"Having escaped from Fission City's finest and avoiding getting captured. Kite man along with his friends were on the road traveling anywhere else from the authorities as well any masked heroes that would notice a trio of unusual men riding a motorcycle and swimming through the pavement. It was a shock for the swordfish and lobster creatures to leave Fission City since it was their birthplace and having memories of their past with their creator. Though it was better they left, otherwise they would eventually be captured by the police and taken in to be changed back to their aquatic selves. While the two were having a moment to think about their lives changing, Kite Man was still having trouble with what the next move would be once they returned to Gotham City."

Early Morning-Road

It had been an entire day of the three traveling on the road as Slobster continued riding his motorcycle having not a chance to stop for a break or to fuel his tank. Especially for Slash as he was unable to focus on using his nose drill as he accidentally turned right and hit a nearby sign which forced him to stop.

"For fucks sake!"

Shouted underneath the dirt as the swordfish dug himself up due to how he couldn't keep focus on how long they escaped Fission City and hadn't stopped to rest. Slobster saw his friend upset that it had been a while since the two had been this busy since Doctor Piranoid left them to fend for their own. Kite man saw the seaviates stopping and descending by the two as he noticed the tired look on Slash's face.

"Maybe. We should take a break and get something to eat, which is convenient since we're a couple of minutes away from the one place that'll welcome us."

Stated positively and pointed over to the billboard that showed them what was up the road for them. Central City, home to the Flash and the infamous villains that came here to now occupy Gotham City. Taking a look around seeing no sherries or cops nearby to notice them. They thought walking would make it easy to be not noticed, except for Slobster who didn't want to ditch his motorcycle.

"So are you like a big deal where you come from? Because we don't meet that many humans that seem threatening."

Slobster questioned the history of Charles's criminal background due to how back at their hideout they heard the cops calling out his villain's name. Hearing how he might sound 'threatening' to the Seaviates, Kite Man decided to entertain the idea of how he was like that to superheroes back in Gotham.

"I mean yeah, obviously I'm feared across the criminal underworld. Like this one time, I helped my friends out in fighting mutant trees and surviving a horde of aliens."

He started by listing several of the things he's done and survived during his stay in Gotham which had Slobster excited due to what could be in store for them. Slash himself wasn't amused since they had their share of strange things happening to them despite being a pair of sea creatures that were tossed away after their creator got bored of them.

"Sure. Aliens, like they would want to come to a dump like this. Furthermore, it's still farfetched about how a human battled creatures from outer space. Like if that's a thing that happens every day."

Stated that while Kite Man may have been able to help them escape from the cops and finally leave Fission City, he couldn't think of an advanced race unable to take out one human whose only gimmick is a kite. They continued the walk towards Central City as they had reached the limit and saw several people noticing them which showed no surprised response on seeing the three.

"I used to remember humans screaming whenever he showed our faces. Would it be like once we're in Gotham?"

Slobster asked Kite Man about when they'd make it to his home city, they'd receive this type of treatment and not freak out due to their mutated appearance. Nodding to the lobster's question on what it be like in Gotham, the trio noticed a nearby diner around the corner which it be the perfect spot for them to get food. Heading inside and grabbing some seats, they noticed several menus on the table and checked what they could eat.

"It's always good to have a morning breakfast after a long chase. Usually, I'd get blueberry pancakes with a chocolate milkshake to satisfy the chase."

Charles spoke about his favorite type of meal to have as they saw the waitress coming over and requesting their orders. With Kite Man getting his breakfast, Slash and Slobster ordered bacon and eggs since it had been a while since they had decent food. Continuing to watch the sights seeing if anyone would scream or call any superheroes to arrest them, Slash was skeptical about how quiet it seemed for them.

"I don't get it."

He questioned the scenery that neither Slobster nor Charles understood as their meals arrived by the waitress. Handing whatever money that Kite man had in his pockets to pay her, the swordfish was still bothered by how safe they were at the dinner.

