"Having getting safe passage from Central City by Captain Cold and the Rouges to avoid getting captured by local authorities. Kite Man along with his friends and Golden Glider made their way to Gotham City under the cover of night to avoid being detected by the Dark Knight and his companions. While Charles was excited about coming home with new people he'd be able to spend time with, he happened to notice Slash not being in a talkative mood with him after Glider's former teammates let out the secret about Kite Man not being a well-known criminal back home. It made him unsure that either he or Slobster would stick around since if they wandered off on their own in Gotham, then they'd be taken off the street to either end up as lab experiments or be sold off as food for psychopaths a thing for seafood. He'd have to figure out a way to keep the Seaviates here while helping Golden Glider in finding a new start to avoid getting mixed up in criminal activity."

Night Time-Gotham City

Just as it was before when he left his wedding with Pamela Ivy and the others to fend for themselves against the GCPD.Charles kept up with his promise and managed to sneak the trio back to his apartment where his roommate had left and was now available to sleep in for the duration of their stay. Walking up the stairs and letting the trio in, they took a moment to check out the surroundings and how spacious the palace was. Slobster made his way to the couch where he got comfortable in the living room.

"Will be alright here for the time being. This apartment is perfect because it barely has any criminal activity happening and no major criminals hanging around the place."

Charles explained to them about their accommodations in being on the down low and not getting noticed by the next-door neighbors who would question the company that he was keeping. Slash said nothing as he walked over to the fridge and saw nothing but empty beer bottles and a box of half-eaten pizza.

"Like anyone would want to attack you since you were supposed to be this 'badass' man of crime. Only to learn that you're a human with a kite fetish."

The Swordfish creature called out on how he was upset with being lied to after the first human that he and Slobster trusted abandoned them to be in a town that enjoyed being in the Seventies. Not saying anything and cooking the pizza for himself, Slash partakes in the food and throws a slice to Slobster so he doesn't complain about getting anything to eat.

"I'm sorry if I ribbed you about being dangerous but that doesn't mean I'm not innocent. I've done my share of crimes that have worked out, honest."

Kite Man apologized to Slash and Slobster about being an infamous criminal here in Gotham City along respected and feared among his peers. While the lobster Seaviate seemed to accept the human's attempt to be sincere toward them, Slash didn't respond to him as anything he said wouldn't make up for being dragged half across the county to be brought here as muscle to get him noticed.

"Bite me."

Slash responded to the friendly villain as he wasn't in the mood for apologies and wanted to eat his pizza to help settle in with the new living arrangement he was in. Glider could see there was tension amongst the men and knew if they didn't get their act together then nothing would get done.

"Guys? While I might not know what happened before I joined the group, I know it's important to not turn against one another. Especially in a city that has one of the world's scariest men alive, the Batman."

She explained to them how dangerous it was to have an argument and break a team up in a city where its hero is feared by the criminal underworld as well as other superheroes. The Swordfish didn't say anything as well as Kite Man since he agreed with Glider that the last thing he'd want was to have trouble with his new friends.

"Then what do you suggest we do? There aren't that many places for someone like me and Slash to hang out at."

Slobster asked her if they were going to know each other better, they would have to do it somewhere that would allow them to get beverages and meals along not drawing that much attention toward them. The three tourists looked at Charles to see if he had an answer to this dilemma as he walked over to his wardrobe and showed them several coupons for a local pub that would be great to socialize in.

"I won these bad boys after winning several quiz nights by myself. These can get us limited drinks and wings, the best part of it all? For villains and criminals only."

He offered them a way to get their stomachs filled with food and drinks at the same time around people like themselves. Glider seemed content with the idea as well as Slobster since he wanted to eat something after the traveling they'd had during their journey to the city. Slash on the other hand wasn't falling for the idea as it seemed to be a way to forget about how Charles lied about being an infamous criminal, sadly. His stomach growled at the mention of food which left the Seviate to agree to join them to check out the place they'd hang out at.

"There better have some drinks to help make me forget about biting your head off for the lying."

The swordfish asked Kite Man if the bar was something that could satisfy his thirst and forget about being lied to and not eating him. Walking outside of the apartment with Slobbster following him, Kite Man was left alone in the room with Golden Glider to notice him upset with the predicament he was in.

"He doesn't like you that much."

She asked him about the unusual hatred that Slash had for Charles as he didn't know how to explain it to her since he had just met them several days ago. Making their way outside, the two noticed the swordfish seaviate had beaten up what looked like a masked thief as well as robbing him of his cash.

"I got him to tell me where the place is. See you there."

Slash informed the humans before walking over to a nearby manhole and removing it, the swordfish creature dropped in to travel on his own toward the bar. Slobster said nothing since he couldn't fit through the manhole, however, the two could tell that Slash needed some alone time in being lied to in coming to Gotham City. They made their way across the street as Glider and the crustacean decided to take in the sights of their new home.

