As Logan sets her down on her feet, he cannot seem to stop kissing her between their words of endearment.

"So... what now?" she asks when he moves to kiss her cheek.

"Now, we get married," he rolls his eyes, making her giggle.

"No, I mean now now."

"We kiss," he smirks at her and steals another smile.

"Logan!" she scolds him, but can't help to grin at his antics. She's way too over the moon to care.

"Rory!" Logan imitates her in a mocking manner.

"I'm serious," she laughs. "We have to go back inside. They must be waiting with their noses pressed against the window."

He lets go of her face to pull her closer by the hips, kissing her forehead.

As his lips touch her head, he notices that they are being watched from behind her.

What the hell is...? Oh, man. This evening is going to get very interesting.

He bursts out laughing, which momentarily startles her.

"What?"

"Don't be too obvious," he whispers, smirk still in place. "But we have an audience, and we didn't even notice."

Rory turns around as discreetly as she can, catching a very expectant Gilmore family watching them intently through the big living room window.

Richard and Lorelai turn around to each other and try to pretend they are oblivious to whatever is happening by faking a very painfully awkward conversation.

Christopher takes out his phone from his back pocket and pretends to answer a call.

Emily is the only one who doesn't break eye contact. In fact, she has both hands pressed against the window, bouncing up and down on her heels with a childish grin and anxious eyes.

"Oh... my... God!"

"She is literally pressed against the window," Logan keeps laughing.

I don't really know if it's the pure disbelief in Rory's expression, Emily looking at us like a dog waiting for a snack, the others pretending not to be snooping, or just the sheer happiness of the moment.

Whichever it is, I can't seem to stop smiling.

"For heaven's sake, she looks like she's about to watch her first R-rated movie!" Rory's expression changes to horror at the realization that her grandmother is going to go nuts over their wedding.

"Maybe she is," Logan wiggles his eyebrows and pulls her closer.

"You're not helping," she tries to put on her serious face, but fails miserably.

He gives her a quick peck on the lips and guides them both back to the salon.

As they enter, Emily rushes towards them with an unusually swift speed for someone her age.

Her smile and excitement suddenly disappear when she notices the absence of a ring on her granddaughter's left hand.

Quickly realizing this, Rory turns to Logan.

"Honey, I believe you forgot to... you know," she holds her hand out in the air for him to catch, putting on a show for her family.

This girl is something else.

"I knew we were forgetting something," he follows her theatrical lead, takes the ring out of its velvet box, and dramatically gets down on one knee to slide the ring onto her finger.

"I knew it! I knew it!" Emily startles everyone by, this time, actually jumping up and down.

"Mom!" Lorelai chides, looking at her mother like she grew up a second head.

"Well, congratulations are in order. Aren't they?" Richard approaches them smiling and pulls his granddaughter into a loving embrace before turning to Logan. "You have very serious cargo in your hands, young man."

"I am aware, Sir. Definitely out of my league."

"Welcome to the family, son." He chuckles.

I wish I had a grandfather like this. Wait… I do now, don't I?

While the rest of the family is congratulating Logan, Lorelai takes Rory away for a second and is suddenly laugh-crying with her between her arms.

"You are engaged," she whispers.

"Are you mad?" Rory's nervous tone makes Lorelai break the embrace and hold her face with both hands, not allowing her daughter to look away.

"Why on Earth would I be mad?"

"Because I know marriage is not what you wanted for me this young."

"Baby girl, all I ever wanted for you is to have the freedom to choose however the hell you want to live your life and the courage to stand up for it. And you are," her mother's voice is suddenly thick with emotion. "Marriage is something I don't have the best experiences with, mostly because of my choice of men." Rory chuckles between tears. "But I have a feeling you've chosen well."

"I did, didn't I?"

"Yes. So let's go and save that lucky bastard. Your Grandmother could be making him choose napkin colors and flower arrangements for all I know."

Grabbing Rory by the arm, both Gilmore girls make their way back to the party.

"How was it?" Logan whispers to her once she's back in his arms.

"Pretty good." She smiles up at him and hides her face under his chin, content in their embrace.

"Everybody! Raise your cups!" They suddenly hear Emily in the middle of the salon.

"Oh, crap..." Rory mumbles.

"And it is just the beginning, sweets." Lorelai teases her.

Suddenly, she locks her eyes with Logan's, who is very anxious about her reaction. But Lorelai just smiles warmly and squeezes his shoulder.

"Welcome to the family, son." She mocks her father's previous words, but the wink she gives him afterward makes Logan think she is not entirely joking.

Hello! I hope you are enjoying this story so far.

Since we don't have any OG plot for Logan and Rory's engagement, I will be doing my own take.

What do you think? Let me know!

As always, thank you for reading.

Love,
