Leila sat in her chair, staring at her wrist, at the band she was still wearing. 'So you got away...' She quietly said, taking in the story Ravess had told her.

'I did. I was the lucky one' Ravess replied. She stood up, almost immediately re-composed and with her normal stern voice returned. 'Listen to me. You need to return it to where it was given to you'

'I-I understand...' Leila solemnly affirmed, the weight of the task bearing down on her. Ravess stared at her for a second and huffed, rolling her eyes.

'Don't be like that. I still need you for our show, do your performance first' Ravess conceded.

'But you booted me...'

'Consider yourself un-booted, then. Now get your violin and fall in for practise, before I regret it' Ravess replied, starting to sound annoyed. Leila took the chance to quickly find her instrument, jumping out of her seat and running around the corner, out of the backstage. 'Leila!' Ravess called, stopping her in her tracks. 'Keep away from the waterfront. We'll sort your wristband out in our own time'

Leila nodded in frantic agreement, and darted out to the theatre, into the street.

She found herself back at the point where she hid under the boardwalk earlier that day, yet before she could climb down underneath, she would bump into Snipe, who immediately pulled a face of guilt and surprise. 'Oh. It's you' He said, trying to remain calm. He climbed out from under the boardwalk, holding a full burlap sack over one of his shoulders. The pair could hear voices shout in the distance. 'Oh no. Oh no no no no.' Snipe slowly started to panic. The commotion came from a number of people across the streets who worked in the many shops. Before any of them had a chance to get to Snipe, however, Ravess closed the gap. Primarily focused on Leila.

'I found your violin back at the theatre, not sure why you're out-' Ravess noticed the sack being held by Snipe. 'Big Brother. What is that?' Ravess asked, choking her anger. She knew that Snipe holding a sack in that manner normally spells trouble, and that this time would be no different.

'Uhhhhhh' Snipe moved his head across all of the approaching shop staff. Suddenly, he smiled, an idea crossed his mind.

'Hey! Look! I found all your stuff!' He shouted at to the crowd. They replied with more shouts and yells. 'Yeah! Yeah, I took it off of these two here!' He added, pointing to Ravess and Leila, deflecting the blame. Ravess and Leila both had an immediate sense of dread, Snipe's dishonesty risked everything Ravess had worked for. Ravess, with her rage finally boiling over, swung a punch at Snipe's gut that was so hard, it forced the sack out of his hand and dropped him to the floor, wheezing and clawing for breath.

The crowd reached Ravess, Leila, and Snipe, hurling insults and threats. Leila shot her hands straight into the air, Ravess did the same. They stood and waited, until Triton barged past the the crowd. 'What's going on 'ere?' He quietly yet sternly asked Ravess.

'Snipe's using us as a scapegoat' Ravess replied, her tone matching Triton's.

'No I'm not!' Snipe mustered, still winded on the floor. 'That's a lie!'

'Enough!' Triton shouted, silencing the crowd as well as the accused. Looking at the three in trouble, Triton noticed the band around Leila's wrist. 'Listen up, everyone!' He commanded, his voice booming through the crowd. He gripped Leila firmly by the wrist and held her arm in the air. 'This is the Siren's stones! They've latched onto this poor girl's mind!'

Ravess suddenly joined in. 'If I may give an order, I suggest that she will be confined to the theatre until her performance will be complete. Afterwords, we will let fate decide her future' She gave an anxious, expectant look to Triton. He nodded in agreement.

'Let it be so! The taken items will be returned, the afflicted girl will be confined, and the performance at the theatre will go ahead as expected. If this girl has had her mind controlled into theft, imagine how her music will sound' Triton said. His words being final resolution to the situation. He gripped Ravess and Leila by the wrists, and marched up the boardwalk, taking them back to the theatre.

Finally back at the theatre, Triton let them go. 'Listen to me, and listen well. Neither of you are to cause any more trouble. I've stuck my neck out for you two. Do not let the axe drop on it' He coldly commanded.

'What of Snipe?' Ravess asked.

'Don't worry, I'll deal with him' Triton replied, holding the same tone. 'Meantime, stay here and get your show together. Time is running out'

'We won't let you down' Leila meekly responded. Triton merely hummed back before leaving the two musicians behind, walking back down to the waterfront.