"I'm surprised that Batman nor the GCPD are out now trying to catch us. Wouldn't we be taken in on the spot with us wearing our costumes?"

She asked Charles why out of all the heroes who could go toe-to-toe with the world's fiercest villains and monsters, he wouldn't be on constant watch and arrest any villains that were walking the streets. Kite Man said nothing as he showed a triumphant smile at the reason why they were safe with him as they passed by a nearby television store that was showing news about last year's invasion by Parademons.

"While not many people know it, I helped stop Doctor Psycho from bringing hell to Gotham City. Almost got my head bitten off by my friend King Shark, but he was mind-controlled during the time. Anyway, the Dark Knight himself has told me if I don't get into trouble. I'm free as a bird."

Announcing how he helped out in facing Darkseid's forces when his minions came to burn the city to the ground. They took a moment to watch the recordings on the television sets to see Kite Man screaming in fear of getting eaten by Nanue. They didn't say anything as they found him screaming to be numerous, deciding to continue searching for the bar. Lisa wanted to ask something else that he'd been involved in that was big and was shown on television.

"Not to open up any wounds but, have you been handling the situation that you're currently in at the moment? Being single and all?"

She asked in the most polite way possible since she'd heard about how devastating his wedding day was when it changed into a full-blown battle of survival for masked criminals escaping from the police. Charles could tell she wanted to know how he had been dealing with the separation from Pamela Ivy since she could see there was resentment for how he felt when he left the chapel and left his friends to fight the GCPD.

"It took me a while to think about what I had done when I left everyone. Along with that Ivy saw what I said was the truth, I wasn't the guy that was going to make her happy. This means there's a chance there's someone that I attempt to do, just don't know how to find that person."

He answered her question about how he was cooling with the moment to that of knowing there was potential in finding that special woman in his life that he could make happy. Lisa could see how honest he was in dating again to than marrying, she couldn't help but smile at his devotion to love as they heard sniffling coming from behind as it came from Slobster who couldn't help but shed a tear at the human's dedication.

"What? I caught something in my eye, it's not like there can be someone interested in a lobster that came from a beach town."

Slobster told them as the trio arrived at Noonan's Bar and could see it wasn't a grand place, the building was small and had cracks on the floor as it had been around for years. The three saw one of the manholes by the corner launching into the air where it was Slash who came out to clean himself from the swimming he did through the sewers.

"The sewers you gave down here look cleaner than this shit hole. But, I'm hungry."

Slash spoke out his opinion about the place and decided to go in with the group since he needed to fill his stomach. With the gang now together and heading inside to check out the bar, they could see an abundance of low-level villains and henchmen enjoying themselves or talking about their time working for successful criminals in Gotham's criminal underworld. Slobster sniffed at the food that was being served and rushed over to grab a table for the others as Kite Man would start them off with a couple of beers.

You have got to be fucking kidding me."

A voice spoke out toward Charles he was able to recognize who it came from but made him nervous since there were many individuals he helped Harley and Ivy with taking out infamous villains. Looking over at the table counter with a large mug of beer was the decapitated head of the Queen of Fables. The same woman that Harley wanted to be like to help Joker burn down Gotham City, the last he had heard from her was that nobody could find her head but the body remained back at Joker's destroyed tower.

"Fable? Wow, kinda surprised that you're alive. More importantly, you can drink from a jar without a stomach."

He responded to the bodyless queen as Kite Man had numerous questions on how she was able to perform this feat of being alive without a heart or a body. Fable chuckled at his question before taking another drink from her beer since it had been several years since they'd last met.

"I'm mortal. There's a reason I'm called 'Queen' of fucking Fables. Stories can never die, and neither can I. Can't say for the relationship you were going to have with the Olive Garden babe."

Fable told him that her immortality allowed her to keep going without the need for a body, though that didn't help explain how she was able to be here and be served a beer since there weren't any signs of her paying for the drinks. Before responding to the queen about her remark about his breakup, there was a cup being placed on the table where the two saw the owner of the established criminal bar, Noonan.

"Ease off him Fable. The boy just came back and you're already busting balls, especially how he brought himself some new folks into town."

He told her as his words were strong enough to make the immortal woman quiet which surprised Charles since he knew the kind of power the woman had at her disposal. However, he knew the owner who had been around for a long time and had his share in handling dangerous customers.

"Thanks, Noonan. I'm giving them a chance to get settled in at Gotham, maybe try and figure out what to do next since there's nothing at the moment in my life that's important."

