Finally, I finished exams and am back to updating. Firstly though, I feel like I should apologise to all of you reading this. I didn't update this story for a whole year. Quite frankly, as weird as it sounds, a flame I got a few days back really got to me and while it could have been said in nicer words, I have been neglecting this story. So, for that I'm deeply sorry.

On the positive side though I have gotten much better as a writer, so I can now give you a chapter of much better quality, as I was writing other stories on the side. But anyway, to make up for neglecting this story for a year, I give you all a chapter which now doubles the total amount of words written for this story, breaking 10 000 in fact.

Please read the note at the end as I require your collective opinions on something which will
definitely change the story's direction depending on the choice.

Chapter 3 – Clash of the Titans

'Oh, Planet Vegeta you say? Explain?' Questioned Vegeta.

'Of course my lord, you see, this planet is not to be confused with the original Planet Vegeta which your father ruled over, no, it is a new planet which has been built solely for you my lord, to restore honour to all Saiyans everywhere.' Responded the kneeling figure that was Paragus.

'Hah! A planet built solely for me. You have been busy Paragus, but also foolish. Our original planet was destroyed by Frieza and no cheap copy can ever replace it.' Stated Vegeta, while walking away.

'You have wasted your time Paragus, now leave.' Finished Vegeta.

'Please, if you will not come back to rule, then I beg of you, please rid us of The Legendary Super Saiyan.' Said Paragus, stopping Vegeta in his tracks and unknowingly gaining Gohan's attention, who cracked an eye open while remaining in his mediative stance.

While Paragus proceeded to explain how the Legendary Super Saiyan was terrorizing the South Galaxy, Piccolo too, broke out of his meditation and looked at Gohan, who was listening attentively to Paragus.

'Hey kid, what are you thinking?' Said the gruff voice of Gohan's first mentor.

'Just thinking, if there really is a Saiyan going around and terrorizing an entire galaxy, who is able to destroy planets in seconds, what are the odds that Paragus and his followers were able to safely travel all the way to Earth from the South Galaxy, without being destroyed?' Questioned Gohan rhetorically.

Piccolo studied Gohan and observed that Gohan was staring at Paragus with suspicion.

'Well kid, despite how young you may be, you are by far the strongest and smartest out of us all, trust your instincts and they won't lead you wrong.' Said Piccolo, before immersing himself once again back into is meditation.

'Vegeta.' Said Gohan, as he walked over to Vegeta and Paragus.

'Insolent brat! You must refer to him as Prince Vegeta.' Said Paragus haughtily, with murmurs of agreement from most of the soldiers.

Gohan merely looked at Paragus with a bored expression, before continuing with what he wanted to say.

'I say we go and meet this Legendary Super Saiyan, don't you agree?' Said Gohan, with a slight smirk.

Vegeta was initially surprised that the spawn of the peace loving Kakarot was actually looking forward to finding a maniac who could destroy planets in seconds, but then rationalised that even Kakarot would want to fight him as well. Peace loving or not, he was a Saiyan.

'Very well, Paragus, I will rid you of your pest.' Said Vegeta arrogantly, getting a grin from Paragus, who had a subtle glint in his eye.

"Yep, this guy is very suspicious." Thought Gohan, having noticed the look Paragus had upon hearing Vegeta's response.

After a fairly long space flight, the group consisting of Vegeta, Krillin, Trunks, Master Roshi, Oolong and Gohan, as well as Paragus and his men, arrived at New Vegeta.

'So Paragus, when can we start looking for this Super Saiyan?' Asked Vegeta.

'Ah, very soon my lord, in fact, I will enlist the services of my son Broly to help you. He isn't as strong as you of course, but he is a fine Saiyan warrior. Ah there he is, come Broly.' Said Paragus.

Broly was a light skinned Saiyan with dark eyes and long spiky black hair, reaching to mid-back, with short bangs framing his forehead. Broly was very tall with a lean, but well-built frame. He also wore a crown with a blue jewel. In addition to the crown, Broly wore a golden necklace, boots, wristbands, and a belt, which all sported blue jewels like his crown, along with golden bands on his upper arms and neck. The rest of his attire consisted of white pants and a red sash. For some reason, his face looked quite expressionless, almost melancholy.

'*Humph* This is your son? Very well, come Broly.' Said an unsatisfied Vegeta, before walking off to begin his search for The Legendary Super Saiyan, with Broly following after.

Gohan watched Broly with suspicion, having sensed a great deal of suppressed energy from him.

"Something isn't right here." Thought Gohan, before walking off himself, with Krillin tagging along.

'Hmm, Krillin, do you feel as though something is, well, fishy about this whole situation?' Asked Gohan, to one of his father's oldest friends, as they aimlessly flew around the planet.

'Well now that you mention it, that Paragus guy did look pretty shifty, and what is up with his kid, he was so tall?' Said Krillin, slightly annoyed at the Saiyan's height in comparison to his own.

'Can't be too sure, but did you feel a lot of power coming off him?' Asked Gohan in curiosity.

'Uh, well not a lot, but well, I would probably say he was only about as strong as second form Cell.' Said Krillin, making a comparison internally.

