Throughout the roughly 3 Months, the UNGCC, in its brief period of existence, would be given control and authority over multiple teams of Scientists, Observers and other professions of people tasked with studying the 'Kaiju.' that were now arising across locations around the world. The UNGCC, now tasked with bringing about the containment, study and hopefully eventual destruction of these creatures, would be luckly given more than enough budget to upkeep these temporary facilities. The UNGCC teams were tasked, simply, with monitoring the Creatures. Obviously it was easier to monitor some Kaiju than others, since some were on the Move like Gojira and Komodithrax, Rodan especially since he was airborne, although luckily it was easier to track him since he was flying over the mainland United States. The Entire Situation with Rodan was a Mess, US Airpower had proved unable to deal with him, and everytime he flew over SAM defenses they also proved equally ineffective. Rodan, luckily had begun to fly Northwest and ended up making a 'Nest' at Mount St Helens, quickly settling down into the Volcano. They managed to captured some pictures, but most people sent to observe him did not come back.

So, over the course of a Month, the World Settled down of course, some areas had bigger things to worry about, the only areas that seemed to remember were those directly affected by the Kaiju. The Economy of the States of Oklahoma and Texas were in complete Shambles and the US was entering a New Recession as a Whole. General Packard had already been discharged for his corruption and was going on trial for it, and Serizawa, through all of this, was just trying to survive the mess of things that the world was throwing at him.

Costa Rican Coast

An Intense Thunderstorm crashed against the coast of Costa Rica as a Tropical Storm made landfall, waves rolled onto the Beach, some reaching the Dirt Pathway as the Truck Rushed Past, throwing up intense waves. Dr Tatapolous checked his Watch, he was Eleven Minutes late and they 'Needed him immediately' which worried him. Tatopoulos was considered a 'Expert' on the Monsters, a Questionable title since there was no such thing as an Expert, just someone who made a Clever Guess and got it Right. Tatopoulos had been the One to Guess that Kamoebas was hibernating due to Wounds Incurred from Gojira, which was proven correct eventually, as he showed more activity as the wounds healed, and they were pretty much healed now.

That's what Tatopoulos was worried about, Kamoebas was a very hostile Kaiju, even more Hostile than Gojira, and after making Landfall in Havanna what little Remaining of the Cuban Economy was in complete Ruin. The Last thing the UNGCC needed was to deal with Kamoebas rampaging around Central America and based on Tatopolous's predictions it was an inevitability, one he did not wish to be right about.

The Truck Suddenly began to Bounce as it drove over a particularly uneven stretch of road, and Tatopoulos grabbed a Small Handle on the top of the Truck Cabin, holding on as it rattled and jumped unevenly, eventually the path smoothed out and he let go. The Headlights caught countless Raindrops in their beams, and the truck slowed as it took a turn, then accelerated again as it drove on the path towards the Basecamp. Tatopoulos could see the Floodlights they set up on poles on top of the Hills that surrounded Kamoebas, They rose up out of the treeline, and had been hastily set up. As a Result he was already aware there were a lot of issues with them, they were powered by some Gas Generators, but they frequently had to have their cables changed out as they were frequently damaged by Rain and Water. He had asked why they didn't waterproof them or the structure, and they had simply said they hadn't the time to do that yet. As lightning flashed he could see the Outline of it, he could also see that one of them was turned off, probably for repairs or hopefully for retrofits. He didn't know what they wanted from him, but hopefully he could find out now.

The Truck pulled up to a Prefab Trailer, the Structure was dripping wet, and as he got out of the vehicle he soon was as well. Luckily, he had a Raincoat, which he put on and walked over to the group of scientists under a Tarp. As he entered the Tent, he could see the Outline of Kamoebas outside of it, his Shell was outlined against the Lightning flashes, and he could see just how massive he truly was.

"Dr Tatopolus, glad you're here." One of the researchers said, he shook his hand before he was escorted to a Small Assortment of equipment, which included some monitors, computer equipment and other stuff, he could see a Wide Variety of Graphs being displayed on them, he could see one of them was a Heart Monitor and he could already see activity in the Kaiju rising. He also saw a Radiation Monitor, which was recording a Sharp Uptake in Ambient Radiation. As he watched the Monitors, a Large Red Exclamation Point appeared on Screen and he saw one of the Graphs suddenly record a Massive Spike in….Something.

