The next morning
She slowly opens her eyes and looks at her watch. She sighs in relief when realizes that Lucky is visiting his parents in Port Charles and she never goes. He will be back in two days. He said something about getting an outlaw's perspective. She has not been back since they left and she has no desire. Well except for the one time that no one knows about her family decided to fly Gram's body to Colorado where Grandpa Steven was buried. She feels him and she tries to move but he grabs her harder. " Jason I have to use the bathroom," she said. He releases her and she grabs her bag of clothes and locks the door.
He is not getting her in here. He must have screwed her so good she forgot which is a first. She gets cleaned up and dressed. She sees the sheets have been replaced and the bed made up. Neat freak. She smells breakfast and makes her way upstairs. He slides her hot chocolate the way she likes it even now. He hands her a plate and they sit at the island and eat next to each other. " What you did last night does not change how I feel about you but I need to know why?" He says as he sips his coffee.
" Does it matter why I did it? I have never asked you why you do it." She said. " We both know why I do it." He said. " I will answer your question if you answer mine." She said. " You eliminated my marks and the bullets whizzed past me so fast if I were a different human being I would not felt it. I was two buildings in front of you and I was able to deduce from where the shot came from. Imagine my surprise when it was you." he said. " Why am I not surprised you could figure it out that fast." She said. " Answer my question." he said." They took something from me and I figured they would pay with their lives." she said. " What did they take?" He said. "I do not know. I just know that ever since my coma I have been different and sometimes I lose time. I know you want a different answer but that is my honest answer." she said,
"Losing time. Does that happen often and have you been to a doctor to get checked out?" He asks. "It is weird to describe when it does happen I will be doing something and for a moment I will see someone from afar that looks like you and then I am right back where I started. The problem is I will check the time it will be hours later. I have tried to track myself before but I never could. I never got checked out because it only happened five well six if I counted last night." She said.
"Does it happen for long periods?" He said. " There was only one time where I disappeared for ten months and that freaked Lucky out so bad that he was hovering. He had my parents, Nikolas, and Sarah keeping tabs on me but I told him that if he did not stop I would walk away. They all had their own lives and they should live them. After that, I know he has a cop watch me when he is out of town so I get creative with slipping out undetected. I only work part-time as a Nurse so he thinks I am staying at home for the weekend. I need to leave now because I know he tracks my phone and my phone is in Boston." She said. " That is a four-hour drive how were you planning to get there so soon." He said. "I always have a backup plan and you can follow me for all I care but I am leaving with or without you Morgan." She said.
He lets her drive because he is curious and they end up at a private airstrip. She speed walks to the plane and he gets on. He is curious because he sees no pilot." Strap in and I will let you know when you can remove your belt." She said. Oh my gosh, she can fly. What has she been up to all this time on top of killing people? He still is not sure how he feels about her doing that but knows she has a reason. His Elizabeth would not harm anyone and if she did there is a purpose. They are finally in the air and the plane is just the right size to fit four people comfortably.
" So you are not only a Nurse but you are a pilot?" Jason said. " It is something I picked up and it comes in handy. No one in my family knows about it and I will keep it that way." She said. " Plan on escaping one day." He said. " If I were you would never know because after this plane ride we have to separate." She said. " Why would I leave you again knowing that you need me?" He said. " I have been doing just fine and no one has been the wiser. They still think I am a man and only a month ago did they figure out the deaths are connected. Little do they know there are other deaths they do not know about. If they did they would bring the FBI in and I purposely made sure they only connected a handful of deaths." She said. " I want to help you and figure out why you are doing this. You would not do something like that without reason. Killing innocent people is not who you are hell killing people is not who you are." He said.
"Who says there are innocent people because according to you I stole your marks and I know you have a code. Maybe our reasons were different but either way, they were going to die. So why don't you tell me why you were going to kill them." She said. Jason sighs and says " I can't tell you I'm Sorry." Elizabeth thinks some things never change. " You ask me a million questions and I answered them. You demanded I come with you and I followed without question. I am pretty sure that since I woke up naked we slept together and I can't remember but you can't answer my question. You are such a hypocrite" She said.
" I am trying to protect you damn it," Jason said. " No, you are protecting yourself which is fine. I will go back to my life and you can go back to yours. Thanks by the way for killing those dickheads because you saved me the trouble." She said. " Fine you are partially right about me protecting myself but I am not lying about protecting you. I am like you because when I woke up I felt different and I felt this need to do something but I could not figure out what until I had my first blackout. After the blackout, I still do not know what happened but after it, I knew what I had to do. I know something was taken from me but I do not know what but the people I kill have something to do with it. I have tried connecting them but I can't which is why we should work together to figure out the blackouts, figure out what they took from us, and figure out how they are connected." He said. " If we do this there is no going back." She said. " I am prepared for that." He said. " Well, then partner looks like we have some investigating to do with a side of killing." Oh boy, she is going to be trouble but then again ever since that first night at Jake's, they both looked for trouble and found it each other. If he only knew she would be his equal and that he would fall in love with her. One thing is for sure nothing will tear them apart again and he will do whatever it takes to make sure that does not happen.
