Her True Fate

Takes place during New Moon, After spending time in La Push with Jake and the rest of the wolves Bella realizes Edward was never her mate. That if he had been, he'd never would have left her. But when Alice comes to take her to Volterra to save Edward, she wonders who her mate really is.

4. Chapter 4

Chapter 4 - Carlisle POV

It had been three days since Alice had left to check on Charlie. She'd had a vision of Bella killing herself. However everything changed when Edward called and Rose told him about Alice's vision. I knew that Edward would have gone to see the kings but I wasn't sure what the outcome would be. And with Alice not here I couldn't see anything.

I was sitting in my home office working on some paperwork when my cell phone rang. Looking at the caller ID, I saw that it was Demetri. This couldn't be good. I quickly answered. "Demetri." I said.

"Carlisle, good. Your coven's presence is required at Volterra." He said.

I sighed. "Is it Edward?" I asked.

"I can't say. Just that Master Aro asked me to call you." Demetri said.

"Of course. I'll summon the entire coven." I said.

"Good. We'll see you asap." He said and hung up.

This definitely wasn't good. I quickly gathered the remaining members of our coven and told them we were being summoned to Volterra. Like always Rose had a snarky comment.

As we all packed for our trip I couldn't help but worry about Bella and hope that she was safe.
