No Turning Back for the Reapers
After the unexpected fight with the Soul Reapers and were able to settle on good terms, Izuku and the seven girls are following them to be led back to their city as they also look around to see how people are living the closer, they got to the Soul Society.
Izuku was the most concern about the people of the first part of the Seireitei, seeing them living in such poor conditions despite this place being the afterlife.
"I can tell you are deeply concerned for those you do not know." Retsu said, noticing this.
"Sorry, it just how I am back in my old life when I was alive. Being a hero means I have to do what I can to assure the people that everything is going to be alright." Izuku explained.
"Oh, so you were like a superhero." Rangiku was amazed a bit.
"Well, a superhero from another world if you will." Izuku said.
"Not only that, but Izuku here was one of the greatest heroes who had ever grace everyone with his powerful might and the kindness of his heart." Rana smiled, knowing how heroic Izuku was from the stories he told her and the girls.
"Were you a hero as well?" Isane asked, but Rana shook her head.
"Actually, we really didn't have many different superheroes and powers like Izuku's. My power is mostly the same as the others back in my world while fighting dangerous beings from other dimensions we called Nova." Rana explained.
"My situation is different, you could say I was the opposite…" Desumi stroked her cheek, hesitated to tell them about her time being a supervillain.
"You don't have to tell us about your past if don't want to, but I'm not interested in that." Toshiro said, sounding a little harsh.
"Whoa, you're harsh for a kid!" Desumi gasped.
"Kid…" Toshiro felt angered when being called a kid, but he tries to keep his cool.
"So, does that mean anything can become a Soul Reaper including little kids? Must have your own elementary school here if that's the case." Ryofu teased with a smirk which only made him feel extra angry.
"Oh god, you're fun! Wanna have a drink later?" Rangiku offered.
"Rangiku, you're going to get extra paperwork when we get back." Toshiro said with one eye twitching in anger and decided to punish for his lieutenant.
"No! Please, anything but that?!" Rangiku gasped in sadness.
"Captain Hitsugaya is very sensitive about his current appearance, but he is older than he appears considered we're all souls here as we age very slow than humans. He is also the youngest to have become a Soul Reaper Captain in record time." Retsu said.
"He's also a tough fucker though he wouldn't let me have a fight with him." Kenpachi added.
"Because there would be no point to it." Toshiro said.
"I can understand being underestimated just because you appear small, but one can prove you are stronger on the inside for everyone to see." Hapu stated with a nod.
"You can say that again, the fuckers who think they can mess with me for my size never lived to tell the tale." Rebecca smirked.
That made Toshiro smile a bit, finding two people who share the same pain for being small and mistaken for being a little kid despite the two of them being Hollows.
"I guess that makes you another awesome kid who got to become a Soul Reaper." Sophia complimented to Yachiru.
"Oh yeah, I'm super strong though not as strong as Kenny, but I can hold my own." Yachiru bragged.
"Still, seeing that first city we came from, and the more well-made buildings show that even peaceful places like Heaven has its own problems with living systems." Fubuki pointed out.
"Yes, I always thought that Heaven would be a more peaceful place with everyone living happily on equal footing." Rana remembered the lessons about Heaven and such.
"Oh please, if things were really all nothing but peace and crap like that then my own life would have been boring so much that I would commit suicide!" Kenpachi laughed.
"We do try to make peace for everyone as much as possible, but that is only when we are force to take action that some of you may disapprove." Retsu said.
"Sounds like Heaven is not all that peaceful." Ryofu shrugged.
"Which is why we Soul Reaper must do what we must to keep the balance between the Soul Society and the Living World, we must never show hesitation to eliminate to those who would threaten that balance." Soifon stated strongly.
This is starting to make Izuku feel like it's one of those problems his world has when heroes are trying to keep the peace, but there are times when others are suffering, and they were too ignorant to help them. Good thing Ochaco was able to help with that after becoming a Pro Hero.
Soon, the group arrives at a gate where they will enter the Soul Society though the eight new souls are very shocked to see the size of this gate.
"Holy Gigantic Standing Over the Fucking Town Shit!" Rebecca gasped.
"Okay, I was not expecting that." Fubuki was surprised to see a gate like that for the first time.
"Oh my, this gate looks like it could defend against thousands of Novas!" Rana tried to look for the top of this gate.
"Excuse me if you don't mind me asking but do you people have giants in your group or what?!" Desumi asked in shock.
"Not exactly, we do have some people who are taller than normal, but no giants." Isane said.
"But we do have something with the power to summon a giant to do battle for him. You're gonna have to see it for himself when you meet the dog guy." Kenpachi mentioned.
"Dog man? Hold on, are you telling me that you guys have different kinds of humanoid people in the afterlife too?" Hapu asked.
"Oh yeah, we have different kinds of people like that nerdy kid from Squad 12." Yachiru nodded.