"That's the Seismographs." The Researcher said, "We had to go to the USGS for them, but they are really sensitive and drown out Ambient Tremors, they are typically used to detect early signs for Volcanic Eruptions, but here we are using them to detect the movements of Kamoebas."

He nodded, the other monitors were recording some level of increases too.

"He seems to be coming out of his Hibernation phase, we've been recording some increases for the past 3 Days now." The Researcher told him, the Researcher then swiped on the monitor, showing the activity for the past week, he could see it was mostly flat, but indeed over the past few days there had been spikes of activity, and over the past day there had really been a Massive spike.

"He is waking up." He whispered, "We need to get the military here ... .Costa Rica has basically no armed forces either, can you guys call the US Military?"

"I can get them to send something, but with Rodan sleeping within 100 Kilometers of Seattle I don't think Costa Rica will be high on their priority list." One of the soldiers with them said, as the soldier went over to the phone he suddenly heard a Loud and Rapid Beeping noise. The Monitors were recording another massive spike, all of them, radiation, Seismographs, monitors, everything.

Suddenly, and without warning, the Heart Monitor cut off. He saw a Cable in the distance snap as it was disconnected from whatever device was being used to monitor the Vitals of Kamoebas, and as he watched the Outline of the Monster rose up into the sky, the ground quaked as it now stood up on its Hind Legs, the Horrible Green Glow of its eye Pierced through the darkness and in all of that all he remained silent, everyone did except for the soldier talking on the phone, who was speaking to the US Military.

Through the lightning, he saw a Brief look of Kamoebas turning his head, and at that moment, he began to hear Thundering Footfalls that shook the entire basecamp. He began to freeze up as the Footfalls approached, and he quickly brushed that aside and screamed for everyone to run.

He was one of the first to actually begin running, sprinting out into the pouring rain. He heard the screams as Kamoebas Fists came down on the Research tents, a Shockwave hit him and he tripped onto the ground, he turned to see that Kamoebas had completely destroyed them, and as he looked his head began to wander. Taking advantage of this momentary confusion he scrambled to his feet and ran around the corner of the prefab building, the truck he arrived on had already left, but he saw an Old Jeep in the corner, he rushed to it, and with horror he realized the Keys weren't anywhere in the car. He began searching around the car, then he entered the prefab trailer building, whose door was still open. He began searching around it, then sighed in relief as he found the keys. He ran back outside, the Crackle of Thunder making itself known as he climbed into the jeep, but before he could turn the ignition he heard another crash.

Kamoebas feet came down next to the jeep, he looked to his side, the foot was where the prefab building was just a moment ago. He looked next to him, not saying a Word as the Kaijus Green Eyes focused on something ahead of him. The Kaiju bent its head down, sniffing, and Tatopoulos resisted the Urge to Scream. The Thunder of Rain on the Soft top of the vehicle and the Crackling noises of Thunder was the only other noise he could hear other than his, and Kamoebas, Heartbeat. Kamoebas then lifted his head back up, Tatopolous could hear the screams of a few researchers in the distance, and he guessed some had gotten free and had ran from the Monster, Kamoebas roared, and quickly dashed back passed him, he watched as the Kaiju receded into the distance, and as he watched he quickly began to fumble with the keys. He heard more screams as Kamoebas began to dispatch the other surviving researchers, and then he finally got the Key into the Ignition.

He quickly pressed onto the accelerator as the Jeep roared to life. It began to move quickly down the road, Rain Clattered against the Windshield as he looked into the driver side rearview mirror. He could see Kamoebas chasing after him, but he was far enough behind to give him time. He watched as one of the tall spotlights went down, the pole crashing down into the jungle next to him. He sped down the dirt road, he could hear trees crashing, and he saw the Green Lights of Kamoebas in the mirror, which, comfortingly, told him that objects in it were closer than they appeared.

