finally being freed from your cage. i would have loved to get in contact with a lot sooner, but with the prophecy looming over fontaine it is hard for me to focus on anything other than the prophecy. Still my sincere well wishes for you going forward.

I am certain that by now you have been notified of the happenings in fontaine, if not then allow me to summarize. With the threat of prophecy looming over fontaine, my people have gone restless especially after poisson was flooded. With that, the traveller and her companions have decided to take drastic measures against me. To pry my secrets out from me, they decided to put me on a trial. Currently i am in a position where i would like to request your help as an authenticator for the evidences that i have on myself.

The traveller and the others are correct in assuming that i know about the truth regarding the prophecy. However while i am in full support of them knowing about the truth, it is not the time yet. I am sure you, lord kusanali of all people know about how not all knowledge is good. As such the truth, the secret that i keep if found out can doom entirety of fontaine.

I sincerely hope that you will be able to help me. Even if not i will not blame you after all i am asking you to go against the person that freed you. No matter what choices you make i will respect it.

Ps: If you decide to help me then please come to the port near yilong wharf in chenyu vale, my associates will guide you to fontaine secretly( i would rather no disclose your presence until the trial). They are already stationed there and they will recognise you and will come to you so no need to search for them, they will be there till tomorrow morning.

Pss: your help will not go unrewarded. I am sure you have many questions about me, i will answer any two question truthfully no matter what it is.

Nahida's eyes widened as she read more and more. Wanderer from his place grew curious as he watched her reaction. Before he could ask her about it she turned towards him before rushing towards him. She grabbed him and pulled him down before climbing on to his back.

"hey! What are you think you are doing?" despite his complaint he shifted to a more comfortable position.

" no time to waste we need to get to chenyu vale now, i will explain on the way"

Wanderer grumbled, mumbling about slave driving bosses and all. Still he could hear the panic in her voice, so he straightened out before zooming out the room leaving behind baffled guards who could only watch as they disappeared.

"wont the academia panic about your sudden departure?" he inquired as he zoomed past trees and mountains heading in the direction of chenyu vale.

" i already sent a message to alhaitham, he will take care of the academia during my abscence. Hehe" nahida said with a giggle.

"now then, what did you find inside the letter that we had to rush out without any explanations" he decided to enquire.

Seeing no reason to not tell him, nahida decided to answer him. She explained the contents of the letter, about how the entire of fontaine maybe doomed if the secret comes out and how furina had requested their help.

Wanderer scoffed "you would think with all that happened, those idiots will atleast learn not to mess with things that they know nothing about. I wonder if all the glory and praises have gone to their head if they decided to trial the god of justice herself. Well atleast tomorrow wont be quite boring as usual." He grinned. He didn't know what those idiots were thinking putting the very person that made pretty much most of the laws in fontaine on a trial. Well atleast he would be able to stave off his boredom for a while.

Nahida hummed, though she wouldn't be harsh as wanderer she agreed that the traveller was playing with forces that she knew nothing about especially one that could potentially put an entire nation at risk. She thought that the traveller learned about how not every knowledge was meant to be known, with everything that happened in sumeru. Well it seems she was wrong.

They continued heading towards chenyu vale, zooming past trees and mountains before a thought came to her mind. Nudging wanderer a bit to get his attention, he replied with a slight incline of his head.

"what is it?"

"i was thinking, in the past during your.. you know...when you were your past self, did you heard anything about the hydro archon from the fatui."

Wandered frowned slowing down a bit to gather his thoughts. Remembering his past self was not something he enjoyed, yet he knew he could push the memories away as it was part of what made him who he is today. He sighed deciding to reply

"i don't know much. If you hadn't noticed i was not really social or even well liked among the harbingers so i didn't really hear much about fontaine or its archon. But from what i know and was told, the tsaritsa made it clear that no harbingers or fatui other than those associated with the house of hearth are not allowed on fontaine's grounds and she herself will punish the one that goes against her words. The doctor once made a comment about how he would like to kidnap some of the melusines there for his experiments because of their origin. He was promptly shot down and was given a warning not to test the tsaritsa. This maybe its my suspicion but i believe that there is a connection between the tsaritsa and the hydro archon."

Nahida blinked in surprise. "what made you think so?"