"For someone who's 'feared' by criminals, I thought there'd be some trying to capture you for a reward. Has the world changed around us?"

Continuing to doubt that, unlike him and Slobster who came out of the building to do Doctor Piranoid's bidding to receive screams from the public. It had seemed that they weren't as afraid of them as before, or rather they had grown used to seeing anthropomorphic creatures or non-humans from time to time. Scratching the side of his fins trying to wrap around how much had changed around him and Slobster since their stay in Fission City, Slobster was focused on enjoying his food and looking at the television on the wall of a cop chase happening.

"Hey Slash look! Another cop chase is happening, and it's not about us!"

Shouted excitedly like as they watched what seemed to be a bank heist gone wrong as the police were chasing after the criminal team that Central City was homed to, The Rogues. Amongst the gallery was Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and Weather Wizard who were driving a bank truck across the streets and shooting off their weapons at the authority.

"That's why Slash. Despite my reputation, there's always someone getting the spotlight so I can do whatever I like without any worries."

Kite man spoke to the swordfish about why they weren't getting apprehended as the three got up from their seats and walked out to see if they'd come around to their location. It took only a couple of seconds before they saw the truck coming up with the villains driving it wildly around to avoid being stopped. Coming out of the driver's seat was Captain Cold who aimed his ice gun at the cops which froze quickly and hit several objects on the way which sent the cars flying in the air.

"Fuck!"

Slash shouted as he pulled Slobster out of the way due to him being distracted by the excitement happening in front of them. Avoiding getting crushed by the first car, Charles wasn't able to leap out of the way of the second car that was about to crush him. Instead of getting squished between the pavement and the metal car, he looked above him seeing the frozen vehicle suspended in the air by several ribbons wrapped around it. Flipping the car and placing it to the side, he got to see his mysterious savior it was a woman wearing what looked like an ice skater dress with her entire body glowing gold.

"That was almost close, but it's a lesson to always keep your eyes open to your surroundings."

The masked woman said to Charles before flying off to rejoin the Rouges as Slash walked over to help the man up since he was still speechless by his savior.

"Humans can fly now?"

Questioning the sight since there weren't that many flying humans in Fission City nor anyone who had that type of ability. Hearing sirens coming across the block, Slash took control of the situation and pulled the two out of sight since the authorities would think they helped the bank robbers. Running over to a nearby alley, Slobster was still starstruck by what he had just watched.

"We gotta get toys like those when we arrive at Gotham. Do you know anyone who has that kind of equipment?"

Slobster asked Kite Man if he had that kind of equipment back at his apartment as the man was still speechless by his golden savior. Shaking off from almost getting killed and noticing how the others wanted to know what else they should do, Kite Man was able to get his mind straight on what to do next.

"Sorry. I was out of it after the flying car, but that doesn't mean I don't have a plan. We're all fueled up and I got a better connection on my phone to get a map to Gotham. Now, we just need to wait and find an opening for us so no cops or superheroes notice us."

Suggesting an idea for their next move which Slash didn't trust due to how he fumbled the ball and almost got crushed by a cop cruiser. Seeing how he was the only one thinking about them getting out since Charles and Slobster were thinking their thoughts, the swordfish decided to check out the alleyway and noticed a mirror acting up, in which he saw his reflection disappearing and someone jumping out of it. The others heard the commotion and saw what looked like another member of the rogues with a mirror gun.

"Son of a haggis! Those bastards left me to handle that hot head of a hero and leave me with balls in my hand."

The masked man called out frustrated at him being left back and noticing Kite Man along with the two sea creatures by his side. They waved at him in an unsure gesture if they could avoid getting shot at with his unusual weapon, but they suddenly heard the sound of police sirens going off and coming near them.

"Shit. Look, as much as I'd enjoy sending you off to get caught. We could use some muscle just in case Firestorm comes by, so follow me!"