"Well, this day just keeps on being full of things we're about to see." Fubuki commented.
"Jidanbō, open the gate. We have return." Soifon called out to the gatekeeper.
Then the giant gate started to open, and the giant figure of a man is revealed on the other side of that gate, Izuku and the girls are once again shocked to see a literal giant.
"Welcome back, I take it you have gotten what you were set out for." Jidanbō said to the people below him.
Jidanbō is an extremely large, muscular man, who easily towers above most Shinigami. His hair is tied into a ponytail, which extends down his waist. He has long sideburns, which continue down onto his neck and long enough to be tied up in small ponytail like tufts. He wears armor on his left shoulder and upper arm, plus a red hat with tassels. The left side of his chest is left exposed by his uniform. He uses twin axes in battle.
"He could be like one of those giant heroes!" Izuku exclaimed with his eyes widen.
"That's right, these eight individuals are special guests of the Soul Society. They are allowed to come with us." Toshiro informed.
"Really? Even the ones that are like Hollows?" Jidanbō asked in surprise as he looks at the four girls with skull masks.
"Yes. I know it's confusing but know that they are well-behaved. Most of them." Toshiro nodded.
"I think he's talking about you." Rebecca said to Desumi who looks at her in confusion.
"Just trust us on this one, big guy. If you got a problem with that then… maybe I can convince you to look the other way." Kenpachi glared with a scary glare that send shivers down the giant's spine.
"No, no, everything is fine. They may come in." Jidanbō gestured to the inside instantly feeling Kenpachi's killer intent.
"Follow us." Toshiro ordered as they walk inside.
"Hope you have a nice day, Jidanbō." Izuku smiled.
"Oh, huh, thank you." Jidanbō was surprised at how polite that boy is.
"(That boy, he seems nicer than that human boy who was here a month ago. But I can tell that he has the same strength as he does.)" Jidanbō thought saw something in that boy reminding him of the orange hair boy.
Izuku was amazes to see the inside of the Soul Society, home of the Soul Reapers, the sworn protectors of the afterlife and making sure the balance of life and death would remain as they are for as long as they are around.
This grand city is large and at the very center of the other cities they saw, hundreds of thousands of souls here are Soul Reapers with the powers to fight the evil Hollows and bring peace to the souls who haven't moved on from the World of the Living.
"I gotta say, having your own place and being close to get to work whenever you want looks pretty good. I wish I had that kind of lifestyle." Rebecca looked around.
"Considering this place is as big as a city, this place must also have the necessary supplies to keep yourselves steady such as meals and training facilities." Hapu figured.
"You seem to know these things more than you're letting on." Soifon said.
"In my world, you can never know when you're about to have a fierce battle with friends and rivals, so one must always be prepared." Hapu smiled.
"Yeah, you were a leader of the island you grew up on." Izuku remembered Hapu mentioned that.
"Yep, after my grandfather who inspired me to become the Island Kahuna." Hapu nodded.
"A big leader for a little girl, very impressive." Ryufo commented.
"So, how often do you Soul Reapers train?" Izuku asked.
"As often as we can for, we must always be prepared for any incoming danger that could threaten the World of the Living that would also affect the Soul Society as well. Even when everything seems peaceful right now, there is no telling when a threat will come." Retsu explained.
"In other words, you guys need to be strong like shit crazy so you can give me a good fight." Kenpachi said in his own words.
"You're missing the point, Zaraki." Toshiro said.
Rana spotted an interesting area where a building is in the center of a very big moat, she can tell that it's something important.
"What's that place?" Rana asked.
"That would be Central 46. It is comprised of forty wise men, gathered from all over the Soul Society, and six judges, they serve as the judiciary authority of the Soul Society. They also act under orders from the Soul King himself." Toshiro answered.
"But more than that, they're a real pain in the ass." Kenpachi stated his own opinion.
"Kenpachi, behave when speaking of the 46." Toshiro scolded.
"Oh great, let me guess: these jackasses are the ones calling in the big shots around here, but they're also make big decision that would leave others questioning them except their orders can't be turned around." Rebecca spoke of her own experience of knowing these types of shit.
"Did I get all of that right?" Rebecca asked.
"Well, that's not to say…" Rangiku found herself stumped, not being able to respond to all of that.
"Be it as it may, should Central 46 give an order then we must do so as Soul Reapers, carrying out our duties above all things is what's important." Soifon said.
"Even if it means making others suffer?" Izuku asked.
"It won't matter in the end if the lives we are to protect are killed in the end if you don't have the will to move forward." Soifon responded and continued walking again.
Izuku looks back at the seven girls each with their own thoughts about this, seeing that being a Soul Reaper is much harder than they expected when coming here.
But the Soul King himself brought them here for a reason and they are not going to turn away from the task given to them, not while there are still things they can do about this threat he told them.
