Chapter Fifteen
The plane landed a little over two hours later and a limo awaited them to take them to their couples only honeymoon resort.
"Oh Emmett, this is gorgeous," Althea said as the limo pulled up to the front entrance and they got out.
"How are you liking the desert so far?"
"I love it! I love the palm trees and the warmth and the mountains."
"Quite a change from back east, isn't it?"
Yes. I could get used to this."
Hearing her say that put an idea in Emmett's mind but he merely smiled at her as they went inside to check in.
"Your private bungalow suite is all ready for you, Dr. Brown," the check-in agent smiled at him as she handed him their key cards. She gave them directions and promised their luggage would be there shortly. When they arrived at the suite, Emmett unlocked the door and then reached for her.
"What're you doing?"
"It's customary. Just go with it," he chuckled as he picked her up and carried her inside, kicking the door closed behind them.
"I love it when you carry me," she giggled and kissed him.
"Good. It helps that you're not heavy," he grinned as he set her back down. As they explored the suite, their luggage arrived along with a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
"Emmett? What's this?" she called to him from the bathroom. He went in and saw her studying the rain shower outside.
"That's a rain shower."
'Why is it outside? And why is there one inside, too?"
"It's supposed to be romantic," Emmett chuckled, "or something."
"Can we try it?"
"Now?"
"Well not right now, but yes, at some point."
"Of course. Now come on, they sent us some champagne."
"I'm just going to slip into something more comfortable first," she said as she grabbed her bag.
"I like the sound of that. But don't be too long."
"I won't."
Ten minutes later, she came out wearing that same purple lavender satin kimono she always had, except what was underneath was the real prize.
Emmett poured them a couple of flutes of champagne and handed her one. In the background, her favorite Beatles song played.
"I believe a toast is in order," he said as he held up his glass.
"And what are we toasting?"
"The rest of our lives."
"I'll drink to that," she laughed as she clinked her glass against his and drank.
"C'mere, Mrs. Brown."
She put her empty glass down and took his outstretched hand. He twirled her around and pulled her into his arms.
"And to think this song started the ball rolling," he said.
"It's one of those songs that I connected to when I first heard it."
"It's a good one."
"The Beatles have a lot of good ones. House had quite a few of their records so he would play them for me."
"I heard vinyl is making a comeback."
Emmett twirled her out, and then back into his arms, wrapping them tightly around her as he kissed her. She melted against him and kissed him back, tasting the champagne on his lips, and on his tongue as it slipped against hers.
"I could just stand here and kiss you like this all night," she murmured against his lips.
"You could, but I'd think we'd get tired of standing for so long. It was a nice thought though," Emmett said with a smile and then looked at what she had on. "Do I get a peek under there?"
"Eager are we?" she giggled as she sipped the champagne and reached for a chocolate dipped strawberry.
"Am I that obvious?"
"Yes." She took another long sip. "I was thinking back to when I was betrothed to the Duke, and how I dreaded the wedding night because I knew it would not be a pleasant experience."
"Well you don't have to worry about that anymore," Emmett whispered as he leaned over and kissed her cheek softly. "Because tonight will be anything but unpleasant."
"I know it," she said with a smile as she fed him a strawberry. "These are so good."
"Yeah."
Soon, the bowl was empty and they went out onto the patio to watch the sun finish setting. "It's so warm. I love it."
Emmett nodded. "Would you consider living out here?"
Althea's eyes widened. "Really?"
"I've been toying with the idea. It's much more isolated. It wouldn't be hard to find a place far enough outside of town where nobody is around for miles. And seeing a DeLorean in town wouldn't be a big deal, compared to how people back home react to it. I took it into town once and everyone was staring at it like it was some kind of UFO."
Althea looked confused. "What's a UFO?"
"Unidentified Flying Object, like a spaceship. You know, aliens and all that claptrap."
"Ohhh the little green men with big heads?"
Emmett laughed. "Yeah, them."
"House used to watch movies about aliens. I thought they were boring."
"I've never been into those kinds of movies, either."
Althea emptied her glass and Emmett promptly refilled it. "Are you trying to get me drunk, Dr. Brown?"
He grinned at her as he filled his own glass. "Most assuredly, Mrs. Brown."
"This champagne makes me…giggle."
"It's supposed to."
He walked across the room and stretched out on the bed. "Comfy." He then patted the spot next to him and gave her his best "come hither" smile.