Charles complimented him on backing him up in handling Fables since he was someone to talk to whenever a villain came in with problems they needed answered. The owner looked over at the new customers he had in his bar to see how they would fit in town, each of them showed a different personality that could help Kite-Man get out of the mood he was in after the wedding incident.

"Everyone has something important they have to do in their lives. Just a matter of finding it out, if not? Steal it."

Noonan offered him advice on what he could do now that he had a potential group of his own to hang out with and get to know better. While Lisa seemed fond of him for how friendly he was toward her, Slash was a different matter since he would rip him to pieces if he told another lie to him. Slobster? He was adequate with what was happening and fortunate to be in a new city away from his old home. Handing Kite-Man a plate with food and beer for his friends, he walked over to the table where he saw the others looking interested in getting their food. What Charles didn't expect was him being tripped by one of the patrons and spilling the drinks and food on the ground. Confused by the individual who had tripped him, Kite Man looked upward to see one of the few members in the Legion of Doom who would do small missions for Lex, Snowflame.

"Your ex-wife of a bitch had me canned out of the Legion after she ratted me out on doing lines in the office room. Now I have to do them at home, I get off from doing it in public!"

He blamed Kite Man for being fired from the group and having nowhere to do his bumps since his powers relied on him snorting drugs. Before he could respond to his accuser, Lisa, and the others walked over to help him up and looked at the white-haired man as well as questioned about his unusual powers.

"To help you two figure out what he meant. The guy snorts drugs to get his powers, which is snorting white powder."

Glider told them as Slash and Slobster were able to understand what that meant which left the Seaviates to laugh at how ridiculous it was for the human to do drugs to get his powers. Snowflame glared at the mutant sea creatures at how they were making fun of them to the point where he decided to respond with insults.

"Don't you two start laughing. I got a call about you two from this dumbass's apartment, and seriously? You two are disappointed in a fish tank. Your name is Slash and Slobster? That name belongs to people who know how to slash, I bet all you can do is jump around like a ballerina. And this big-mouth bastard? Get him a pacifier because I bet he's been sucking on everything before coming here."

Snowflame insulted the pair as Slash barred his teeth at what he said about his name which led to his nose starting to spin where he was about to drill a hole through his face. Seeing the swordfish lash out in anger, Snowflame grabbed a stool and smashed it against his face causing the object to shatter and blind Slash. Slobster roared at the human for harming his friend and decided to crush him with his claws, the white-haired man grabbed two shots of liquor and tossed it in the crustacean's eyes which caused him to collapse onto the ground.

"That's a waste of drinks there mister!"

Kite Man yelled as he grabbed the plate that carried their meals and slammed it against Snowflame's face causing the villain to fall right outside of the bar. Surprised by what he'd done and feeling scared that he didn't use his kite-based equipment, Charles walked outside to see if Snowflame was all right but noticed the villain getting up and looking mad.

"You busted my nose. Your fucking dead kite boy!"

He declared as he pulled out a small amount of powder he sniffed which made him flare up in white fire. Kite Man and the Seaviates stared at the man on fire as he was about to hurl several fireballs at them and burn them to ash, Snowflame was unable to throw one of them as several yellow ribbons flew behind the trio and grabbed Snowflame. Looking back and seeing Golden Glider angered by him attacking the boys, her body glowed in a bright aura as she let out a terrifying shriek that ripped Snowflame to pieces.

"I hate bullies."

She responded as Lisa's body lost its flow and was about to collapse on the ground but was stopped by Kite Man who didn't want her to hit the pavement. The masked woman left scared about how the others would think of her after what she'd done to the low-level villain, but she earned clapping coming from Slobster who was amazed by her powers.

"That was awesome. Do it again!"

He asked if there was a way to kill someone else who deserved it, though she shook her head since Lisa didn't seem to have good control over her powers. The swordfish seaviate was caught off guard by Kite Man breaking someone's body part and Golden Glider's killer instinct, he growled at seeing this sight and had to say something he'll regret.

"That was, pretty cool of you two handling that asshole. Can't believe I just said that, and maybe. You can show us around the city, and possibly help with a new name."

Slash admitted that after being taken down by a human with unusual power, Slobster and himself learned about handling themselves in Gotham and finding a new name that would suit him better than Slash. Charles smiled at how there was progress in having the two Seaviates adapt and trusting him to help during their stay here as he led them back into the bar where they could get their food again.

"He does have a point. You were cool when you broke his nose, if it's possible I can help you with how to do it without an object. As friends of course! Nothing too serious."

Lisa shouted by accident since she didn't want to lead him on and ended up messing with his heart after the breakup he might be dealing with. Kite Man didn't mind as he escorted her into the bar like a gentleman and would buy themselves a drink so they could get to know each other better, and possibly become better at defending themselves if he planned on being serious in Gotham City as well as his new aquatic friends.
