-Lauren's P.O.V-

"Where's Sienna?" Marko asked finally joining us.

"She's with Ashley" I replied, writing in my notebook.

"Really?" Marko asked in disbelief.

"She'll be fine! It wasn't Ashley's fault now was it. Besides, she needs to gain her confidence back and this is how she'll do it" I explained. I couldn't have her a prisoner forever. No matter how much I wanted to. "Anyway, I needed her gone because I need to discuss something with all of you"

"Don't worry bud, I wasn't comfortable with it either" Paul whispered to Marko. But I heard him. I rolled my eyes and placed down my notebook.

"Look. Sienna's birthday is in two days and I want us all to do something really special for her" I whined.

I thought about everything we could do and nothing seemed good enough. Especially because everything was limited to night time. I looked at the others puzzled expressions, looking back and forth at each other and shrugging. Hopeless...all of them. I frustratedly picked up my note book and flipped through the ideas I already had written down, giving them a second thought.

"I have an idea" Paul spoke up. "They're showing her favourite movie at the drive in, they're doing a little throwback thing. We could take her there, do a few rides on the boardwalk for old times sake and then I'm thinking you take her and that little friend of hers and go enjoy the night life. You know, take her to her first club" Paul suggested. For once, I liked his idea.

"Will she go to a nightclub though?" Dwayne asked.

"She will if Lauren goes" Paul answered. "I just think it'll be something different for her"

"I agree but me in a nightclub..you don't think I'd look out of place" I nervously giggled. It had been years since I had done anything like that. Paul scowled at me.

"Are you stupid? Babe you don't age. You'll fit right in" He reassured me. "But yeah take her friend.. what's her name? Andy?"

"Ashley" I corrected.

"Whatever" Paul waved me off. I glanced over at Marko who sat quietly, by the look on his face, he didn't seem too comfortable.

"Hang on, what movie is it because if it's that shit doll I ain't going" David blurted out. I looked at him in disgust, selfish prick.

"Yes it's Chucky...Child's Play 1 to be exact" Paul told him. David groaned in response.

"Well it's not about is it? It's about her, so we are going" Marko fired at David.

"Damn for someone who doesn't.." David began to joke but was cut of by Paul.

"David, don't even go there" Paul warned. David chuckled.

I was happy with the plan and grinned to myself. I wanted her to have a birthday she would truly enjoy. Perhaps this was also motivated by fear that this might be our last chance to celebrate together. For the most part of the week, Paul and I talked about our predictions for her choice. Paul noticed my growing anxiety over the weeks. No matter how hard he tried to hide it, I knew he felt the same way. David attempted to have a group discussion about it, but it wasn't very successful. Marko's approach was to ignore the conversation in the hopes that it would go away. He had no interest in participating in it. Dwayne categorically declined to. I closed the notebook and rested my head on Paul's shoulder, he started stroking my hair.

"When is she coming home?" Paul asked.

"I told her we'd be meeting her at the boardwalk" I replied. Paul pat my head, signalling for me to get up.

"Ok let's go now" Everyone but Marko got up and walked towards the entrance. I told Paul that I'd be out in a second and went over to Marko.

"Is everything ok?" I asked him. He looked up at me and nodded without saying a word. I sighed and sat beside him. I pulled him into a hug which he gladly returned. "Come on, let's go get Sienna, I know she'd want to ride back with you"

-

"You're Sienna's mom?" Ashley asked in disbelief, her mouth hung open slightly. She looked amazed and I had never felt better about myself. There were definitely perks to being a vampire and this was one of them.

"That's right" I managed to quickly find both of the girls. I came over to ask Ashley if she would accompany us on Sienna's birthday. I already conned a couple of bucks from Paul before sending the boys off to grab gifts for her secretly. I knew full well the girls would need outfits if they agreed.

"You don't look a day over twenty!" She exclaimed.

"Why thank you"

"What's your secret?" I looked over at Sienna who was using her hand to hide her smirk.

"Can't say otherwise it wouldn't be a secret" I winked. "So, is everyone ok with the plan?"

"Sounds great" Sienna replied.

"I'm definitely there; oh I can't wait now!" Ashley squealed. "I need a new outfit" My eyes widened for a second. Lord have mercy, she better not be this annoying when we go out.

"You and me both" Sienna mumbled.

"Well we better get some shopping done then" I smiled pulling out my purse, both girls began to beam with excitement.
