Reporting Back To The Emperor

The sun was already beginning to creep into the sky of the Valley Of Peace. Its citizens were still asleep. Even the warriors and protectors of the Jade Palace were still asleep as well. Panther continued to sleep in her childhood friend's bed. She felt something resting on her arm.

Slowly opening up her eyes, Leo's head was resting against her arm. Panther must've moved onto her side sometime during the night and must've turned Leo to lay on his back next to her while wrapping her arms around him. Or Leo moved in his sleep due to the nightmares he's been having. He did leave Panther plenty of space last night for her to sleep in. It was kind and sweet of him to do it. The young woman knows he's only doing it as a professional and not overstepping his boundaries. Especially while being in a relationship with the leader of the Furious Five; Master Tigress.

Panther carefully removes her arm gently to not wake the young man up from his sleep. She grabs her phone to look at the time. It was six thirty right now. The Dragon Warrior and The Furious Five will be up in a couple of hours because Shifu gave them a day off from training for today. Setting her phone down, Panther looks back at her sleeping childhood friend.

It pains her every day to see and know Leo was still suffering from these nightmares every night for the past five years. She really hopes that Leo would talk about it. He doesn't need to keep suffering like this. If Leo does talk about it, then his nightmares should go away. He'll sleep easy and peacefully like everyone else.

"Hm." Leo stirs a little in his sleep. He slowly opens his eyes and turns his head a little to see his childhood friend looking at him. "Good morning, Panther."

"Good morning, Leo."

"Did you sleep well last night?"

"I have. And what about you?"

Leo nodded his head in response to Panther's question. The young raven-haired man watched Panther lowered her head with a low sigh. "What is it?"

"It's nothing." Panther replied. Once again, Panther is not surprised that he lied about sleeping well through every night. She knows him too well.

"What time is it right now?" Leo got up from his bed and walks over to his drawer to get put on some fresh clothes for today.

"It's six thirty right now." Panther replied. "I don't think Po and The Furious Five are up right now. But I know that Joe, Kiba and Kuo is up right now."

"And Blake?"

"He might be still sleeping." Panther guessed. "So is Azel and Risa."

The two humans exit Leo's room and headed to the kitchen to see the three wolves in the kitchen with Blake. Leo and Panther saw Blake making some porridge for breakfast.

"Oh. Good morning, you two." Kiba notices Leo and Panther in the doorway.

"Morning." Panther smiled.

Leo simply nodded to Kiba and went over to the table.

"Good morning." Risa said with a yawn as she entered the kitchen with Azel.

"Morning." Jie replied. "It's smells good in here."

"Thanks." Blake said as he turns around with a couple bowls in his hands. He sets the bowls onto the table.

They all started eating breakfast that Blake made.

"Is there enough for the others when they get up?" Jie asked Blake.

"Yes there is. I made sure there will be enough porridge for the others when they get up this morning." Blake replied.

"Good. Because we all have to talk in private so you'll learn what happened to Iris and Carlos after you left." Leo said to Blake.

"So, where will we all talk in private?"

"I know just the place."

After their breakfast was done and their dishes washed, Leo led them to a tall mountain that he was familiar with. It was right next to the Jade Palace. There was a lot of open space up here on the mountain. Panther found a nice spot to sit down. Leo watched Blake, Risa, Azel, Kiba, Jie and Kuo looking down at the palace and the village.

"This is a beautiful view from up here." Jie said amazed.

"I got to agree with you, sister." Kiba smiled.

Kuo turns to Leo. "You come up here to meditate every day?"

"A couple times." Leo said.

"I just got an idea." Risa smiled. She turns to face Leo.

"What is it?"

"We should take some pictures while we're here. You don't get something like this to see every day." Risa suggested.

"I like the sound of that idea." Panther smiled at the idea and stands up.

They started taking pictures together. Humans were first, then the wolves and it was a mix for the other pictures. The Twilight Titans gotten some excellent pictures of the view. Once they were done, Blake turns to Leo and Panther.

"So what happened to Iris and Carlos?"

Leo and Panther look at each other and turns their attention back to their friend.

The orange feline was starting to wake up. She sits up and lets out a yawn. Tigress felt well-rested. Leaving the room, Viper was slithering by the orange feline's room.

"Morning, Tigress."

"Good morning, Viper."

The two women heads to the kitchen to see Po and the rest of The Furious Five eating porridge.

"Good morning, everyone." Viper said to them as she and Tigress heads over to the table and sits down in their seats.

"Did you make the porridge this morning, Monkey?" Tigress asked Monkey.

