A Thankful Heart-Ch 1
Well it's official it's tomorrow is Thanksgiving and Penelope had just finished working on her sweet potato pie for her hotstuff, she had made it the first time 3 years ago and he fell in love with it and had asked her every Thanksgiving since to please make it for him, to which she'd happily agreed.
Everybody was supposed to meet at Fran and Daves as usual for the holiday so Derek would be picking her up bright and early in the morning so they could get to casa Rossi to help with the festivities before it got to late.
Penelope was just getting ready to turn in for the night when she heard a knock at the door, she looked at her watch and wondered who would be coming to visit at almost midnight, she looked through her peephole and couldn't believe who she saw standing there.
She opened the door and said, "P P Payton", he smiled at her and said, "hello baby sister, long time no see, can we come in?", she said, "w w we?", he said, "yeah, we" as he motioned for the others to join him and she soon saw several other people standing there, three of which were her other brothers and there were two women also standing there that she'd never seen before.
She said, "come in, come in" as she stepped aside and let everybody come into her apartment and when everybody had come through the front door she closed it and turned to see them all smiling at her.
Penelope felt her heart racing, she looked at her brothers and they all said, "hello P", she said, "Payton, Parker, Patrick, Paul, what brings all of you here?", Payton stepped forward and said, "we're here to say we're so so sorry P", she said, "for?", Patrick said, "for everything that we did to you, everything we said to you back then".
Paul said, "so we're basically here to beg for your forgiveness", with tears streaming down her face she said, "you're really sorry?", Parker said, "we are P, we are so so sorry, we know it wasn't your fault that our parents died but you were the easiest to blame and for that we are truly sorry".
Penelope looked around at the two beautiful women that were with her brothers and Payton said, "this is my wife Shelly", Penelope said, "nice to meet you Shelly", Shelly hugged her and said, "nice to meet you to Penelope, I have heard so much about you from your brothers".
Parker said, "and this is my wife Sandy", Sandy stepped forward and hugged her and said, "it is nice to finally get to meet you Penelope", Penelope said, "it's nice to get to meet both of you too", she then motioned for everybody to sit down so that they could talk.
She'd found out that the brothers were all moving to Virginia to be closer to her, to make up for the time they lost since their parents had passed away, they were deep in conversation when her cell dinged, she picked it up and saw that it was from Derek, she sent a message back asking him to come over to her apartment, he replied, "be there soon".
Penelope was sitting and talking to everybody when Derek knocked on her door, she walked over and smiled as she saw his handsome face, he worriedly said, "are you alright?" as he walked through the door and saw her apartment filled with people, 4 of which he'd only seen in pictures.
Penelope said, "I'm okay hotstuff, these are my brothers, this is Payton and his wife Shelly, my brother Parker and his wife Sandy, this is Patrick and Paul", Derek said, "it's nice to finally meet all of you", Payton said, "it's nice to meet you too Derek".
Derek blew out a deep breath and said, "sweetness, woman, you scared your man to death when you asked me to come over this late, I thought something was wrong?", she shook her head and said, "no, nothing's wro" and before she could finish her sentence Payton said, "your man, P is this your boyfriend?", Penelope blushed and before she could say no Derek said, "not yet".
Penelope said, "what do you mean not yet?", Derek said, "let's talk about this later okay?", she said, "ohhhhh no mister, spill it, now", Derek said, "fineeeeee, Penelope Grace Garcia will you please be my girlfriend?"
