Here's another chapter! Melissa and Uraraka are finally somewhat getting along! Melissa made breakfast for both of them and were finally talking it out. Uraraka's still somewhat uncomfortable around her, but it's not like how it was with Bakugo. I think they'd soon realize what the other did and apologize for it. Uraraka's still upset about the necklace, that'll still come up I'm sure. I actually like that Midoriya is upset at Uraraka for saying that to Melissa. He would be upset for sure. It's something that means a lot to him, but only she and Bakugo would notice. Let's see where this goes...

I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, and everything else after that just to get the full experience especially if you want to know who Kitsune is!! Enjoy :)

In Gym Gamma...

Uraraka was ready to help out Melissa with her quirk. She wasn't exactly thrilled about it, but she wanted to get this done so that she could swap bodies finally. Besides, she thought that it might be fun to teach Melissa of all people how her quirk works. At least she'd be entertained for a while. Melissa looked nervous, but still said she was ready anyway. She took a deep breath in and out as she posed in a stance that might help her out.

"So... What are we going to start with?" Melissa asked her with a bead of sweat dripping down her forehead.

Uraraka remembered how things turned out with Bakugo. He got it pretty quickly, but still struggled to stay balanced in the air for a long period of time. She knew that it might be different with her since she's never had a quirk before.

"Okay. So, you could start by activating my quirk on yourself," Uraraka said to her.

Melissa's eyes widened in shock, and she looked even more nervous.

"Wait! We're doing that move right away?!" Melissa exclaimed to her, "B-But shouldn't we start with making other things float? You know, it might be the best start. I've never done anything like this before."

Uraraka was slightly annoyed, but went with what made most comfortable at the moment. She grabbed her backpack and dumped a few things out of it that she could practice on. Melissa let out a sigh, and Uraraka couldn't help but giggle at her nervousness.

"Okay. I guess you could practice making things weightless," Uraraka said back, "This is kind of something that I used to do when I was younger. This might be the best thing to start on since you've never had a quirk before."

Melissa didn't seem bothered by it as Uraraka pushed everything near her. Melissa sat down and looked at everything that was laid down on the floor. It was just a bunch of school supplies like pencils, pens, erasers, notebooks, and post it notes. There was even mint gum and a keychain of AllMight which caught her attention.

Uraraka sat down across from her, ready to help her. She knew that she had to be patient with her. Melissa has never done this before. It was like working with a child that just got their quirk.

"Okay. So all you have to do is touch the object with all five fingers. It should activate on that item only. The more you make weightless, the more nauseous you'll feel."

Melissa looked a little more comfortable with this and nodded at her. Uraraka watched her look at all of the items, and Melissa soon touched a pencil. For some reason, it didn't do anything. Uraraka looked confused and didn't see why it wouldn't work. She touched it with all five fingers, it should work and float into the air. Even Melissa didn't know what was wrong.

"That's weird. It should work," Uraraka said to her.

"Maybe there's something that you do without realizing that I wouldn't understand. I mean, I've never had a quirk before anyway," Melissa explained to her, "Like, maybe if I focus more on making it float?"

Melissa grabbed the pencil again, and Uraraka waited for the pink glow to activate. But nothing happened.

"This is weird..." Uraraka said back.

"Maybe your emotions are connected to your quirk. I've noticed that a lot of people have that," Melissa said to her, "Is there something that you use as motivation that helps you activate it?"

Uraraka's face turned bright red when she realized that she thought about Midoriya a lot during hero training. She sometimes thought about her parents and what she wanted to do for them as a pro hero. But lately it's been more about Midoriya and how much she inspires him to be a better hero. She tried to shake off this feeling with Melissa right aross from her. She decided to go for her parents since it was less uncomfortable talking about.

"I-I... I guess it's my parents..." Uraraka said to her, "I mean, I came here to help them out with their job. You see, they own a construction site. We haven't made any money lately, so I wanted to get a hero license so I could use my quirk to help out with heavy equipment. I thought that it would help them earn more money, and then they could finally settle down. Maybe go on a vacation or something."

Melissa's eyes widened in shock, and Uraraka could tell that she wasn't expecting anything like that. Something seemed to hit her, and Uraraka realized that she might thinking her dad in that moment. She hoped that she didn't stir up anything that might bother her. For a moment, she thought she saw her eyes beginning to tear up.