"Nope. I came in here to see Po making a bowl of porridge for himself this morning."

"Well, I didn't make the porridge this morning. It was like this when I got in here." Po said.

"Maybe it was Leo or our other guests." Mantis suggested.

"Speaking of them, where are they right now?" Tigress wondered.

"I think they're meditating at one of Leo's spots." Monkey shrugs his shoulders. "I'm not surprised if Leo is at the library right now."

"Well, Shifu will talk to Leo after they report to the Emperor." Tigress said to the group. "We're going to find out why today."

After breakfast, Po and the Furious Five left to do their own thing for today. Tigress went to the library to find the scrolls her boyfriend was reading these past few months. There were only two names on her mind; Kaira and Enya. Those two names should be here in these scrolls somewhere perhaps. But the chances of finding those names are extremely low. She only heard the name Kaira from Po and Viper as she heard the name Enya from Leo only once. There should be a clue in here that could explain everything. The orange feline started her work by pulling the first scroll off the shelf.

A couple hours has passed and Tigress exits the library.

"Damn it. This is not going to be easy." Tigress rubs her temple. "I should clear my mind by meditating at the Peach Tree."

The orange feline was walking through the Hall Of Heroes when she saw Zeng sweeping the floor. She approaches the goose. "Zeng, have you seen Leo this morning?"

"Oh. Yes I have. He was walking to the mountain where he fought Zhao. The others followed him, and they haven't come back in a couple of hours." Zeng answered.

"Thank you, Zeng." Tigress thanks him and leaves the hall. She heads over to the Peach Tree Hill and began meditating to clear her mind.

Meanwhile, Leo and the others have returned from mountain after explaining what happened to Iris and Carlos. All of them agreed not to say a word about this to the warriors of the Jade Palace.

"So when should we visit The Emperor?" Jie asked Leo.

"We'll leave here at ten o'clock. It'll be two days to reach the capital on foot." Leo looks over his shoulder.

"Alright then. In the meantime, we should hang out with the Furious Five to pass the time before we leave." Risa suggested.

"Fine. But I'll be meditating for an hour at the Peach Tree before we pack up." Leo replied before walking away.

"See ya." Blake said.

Leo continues climbing the stairs to the Peach Tree Hill. When he arrives at the Peach Tree Hill, Leo saw Tigress meditating. Leo stops and began to stare at her. They haven't spend a lot of time together in weeks since the food famish incident. He's been through a lot worse than not eating anything. But teaming up with Saber was something he had to do. He really hopes that he doesn't team up like that again.

Leo must've been staring at his girlfriend for a couple minutes. He didn't want to disturb Tigress's meditation and turned on heel to leave. The young man can go back to the mountain to meditate.

"Leo?" He turns around to see Tigress looking over her shoulder to him.

"I didn't know you were going to be here." Leo simply said. "I apologize if I'm disturbing your meditation right now."

"You're not disturbing me, Leo. I was waiting for you here so we can meditate together." Tigress stands up and walks up to him. "Because it's been a few weeks since the food famish."

"I know." Leo slowly nodded.

"And Panther tells me you only slept four hours before you and the others went to the prison? Risa told said you and Panther slept together."

"Yes. I only did it in case Blake attack us out in the open when she slept next to me. I didn't want to risk it by getting attacked in the open." Leo answered.

"At least you didn't kill Blake yesterday. I'm surprised that you and Panther had this plan made five years ago." Tigress said.

"Hm."

"So is it true that Abra tried to steal you and Saber that afternoon when Po brought the food back?" Tigress asked him. "Shifu heard it from one of the Twilight Titans members, Wang Hathaway."

"I don't believe I met Wang before, Tigress. But Abra did try to steal me and Saber after I took pictures of dead animal corpses from the human world." Leo lowered his head.

"How?"

"I'm not sure. It's what the clone has been eating. After we escaped, I ran into Aken, a sorcerer. The clone and I had to work together to kill him."

"And after you killed Aken, you went to Gongmen City to tell Panther about it before deciding to stay there for a few days."

"Yes."

"And with Blake being around here, I understand why you stayed in Gongmen City. Damn. You've been busy."

"I know." Leo looks up at her. "I'm glad that Blake is friends again."

"I agree." Tigress said as Leo walks by her to lean on the trunk. "So when will you and the others leave for the Imperial City?"

"We're leaving at ten o'clock. It'll take us two days to get there because we're not using the Titans portals to arrive in the city."

"That does make sense." Tigress replied. She could imagine some of the citizens would be startled if Leo and the others come from a portal.

