Chapter 21
authors note : Brooke left for new york after graduating high school. While Lucas stayed in Tree and so did Peyton. They dated during college after a few years after that. Brucas didn't regain contact until after Brooke came back to town. Lucas and Peyton were long over by then.
"You come over for a visit. Which me and Keith love."
"You know he closes the autobody shop for the holiday season. While i limit my hours leading up to christmas eve and new years eve."
"I was heading over to the cafe but I can see that you came here to talk so let's get to it." Karen said.
As they sat down in the living room.
"I asked Brooke to marry me and she said yes." Lucas said with a smile.
"I'm overjoyed about this really. I love you. And we love Brooke."
"But i'm concerned Lucas. Once this gets out. You and Peyton dated for years and nothing came of that but a break up."
"I worry she won't take it well." Karen replied.
"Me and Peyton are friends. We've been broken up and got over all that stuff." Lucas reassured her.
...
"This is so great. A wedding. I knew you and Lucas were back together and doing well but i never saw a wedding so soon." Haley proclaimed.
"We're in love and commited to each other. We're ready to start a life together." Brooke proclaimed.
"As long as we can pick out on our dresses i'm here for it."
"I know how you never stopped loving him. Despite everything that happened so i'm glad its finally worked out." Rachel proclaimed.
"Thank you Rach. And you are going to be so beautiful especially now." Brooke replied. Hugging Rachel tightly.
"I love and support you and Lucas together you know that." Haley added in.
"You have to say that you're going to be god mother." Rachel said. Touching her 10 week pregnant stomach.
"I'm looking forward to becoming his wife and hopefully in the near future. We'll be having a family of our own." Brooke proclaimed.

"I wanted you to hear from me and not from anyone else."
"Me and Brooke are engaged." Lucas announced.
The expression on Peyton's face softened.
"I love you and i want you to be happy. So i hope its everything you wanted." Peyton replied.
Lucas thanked her and hugged her. Before leaving her home.