"I... I had no idea that you were going through something like that..." Melissa said to her, "I mean... That's really heroic of you to do that for your parents. You didn't have to, and yet you're still trying to help them out. I'd say what you're doing to become a hero is pretty amazing already. My dad is still in jail, so I don't see him as much. I do want to help him get out obviously, but all I can do is wait. I want to make him proud though. Make things and create inventions that he'd be proud of."

Uraraka was surprised to hear her be so open about her dad. She hadn't said much about him ever since she got here. Something about this conversation made Melissa more emotional, and Uraraka knew that they were finally getting somewhere.

"Okay. Now try again," Uraraka said back, "You should do this for your dad. Use my quirk to show him what you can do with your inventions. You came here on your dad's behalf, right? So do this for him."

Uraraka noticed how confident Melissa looked as she took a deep breath in and out. She grabbed a pencil with all five fingers, causing them to glow pink. Soon enough, the pencil was weightless and floated in the air. Melissa's eyes widened as her smile brightened up as well. She then grabbed a pen and made that float too. Before she knew it, she had floated almost everything that was in Uraraka's backpack.

"You did it!" Uraraka exclaimed, "You got it pretty quickly. I've gotta say, I'm impressed that you got so much in the air so easily."

"I feel a little nausous, but it's not that bad," Melissa said to her, "I bet it's worse with bigger items like furniture."

"Yeah, but still. You've never had a quirk before," Uraraka said back, "Do you think you're ready to make yourself float?"

Melissa's eyes widened in shock, but nervously nodded her head. Uraraka noticed her trying to get ready to grab onto something, but there was nothing to grab onto. She even took a stance that Uraraka has done before. Melissa was getting her hands ready, and Uraraka knew that she got the gist of it but still needed help.

"You wanna get ready once you touch your fingertips together," Uraraka explained to her, "Once you activate it, don't struggle so much. It helps to stay calm."

"Stay calm. Got it," Melissa said back, still looking nervous.

"Do it whenever you're ready," Uraraka said to her, "I'm right here if you need help."

Melissa took a deep breath in and out as she got ready to use Uraraka's quirk.

Uraraka watched her as she tried to get herself to activate it. She would be ready, and then back out. She did it over and over again. She felt slightly annoyed, but couldn't blame her. It wasn't something that everyone would like to do all the time. Once she got herself to touch all five fingers, they glowed pink. Melissa suddenly felt the ground fall from her feet as she was lifted into the air. She tried to stay calm, but didn't expect it to happen so quickly. She moved a tiny bit in the air, but that soon made her struggle. Soon enough, she had tipped over to one side and was floating upside down.

Uraraka's eyes widened, realizing that she was stuck. Melissa cried out as she tried to keep her skirt from falling upwards. Her face was bright red and got nervous that she would accidentally deactivate Uraraka's quirk.

"Ochaco! I need help!" Melissa cried out, "I-I don't know what to do!"

Uraraka couldn't do anything since Melissa didn't have a quirk. She wanted to help, but she knew that she had to get someone to help her down.

"Melissa! Stay where you are! I'm going to get help!" Uraraka cried out, "Just stay calm!"

Soon enough, Melissa was left alone upside in Gym Gamma.

In Class 1-A's classroom...

Midoriya and the rest of his class were taking notes as Mr. Aizawa was writing them down. He tried to focus on them, but all he could think was Uraraka. He really wanted to talk to her, but he was still mad at her. Something about it still felt a little weird that he was still mad at her. He soon felt like this was getting ridiculous. He wanted to apologize for acting this way, but she still should've known that this would bother him.

He let out a sigh and went back to his notes.

All he wanted to do was to help Uraraka with fixing her necklace. He hoped that they were at least getting along. Melissa said that she would get him that Loctite glass glue soon enough. For now, he had focus on his school work and so did everyone else. He knew that Uraraka's seat was empty, which made him lose focus a little bit. He kept glancing over at it, wondering how things were going.

If anything, he hoped that they weren't arguing or fighting.

Midoriya scratched the back of his head, feeling a little annoyed that he couldn't concentrate on this school work. He wrote a few notes down, but still couldn't get himself to relax. He felt like something was wrong for some reason.