"Since we're both here, maybe we could meditate." Leo said to the orange feline.

"I like that." Tigress smiled.

Leo leans in and kisses Tigress on the cheek. The orange feline's face blushed. Just as Leo took a step forward, Tigress started to hug her boyfriend. She kisses him on the lips. Leo returns by kissing her back. They pulled back to get some air and the orange feline rests her chin on his shoulder.

"I love you, Leo."

"I love you too."

Tigress lets out a soft purr and rubs his check affectionately.

A couple hours later, Leo, Panther and the others were standing in front of the Jade Palace with Shifu, Po and Tigress.

"We'll be back in a couple days, Master Shifu." Leo tells his master.

"Travel safely." Shifu said to them. His student and guests bows to the senior red panda before leaving the palace.

Panther took one last look at Tigress before moving her head forward.

They continued traveling for a couple of days. Eventually, The Capital was within sight. The Capital was busy as usual. Leo notices the citizens was looking at them. Many of the citizens greeted Leo, Panther and their newcomers. Risa notices The Tower.

"Is that where The Emperor is right now?"

"Correct. We shouldn't keep Emperor Han waiting." Leo informs them.

They approach two imperial guards that were standing outside of the palace gates. The two guards led them to the throne room where Emperor Han is. Han's eyes widen in surprised when he saw Leo, Panther and some new friends. He smiled.

"It's good to see you and Panther again, Leo."

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Leo bows to the water buffalo.

"I take it you and Panther's mission is a success." Han said. "And I see you brought guests as well."

"Yes, we have." Leo nodded his head.

"Allow us to introduce ourselves, Your Highness. I am Risa Smith and this is Azel Potter. We are both members of Twilight Titans. It's an honor to meet you." Risa introduces herself and Azel.

"And we're with Gongmen City Police. I'm Lieutenant Jie, this is my brother Kiba and this is Kuo."

"The honor is all mine." Han chuckles. His eyes fell on the last person; Blake. The Emperor stares at him for several seconds until shifting his attention onto Leo and Panther. "I'm very well interested to hear the rest of your mission. Ack!" He coughed.

Leo and Panther had to spend almost an hour and a half to explain the rest of the mission to the Emperor Of China. The Emperor became shocked that the two humans had free Fenghuang from her manacle during the fight, but he understood that they only did it to stop Blake. The fight ended with Leo and Panther asking Blake a question. The two childhood friends had to present evidence to Blake. Then after looking at the evidence, Blake admits defeat. Han asked them if they showed it on their rectangular device, the iPhone.

Leo was surprised that The Emperor knows about it. Panther explained to Leo that she showed her iPhone to Han when she returned to the palace. The Emperor mentioned he was fascinated that a human device can do anything. Then he allowed them to continue. Once the two humans finished their report, The Emperor stands up.

"You two have done well to stop Blake. And now that the three of you are friends, I will not send Blake to prison." Han smiles at them.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Panther said.

"With that out of the way, I can retire." Han replied.

"You're retiring?"

"Yes, I am. I'm getting too old to rule China now." The old water buffalo approached them.

"So who will be your successor if you're going to step down?" Leo asked him.

"Hey there, everyone! Oof!"

Leo quickly turns around and used his foot to stop to Lu Kang sliding on the floor with a jar in his hoof. He pulls Lu Kang up onto his feet.

"I heard you were back!" Lu Kang smiles with excitement. "And you brought friends!"

"Yes, I have." Leo said.

"Did you hear the news that my grandfather is going to step down?"

"Your grandfather was just telling us about that before you came in here." Leo folded his arms.

"But that's not all. Grandfather chose me as his successor!"

Panther became surprised and Leo turns back to Han. "Is that true?" Leo asked him.

"It's true. I will be stepping down as Emperor and my grandson will be the next Emperor of China." Han explains.

"When will this happen?" Blake asked him.

"Tomorrow afternoon, but it's only a private ceremony for the royal family. Now that I think about it..." Hand started thinking about an idea. "I believe this could be perfect. How would you all like to be present at the private ceremony with the royal family tomorrow afternoon?"

"Are you sure, Your Majesty?"

"Not only will we have three wolves here, but it'll be also the first time in China's History to have several humans to be present for the ceremony."

"We'd love to be there tomorrow afternoon, Your Majesty." Panther said.

"Thank you, everyone." The Emperor smiled. "One of my guards will show you your rooms where you'll be sleeping for a couple days."

Everyone thanked the old water buffalo. The next couple of days were going to very interesting for them all.
