It was 13 days till Christmas and 12 days till Jack's birthday and Nathan was still trying to figure out what to get Allie and Jack for Christmas. He had a tradition where he always got her a charm bracelet, but he's gotten her like every single charm bracelet there is, so he was going to have to get created. Him and Allie were walking to school when he decided to ask her what she wanted.

"Hey Al, what do you want for Christmas this year?" Nathan asks.

Allie looks up mysteriously, "Umm… I want you to propose to Mrs. Thornton." Nathan let out a little chuckle and so did Allie.

"I've already talked to you about this. Remember our plan?"

"Yes!!!! How could I forget?!" Allie started jumping up and down since she couldn't contain her excitement.

"You haven't said or given any clues to Mrs. Thornton, right?" Nathan asked nervously.

Allie looked up in surprise, "No, why would I do that?"

"All right sassy pants, just checking."

When they got to school Allie ran off to go be with her friends. Nathan spotted Elizabeth looking over all the children.

"Hi Lizabeth." Nathan says trying not to be so romantic around the kids.

She looks up at him and smiles. "Hi! What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be on your rounds?" Elizabeth asked curiously.

"I have the day off today. Would it be okay if I pick you up, and take you home? Nathan casually asks.

"Yes, I would love that." Elizabeth replies. After a couple of minutes, it was time to start school, so Nathan and Elizabeth parted their ways looking forward to their time together later that day.

"Okay everyone, have you guys thought about your Christmas wish for the tree?" Elizabeth asks all her students.

Angela raises her hand*

Elizabeth sees her hand raised, "Yes Angela?"

"Can it be a wish for someone else, or does it have to be for you?"

"It can be for someone else! It can be any wish you like." She thanks Elizabeth, then all of the kids start chatting about their wish.

While they were talking about their wish, Elizabeth thought it would be a good time to start brainstorming about what to get Nathan and Allie for Christmas. She wanted it to be something special.

It was after school and Nathan was getting ready to pick up Elizabeth. Walking her home from school was one of his favorite things to do. But when he went to school, he could tell something wasn't right with Elizabeth.

"Elizabeth, are you okay?" Nathan rushes over to her.

Elizabeth was paler than usuall. "Nathan…" Elizabeth says fainty and passes out in his arms. "Sweetheart," Nathan says, touching her forehead. She was really warm.

He picks her up bridal style and quickly carries her over to the infirmary.

"Faith!" Nathan says barging through the doors. "Elizabeth passed out in the school and I have no clue what is going on. Her forehead is really warm though." He puts her down on the bed and Faith takes a look at her.

"It's measles. It's been going around. You usually don't get it if you have had it before. Have you had it before?" Faith asks.

"No, Allie and I have both had it before. Is she going to be okay?" Nathan was extremely nervous.

"Yeah she'll be okay. Can you do me a favor and go over to the saloon to get a bucket of ice? We need to try and cool her down as soon as possible."

Nathan bolten out the infirmary door and rushed over to the saloon. Once he got the ice, he rused back to the infirmary just to see Elizabeth still passed out. She was dripping in sweat and Faith was trying to cool her off with damp washclothes.

"Nathan, she'll have to be here all night. I called Lee and Rosemary and they said Jack and Allie could stay there for the night. What do you want to do?" Faith asks.

"I'll stay here with her. You go home Faith, I'll let you know if anything happens." After that Faith leaves and Nathan stays with her. 'Please Elizabeth, please wake up.'
