It was Tuesday, February 1, 2005. Eleven year old Veruca Salt, accompanied by her father, Rupert Salt, went on the tour of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory along with the four other golden ticket winners and their guardians.

During the tour of the Nut Sorting Room, Veruca demanded her father for a squirrel. Not just any squirrel, but a trained squirrel.

However, Mr. Wonka denied her what she wanted, which was what her father tried to do at first when she demanded a squirrel.

"Veruca dear, you have many marvelous pets," her father had said. But Veruca didn't care, not one bit. She angrily told her father that if he wouldn't get her a squirrel, she would get one herself.

So Veruca, ignoring her father and Mr. Wonka, went down there and walked up to one of the squirrels.

"I'll have you!" Veruca said as she reached out to grab the squirrel. However, the squirrel leapt at her, and she was attacked as the thirty-nine other squirrels swarmed her and knocked her to the floor.

"Veruca!" Mr. Salt worriedly shouted and rattled the gate. He shouted her name a couple more times.

Mr. Wonka then got out his ring of keys and purposely kept putting the wrong key in the gate. Mr. Salt stood watching helplessly as his daughter was attacked by the squirrels.

"Daddy, I want them to stop!" Veruca cried. By this time, she was pinned to the floor by the squirrels.

One of the squirrels then crawled onto Veruca's chest in front of her face and tapped on her head with its knuckles and deemed her a "bad nut." Then Veruca was dragged by the squirrels to the garbage chute in the middle of the blue and white striped floor, her nails scratching the floor as she tried to stop herself.

Veruca screamed as she slid right in and went down the chute.

Mr. Wonka unlocked the gate and opened it to let Mr. Salt go down to search for his daughter.

As Mr. Salt walked down the stairs, he paused as Oompa Loompas dressed in yellow jumpsuits came into the Nut Sorting Room to sudden music.

"Veruca Salt, the little brute,

Has just gone down the garbage chute,

And she will meet as she descends,

A rather different set of friends,

A rather different set of friends,

A rather different set of friends,

A fish head, for example, cut,

This morning from a halibut,

An oyster from an oyster stew,

A steak that no-one else would chew,

And lots of other things as well,

Each with its rather horrid smell,

Horrid smell,

These are Veruca's newfound friends,

That she will meet as she descends,

These are Veruca's newfound friends.

Mr. Salt walked down to the edge of the chute to try to find Veruca as the Oompa Loompas continued to sing.

Who went and spoiled her, who indeed?

Who pandered to her every need?

Who turned her into such a brat?

Who are the culprits, who did that?

The guilty ones, now this is sad,

Dear old Mum, and loving...Dad."

A squirrel then scampered over to Mr. Salt and pushed him from behind, and he screamed as he tumbled down the chute.

Mr. Wonka told the minimal tour group that the incinerator was broken. But that was a lie. It would be lit that day, as it was Tuesday, the day the garbage was to be burned.
