Before reading: this isnt a cross over. I just like the name Mina Harker. This is a pro Jason Morgan story and introducing new characters. Its a bit of an alternate universe/rewrite of history. thanks for reading.
The morning sun streamed through the windows of Bobbie's Diner, casting a warm glow on the cozy establishment. The breakfast crowd was light, and the atmosphere felt peaceful as Carly Corinthos and Jason Morgan sat in a corner booth, engaged in conversation. It had been a year since Sam McCall's death, and while grief still lingered, Jason was beginning to find a rhythm in life as a single father to Dann and Scout and spending time getting close with his son Jake.
"Honestly, I still can't believe how much noise they make for such little bodies," Carly chuckled, sipping her coffee. "You'd think they were trained by a marching band."
Jason smirked, a glimmer of affection in his eyes. "You should see them when they're excited about something. It's like a tornado hits the house."
Just then, the door swung open, and in walked a tall, striking woman. Mina Wells Harker's sharp features and piercing blue eyes immediately captivated the room. Her dark hair framed her face beautifully, and her warm smile lit up the diner. Carter Graham, seated nearest the door, couldn't help but stare, his green eyes widening in admiration.
"Oh great," Carly muttered under her breath, her brows furrowing. "Another one."
"What's wrong?" Jason asked, turning to see what had caught Carly's attention. He paused, taking in Mina's beauty and feeling an odd sense of familiarity wash over him.
"Just… can't we have one morning without someone stealing the spotlight?" Carly replied, her tone laced with playful exasperation. Carly could hardly stop the pang she would get when she saw another dark haired woman take up space in town. She had to share her men with more than one brunette beauty.
"Looks like you need to work on your jealousy," Jason teased lightly, leaning back in his seat and watching as Mina approached the bar.
"Hi! I'm Mina Wells Harker," she announced, her voice bright and friendly. "I heard Bobbie's has rooms and I'd love to know how to rent."
Carly rolled her eyes, but a smile crept onto her face despite hersel -- may be she can eat this one for breakfast. "I'm Carly, and I'm the owner. It's pretty simple, really. Just fill out an application, and we'll see if you're qualified to handle our unique brand of chaos."
Jason couldn't help but chuckle at Carly's dry humor, but his gaze remained fixed on Mina, intrigued by the connection he felt. Just then, Scout, Danny, and Jake burst into the diner, causing a ruckus.
"Oops!" Scout exclaimed, her eyes wide as she knocked over a stack of dishes, creating a loud crash.
"Thanks for the sound effects, Scout," Jason said, shaking his head with a fond smile. He quickly moved to help clean up the mess, but Carter stood up to lend a hand as well.
"Looks like you could use a babysitter," Carter remarked, flashing a grin at Jason. "You know, to prevent future disasters."
"Yeah, I guess I should consider that," Jason replied, a hint of amusement in his voice. "But I think I can manage."
Mina, who had been watching the scene unfold, laughed lightly. "I could use a fun job. Babysitting sounds like an adventure."
Carly raised an eyebrow, now genuinely interested. "You're serious? You'd want to babysit three energetic kids?"
"Why not?" Mina replied, her smile infectious. "I'm always up for a challenge... and I am a broke student. Good motivation."
As Carly gestured for Mina to follow her upstairs, she turned back for one last glance at Jason and the kids. An odd sense of longing and joy filled her chest, making her heart flutter. Something about the scene struck a chord deep within her.
Carter caught her gaze, his expression softening as he smiled back. Flustered, Mina quickly turned and headed up the stairs, her cheeks slightly flushed.
Outside the diner, a mysterious figure observed the scene from a distance. He first glanced at Jason and his family, a shadow of recognition crossing his face, before his gaze turned sharply to Mina as she disappeared from view.
Back inside, Jason sat back in his seat, thoughtful. There was something about Mina that stirred something with him, a feeling he had not recognized in quite some time.
"Hey, you okay?" Carly asked, noticing Jason's pensive expression.
"Just… thinking," he replied, his gaze drifting toward the stairs where Mina had disappeared. "There's something about her I can't quite place."
"Yeah, well, just keep an eye on her," Carly warned, her tone shifting to something more serious. "We don't know anything about her yet."
"I know," Jason agreed, his instincts kicking in. "But I have a feeling there's more to her story."
As the diner continued to buzz with life, the stage was set for Mina's entry into Port Charles—a place filled with secrets, connections, and challenges that would soon intertwine their lives in ways none of them could foresee. With a mix of excitement and trepidation, Jason couldn't shake the feeling that Mina's arrival heralded a new chapter—one that could change everything.