Then everyone looked up, hearing someone running over down the hallway. Then the door slid open, revealing Melissa looking really distraught. But then they all remembered that it was Uraraka as she looked at Mr. Aizawa and Midoriya.

"Mel-- Uraraka, what're you doing here at a time like this? I thought you were helping Melissa with your quirk," Mr. Aizawa said to her with a stern glare.

"Sorry for interrupting Mr. Aizawa!" Uraraka cried out, "Izuku! I need you! It's Melissa! She's stuck, and I get her down!"

Midoriya's eyes widened in shock and so did everyone else's. He whipped his head over at Mr. Aizawa, and he didn't hesitate to let him go with her.

"Go help her Midoriya. Everyone else, take notes," Mr. Aizawa said to them, making everyone sigh.

Midoriya bowed to him and ran out of there with Uraraka. They both took off, but Midoriya knew that he had to pick up the pace. Melissa wasn't used to this sort of thing. She could be freaking out in the air and not knowing what to do.

"Ochaco! We've gotta pick up the pace!" Midoriya said to her.

Without hesitating, he picked her up and carried her bridal style. He activated One for All and ran as fast as he could. He ran across the hallways, and Uraraka held onto him tightly. He worried about Melissa, but he also wondered if Uraraka had finally apologized to her. He'd worry about that later, right now, he had to get Melissa down.

Uraraka didn't say anything as Midoriya kept running. Soon enough, they were already running across the field and towards Gym Gamma. Midoriya could see it getting closer and soon ran into it. His eyes widened in shock once he skidded to a stop. Melissa as Uraraka was floating in the air. Not only that, but she was upside down and red in the face as she held her skirt from flipping upwards.

Midoriya let Uraraka down who was just as worried as him. He activated Black Whip, making black tendrils appear around his arms.

"Don't worry Melissa! I'm coming!" Midoriya called out to her.

"To what?!" Melissa cried out, "I'm floating in the air!"

Midoriya soon launched the black tendrils at pillars near Melissa. He backed up and launched himself towards her. Midoriya noticed how Melissa was really high up. She must've floated pretty high since Uraraka left her to get him. He launched at her using One for All and quickly grabbed her while still weightless. He tried to launch Black Whip at a nearby pillar, but soon found himself floating. He could tell that he had activated Float by accident. It helped him take his time however, and soon launched Black Whip right at the pillar.

Black Whip helped him swing across Gym Gamma as he slowly descended towards the floor. He let go of Black Whip as it disappeared, and he landed onto the floor. He skidded a bit, but came to a stop with Melissa in his arms. He could feel her arms and hands shaking as she held onto him. She didn't let go as he settled down onto the floor.

With Uraraka standing there, he felt a little awkward carrying Melissa.

"Melissa? Are you okay?" Midoriya asked her.

"Y-Yeah... I-I'm just... A-A little dizzy..." Melissa said, still shaking in his arms.

"Melissa. You're still weightless," Uraraka told her, "You're going to have to deactivate your quirk by touching all five fingertips together."

Midoriya didn't want to let her go until she deactivated her quirk. Melissa was still shaking, but managed to do it as she felt herself fall into Midoriya's arms. He soon put her down, and Melissa felt a little dizzy and nauseous. Midoriya noticed that she looked a little green. Before they knew it, she threw up on the spot. Midoriya felt bad for her, but couldn't watch her throwing up sparkly rainbows.

Uraraka unexpectedly came in and rubbed her back to comfort her. Something about seeing Uraraka helping her out made him feel better about them hanging out together. She even looked a bit more relaxed around her as she rubbed her back. Midoriya wanted to talk to Uraraka, but now wasn't the time. He hesitated to say anything as Uraraka helped her out.

"Ochaco. Is she okay?" Midoriya asked her.

"Yeah. She's okay," Uraraka said back, "Just a little dizzy and nauseous from my quirk."

Melissa couldn't say anything as she tried to calm down from throwing up. Midoriya felt pretty good about them hanging out together now. Uraraka did just run all the way over here without any kind of quirk just to get help. Something about it made him feel like she was finally starting to forgive her for what happened. Then Uraraka looked up at him, and she looked a little worried about something. He knew that she wondered they were okay.

