The next day, the two enjoyed an incredible breakfast at the luxurious hotel with French cuisine, then they visited various tourist attractions, Olivia shopped for handbags and shoes at the biggest stores such as Chanel, Prada, Gucci...among others.
After France, they went to Italy, Spain, Portugal, among others. They enjoyed two weeks and every second of their honeymoon together.
Then they got on a private jet and flew home.
When they got back from their trip, Olivia agreed to meet Susan and talk, she let Susan talk and vent about everything she was feeling, she almost didn't talk, she just let Susan talk. Olivia tried to make her believe that Jake disappeared because he was involved in something illegal, but she disagreed with Olivia.
The only request Susan made of Olivia was to get closer to Sophie and Olivia said yes.
/A FEW WEEKS LATER.../
Olivia saw Abby and Alex kissing in the company parking lot and was happy for her, Josh officially became a partner in Grant's company and this means that Chloe will get even closer to Olivia and Fitz's relationship.
She's living the last experiences before Sophie's arrival... the first kick she had in her belly, Olivia was working and then immediately she called for Fitz, he put his hand on her belly and he could feel his little daughter moving, it was an unforgettable moment for Fitz.
/MONTHS LATER/
Her beautiful face a little rounder, her small body carrying a big 9-month-old belly, her back aching, her feet a little swollen...
Olivia put on a bikini and went to the pool area, trying to relax a bit in the water, because she's feeling a lot of pain in her back and belly.
But before she got into the pool, as she was walking, she started to feel a lot of pain and to shout for Fitz... "Fitz, Fitz, Fitz" she shouted louder and louder.
He was getting juice and fruit to take to the pool and when he heard her screaming, he ran out...
"What is it, Liv? What are you feeling?" he asked, worried and trying to calm her down.
"A lot of pain, it's contractions... I think Sophie's going to be born," she said nervously and touched her belly.
"Okay, let's go to the hospital"
Fitz put a dress on her and shoes and told the security guard to take the rest of the things to the hospital.
Fitz picked her up, put her in the car and they drove straight to the hospital.
When they arrived at the hospital, the doctors laid Olivia down and she started crying... "Fitz, I'm scared, my intuition tells me something's going to go wrong" she said through tears.
Fitz held her hand "Baby, it's going to be okay, I'm going to stay here with you, I'm not going to let go of your hand for a second" he said.
"Fitz, if I die... will you promise to take care of Sophie?" Olivia was having an anxiety attack and she was so afraid of her first birth, she chose a caesarean section.
"Olivia, don't ever say that again..." he said, trying to hold back his tears, so as not to make her even more nervous.
"Promise?" she repeated and soon she was screaming in pain again.
The doctor took Olivia into the delivery room. Fitz went into another room, to put on the protection needed to accompany her during the birth and then he came into the room and held her hand the whole time, Olivia sat down, took her anesthesia...
She kept telling him to promise, until the anesthesia started to take effect and his voice became lower and lower...
"I promise, baby, but I know it's going to be okay... I love you" he whispered to her and squeezed her hand.
That Fitz who once told her that he had to avoid kissing her on the mouth so as not to fall in love with her, is now holding her hand during the birth of their first daughter and she is so proud of the man he has become.
And then the caesarean section began, she is in one of the best hospitals in the country and certainly has the best obstetricians in charge of her delivery.
As a caesarean section is much quicker than a normal birth, Fitz soon saw Sophie being removed from Olivia's belly, he heard her cry and couldn't hold back the tears.
Sophie Grant was born on a Sunday, at her ideal weight... then the doctor cut the umbilical cord.
Fitz was looking at Sophie when Olivia's heartbeat began to change and the doctor became worried. Fitz's gaze immediately left Sophie and he noticed that Olivia was acting strangely... "What's happening to her?" he asked.
"You need to leave now," the doctor said.
"What's happening to her?" he repeated.
The doctors pushed Fitz out...
"What's happening? I want to stay with her" while a nurse tried to calm Fitz down, the doctors were controlling Olivia's heartbeat.
"You can't now, Mr. Grant... it's normal for some problems to occur during a caesarean birth, everything will be fine with your wife," said the nurse.
"Tell those doctors that no matter what happens, I'll pay whatever it takes... I just want my wife alive, save her, don't let anything bad happen to her," he said desperately, crying.
Fitz went to the hospital reception to wait, he called Vicent on the way to the hospital and Vicent arrived.
"Has she been born yet?" he asked.
Fitz hugged him, crying a lot... "What happened?" Vincent asked.
"I don't know, Sophie was born and then Olivia's heartbeat was altered and they took me away... Vincent, I can't lose her, I've already lost our mother, I can't lose Olivia too" he said sobbing, he loves her so much.
"Fitz, calm down... she'll be fine, you'll see, the doctors will give you news about her soon"
"I can't live without her anymore, do you understand?"
"Of course I understand, you love her"
"She's the love of my life, my wife, the mother of my daughter, I definitely can't live without her" Fitz started pacing back and forth.
"Is Sophie all right?" Vincent asked.
"Yes, my daughter was born beautiful, healthy... the doctors are taking care of her and soon I'll be able to hold her in my arms"
"I'm very proud of you," Vincent hugged him this time.
Fitz paced back and forth in the hospital reception, he couldn't stand still without wondering what was happening to her inside that delivery room.
A few long minutes later, which for Fitz felt like an eternity, he saw the same nurse who had spoken to him, walking towards him to give him information. "How is she? My wife? I just need to hear that she's okay," he said, interrupting the nurse.
"Calm down, Mr. Grant... your wife is fine now, the doctors have controlled the whole situation, she's fine, she's been medicated and she's sleeping a little now" she said calmly.
"Liv, baby... I knew you'd make it, I love you so much" he said aloud, as if he were talking to her.
"Thank you," he said to the nurse.
"Can I see Sophie now?"
"In a few minutes your daughter will be ready for her first contact with her father, first we'll lay her next to her mother's skin, it's very important for the baby to have this first contact with the mother," she said.
"Will Liv go to her room when she wakes up?"
"Yes, the doctor will release her to her room and then you'll be notified"
"See, I told you everything would be fine," said Vincent.
"I'm so relieved now, I have a family to look after," he said.
"Yes, you have a family to look after"
Vincent said goodbye and said he'd be back the next day. Fitz ate a sandwich in the hospital cafeteria while he waited... he waited for a while.
Then he received the information that Olivia and Sophie were in the room.
He immediately ran to the room, opened the door and saw Olivia with her eyes open, she was still a bit confused, because of the medicine...
"How are you feeling, baby? Are you okay?" he asked, as he walked closer to her.
"I thought I was going to die, it was a horrible feeling. but now, I'm fine," she said softly.
"I love you so much, you're so strong," he said.
"I love you too, have you seen Sophie's eyes? they're just like yours" she said.
Fitz took Sophie on his lap, he saw her eyes, still struggling to open and close her eyes, she opened them quickly and closed them again... her little eyes were the same shade of blue as his, the shape of her mouth was the same as her mother's, she was the perfect blend of the two.
"Liv, she's so beautiful, so small," he said softly.
"She's ours, Fitz, ours..." she said, as she fell asleep again from exhaustion.
