It has been a hot minute hasn't it? Sorry it took so long. I couldn't think of anything to keep this story going. I am kinda winging it here because I promised a devoted reader of this Fanfiction that I'd get a chapter out before the end of the year. I am sure you all will be able to tell my writing style has changed drastically from a year ago. The wait will not be as long for the next one. You have my word. Now, I've rambled for long enough. Let's catch up with the Exceeds, shall we?

Chapter 26: Separation

Natsu led Happy and Carla towards the Sabertooth guild. As the trio got closer, all three heard a roar that shook all of Gazania, as if an earthquake had happened. Happy cursed under his breath and said, "It can't be." Carla asked, "What is it, love?"

Happy spat, "Deliora." Natsu said, "You sure bud? Gray, you, Lucy, and myself watched it crumble because of Ur's sacrifice with the Iced Shell spell." Happy replied, voice full of confidence, "Yes. I am sure. Fucking Zeref. He can't be allowed to continue resurrecting his demons that Fairy Tail defeats!"

Carla asked, "Do we even have a chance against a demon as strong as Deliora?" Happy nodded and said, "Frosch, Lector, you, and myself do. We are the most powerful wizards alive currently." Natsu said, "If you think that, why don't you and I spar then?"

Happy chuckled and said, "We will Natsu. After this Journey. Take Wendy, Sting and Rogue when we get there and go find the other missing members of Fairy Tail and Sabertooth guilds." Natsu argued, "And miss out on the fight? You must be out of your mind, Happy."

Happy sighed and said, "Just trust me and listen to me damn it! You can fight the things protecting the other members of Sabertooth and Fairy Tail. Leave Deliora to Frosch, Lector, Carla, and me. We will destroy it once and for all. I promise."

Natsu argued, "You know damn well I can't leave you to fight alone!" Happy retorted, "I had to fight alone in Extalia! I remember it vividly! I was focusing solely on Carla's safety, throwing myself in front of danger! Making sure I took hits and bumps to keep her safe! I even fought to keep her safe for fuck's sake! I will be fine, damn it!" Natsu looked shocked at Happy's comments, but grumbled angrily and said, "Fine." Happy smiled and said, "Thank you."

Carla giggled quietly and thought to Happy, 'That was hot.' Happy blushed and shook his head. Another roar shook all of Gazania. Happy growled in anger, and his six flaming Aera Wings appeared on his back. Carla said, "Calm down love." Happy spat in disgust, "All of these innocent lives will be lost if we don't get there now! DOUBLE TIME! ON ME!" Happy dashed towards the Sabertooth Guild Hall. Natsu bolted after Happy.

Carla shook her head and mewed, "Males." Carla took after the two, an unknown power flowing through her.

Carla arrived close behind the two males. Sting, Rogue, Frosch, Lector, and Wendy turned towards them. The five ran towards their friends. Wendy said, "Happy! Carla! I am so happy you two made it here safely!" Lector and Frosch flew over to Happy and Carla. Happy asked, "Give me an update." Lector said, "The roaring is coming from the Sabertooth Guild Hall."

Happy said, "Fuck me." Carla teased Happy mentally, 'I mean. If you insist!' Happy blushed again and shook his head. Frosch asked, "What is it, Happy?" Happy replied, "Carla's teasing me as per usual. I know what the roaring is." Sting asked, "What is it, Happy?"

Happy answered, "Hell on Earth Land." Rogue replied, "That bad, eh?" Happy nodded and ordered, "Natsu, Sting, Rogue, and Wendy. I need you four to find the other missing members of our missing guilds. And before any of you start to argue, you can fight the creatures protecting them."

Sting asked, "Why can't we help here?" Happy responded, "Because I refuse to risk anyone's life. I'd fight solo, but I know Carla, Lector, and Frosch would never let me fight Solo if they can help it. Hell, it's a miracle I convinced Natsu to go with you three. It's one of the Demons of Zeref, Deliora." Rogue gasped in disbelief. Lector asked, "Wouldn't the extra firepower help?" Happy shook his head no and said, "We have all the firepower we need with you, Frosch, Carla, and myself. Us three toms for firepower, Carla with firepower and support. Besides, with the dragonslayers' looking for our lost friends, this journey will be over much sooner."

Wendy asked, "Is it wise to separate like this?" Happy replied honestly, "I don't know. But I know Carla, Frosch, Lector, and myself will be more than enough to destroy Deliora once and for all. Carla thought to herself, 'It's a good thing Happy isn't having them stay. My visions have yet to be wrong.'

Sting sighed and said, "If you managed to convince Natsu to not fight with you, must be a good reason. Fine. We will go look for the missing members." Happy mewed, "Thank you." The four Exceeds watched the dragonslayers leave the area.

Frosch said, "So. It's just us four again, eh?" Happy nodded and said, "It's for the best. I have a feeling that if they had stayed, they would not have survived this fight." Lector said, "Shit. This thing that strong?" Happy nodded.

Carla said, "So. What's the plan, love?" Happy chuckled and said, "Kill the fucking thing, don't die, and attempt to not have any innocents die." Carla scoffed and teased, "Wow. We have a tactical genius in our midst." Happy retorted, "You didn't let me finish. Optional objective: try not to destroy a shit ton of Gazania." Carla shook her head and said, "Alright Love. If we're doing this, we're doing this right. We will not enter the guild hall until I use some of my magic to buff us." Happy chuckled and said, "Sounds perfect Carla." Carla's body erupted in white. Happy, Frosch, and Lector had to shield their eyes to prevent from being blinded. When the three opened their eyes, Carla was no longer there. In her place was something that looked human.

Well. There we go. I know, it's short as fuck. But, I did say I was winging it. I do hope you all enjoy the update!