Announcing to the trio as he fired off his gun at another mirror which made an escape route for them as the villain made his escape through the mirror. Hearing the sirens coming closer and having no time to fly away, the trio ran into the mirror and leapt right through it as well as making a narrow escape before the police arrived to see no sign of Kite Man and the Seaviates.

Later-Rogue's Gallery Headquarters

Making their escape and having stolen around a million's worth of solid gold bars. The thieves were enjoying their victory in an abandoned still mill that was able to keep them from getting noticed along with being the perfect place to defend themselves from rival gangs trying to fight them.

"Why did you have to burn the wall at the bank? I could have used my electricity to destroy the security systems and made it easier for all of us."

Weather Wizard explained to his teammate Heatwave that the pyromaniac enjoyed burning things more than taking the easy route. While they were arguing, their leader Captain Cold noticed by the side the masked woman looking upset at the heist too for the property damage that they had.

"Come on Lisa. It wasn't that bad of a heist, also your ice-skating practices are helping the team out quite well."

He complimented her as she was his little sister, Lisa Snart. Her alias is Golden Glider due to her unique ability to glide against the ground and fly with grace and skill. However, their latest caper didn't seem to make her excited since there was an incident at the bank that involved her losing herself destroying half of the security systems, and injuring several guards.

"Tell that to those people I hurt. Sure, Rory and Mark don't give a shit since they enjoy fighting cops. But I don't, more or less lose control of myself whenever I try to help out the team."

She responded that there were rules to the team that made them go under the radar from heroes and not get arrested in an instant. They didn't kill anyone, no innocents got harmed, and they wouldn't steal from families that needed money. What made Lisa feel comfortable was that she was Meta amongst her brother's team since she had the power to make an astral projection appear and go on a rampage as it was uncontrollable.

"I think, I need some time away from this life. Maybe ease up from stealing and getting almost captured by everyone in town. Maybe take a vacation or something."

Lisa stated that while her brother was fond of the chase and thought it was best she'd leave Central City and go somewhere it would be great to think about how her life has been lately. Smart said nothing but patted his sister's shoulder accepting what she believed was best for her while trying to not respond to how he wouldn't be around to look after her. Before he could say a word, one of the mirrors on the wall started to vibrate as it showed Mirror Master stepping out and appearing annoyed for being ditched at the bank.

"Lousy sons of bastards. You're lucky that I'm nice enough to trap every one of you in the mirror dimension. But the Saints have shined down upon me on finding recruits for the Rogues that might be better than you lot."

He claimed as the villain kept the entrance open long enough for Kite Man and the sea creatures to make their way through the mirror which left Slash and Slobster confused about how they were able to travel without getting lost in the mirror dimension. Noticing the building they were in that of the villains they were seeing, Golden Glider recognized Kite Man as she had saved him from getting crushed by a car.

"You ordered seafood?"

Heatwave asked as Slobster and Slash growled at the pyromaniac for the comment and were ready to tear him into pieces. This didn't scare him as Heatwave pulled out his flame gun along with Weather Wizard preparing to aid his teammate in this peculiar encounter.

"Maybe we don't end up killing one another in a cool fight? We just avoided being captured by the cops and I think we all just need a breather. Right?"

Kite Man asked as he walked in front of the Seaviates because supervillains never made it out alive after fighting mutated animal creatures. With him stating that Weather Wizard took a minute to look at Kite Man trying to take him seriously since they weren't the type to talk but let their weapons do it for them. As he was about to use his wand at the mutant lobster and swordfish, he was able to figure out where he'd seen the kite-themed villain.

"Aren't you that guy at the wedding back in Gotham City? The one on Tawny Young's channel? The one who got dumped in front of half of the Legion of Doom and Poison Ivy?"

The wizard asked which left Charles to not respond toward him which left Heatwave to recognize him as well which left him to laugh loudly at how humorous the moment was. When Mirror Master heard that, he realized it was the same man who had his wedding ruined along with getting invaded by the GCPD. He laughed along with his teammates except for Captain Cold and Golden Glider since it wasn't entirely his fault since the company, he was with had drawn too much heat around him. Getting annoyed by the laughter, Snart fired off his ice gun in the air to silence the laughter since they needed to keep a low profile from getting noticed by anyone from the outside.