She took one long sip of the champagne, placed it on the side table and joined him on the bed.
"I know this might sound silly, but I'm nervous."
"It doesn't," he said as he reached for her hand and brought it to his lips. He then busied himself by kissing the tips of her fingers as he watched her with those deep brown eyes.
Althea's breath hitched when he kissed the inside of her wrist, up her arm, across her shoulder and finally nibbled at the base of her throat. She rolled her head back to give him access to her neck and he tugged at the tie of the kimono, slipping a hand inside to caress the soft satin nightie she wore underneath.
"Very nice," he whispered between kisses. "You always know what excites me."
"You're a very easy man to impress, Emmett," she giggled.
"It doesn't take much where you're concerned."
"That's because men are easy," she added. "You want to know the secret on how a woman really impresses a man?"
"Enlighten me," Emmett chuckled as he reached for his own glass of champagne.
"She shows up."
His chuckle turned into a full laugh as he sputtered and champagne went everywhere.
She laughed as he grabbed some tissues and wiped himself off. Putting his glass aside, he all but pounced on her, pinning her hands down against the pillows as he looked down at her with a predatory gaze.
"Naughty girl," he chastised her.
Althea merely smiled up at him. "It would seem you're in control now," she said as she arched her back, managing to thrust her pelvis against his. He glanced down and saw that her nightie had ridden up, exposing white lace bikini underwear. He reached down and gently stroked her, feeling her heat through the fabric. "Yesss…"
Now with a free hand, she began unbuttoning his shirt and stroked his chest. Emmett quickly removed his shirt and tossed it aside, kissing her as he covered her body with his. Her leg wrapped around his hip and she gasped as he ground against her core while he devoured her neck.
"Emmett…" she purred as he pulled the kimono from her and quickly tugged off her underwear, being careful not to rip them in his haste to get them off. "Touch me…"
"Where?"
"Anywhere, I just want your hands on me."
He placed a trail of kisses down between her breasts and across her stomach and paused. "
She groaned. "Emmett Brown, don't you dare stop!"
"Good thing, because somehow I didn't think you'd want me to stop doing this," he said and nipped her inner thigh, making her yelp. "Or this," he said as disappeared under the covers, continued to kiss a trail up the inside of her leg and dove in.
Althea cried out and gripped the sheet as Emmett feasted upon her. While she did enjoy oral sex, part of her couldn't help feel a little self conscious. It was such an intimate act. Thankfully, the feeling never lasted very long and she relaxed and gave into it. She had plans for Emmett later on, but for now, he seemed more than happy to please her.
"Emmett….so close…"
He took that as his cue to stop, leaving her just on the edge as he came out from under the covers and their bodies finally joined.
"God…Althea…" he whispered in her ear as he moved within her, slowly but deeply. His mouth was everywhere, kissing and nipping as he moved faster. His hands reached for hers and their fingers interlaced as they finally reached the point of no return. She cried out again as he collapsed on top of her, burying his face in the crook of her shoulder as he caught his breath. "Wow."
"Indeed."
Early the next morning, Emmett carefully got out of bed and decided to try the rain shower outside. It was already getting warm and the sun was just starting to come up. The water started out as a cool drizzle but eventually warmed up just the way he liked it. He'd just finished washing his hair when he felt arms slip around his waist and he yelped in surprise.
He looked behind him to find a very naked Althea next to him. She giggled. "I didn't mean to frighten you, Emmett. Showering without me, though? Tsk tsk."
"I didn't want to wake you. And I thought the main shower would be too noisy."
She slid her hands up his chest and linked them around his neck. "Still…"
She pulled his head down for a long, lingering kiss. "Good morning to you, too, Mrs. Brown," he said with a smile.
"It certainly will be, Dr. Brown," she said as she reached down and took him in her hand, causing him to hiss. "I had ideas for this shower."
"So I see."
She gave him a gentle shove against the stone wall and he watched as she slid down to her knees and continued to stroke him.
"Great Scott!" he yelped when she took him into her warm mouth. He wanted to watch her, but he couldn't keep his eyes open. His hand entangled in her hair as she took him even deeper, her hands gripping his hips as he bucked against her. "Jesus..Althea…"
His climax came quickly and took him by complete surprise and he slumped against the wall, glad there was a bit of a ledge for him to lean on. Althea looked like the cat that got the cream as she rinsed her mouth and let the water run over her. When she turned the water off, she took his hand and led him back inside.

