Meanwhile as Velvette made her way to the hotel, Charlie paces anxiously in the lobby.

"Okay, this... this isn't a problem, right? RIGHT!?"

Vaggie grabbed Charlie, feeling how tense she is.

"Charlie, you need to calm down."

"Hard to calm down when TWO SERAPHIM are in my hotel!" Charlie said, pointing at the two angels

Emily pauses from tending to her big sister's injuries.

"In all fairness…it WAS supposed to be just ONE seraph not two."

"That doesn't help Emily!"

"Okay, how about we just go wait for your sister outside. A little air might do you good." Vaggie said.

Lucifer peeks out from behind Emily, also helping heal Sera's wounds.

"That's not a bad idea, Maggie. Char-Char go get some fresh air Amelia and I can handle this." Lucifer said.

"It's Vaggie…"

"And my name is Emily…"

Vaggie looked at Charlie.

"Why is he so bad with names?"

"I think he hit his head when he fell."

Velvette sneaks in and makes her way over.

"I would not be surprised." Velvette said.

"VELVETTE!" Charlie hugged her "When did you get here?"

"About three m-"

She stops and stares at the new guests. Emily looks up and waves.

"Hello!"

"Charlie."

"Yes?

"You failed to mention there was MORE than one guest. … And that they are BOTH SERAPHIM!"

"Well… it all happened so fast, I guess I sorta forgot that part."

Emily frowns looking down at her own sister and gently runs her hands over where the wings should be.

"It happened…so very very fast." Emily said.

"Hi Vel-Vel!" Lucifer said.

"Hi, dad, can you tell me what happened?"

"The meeting went wrong… Emily's hands drop to her sides."

"I was trying to make a plea for the case you had made before…it was going well at first. But something changed. I'm not sure what but the elders stopped everything and called for a trial…they spoke amongst themselves and decided that I was guilty of treason for questioning heaven's morals. They…"

Emily shudders and hugs herself.

"They were going to cut off her wings."

"I didn't have time to react but Sera…"

"Sera shielded her from the blow."

"I… I don't actually know what to say about that. I knew heaven was shit, but to do something like that?!"

"Emily is right though…something changed. The elders were open to the idea. It's like a switch flipped. I need to do some investigating…the way the elders switched on a dime was so…familiar." Lucifer said.

"And how are you going to do that? It's not like you can just go up there."

"I know, but I still have hundreds of books on Heaven, I can find something in them."

"Is there anything about angels growing limbs back after they were cut off from angelic steel?" Emily asked.

"Uh… I'll go find out. Just, try and make sure she's alive when I get back."

"She should be fine since we got the bleeding to stop."

"Vel, do you have anything that will help them blend in but still be comfortable for them?" Charlie asked.

"Well I can try and work my magic, but seeing as one of them is 13 feet tall and has hair that weighs more than me, it might not work." Velvette said.

"OH! Sorry I'm maintaining our glamours at the moment. Her hair is actually much shorter now. Mine is too, it kind of burned up a bit during the fall."

"Okay... follow me, I'm not doing this in a lobby."

"Ok!"

Emily scoops up Sera as best she can and carries her as she follows Velvette.

"Charlie, make sure no one comes in and sees this, do you have any idea what could happen if these greedy bastards learn there are Seraphim angels in hell?"

"That's easy enough and also why I asked for your help with their clothes."

(Line Break)

Velvette went to... one of the many empty rooms... and looked at what she had to work with.

"Is she even alive, I'm starting to get worried that you're carrying a corpse around. Even by hell's standards that's a bit weird." Velvette asked, pointing at Sera.

Emily glares and pouts at Velvette.

"She's still breathing. The only reason I'm able to do anything is because she protected me from the moment the elder's verdict was announced to the moment we hit the ground."

"Okay, put her on a bed, I can't do much about helping with that, but I can at least see if I can make you two more... demonic looking."

Emily looks away and drops the glamours.

"You don't have to worry about that."

The smell of burnt feathers, hair, and flesh saturates the air. Purple sclera with yellow slitted pupils me meet Velvette. A pair of small horns sprout from her forehead as her wings turn black. The long hair disappears into a short pixie bob.

"... Oh damn... that's a smell I didn't need to know of." Velvette said.

"Sorry, it can't be helped at the moment."

"Yeah, I guess not... huh... well... guess I should figure out what colors work with this demon look of yours."

