Chapter two, Nov 2017, Port Charles
The last several years have been emotionally exhausting between Jake's "death", Jason's "death", Jason and Sam getting married, Sam having his baby, "Jason's" return, and Elizabeth keeping it a secret because she felt he finally put her first and he could finally love her and not abandoned her like Lucky did when he had to go find himself after his wife's death and children he promised to love and raise, becoming the town's pariah as if they have not done worse things, and she never admitted the truth about Elena's paternity. What was the point when Jason was never going to love her the way she deserved by putting her first so she found love with a man who had a violent past but at least he had a reasonable excuse the tumor made him do it and he seems remorseful for his actions? If someone were to ask her if she thought that in less than ten years her son would come back from the dead and so did his father and let's not forget her son was brainwashed. What the hell is she doing here looking at the man with Jason's old face after she was shot and after he beat up the man she loved? There is a voice in her head that says that is Jason but he looks and feels different.
Elizabeth says " I had to see you to see if this is even possible." Jason stares at her intensely and responds " Hello Elizabeth, It is good to see you, and yes it is me, Jason." Elizabeth says " Jake told me that he saw a man with his dad's old face" Jason leans forward as he holds the bars " Yes that was me. I was cutting through the park and he was too young for Cameron and the voice did not sound like a little girl's and then I whispered his name." Elizabeth says " He said you smiled at him." Jason replies " He is as beautiful as he was like the day he was born. I remember holding him in my arms and telling him I was his father and seeing Lila's eyes staring back at me. You whispered my name and I placed our son in your arms and it was the most beautiful thing seeing the woman I love holding our son. He looks good and well-adjusted. Elizabeth inhales her breath and she knows it is him by the way he says her name." He was kidnapped by Helena and she staged it to torture Luke." Jason replies " I was informed of that, yes." Elizabeth asks " Is Sonny going to get you out of here?" Jason's hands grip the bars and says "No but Diane stopped by and wants me plead insanity but I am not insane I meant and enjoyed it" Elizabeth is taken back " Franco only did the things he did because he had a tumor and he has changed and he is good to me and my kids." Something flashes through Jason's eyes but he remains quiet. Elizabeth continues " Listen I am not here to defend my relationship with Franco and he did not want me to tell you, but you should know because I made a promise I would be honest according to Betsy there were twins but there was a death certificate on baby boy Moore. When " Jason" came back we thought he was someone else and we connected and then Nikolas told me that Jake Doe was Jason and I chose to keep it a secret and I thought it was our only chance. I clung to him because I was still in some pain from thinking Jake was dead and I held onto him like a life raft." Jason says " I understand you were in pain and needed someone. I hope you forgive yourself and not hold onto that forever. But the real reason you were able to keep that secret is because deep down you knew he was not me. You know I have always been somewhat mechanical when I would sleep with Sam so I am not surprised she believes that this guy was me but you knew better. He was nothing but a poor substitute because to be honest with yourself he did not move like me, he did not feel like me, and he did not stretch you out like me. No one, not this other guy, not Franco, not AJ, and not Ric will ever be me." Elizabeth feels a myriad of emotions including lust but once that clears she becomes confused about how he knows about AJ. Just as she is about to ask him Diane comes in and breaks the moment and Jason says " Elizabeth tell our children I said hello and I will see them soon." Elizabeth walks away and is nervous about so many things including who had Jason all these years and when he says our children does that mean he knows about Elena? She needs to get her ducks in a row and come up with a plan of attack because she refuses to go down that road again.