"There's the blushing bride!" House chuckled when he turned up at their home a few weeks later.
"Greg? What are you doing here?" Althea asked as she came down the stairs to greet him at the front door.
"I called him," Emmett told her. "Remember I told you I was working on some things for House?"
Althea thought back and then nodded. "Oh, right. You mentioned you and House were going away somewhere?"
"That's correct."
"Where's Cameron? She didn't come with you?"
House shook his head. "No, she's visiting her sister for a few weeks in Chicago, so we, Emmett and I, thought that was the perfect time to go and test things out."
"You're leaving now?" she asked Emmett, looking sad. "For how long?"
"Three weeks. Don't worry, it'll be like I never left," he said as he softly kissed her cheek. "Besides, we can make sure the time machine is working as it should before I take you back to see your Father."
Her eyes widened. "We're really doing that?"
Emmett chuckled and kissed the top of her head. "I told you I would. Consider this trip with House a trial run. I'm taking him to get his leg fixed, and then bringing him back three weeks later so Cameron can help him recover when she's back in town."
"Wow, you've really thought this through."
"You can't mess with these kinds of things. The consequences of the smallest mistake could be disastrous."
"I understand. Well, be careful."
"Don't wait up," he whispered as he kissed her cheek once more. "I might be late."
She nodded, her eyes getting glassy and Emmett, knowing that look, gave her a hug. "Everything will be fine. I promise."
"I know."
"I'll keep him out of trouble," House said with a wink and a chuckle. "Come on, Doc. Let's roll."
Emmett hated to leave Althea but he knew she'd be fine, and he wouldn't be gone long. He planned to return that same night as promised.
Ten minutes later, she watched the DeLorean rise from below the guest House and waved at Emmett as he and House waved back at her and drove off down the street.
"Where do we take off?" House asked him as they drove.
"I'm driving us to the coast. It'll be dark by then and it'll be easier to fly over the ocean where there aren't any people."
"Makes sense."
A couple of hours later they were approaching the Atlantic ocean. "Got all your documents?" Emmett asked him.
"Yep. Everything's good to go."
Emmett flipped on the time circuits. "Time circuits on. Inputting destination, Baltimore Maryland, 4 O'clock a.m. Prepare for temporal displacement."
House braced himself as the DeLorean reached eighty-eight miles per hour and instantly blasted into 2060.
Althea was in a deep sleep when Emmett returned just after midnight and climbed into bed. He curled up against her back and wrapped his arm around her, falling asleep almost instantly, knowing that House was in good hands.
When she rolled over in the morning and bumped into Emmett, she opened her eyes and found him watching her.
"Morning," she smiled at him.
"Morning."
"How did it go?"
"Good. House is doing fine. I stayed two weeks to make sure all was well and he told me I didn't have to stick around and to go home to my hot wife. So here I am."
She laughed and playfully smacked his chest. "He did not say that." Then she thought about it. "Actually yes, I could see him saying that," she smiled as she curled up against him and rested her head on his chest.
"I missed you," he whispered. "I'm sure that sounds silly, since you just saw me yesterday, but it's been two weeks since I've seen you."
"I know."
"It's the longest I've been apart from you since we've been together."
Althea smiled and quickly rolled on top of Emmett and straddled him. "Well then, let me welcome you back."

"Althea?" Emmett called to her from the living room, and she emerged from the kitchen.
"Yes?"
"Come over here for a second. I want to show you something."
She went over to the couch and perched on the arm next to him. He had his laptop open and what looked like some kind of blueprint was on its screen.
"What is that?" she asked.
"It's a very rough draft of a house I'm thinking of having built."
She smiled. "Just for us?"
He smiled back at her. "Just for us. I know you liked Palm Springs, and it would be the best location as far as privacy goes. There's not a soul around for miles and we can build it to our specifications."
"Could we have a pool? And a hot tub?"
Emmett chuckled. "Of course. Anything else?"
"A huge kitchen made for a chef. You know how much I've enjoyed learning how to cook things I see on TV."
He nodded and agreed. Since they'd been together she'd proven herself to be a damn good cook, simply from watching the Food Network. "I think that could be arranged. What else?"
"That's all I can think of right now."
"Well you have time to think about it for another week. In the meantime, I need to go and get House from 2060."
"Oh, good. I hope everything worked out okay."
"You can ask him yourself when we come back."