He was moving well over 70 miles an hour now, although he wasn't paying much attention to that, he could feel every individual bump in the road and the jeep was giving him some rattles as he passed Eighty Miles an Hour, but he couldn't afford to slow down since Kamoebas was still gaining. He pressed his foot down on the accelerator as hard as he could, the Jeep rattled, he saw some lights of a Gas Station, and as he sped past it he saw some people outside stare confused at him, and then they screamed as they saw what was chasing him. He saw and heard an Explosion behind him as he passed 90 miles an hour.

As he continued to floor the acceleration, the Dirt Path he was on connected to a Paved Highway that ran next to the sea. The Road became a lot smoother, and his jeep maxed out. He didn't look back as he heard the continued crashing as Kamoebas ran after him, yet he had the feeling Kamoebas wasn't giving it his all, if he wanted too he could have just launched a fireball at him and been done with it, yet he wasn't even catching up to him?

Yet, as he looked back, he Saw Kamoebas had stopped. The Turtle-like Creature was standing on the side of the road, its feet on both the Pavement and the grass. As he watched, the Monster slowly turned and began to follow another paved road, one that was lit with street lamps. He stopped the jeep, curiously watching it as it began to walk down the road. He now drove the jeep up to where that road broke off from the coastal highway, and when he saw a sigh he stopped right next to it and read it.

'San Jose, 100 miles'

UNGCC Headquarters, New York.

It was with Horror that they read the reports, which described, from the only known survivor, that Kamoebas had woken up in Costa Rica. It had been sent in just a few minutes ago by Doctor Tatopoulos and he had said something else, that Kamoebas was heading towards San Jose, the largest nearby city. This had sent them scrambling to get into contact with the Costa Rican Government, who had issued an Evacuation notice. The Costa Rican Government had been informed of this by the US, who, in turn, had been informed by a Soldier at the site who had been killed while informing them. The US was dispatching aircraft, but it was likely they would take at least 2 hours to reach San Jose and that it was unlikely they could stop Kamoebas.

This had caused some stirring in the UNGCC, and Serizawa could 100% tell this was going to be bad both for the citizens of San Jose and the UNGCC, the UNGCC was completely incapable of dealing with Kaiju at that moment, however, when the UNGCC was founded everyone expected them to deal with it all, automatically. When Rodan attacked Mexico and then the Rockies, many ridiculed the UNGCC, blaming them for the rampage despite the UNGCC not holding the power or assets to properly respond to the attack of Rodan. The Rumors going around about the Kaiju in the arctic wasn't helping them at all, some were arguing that the entire thing was a Money Laundering operation, or a Conspiracy, and despite his protest and defense they seemed to be deadlocked into believing that the UNGCC was somehow responsible for all this, and they weren't blaming him, they were blaming the good people of the UNGCC.

So, Serizawa, now stressed out after dealing with all this BS, was confronted with Kamoebas now moving towards the Capital of Costa Rica, A City of over a Million and a Half People, and not only that but it was Midnight.

He had been coordinating with as Many People as possible over the last 10 minutes to get information on the whole damn thing, which, to say the least, had been an Issue. He had a lot of trouble communicating with the USAF, who assured him they were sending an Unknown quantity of aircraft to a Kaiju who was in Central America and was immune to all known conventional Weapons. He knew it was only a matter of time before someone considered using a Nuke on one of these things, and while he had no idea whether dropping a Sun on them would work he knew the effects of one would be just as Disastrous as a Kaiju itself, if not worse. He had asked the US Military if they were planning on using a Nuclear Weapon on Kamoebas, and they simply said they were 'Considering all options' for stopping any future Kaiju attacks, and that scared him, if they Nuked any of these things, the Fallout, both literally and figuratively, would be immense. The US Military was already going to great lengths to stop these things, they were reactivating basically every weapon in their arsenal like World War 3 was about to pop off. The Iowa Class Battleships were all being recalled to service and they were even bringing the Texas into drydock and outfitting her with all the needed systems to bring her online, any weapon, no matter how old, was being called up.