"Office room, now."

He pointed at Charles as he wanted to have a talk with him and no one else interrupting them since he wanted to have a chat with him. With that being said, Kite Man followed him to the office where he felt nervous since he didn't know if he didn't know what would happen to him. Meanwhile, Slobster was confused at the moment since he didn't understand why the others were laughing at the human.

"So. He isn't a dangerous criminal known across the underworld?"

Slobster asked the group if Kite Man wasn't the villain they had told him and Slash as the three men didn't say anything but chuckled at how Charles lied to him to get popular. While the two were being occupied by the others, Charles was in Cold's office where it showed several photos of him and his sister growing up with their criminal father along with their history of forming the Rouges.

"Now then. Tell me why I shouldn't freeze you here and let you drift off into the Atlantic Ocean. Because your face has been across the news after that crap in Gotham City, you're the talk of the town."

Snart questioned him that while he wasn't a high-class villain like Lex Luthor and Joker. He had escaped the GCPD along with being affiliated with Harley Quinn, but he was still considered someone that the police would be glad to capture and bask in the fame. Seeing how he was on the spot and had the ice gun aimed directly at his chest, Charles didn't want trouble from the Rogue's leader and his team.

"All I'm trying to do is get back to Gotham City without getting into any more trouble. I'm currently right now trying to find my path, maybe even be someone on my own without being considered a burden."

He responded to Snart with the amount of chaos that he'd been dragged into and trying to do better than before. While he wasn't the type to fall for dramatic talks about wanting to be different, Snart was talking to his sister about her desire to get out of Rogue's business. Putting the ice gun to the side and removing his hood and glasses, the leader wanted to be serious with Charles since this could be a way to benefit the situation he was in.

"I want to show you something."

Snart told him as he pulled out a small device from his desk which he pressed as the wall on the right side revealed a torn-up costume with the name 'ChillBlaine' on top as it belonged to someone that he knew. Kite Man didn't know how to respond to the weird presentation that was in front of him as it meant Captain Cold was trying to get somewhere with him.

"This guy dated my sister long ago. Seemed alright, enjoyed stealing banks and bringing her along the way. That was until he started to act aggressively with her, thought she was getting too popular with her powers. She came to me one night telling me he'd gone too far. It left me to have a 'talk' with him. And you can tell how it ended, yes?"

Explaining the story about what seemed like Golden Glider's ex-boyfriend and that he didn't take things lightly when it came to anyone messing with his sister. Kite Man nodded at the summary of how protective Captain Cold was of his sister and was still confused about where this was leading. The conversation was interrupted by laughter outside as the two looked out of the office to see Golden Glider doing several ice-skating moves to entertain her friends as the men cheered her on for how gracious she was being

"If I let you and your fish goons go, you take my sister and do something other than criminal activity. But if I hear about her getting hurt or about how she got upset. Then I'll freeze so bad that you'd make the Ice Age look like a picnic."

He gave him a deal since he wasn't interested in the criminal lifestyle like Lisa was. Meaning if Charles could keep his promise and not drag her into any type of trouble that'll be noticed by police or cops, he'd help him with getting out of Central City. Looking over at Golden Glider and becoming captivated by her flying, Charles couldn't take his eyes off her since he'd never seen anyone fly in the air with style and perfection. Snart slapped his forehead to see if he'd agree with the deal, which left Kite Man to nod as he promised to stay out of trouble. While that was happening, Slash could see the two men making their deal and growling about how he was lied to again like with their creator. It would have been best to leave and take his chances out in the open since no one thought he and Slobster were strange, but he'd have to wait till they arrived in Gotham before he could confront him about the lies that Kite Man told them about being a dangerous villain.
