Quartermaine mansion, breakfast
After Jason left last night she told them she would be back tomorrow morning for breakfast and that Jason would be here at 12 to take out for lunch and then to the motorcycle shop. She needed time to herself and she could not even go home so she went to the gym and worked out her frustrations and then slept in the on-call room and just showered and got dressed there. Today was it Edward, Cameron, Monica, Elena, and herself since Tracey had slithered to only God knows where. She barely finished up her plate when she felt a small hand on hers and it was Elena. " Hey, mama are you okay?" She is such a sweet girl she may have looked like a mini but when she smiles she looks like her father and when she protects her brothers she sees his spirit. Elizabeth responds " I am okay sweetie but I need to tell you and your brothers something okay." The entire table goes quiet and waits for her to continue " Elena I want you to know you did nothing wrong and that I did not tell you this because I thought I was doing the right thing but turns out it was the wrong thing and for that, I am very see you and Jakey share the same biological father do you understand what that means." Cameron and Jake gasp and Elena looks confused. Elizabeth says " Biological father means that it helped create you just like me." Elena starts to understand and asks " So that means that me and Jakey share a daddy and that means Danny is my brother like Cameron is and that means that Grandpa Eddie created Grandpa Alan and then Grandpa Alan created daddy and Daddy helped create me." Elizabeth says " That is right sweetie you are so smart." Elena asks " Did Daddy Jason not want me like Daddy Lucky?" Everyone's heart breaks at that and Elizabeth says " Jason is not like Lucky. When Jason gives his word he means that he loves you, Cameron, and Jake very much. He does not care about biology and biology does not always make a family. Like how Grandma Monica adopted Daddy Jason but she loves him so much just like she loves you and your brothers. Nothing has changed but it will get better and it's okay if you are mad at me or want to wait to get to know your dad." Elena says " I am not mad at you mama I know you love me and I believe you. I want to get to know Daddy Jason because he is nice and pretty cool." Elizabeth thinks she is taking this better than she thought and she forgave her. Now she has to work on Jason's forgiveness. She looks at Cameron and Jake and asks if they have questions. Cameron says " I think it is pretty cool and I like him but calling him dad might take a while." Jake responds " I think it ok and we can both get to know him." Elizabeth says " By the way he bought a house and everyone will have their rooms when they visit but no rush you can take your time and I promise he won't be offended if you want to wait. When you are ready you can even pick out your decorations. Whatever you want." Elena asks " But if we visit him then you will be all alone mama would that be okay?" Elizabeth says " I will be fine and besides most of the time he has you I will be at work and I am not working then I will be with Franco so do not worry about I can take care of myself." Her phone rings and it is Jason and she picks up " Hey I was just talking about you." Jason replies " I was wondering if I could by earlier instead because there is something I have to do but it is not until tonight." Elizabeth says " Of course, we are actually at your family's house having breakfast and we are almost done." Jason says " Good I will be there in ten minutes see you soon." They hang up and Elizabeth says "Jason will be here in ten minutes so finish up your breakfast and then we will be waiting until you guys are done." Jason finally arrives and the kids grab their coats because they were too excited to finish breakfast. Jason walks over and Elena walks up to him and he bends down on one knee. Elena studies him and Jason is in awe of her. She is a mini Elizabeth with curly dark hair and sapphire blue eyes but her nose and her jawline are his. She must have found something in him because she hugs him and he slowly lifts them and she looks at him again and speaks " Is it okay if I call you Daddy because mama says you are my daddy too like Jakey and Danny and I believe her because we have the same nose and we both have blue eyes but so does mama." Jason swallows deeply and answers " I would love it if you called me that and you have the same pretty eyes as Mama." He bops her on the nose and she says " You are silly Daddy and ooh you have the same hands as Jakey just like me excuse you are huge. Do you think I will be tall like you or short like Mama because sometimes she has Cammie to reach for something when she can't?" Elizabeth says " Hey missy there is nothing wrong with being short." Elena says " But Mama I want to be able to reach stuff and ride rollercoasters and do stuff tall people do." Jason steps in " I don't know if you are going to be tall or short but you will always be daddy's princess and I think this time we get daddy's princess her helmet and cool motorcycle jacket." Elena claps and says "You all heard Daddy it is time to get a move on it." Jake says " Hey who put you in charge peepsqueak." Elena says " Uh duh Daddy did it because I am a princess so ha." Jason laughs as they leave carrying Elena but he makes a comment: " Someone is bossy like their mommy." Elizabeth says " I heard that and I am only bossy when someone does not listen and eat their soup." He loads them into his fully equipped, bulletproof SUV decked out with seat warmers, DVD players, headphones, and of course a booster seat for Elena. He nods to the guards in the other car and they are off. Damn, he knew he forgot something like explaining that he has guards and so will they and is going to have to tell Elizabeth about the guards he set up in the house next door and across the street. She will be pissed but he does not trust Franco and maybe he will hold off that and let them enjoy the day. Elena is in her little world watching some cartoon with her cute little headphones Cameron is playing with his Nintendo switch that Grandma Monica bought for Christmas and Jake is watching everything around him. Ever since he came back she has tried to make sure he gets to be a kid and for the most part, he is but when he is in new surroundings and new people he focuses and watches everything as he studies it. Jake says " Hey Mom, why is there a car following us?" Elizabeth conveniently forgot with everything going on to have this conversation and really Jason should be answering this but a mother's job is never done. " Well sweetie your dad here is a very successful and powerful businessman and we talked about how there are bad people in the world and your dad is just overprotective so he has bodyguards to watch out for us. He works in a very competitive field." Jake says " I understand like since we go to private school and I see kids with guards sometimes