Chapter 2: Aro POV
I stood up from my spot next to Isabella and walked over to Marcus. He held his hand out for me and I took it allowing me to be able to read every thought he's ever had. I surprised to see what he saw. Mating lines between Isabella and myself. I couldn't help but think about how young she was...but then again when you found your mate it didn't consider things like that.
When I released his hand I look him in the eyes. "Thank you brother." I said. Marcus nodded his head. I turned and walked back over to Isabella and took my seat beside her. "Now, back to business. How did you come to learn about us?"
She told me about how she discovered what we were on her own based off of Edward's actions. Then she told me about how Edward admitted to her that she was his singer and mate. This was obviously false information. Strike one. Then she told me about the birthday party that Alice had thrown for her. It was amazing that she hadn't been killed that night. Strike two. Finally she told me about the night that he broke up with her and left her. I heard Alice gasp across the room, letting me know that this was a shock to her. When she told me that he left her alone in the forest I got pissed. That's Strike three. I tried to remain calm in front of Isabella. "I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that." I told her.
She lowered her head. "Thank you for your kindness. What will happen to me?" She asked.
"Well, there are a few things that we need to discuss in private but that's for later. Essentially I will have to change you. Are you okay with that?" I asked.
She nodded her head. "And Edward? What will happen to him?" She asked me.
"He'll be put on trial. He's committed several crimes that need punishment." I said.
"I'VE DONE NOTHING WRONG! GIVE ME MY MATE!" Edward yelled.
"Demetri take Edward to the catacombs to await trial while I summon Carlisle." I said and he and Felix took Edward away. I turned to Alice. "And you… what shall I do with you?" I asked.
"The only crime I'm guilty of is not turning her myself." Alice said.
"We shall see." I said as I waved her forward and she held her hand out for me. I read her very thoroughly. She had no knowledge that Edward was going to break up with Isabella in the manner that he did. So therefore she was innocent…for now. I released her hand. "You are innocent. For now."
"Thank you Master Aro." Alice said.
I nodded. "Now, Isabella, would you care to accompany me to my office?" I asked her.
"Of course your grace." She said and I beamed.
