Bye bye! Here is my Young Prince's Adventure-story new chapter. See you in the next chapter.
Zhah! A deafening, loud sound echoed through the forest, scaring many of the animals that were still awake and waking up some of the animals. Some were so startled by the sound that they tried to protect themselves from it, and at the same time covered their ears with their hands so that they would no longer hear the sound.
"Mom, what was that?!" Adrien asked, as he laid his mother down beside on the floor of Rose's cave. Adrien had woken up because of the sound he had just heard. He had never heard such a sound before, but it was really loud.
Zha! Another rumble echoed through the forest, and then it started to rain, which sounded a bit like music, which made Adrien calm down.
"Well, it was a flash," Rose said.
"Flash?" Adrien asked looking towards the mouth of the cave, where exactly was that voice from heard.
"Yes. It's an autumn storm now, and in autumn times, and at other times of the year, sometimes lightning sounds. It is dangerous to walk in the forest during a storm, Adrien. That's, why we often stay safe at home during a storm. Sometimes a lightning strike on a tree can start a forest fires," Rose said.
"What are those forest fires like?" Adrien asked.
"Maybe you'll see a forest fire at some point. Your father has seen one, and I once escaped with my mother to a small island during that forest fire. I'll show you that island one day," Rose said. "That island is in the middle of a lake in the middle of a forest, so during a forest fire, the flames of the forest cannot spread to that island, because the water extinguishes the fire."
Khah! Zha! Lightning's, and thunder's the voices echoed through the forest again.
"Mum!" Adrien yelled, and tried to crawl under his mother to hide, afraid of the root heard of voices:
"Was that too the sound of lightning?"
"No, Adrien. It was thunder. The sound of thunder is often heard at the same time as the sound of lightning. That's part of the fall storm," Rose said.
"I don't like the fall storm," Adrien said shivering in fear, even though this was the first time, when he had ever heard thunder, and the sounds of lightning in the forest started during an autumn storm.
"I too was afraid of the sound of lightning at one point, when I was your age," Rose licked her son's head.
"Have you ever been a fawn, like me?" Adrien asked.
"Yes I am. During that time my mother, more specifically, your grandmother Elena sang me a song to calm me down. That song was called Little April Shower, and it always calmed me down, and the storm no longer seemed so frightening, when mom sang that song to me. Do you want, that I sing it to you, Adrien?" Rose asked.
"Yes mom," Adrien said, after he had thought about it for a while, and settled back down next to his mother.
"Okay," Rose smiled at her son, and began to sing:
"Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune
As you fall all around".
The number of raindrops gradually increased, and the air cooled a little at the same time.
"Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
What can compare
To your beautiful sound
Beautiful sound
Beautiful sound
Drip, drop, drip, drop".
Adrien listened to his mother's gentle singing voice, and gradually relaxed, although the sounds of the storm still scared him a little.
"Drip, drip, drop
When the sky is cloudy
Your pretty music
Will brighten the day".
The sky was covered with dark clouds, and the forest seemed a little calmer now, like a moment ago.
"Drip, drip, drop
When the sky is cloudy
You come along with a song right away
Come with your beautiful music".
The air got a little colder, and as a result Adrien pressed closer to his mother to stay warm.
"Drip, drip drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune
As you fall all around".
Rose looked up at the sky as she sang.
"Drip, drip drop
Little April shower
What can compare with your beautiful sound".
Adrien was starting to feel sleepy, and he closed his eyes, because now he believed he could sleep by listening to his mother's song.
"Drip, drip drop
When the sky is cloudy
You come along, come along with your pretty little song".
Rose lightly licked her son's head, and continued to sing.
"Drip, drip drop
When the sky is cloudy
You come along, come along with your pretty little song".
The rain got stronger.
"Gay little roundelay
Song of the rainy day
How I love to hear your patter
Pretty little pitter-patter
Helter-skelter when you pelter
Troubles always seem to scatter".
Adrien slowly began to relax.
"Drip, drip drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune
As you fall all around".
All at home, and the awake animals watched the rain.
"Drip, drip drop
Little April shower
What can compare with your beautiful sound".
Zhah! The thunder of lightning echoed throughout the forest.
The Friend Owl woke up in his home to the sounds of lightning, but then fell asleep again.
Rose looked at her son while smiling, as Rose stopped singing to see Adrien sleeping. Then Rose fell asleep.