"the tsaritsa didn't particularly care about the fatui's actions in any other region even in inazuma, where it was public knowledge that if you offend the shogun you die and you cant do anything about it. Even when signora was killed she didn't say or do anything. But when it comes to fontaine its different"

"how so?"

"the fatui's are known to be law breakers and criminals and every nation is wary of their presence in their nation and yet the very nation of justice let them roam free and even let the a harbinger operate an orphanage where it is known that she is raising the children to be fatui's. And moreover most of the fatui stationed in fontaine are quite well mannered as if they are instructed to not mess around. With how everyone talks about furina one would believe she would have atleast done anything to restrict them but she didn't."

"now that you are saying it, it really do seem weird."

"when the tsaritsa warned us, pierro didn't seem surprised. I think he already knows about the connection between the tsarista and furina de fontaine. Even among the fatui furina de fontaine is a mystery."

"well she did promise to answer any two of our questions regardless of what it is for our help. Maybe we could solve the mystery surrounding the hydro archon.."

Wanderer hummed in agreement before speeding up again. It seems they were nearing their destination as the giant waterfalls in yilong wharf came in to view. Flying up they gathered the attention of the residents who pointed at them before reaching above the waterfall. Wanderer slowly floated down before setting nahida down. The people around them chattered and muttered pointing at them. They stuck out like a sore thump with their arrival.

Wanderer looked around before setting his gaze on nahida.

"so what are we supposed do here?"

"lady furina said her associates are already here and they will find us themselves when we arrive."

"so we are just going to stand here until they fin—" "lord kusanali"

he was cut off from a voice behind them. Wanderer's eyes widened, his hands tightening as he forcefully suppressed the wind that had coiled around his arm as he nearly lashed out at the presence that just popped up behind them. 'what the hell. I didn't even sense them. It was like they just popped out of nowhere.' Mentally berating himself for not paying attention to their surroundings he looked towards nahida seeing the little god having the same reaction minus the lashing out part. But the widened eyes told him that she too didn't notice the presence.

Both of them turned toward the voice as they inspected the owner of the voice. It was a tall woman with long dark purple hair with purple eyes. She had pale skin. She was wearing a black buttoned cardigan with golden edges and black pants. Draped over her shoulders was a knee length cream and brown coat with shoulder pads. The metallic emblem that was pinned on the lapel of her coat immediately caught their attention, it was shiny balck metal with a symbol of outline of a woman with a hat in deep blue colour with golden highlights at the edges. Nahida immediately recognised that the symbol was the outline of furina. Meaning this was the associate they were going to meet.

(the character is "eclet pardissa" from the manhwa "pick me up infinite gacha". The symbol on the emblem is furina's constellation)

"are you the one that lady furina have send ?"

The woman gave a polite smile before bowing in fontainian fashion. "thats right. Allow me to introduce myself i am Eclet Pardissa, Master fuirna's subordinate. I was instructed to bring lord kusanali along with whoever accompanied you to fontaine if you decided to help." Rising from her bow eclet continued " considering that you are here no means you have accepted master's proposal?" seeing nahida nod she smiled " then first of all allow me to express my deepest gratitude for you help" eclet once again bowed.

Seeing that they were gathering curious looks from the onlookers nahida decided to reply " there's no need for that. Lady furina explained the gist of things and i am more than happy to help her. If anything i am more happy that lady furina decided to reach out to me."

Eclet smiled nodding towards them. " while i would like to continue our conversation. I believe it would me more appropriate to move towards more secluded space. If lord kusanali doesn't have any objections maybe we can continue on our way to fontaine." She offered

Nahida smiled " i think that would be wonderful. Oh and please call me nahida, i hope we can get along" she said cheerfully.

The taller woman chuckled. " as you wish, lady nahida and you can call me eclet" turning around she made a gesture for them to follow.

Nahida grabbed onto wanderer's hand as they followed eclet.

"and you?"

"hmm?" wanderer made a noise of confusion as the woman tilted her head to look at him

"what should i call you?" eclet inquired further

Wanderer was silent for a second before answering " you can call me wanderer"

Eclet smiled as her eyen shone with amusement. There was something mysterious about her smile as if she was saying that she knew something more. He was right as the next sentence made him freeze and even nahida to look at the woman wide eyed.

" wanderer huh? So that's what you go by now huh." She grinned before muttering a name that for in all purpose she shouldn't have known "...baladeer".