"Maybe some violets and blacks?"

"Alright, I can work with that."

"Thank you, for helping us."

"I mean, you are kinda family, so... feels like I have an obligation to."

"Oh uh…sorry? I don't know…it been a crazy day!"

Emily forces out a laugh to try and sound cheerful.

"You have no idea who I am, do you?"

"I was the seraph of joy…there's only two people who I have met from hell before all of this…but if you mean the fact that you are Charlie's half-sister, then yes. I overheard her calling you."

"Yep, and dad called your sister his sister, so... I guess that kinda makes you my aunt."

Emily's face scrunches up at that.

"While that is true…it feels weird for you to call me aunt…probably because I'm the youngest. Cousin has a better ring to it."

"Whatever, we're family. So, nice to meet you, I'm the Bastard of the family."

"I'm Emily…Lucifer's replacement…"

"... There are so many jokes I could make about what just happened with that information."

"Adam probably beat you to most of them."

"Like how the apple doesn't fall far from the tree?"

Emily grimace at that one.

"Yes…and now that hits a little too close to home."

"I mean, I'm sure it's not that bad, Dad said that fallen angels are stronger than normal ones. They get all their angelic power as well as a few demon powers. Passed a few down to Charlie and I as well."

"Like shapeshifting?"

"Oh, there's more than that."

Velvette held up a hand and fire formed in it. Emily's eyes lit up.

"How exciting! I cannot wait to find out what I'm capable of!"

She squints at Velvette as though trying to recall something.

"Uh... you good?" Velvette asked, very confused.

"… Have I seen you before?"

"I mean... I am on a few billboards around Hell. I control social media in the entire Ring. Not to mention I am the daughter of Lucifer, so there's a chance they talk about me up in heaven."

"No…you just…strangely match Saint Peter's description of someone."

"Ugh, that annoying twat." Velvette said.

"Oh…OH! That was you!?"

"Yeah, I was born half human half demon, so when my mortal body died I ended up there somehow. The second St. Fuckwit found out I had Morningstar blood in me, he sent me right the fuck down here."

"… … … WHAT!?"

Purple flames EXPLODE from Emily and engulf her.

"HE NEVER INFORMED SERA AND I OF YOUR ARRIVAL!"

"Well, guess they didn't want to let anyone know of the bastard child of Lucifer."

Emily takes deep breaths to calm herself.

"… Sorry about that, I lost my temper."

Sera groans and shifts.

"Looks like someone is waking up."

"SERA!"

Emily rushes over quickly checking everything. Sera slowly opened her eyes

"…Emily…are you okay?…"

"I'm more worried about you."

"…I'll be fine… …em…your hair…your wings…..I'm so sorry…."

"I'm fine, I'm not the one bleed all over the place."

"…..your wings are burnt though…I didn't protect you enough." Sera said.

"You did more than enough."

Sera groans and sits up sharply inhaling from a jolt of pain

"W…where are we?"

"we're at Charlie's hotel."

"…right…we fell…" Sera notices Velvette, "… You seem oddly familiar, have we met before?"

"I'm Lucifer's bastard child, you probably heard of me."

"… PETER YOU ABSOLUTE IGNORANT MORON!"

"Well, I'm here to help disguise you two for hell… but I could call up aunt Belphagor and have her come give you a proper treatment."

Sera takes a deep shaky breath and turns to Velvette. A slowly growing horn rests in the middle of her forehead as a spaded tail flicks about in irritation. Tired eyes the match the color of Emily's meet white and crimson eyes.

"I will be fine…so how drastic is the change?"

"Well, the small one has horns and shit."

"And my ch-" Sera rubs her forehead and feels the horn coming in, then notices her talons, "Oh…"

"Could be worse, my limbs can come off." Velvette said.

"We're still maintaining a more human form."

"Well, you should drop it, that would make you stand out... well, more than being immensely tall."

"I don't think that's a good idea…" Emily said.

"Then what do you suggest?"

"We're going to have to let our new features happen naturally…we just need new attire…"

Velvette snapped her fingers

"Ooohhh!" Emily said.

Sera was just shocked.

Velvette had given Emily a purple and black long sleeved shirt, black pants, black belt with a chains on it, black boots. Sera meanwhile, got a very high-end outfit. Black suit pants, black vest with purple flower design on the collar, white dress shirt, purple tie, black suit jacket with purple flower design, and a black bowler hat.