"Sir, we are getting uplinked to the SpaceX Climate Monitoring Satellites now." One of the officials said, and as he spoke he saw the Monitors change to show a screen of the Central American Coastline in Infrared, SpaceX used this to monitor when Hurricanes and several weather would form, as well as Predict Volcanic Eruptions and find wildfires. As he looked he saw a Very Bright, Purple spot on the map that was moving.

"There." He said, pointing to it. It lined up with where Tatopolous had said, and was about halfway between the Coast and San Jose. He looked at the map's Grids, which indicated that he was about 45 miles from San Jose. That Indicated, based on Tatopolus's timing, that the thing was moving in excess of 75 Miles Per hour, given Tatopoulos phoned in about 30 minutes ago. His Math was almost certainly wrong now that he looked back, but either way, he was right about one thing, and that was there was certainly no time to evacuate San Jose. Unless those US Jets were moving Mach 3 there was almost no way they were going to be able to even get into range of Kamoebas before he reached the city.

"Get on the Line with the Costa Rican Government." He said, "Tell them to get any forces you can to stop or slow down Kamoebas, if Kamoebas takes a Minute chasing a Couple of APCS that's an extra batch of Civilians Saved."

One of the UNGCC Officials Nodded, grabbing a Special Phone and dialing in the Costa Rican Government. Serizawa didn't know if it was Ethical to send men to die in a Hopeless battle against a Monster they can't even scratch, but they had no choice.

Just Outside of San Jose, Costa Rica.

It had been roughly an Hour since Tatopolous had called in, and in the last 20 minutes Costa Rica had done what it could to set up a Temporary line of Defense, they couldn't hope to muster the entirety of their small military of course, after all they had less than a Half Hour to do this. All they could do was a small line of Soldiers, some with RPGS, a Couple Machine Guns and 2 Armored Jeeps. There were about 100 of them in all, and they had a Great View of San Jose, which sparkled in the Night.

"Where is that Turtle?" One of the Soldiers asked.

"Don't know, they said it would be here about now." One of the others said, there was a Distant Crackle of Thunder and it began to rain. At that moment he heard a Distant Boom, followed by the ground shaking slightly, he watched as the power in the City switched off.

"That Thing Must have cut the power lines!" A Soldier said, and one of the others nodded. They all switched on their flashlights, and they felt the ground shake some more as a distant roar sounded. Kamoebas was approaching fast, they could hear the individual footsteps and a distant explosion. The Clouds prevented any moonlight from filtering to the surface, and the only lights were placed with backup generators.

"Get that Spotlight up!" One of the Soldiers said, the booming noises were closer now, and as the Spotlight began to shine the Shell of Kamoebas became Visible, The Kaiju was entering the city and the soldiers had to act fast.

"Fire!" One of them said, and the RPG Fire, Machine Guns and other weapons lit up the darkness as Explosions flashed across Kamoebas Shell. Kamoebas turned, roaring at them, and began to charge up the hill. The Soldiers stopped shooting and began to run, but Kamoebas charged up a Fireball and fired it at them, the entire Chunk of the Mountain they were located on blew off, and with horror the remaining ones watched as their comrades fell in an Avalanche of Smoldering Rocks. Kamoebas, cresting the mountain, watched the remaining fleeing soldiers and fired a Energy Ball that splashed along the ground, melting the soldiers and igniting a small portion of the forest, which was doused by the rain quickly. The Mountainside was covered by a Wall of Steam, and as Kamoebas stared at it all he turned back to the city, which had sirens going off in it now, Air Raid Sirens.

As Kamoebas turned toward the city, he saw a Small House near his feet that had survived the attack on the mountain, he stepped on it, crushing the small and weak structure. Kamoebas began to walk into the city, his feet stepping over the outer reaches of the city and over some small homes. As Kamoebas walked into the city he was vaguely aware of a Small Number of Policemen firing at him, he looked down at them, then breathing out an Enormous quantity of Fire which flooded the City Streets around him, windows were blown at and as soon as it started it was over. The Rain, still pounding against the streets, did end up dousing the fires caused by him as well, but some had gotten inside buildings and began to spread throughout flammable interiors.