Wind burst from his hand as he swung forward before his hand stopped an inch away from her face. Her hair was blown back from the gust of wind that stormed past her face, despite that she simply grinned in amusement as he glared at her. Nahida placed a hand on his body a gentle green glow emanating from her hand as she tried to calm him down. He took a breath as her powers flowed through him before straightening out.

Seeing that he has calmed down, nahida turned towards eclet who was still grinning at them. "i hope you are not offended miss eclet but hearing that name was quite surprising. Especially when it is all but removed from this world. I hope you don't mind if i asked how you came to know about it."

Eclet laughed before gesturing them to continue follow her "there's no need for apologies. The wrong was on my part, i apologize. I was simply testing to see what reaction you will have. And as for how we come to know about it. Well you will be surprised at all the things that we are aware of. As for the origin of them you need to consult with master or the teacher. Only they have the answer to your questions. You will be meeting master directly once we reach fontaine you can ask all the questions directly then. And besides we are near the ship we can continue our conversation inside."

Wanderer nearly argued but calmed down after a reassuring pat from the little god. He sighed before continuing behind her. He realised that they reached a secluded area of the port. There were people wearing uniforms the same as eclet minus the coat and the golden designs replaced by deep blues and purples. The symbol on the metal emblem was printed directly onto their shirts over their chest. Seeing eclet the soldiers saluted at her before continuing their works . there were several crates that that they were moving around.

"captain eclet!" a voice called out. They turned to see a girl with short black hair and round glassed rushing towards them.

"ella." Eclet nodded towards the girl. Before addressing her guests "this is ella my secretary"

Ella cheerfully waved something that nahida mirrored " i am the dendro archon kusanali, you can call me nahida and this is my bodyguard and assistant wanderer. I hope we can get along" wanderer rolled his eyes but still nodded at ella.

"same here" ella cheerfully replied

Seeing that the introduction are finished elect asked ella "i hope the preperations are complete".

The girl smiled enthusiastically before reporting. " yes ma'am, everything is complete. The shipments have been dropped off and we the delivered goods have been stored in the ship."

"good, then get ready we are going to depart soon" eclet ordered before turning towards nahida and wanderer. " if you don't have any complaints how about we get going?."

Nahida smiled, wanderer grumbled about pushovers before relenting. He looked around the port before asking eclet " so.. how are we going. I don't see any ships here." It was true there was no ships near the port. Both nahida and wanderer turned towards eclet when she chuckled before grinning- something was really starting to annoy wanderer at the smug look she had.

Turning towards her secretary "ella, tell them to bring her up"

Ella nodded before pressing something on her watch. Nahida and wanderer looked confused before they noticed the water rippling, in no time something rose from the water. Wanderers eyes widened 'this is our transport?!" . nahida mirrored him but there was almost a childish wonder to her widened eyes. It was expected as they have never seen a ship like this. It was a large ship or was it a submarine? It was shaped like one of those large fish-sharks if he recalled correctly-. It was mostly white with blue mixed in mostly at the fro. It was a giant ship as big or even bigger than an actual ship. The front of the ship opened showing a platform for them to climb on.

Eclet grinned at their reaction."i hope it impressed you. We will be using the secret underwater passages to get to fontaine. We don't want anyone to know about our special guests. Now then lady nahida, lord wanderer, how about we get inside?."

Nahida almost ran inside with a childish excitement with wanderer following behind. She ran around inspecting everything. He couldn't blame her even he was a little excited even if he didn't show it after all it was not everyday you were able to get inside something like this.

The latch closed behind them as the ship began to move. Nahida ran towards the glass windows as they descended into the water, her curious eyes taking in every detail of the world under the ocean. She couldn't hold her excitement, she was already excited to meet furina. But from the moment she had accepted the letter, it has been one surprise after another. She had a firm belief that with furina around nothing could be boring anymore.

Wandered stood behind her , watching the scenery. He too mirrored her thoughts. But he realised that he shouldn't be so surprised after all furina de fontaine was a god known to drown herself in drama. He felt bad for the poor unfortunate souls that were going to be up against her tomorrow. Because if he is correct then... furina de fontaine will tear them apart.

honestly i dont know if i went overboard with is or not but these type of ideas doesnt get out of my head. the idea for the under water ship came to me when i was exploring underwater in fontaine. after seeing the fish like mecha under the water .

i plan to use manhwa characters as furina's subordinates. so if you have any recommendations please comment.