"There, what do you think?" Velvette asked.

"I love it! It's so pretty and cute!" Emily said.

"It different, but it will do." Sera said.

"She means she likes too." Emily interjected.

"She better, I've gone my entire time down here hiding my true identity in order to make it where I am the hard way. I'm the most fashionable person in the entire ring."

"I wouldn't doubt it one bit!" Emily said, with a squeak.

'This girl squeaks.' Velvette thought, kinda shocked.

"Great, I'm going to go talk to Charlie now." Velvette said

As she opens the door Charlie falls into the room.

"… Hi Vel! I DEFINITELY wasn't eavesdropping or anything!"

Velvette let out a groan.

"Charlie, I need you to keep an eye on them and tell them how hell operates, you've been here for over 200 years, you'd do a better job than I would."

"Well, I was going to offer them some jobs here to help them get used to hell, and give them a place to stay."

"Really?! You hear that Sera, you can still do paperwork at a desk job!" Emily said.

"At least there's some semblance of familiarity I can find." Sera said.

"We need to come up with a cover story for you guys! Oh! Maybe something like Carmilla!" Charlie said.

"... Why does that name sound familiar?" Sera said, putting a hand on her chin.

"Well, while you deal with that, I have to get going." Velvette said

"So soon?! You've barely been here for thirty minutes."

"I have a job, and I need to make sure that the other overlords know that these two are off limits. I don't need any of them trying to make deals with these two."

"What if we just say Sera's a new overlord?" Charlie suggested.

"You can't just say that! She has no souls, no power, no nothing! You can say she is, but once the others find out she isn't... let's just say last time someone tried that, it didn't end well for them."

Sera bristles up.

"I beg your pardon?! I may have fallen but I am STILL the high seraph! If ADAM could beat that deer overlord and MY BROTHER could beat ADAM, I would say I'm almost as powerful as him." Sera said.

"Judging by the heat I felt from outside the room I'd say that sounds about right." Charlie said.

"It's not just about strength, you have no souls under your control." Velvette said.

"We can say she has mine, right?" Emily asked.

"That's not how that works, you need to actually sell your soul to her for that to work." Velvette said.

"Okay, I'd rather she have it. She is going to be more cautious about everything anyway." Emily said.

"And I can always give it back." Sera said.

"Fuck it, fine. Tall, Dark, and Feathery, hold out your hand towards the tiny one."

Sera hesitantly holds out her hand.

"And then I shake my sister's hand?" Emily asked.

"Not exactly. She needs to focus her power into making a soul contract."

"A contract? Why didn't you lead with that?" Sera asked.

Sera summons a black piece of paper and quill. Multiple eyes open up all over Sera and glow with her power.

"... Damn that looks cooler than mine." Velvette said.

"Eyes are a seraph thing."

Emily reads over the contract before signing it. Sera holds out a hand and Emily shakes it.

"There you go, you're now an overlord, a very weak one, but still one."

"That's true!" Charlie said.

"My sister is a seraph as am I, I doubt that quantity trumps quality." Sera said.

"That's also true." Charlie said.

"The more souls you have, the stronger an overlord, that's how that works down here. Now if you don't mind, I have to go." Velvette said.

"Can I visit?" Emily asked.

"… What?"

"You go ahead sis! I'm going to explain hell to Emily some more!" Charlie said.

"Alright, have fun."

Velvette made it to the lobby, where Vaggie sits, sharpening her spear.

"How's the flat faced idiot?"

"You mean Vox? He's… Vox, not much else to say, why?"

"He seems nosy."

"He is, but I'll make sure he doesn't try anything, don't worry."

"I'm worried about him getting too curious about you."

"Don't worry little angel, I can handle this."

"You have a similar problem as Lucifer does with using names."

"I only call you Little Angel because I know it pisses you off. As your soon to be younger sister in law, it's my right to do so." Velvette said with a matter of fact tone.

"And I compare you to your dad because I know it annoys you to be seen as a copy." Vaggie said with an equal matter of fact tone.

"See we're honest with each other, we're improving! Now I do have to go, I have to make sure tweedle dee and dumbass don't fuck things up here."

Vaggie smirks as she heads out.

"Tell Valentino to choke on his bug zapper of a boy toy when you get back for me."

"Bold of you to assume I wasn't going to do that already."

And with that, Velvette walked out of the hotel.