Kamoebas continued his path, stepping over a Fuel Truck which crumpled then exploded under his foot. As he continued his path of destruction he felt the prick of Gunfire, he also heard a Noise, that being the sound of Jet Engines. Unknown to him, a US Supercarrier operating in the Gulf had hastily fueled up some Fighter Jets and launched them, and as he watched them circle around Kamoebas began to charge up another ball of energy. Once it was charged, Kamoebas fired it with pinpoint accuracy at one of the F-18s, and it didn't even explode when it hit, rather just passing through and Melting the aircraft. The Energy Ball then Arced across the sky, and came down near a Small Street of Shops at the edge of the city, on impact it melted into the shops it landed on and then exploded into a fireball, engulfing the surrounding area. A Mass of Smoke and Steam rose from where it hit as the Water from the Rain. The Remains of the F-18 fell to the ground as a Rain of melting Slag, and Kameobas now turned his attention to the other jets.

Another F-18 fired its missiles at him, and Kamoebas watched as they struck him, doing absolutely no damage whatsoever. He prepared another energy attack as he stomped his feet on the ground and locked his claws into it. He didn't need to put much energy into it, but for some reason he had the urge to keep going. He continued putting energy into the attack, slowly building up more and more energy, his mouth began to glow a Bright White, just like Gojira did when he used his most powerful beams. Lightning began to flash around Kamoebas mouth, which arced across the sky, then, as the energy began to become so bright it lit up the surrounding landscape he unleashed the attack.

The Resulting ball of Energy Crackled and vibrated, the White Light pulsed within it, it was as if the Sun came down to Earth and was lighting up the night. It travelled almost slowly across the landscape, the Fighter jets had time to bank and avoid the sphere of energy as it descended towards the ground near the City Center, after what seemed like a Long Twenty Seconds it struck the ground near several nearby skyscrapers and slowly began to merge with the ground, which instantly melted, leaving a Perfectly sphere hole around the energy. Then something strange happened, it began to shrink, pulsing as it did as it began to glow Blue, then Purple as it shrunk down into nothingness.

Then came the light, A Thousand Godrays shot from where the sphere had just been, followed by the most intense light anyone had ever seen. The Energy within the Beam had condensed enough to ignite Trace Amounts of Hydrogen within the Energy Ball with a Fusion Reaction, the resulting reaction caused a Ball of Plasma to expand out and enveloped the ground and nearby buildings, then followed by the Light becoming so blinding and producing so much heat and radiation that it began to burn everything in the city. The Pilots turned their planes away from the light but it was enough to sear the undersides and fry electronics as their systems began to burn. The Radiation and heat was in fact so powerful that all the clouds within 11 kilometers quickly dispersed, and all the water on the ground in sight of the blast nearby flash-vaporized as the light and heat struck it. Kamoebas watched as the Expanding Ball stopped its Expansion, and suddenly came a Shockwave, it nearly knocked Kamoebas off his feet and he watched as the Buildings around him were blown away, the light slowly died, and through the dust, through the Smoke, Kamoebas could see the Stars, now available to see thanks to the Blast clearing all the clouds away, the entire mountainside was on fire, trees either blown into smoldering pieces or completely engulfed in flames. Kamoebas himself did not quite understand the extent of what he had just done, but as he stared upon the Dimly Lit Rising Mushroom Cloud, he could feel nothing other than the feeling he had survived another day.

And so Kamoebas roared, a Roar that was heard for miles, and when he stopped he continued his path west, making his way to the Pacific Ocean across the Isthmus of Central America.

UNGCC Floor, NYC.

They didn't know what happened for half an Hour after San Jose was annihilated, although for even longer they didn't even know how it happened. As they ended up learning, Kamoebas had managed a Fusion based attack, and had unleashed it destroying over 85% of the city and causing damage to the surrounding area. This had come in as a Shock to him, as what he had feared had come to pass albeit in the form of a Kaiju rather than the US Military.

Now he was unsure, unsure of everything. If Kaiju were capable of Nuclear Attacks, then perhaps there really might be a reason to use Nuclear Weapons.

As he was thinking, he heard a clamor, he looked over and heard even more bad news.

"Jira has emerged in Appalachia!"