like my cousin Michael's sister avery has them because her of daddy right?" Jason says " Yes that is right and her dad and I are business partners so when you go to school from now on you will have protection." Jason asks " Why do I have a feeling it was not your idea to send them to private school?" Elizabeth says " Well I was against it originally but decided to stop being stubborn and their Grandfather was very helpful." Jason imitates Edward " As you know my dear it is Quartermaine tradition to send our young heir to only the best schools and the best is Port Charles Academy. It Is perfect because I am on board and I will not hear otherwise." Elena has since joined the conversation " You sounded just like Grandpa Eddie." Everyone laughs at Jason's imitation and they arrive at the Motorcycle shop. He called ahead and had the shop reserved for them only. As they enter Jackson greets them: "Welcome everyone Mr. Morgan here tells me that some very special people want to create their jackets and helmets, is that right?" Everyone nods happily and Jackson says " You have all come to the right place and Stacey here is going to help customize the helmets because she is the best and my partner Kevin is going to help with your jackets and have fun." They all brought their ideas for designs with them and they all agreed to do their helmets first and decided not to show their parents because they were surprised. They are there for a longer than expected so Jason had one of the guard make a food run and they are in the conference room eating. Elena asks " Daddy where is everyone?" Jason answers " The man who owns the place is a friend of mine and I just wanted it to be our family today." Elena says " That is so cool can you do that at other places like arcades or amusement parks because Grandpa and Grandma do that sometimes when we sleepover and go places." Jason says " I can do that if that is what we all agree on." That seems to satisfy her and as they finish up thier lunch Elizabeth phone rings and she sees that is Franco who is in New York City and she steps away " Hey how is your trip going so far?" He answers " I think I found the inspiration I am looking for and I even found the perfect place for us to get married in. We should take a trip here so you can see for yourself." She gulps and says " Sure we can definitely figure something out." He asks " What have you been up too besides missing me?" She rolls her eyes at that but plays along " I am just hanging out with the kids today and we decided to get them customized jackets and stuff." Franco asks " Whose we?" Damn it she has to be more careful. She replies " Well Jason wanted to get them customized jackets and helmets since they love motorcycles and we want them to be safe." Franco asks " Do you think that is wise having them be around a stranger?" Elizabeth says " They are my children and their safety is always my priority and they are literally riding in a side car is not they are driving the thing and I wanted your opinion on my children I would ask for it. Look I do not want to argue so enjoy your trip and I will see you tomorrow night." Franco says " Fine I do not want to fight I love you see you tomorrow." She says it back and feels guilty because she sees the look on Jason's face but he quickly covers it. There is a knock on the door and the two guards carrying the boxes with their stuff inside. Jason had already cleaned off the table and he thanks them and the boxes have their names on it. Elizabeth asks " Wait a minute there is a box with my name on it. Whose idea was this?" Jason says " Well before I left last night I talked to the kids and we wanted to surprise you as well so go ahead and take a look." Elizabeth smiles and opens her box like a kid on christmas and her kids laugh at her but she doesn't care. She opens the box with the helmet first and it has the symbol that represents nurses on one side and an easel on the other. Elizabeth gets emotional and puts it aside and then opens the box with her jacket and it has her name with flames on the side. Elizabeth takes her current jacket and puts on this one and she goes and gives a group hug to the kids and then turns and hugs Jason and whispers in his ear " Thank you for thinking of me." Elena says " You look pretty and cool mama me next me next." Jason says " Come here princess and I will help you open the box and put on your jacket ok." She smiles brightly and he can't love Elizabeth more for giving him a precious little girl. They open the box and her jacket has a name but with a mini motorcycle running over a soccer ball underneath it. Her helmet on one side says Daddy's princess and the other side says mama's favorite girl. Her parents laugh at her and then her brothers open thiers and Cam kept his simple and went with flames that are blue but his jacket said Camster Webber. Jake's jacket said Jacob Martin in honor of his dad and then his helmet had a paintbrush on one side and Italy on the other. Elizabeth says " I told him you loved traveling and that Italy was a special place for both of us." Jason thanks her and his phone rings and he steps away " Morgan" his guard Jesse says he has eyes on their eagle and that he has landed. Jason says " Have that package delivered and I will pick it up tonight." Jesse says understood and Jason hangs up. They spend the day together but they have work and school tomorrow so he drops them off at home. Elena starts frowning and Jason asks " What wrong princess?" Elena says " I do not want you to leave Daddy why can't you stay here?" Jason says " You see Mommy and I are not together but we love you and your brothers very much and even when I am not here you can always call me and If I can't answer leave a message and I will call back as soon as possible. Remember we talked about next weekend you guys are going to see my new house and you guys picked out what you wanted today so that when you visit it will already be there" Elena nods but sniffles and asks " Do you not love mommy like a daddy supposed too?' Jason bends down and says " I love your mommy because she is my friend but she gave me you, Cam, and Jake and those are the best presents a daddy could ask for but your mommy loves Franco, and I have to respect that which means I can't stay here but I can visit and if you want I can take you out and we can have a family dinner. But Daddy loves you very much but I do not want you to be late for your bedtime but I will see you real soon." Elena hugs him and says goodnight. Jake and Cam hug him and say goodbye. Jason turns to Elizabeth and says " Thanks for letting me have time with the kids and have a good night." He turns to leave and Elizabeth feels like her heart is torn in two. Two men both are complicated creatures and she loves them for different reasons. She made her choice and she has to stick to it because as sweet as Jason's words are Sam is his soulmate not her and as much as she loves him she will not be second fiddle for anyone.
