The judgment — Chapter 33
Days passed and everyone went to Hamilton for the trial of Charles III and Willian Thatcher. It was a difficult trial for Elizabeth, seeing her family there cut her to the heart, even with all the suffering she had gone through and the fear of losing her beloved son, her heart still ached to see the man she had known since she was a child as her father. Willian Thatcher and Charles III, even with the best lawyers in canada, still the evidence against them and with so many crimes on their hands, they ended up going to prison for life, and Charles, in addition to the crimes against Elizabeth and little Jack, was also tried for the murder of Jack Thorton and Philip. Grace, Viola and Julia Thatcher, made a scandal in the courtroom where they were being tried, verbally assaulting Elizabeth when she was in the chair giving her part of the testimony, even in front of the judge, Viola and her sister Julia, couldn't control themselves advancing and attacking Elizabeth, which caused another complaint against all three women to be increased, after all now they had witnesses and there were many, they got fifteen years in prison each, each one being sent to a different prison, and so they would have to learn to survive without running over people. As for the henchmen, they got five years each, and Spurlok got fourteen years in prison. Charles, William and Spurlok would also serve their sentences, but in different prisons, so they wouldn't have a chance to form new plans or revenge. But even though they were imprisoned, they all shouted and threatened Elizabeth before leaving the courthouse swearing revenge.
Tom was devastated that he had once loved Julia and hadn't seen her true self. A heartless person, who always destroyed everything and everyone in front of her, without caring about the consequences and in the end even her own sister she tried to help kill and physically abuse, Tom noticed that Julia didn't have a guilty conscience about everything she did.
Charlote and Tom decided to sell their farm and buy another farm in Hope Valle, they would take care of Elizabeth and little Jack, after all they were their relatives and they would love and care for them as their son would. Both Charlote and Tom knew that Elizabeth now had her husband Nathan and their new daughter Alien, but Charlote wanted to be part of that family, besides she discovered that her love for Elizabeth was like that of a real mother, and that's what she would be now, a mother, a friend, everything she needed and Tom also decided that he would never fail his sister again, she would always be Jack Thorton's love.
Wynn asked for a transfer to Hope Valle, where he would be the head of a training center in Hope Valle for young mountie beginners, so that he and his family would be close to Elizabeth. So Frankison would also go there with his family, as lieutenant of this training center. As Hope Vale was in a growth phase and after all the shooting by Willian and Charles' henchmen, it was decided to have two fixed patrolmen, that is, two mountie in that town, so Nathan became captain and Gab sergeant in Hope Valle.
When they arrived in town, everyone threw a big party to welcome Elizabeth and celebrated her marriage to Nathan. She still had a limp from her injury, but according to Carson, she would be fine in a few weeks, but even that didn't detract from her beauty and charm in that beautiful dress that evening. There was a lot of laughter, hugs and dancing with various people until her husband claimed her and wouldn't let her go. Everyone noticed the glances between them, it was as if they were talking without words, their glances said it all, and there was such a great love there that everyone was amazed. Alien welcomed Elizabeth with a big hug, crying and squeezing her tighter and tighter in a bear hug, his eyes of admiration and love for Elizabeth visible to everyone, after Elizabeth spoke softly into his ear:
— Forgive me for everything, my child. I love you very much.
Alien didn't need anything else, her mother was there and it was what she had always wanted. Looking at her uncle Nathan, whom she had called her father since her adoption, she smiled and said:
— I love you too, Mom, and kissing him, she ran off to dance with Robert.
The party was beautiful, dancing all night long. Abgail and the women made delicious food. Jack Junior slept peacefully on Henry Gowen's lap, exhausted after so many hugs and kisses. That night, Rose and Lee stayed with the children so that Nathan and Elizabeth could have their honeymoon night alone. It was a night of love, lots of love, and by the time Nathan and Elizabeth realized it the sun had risen...
— Love... Hum ... she moaned softly...
— Nathan! Elizabeth asked, breathing on Nathan's neck, sweat dripping off his body and hers, she was panting and so was her husband.
— Um, my little wife...
— Nathan! What time is it? Look at the sun!
He turned to the bedside, took out his watch, and looking at the time said that it was eight o'clock... Elizabeth was startled, and even underneath her husband, who was resting his naked body on top of hers, she opened her eyes wide and, looking into her husband's eyes, spoke:
— Love, did we make love all night?
He smiled, that crooked smile of his... he brushed his fingers across her lips and, without leaving her, spoke into her ear, his voice hoarse with passion:
— Yes, love; we've been making love all night, and I want you again now, to start our day off right, and so he lowered himself, kissing her lips, and already provoking a fiery avalanche in her, filling her with small kisses on her neck; moans and more moans were heard in that room. And so they slept in each other's arms in the early morning...