They still needed to talk about this, but he soon smiled at her.

Soon enough, she smiled back at him.

Outside the girls' restroom...

Midoriya and Uraraka brought Melissa into the school so she could freshened up. They could that Melissa still felt not the greatest, but she wasn't green in the face. Once they got her inside, they directed her right to the girls' restroom. She headed inside, and they both stayed outside of it to wait for her. There was a bench outside of it, and they both sat down awkwardly.

Uraraka felt a little embarrassed that she was feeling this way. This was her boyfriend, and she was feeling so uncomfortable talking to him. They seemed to finally be getting along now, but she still felt a little hesitant to say anything. She tried to look at him, but he wasn't exactly comfortable sitting with her as well.

"Ochaco... I--"

"Izuku... I--"

They both said their names at the same time, making them blush profusely. They looked away, embarrassed that this was even happening at all. She wanted to apologize, but couldn't get herself to say anything. She didn't know why, but she could tell that he too was a little awkward about it. She was about to play with her necklace, but then remembered that she didn't have it anymore. It threw her off a bit and started playing with her thumbs.

"Ochaco. I have something that I wanted to talk to you about," Midoriya said to her, "I'm sorry for the way I treated you. I shouldn't have gotten so upset back there during all of that. You were going through something, and I didn't even realize it. I know we talked about it before, but I still feel like I needed to say something to you. I know that you didn't mean to say those things to Melissa. You would never hurt anyone intentionally."

Uraraka right then and there wished that she said something before him. She felt so guilty about what she did that she couldn't get herself to speak up. She kept playing with her fingers and soon Midoriya put his hands over hers to settle her down. She looked up at him and saw two beautiful green eyes looking back at her. She couldn't look away as he held her hands.

"Izuku... I..."

"You don't have to apologize Ochaco," Midoriya said back, "It's okay."

Something about that bothered her and moved away from his hands. She could barely look at him once he said those things to her.

"No Izuku. It's not okay," Uraraka said back, "I... I said some things that I shouldn't have. You trusted me with... your secret. I know Melissa being quirkless has nothing to do with it, but I know that she means a lot to you because of this... secret. You trusted me to tell me about it, and then I go and blurt out stuff like this. I could end up blurting out things about your quirk if we ever get mad or fight about whatever. I don't want to mess that up."

Uraraka could tell that he was surprised to hear her mention all of this. She could barely look at him as she tried to get herself to face him.

"How can you trust me after that? I might blurt out something about..." Uraraka trailed off, almost bursting into tears.

Uraraka didn't hear any sort of response right away, which made her feel a little awkward. Then she felt Midoriya's hands hold hers, making her look at him. His smile warmed her heart, and she couldn't look away from him. She felt her heart skip a beat, but something about felt a little different. She could swear that she could feel something else coming up that wasn't hers.

It felt like Melissa's feelings were right there with her. Something about it however weren't as strong as hers, which made her smile at him.

"Ochaco. Why do you think I told you about my quirk in the first place?" Midoriya asked her, "I do trust you. All because we fought, doesn't mean that I don't still trust you. We've been through a lot before all of this. I wouldn't want this silly fight to get in the way of that. I just wanted you and Melissa to get along. Maybe you don't have to be friends with her, but I'm at least glad that you are willing to try. That's all I ever wanted."

Uraraka felt her heart flutter as she stared at him with such passionate eyes. She stopped herself from kissing him just in time. She almost forgot that she was still Melissa. She wouldn't want to kiss him as both Bakugo and Melissa. She had already been through this once, she was not going to mess it up again. That was just be too weird for him considering how weird this was already.

"Y-You... You really mean it? You still trust me?" Uraraka asked him with a slight blush across her face.

"Of course," Midoriya said with a smile, "I've always trusted you."

Uraraka couldn't look away as he looked at her with such passionate eyes. Something about it made her heart flutter, but something else came up. It felt like Melissa's feelings were starting to come up as she looked at him. It wasn't as strong as hers though, which made her feel a little more confident in herself. It happened again, but she could tell that they could get through this. They've through a lot together, and she knew that Midoriya wouldn't do anything to ruin it.

Soon enough, Melissa came walking out of the restroom. She looked like she felt a lot better.