"Wow, does everyone here live in tall buildings? I can see the place where we appeared from here!" Sophia was amazed at the view.
The scene now shows the Soul Reaper Captains and Izuku's group at the tall building where the meeting room of the squad captains are.
Izuku was also breathtaking by the view of this place, it's like this helps the Soul Reapers get a peace of mind from all the danger they have to face.
"Oh, I bet you get some serious training by jumping from this height." Sophia looked down.
"Are you serious?" Fubuki was surprised that Sophia would even think that doing something this dangerous could be training, and she's a full-trained Shinobi.
"Huh, I never really thought about that. Maybe I should do it myself." Kenpachi liked the idea.
"Not if you want to get in trouble with the Head-Captain." Soifon said.
"I'm sure old man Yamamoto wouldn't mind if you ask nicely." Shunsui joked as he walks up to them.
"Captain Kyōraku, were you waiting for us?" Isane asked in surprise.
"Yeah, I wanted to see what our otherworldly friends are like in person, and I have to say, I'm liking what I'm seeing." Shunsui glanced at the new females, almost looking perverted for a second there.
"Try anything and you'll be choking on that straw." Ryofu glared.
"How about I freeze his dick and break it." Fubuki said with a frosty air around her.
"Girls, please. Let just calm down and be on our best behavior, his guy is also one of our allies." Izuku said, trying to calm the tension in the air.
Fubuki and Ryofu look at each other for a second thinking about what he says and decided to not fight the man, they also knew that it would be pointless since he's one of the Soul Reaper Captains just like the ones with them.
"Wow, you must ways with the ladies if they're listening to you like that." Shunsui was impressed.
"Funny, someone I knew used to say that." Izuku chuckled, remembering how Ochaco would tease him about being popular with the ladies.
"Come on in, the old man is inside." Shunsui lead them into the room.
Izuku took in a deep breath and mentally ready himself for this first meeting with the Head-Captain of the Soul Reapers, he has to make a really good impression on him.
"Yo, Head-Captain Yamamoto, they're here." Shunsui announced and gestured to the group.
"Greetings, I have been expecting you." Yamamoto greeted.
"(That's the head macho? He looks like someone who got fucked up like a risen.)" Rebecca thought raised an eyebrow.
Yamamoto noticed the look from the pale green skin woman is giving him, so he decided to give a little lesson in respect to the elders by letting out a little of his Spiritual energy.
Izuku and all the seven girls suddenly felt everything around them is shaking while at the same time feeling this powerful pressure trying to push their bodies down like gravity is going to crush them, their bodies are shaking from fear of a powerful presence that is this old man.
"(This level of power… It's unreal!)" Ryofu thought gasped.
"(I don't think even my mother was this powerful.)" Fubuki thought sensed this man is stronger than her Youma mother.
"(Such power, he could make the Novas look like they're harmless as kittens!)" Rana thought was shocked.
"Shit! This old dinosaur is doing this?" Rebecca felt heavy with her breathing.
Hapu and Desumi and Sophia are speechless on the intense power that they are feeling from this old man, showing them that he is the top dog around here.
Izuku is also feeling this immense pressure, it almost reminds him of the time with All for One and Tomura when they were dangerous threats to the world, but he can tell that this old man wants to see something from this.
Izuku stood his ground, tighten his fists, and look directly at Yamamoto in the eyes before letting out words.
"My name is Izuku Midoriya, I am honor to be here and will do my very best to work with you to fight the danger!" Izuku greeted him strongly while withstanding the Spiritual Pressure.
"(Wow, it's like he isn't affected by Head-Captain's spiritual power.)" Rangiku thought amazed. The others were also impressed with Izuku's respond to the powerful pressure.
Yamamoto can see this boy has shown stronger willpower to even speak to him under his Spiritual power, so he stops his little test.
"Was that really necessary, Head-Captain?" Retsu asked as she looks at the girls still shaken up a little.
"I wanted to see the warriors I'm gonna be working with. The boy seems durable, barely. We'll see how the rest fairs." Yamamoto explained.
"Now listen up, the moment you set foot in the Soul Society, there is no turning back. There is no backing down, you will be trained to fight the Hollows and dangerous threats, fight with your very lives on the line!" Yamamoto tapped his stick on the floor causing a little shockwave.
"When we're through with you, the people you once were back in the living will be no more. You will become something more. Are you prepared to face the challenges ahead?" Yamamoto asked.
Izuku look back at the girls seeing them still a bit scared, but seeing how Izuku still has that strong fire in his eyes, the will to push through, they felt something in them to stand up strong as well.
"The lives of the souls here and that of the living will know peace because… We are here!" Izuku declared with his katana out and held high into the air as the girls behind him do the same.
Yamamoto smiles at the eight new souls, thinking that training them is going to be fun for him as he is going to see what they're truly made of.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