"Interesting, I felt a lot more power coming off Broly, could it be that Krillin can't sense it, or, the more probable explanation, that only I can sense it." Pondering the young warrior.

'Hey, what's that over there?' Asked Krillin, breaking Gohan out of his internal musings.

Gohan turned his attention to where Krillin was pointing and noticed strange creatures with green skin and pink hair, who were clad in blue rags, carrying equipment from place to place. Krillin and Gohan dropped down near two of them which appeared to be a young child and his grandfather.

'Oh I'm sorry, we weren't goofing off or anything.' Rambled the small child, before Krillin interrupted him.

'Don't worry about it, we aren't your boss or anything.' Said Krillin, putting the young child's worries at bay, allowing him to tend to his grandfather, who was coughing heavily.

'What are you trying to do out here; it doesn't look like this area can support anything?' Asked Gohan, as he surveyed the area.

'Nothing, it is useless! We work here all day and are barely fed.' Replied the child, as he tried to pick up the tool his grandfather dropped, when he started coughing.

In an instant, Gohan appeared in front of the child and gripped the leg of one of Paragus' men, who had just tried to kick him.

'What do you think you are doing, attacking a small child?' Asked Gohan, in a deadly tone of voice, before releasing his grip on the leg.

The soldier pulled out a yellow whistle which he promptly blew into, calling other soldiers to the area, before giving a self-satisfied smirk.

'What, was that supposed to intimidate me?' Asked Gohan rhetorically, raising his energy slowly.

'Oh hey guys, what's up?' Greeted a jovial Goku, who had just teleported to the planet.

'Ah, you must be Bardock's son, Kakarot, or as you go by now, Goku.' Said Paragus, who had just appeared on the edge of the pit the Z warriors were standing in.

Gohan later met up with Trunks back at the castle and together with Krillin, filled him in on what they found. The three of them then gathered up some food and took it to the workers who, for all intents and purposes, were slaves.

The three of them were discussing the possibility of who the Legendary Super Saiyan could be, when they felt Vegeta's energy level appear on the planet.

'So Trunks, why do you think it can't be Broly, sure, he may look weak, but maybe he is suppressing his power level like us? Remember the Ascended Saiyan forms? Well maybe his is suppressing his power in a way similar to, but directly the opposite of those forms.' Spoke Gohan, while maintaining his senses on Broly and Vegeta's power levels.

'Well… I suppose when you put it like that it is possible, but why would Broly, if he is the Legendary Super Saiyan, need to suppress his power level so much in the first place?' Asked Trunks in confusion.

'Well maybe, it isn't his choice; maybe someone is suppressing his power externally.' Mused Gohan before feeling a sharp spike in Broly's Ki near his dad.

'I'll be back in a minute guys.' Said Gohan, before teleporting outside the castle, near where Goku and Broly were.

Broly was staring intensely at Goku, as a green aura began to emanate from him. His clenched his knuckles and his eyebrows furrowed in strain. Goku stood opposite him, staring him down with a hard expression, a yellow aura being released from him met Broly's green aura in the middle.

Paragus, unbeknownst to the pair, raised his right hand, which had a strange gauntlet of sorts, with a green jewel on it and muttered behave. Gohan watched all this from outside and noticed, after a brief interruption by Master Roshi, Broly did in fact calm down.

"This is entirely too suspicious. Paragus has a device to control Broly, that much is pretty clear. However, the question is, for what purpose?" Pondered Gohan thoughtfully, before teleporting back to Trunks and Krillin.

Later that night, all the warriors from Earth, minus Vegeta and Trunks, were sleeping in a room peacefully. The peace didn't last long however, as Master Roshi bit down on Oolong's foot, at which point, Broly smashed through the door and dive-bombed Goku's mattress with a superman punch, with Goku barely avoiding it, before Broly threw the mattress to the side and kneed Goku out the window, following in hot pursuit.

'Krillin, stay here.' Said Gohan, before he flew out the Goku shaped window.

'Uh yeah, sure.' Said a drowsy Krillin.

Gohan flew at top speed and saw Broly launch a green orb of energy right into Goku's face. Broly followed up with a clothesline, but Goku dodged it by doing a backflip, while simultaneously kicking Broly in the face. Broly growled, before a bluish aura started to surge around him, giving his hair a neon blue colour with a purple tint, his muscles doubled in size and his aura created a crater below his feet.

'Kakarot just die.' Said Broly quietly, before disappearing in a burst of speed and reappearing with his fist logged in Goku's stomach. Goku gasped for air, before being launched away at frightening speeds, crashing into a small mountain.

Broly slowly flew to the area near where Goku had crashed and smirked. Gohan hovered over the area, waiting to see when his dad would retaliate, but instead, spotted Paragus appearing behind Broly first, before Goku broke out of the rubble.

'Broly calm down!' Shouted Paragus, as he raised his hand up with Goku also telling Broly to calm down.

Broly screamed as the green aura around him increased.

Gohan noticed the green jewel in the hand of Paragus and noticed it resonating with the crown on Broly's head and made a split second decision with huge repercussions.

Broly abruptly stopped screaming and gasped heavily.

Paragus looked on in shock, as the device he had specially crafted to control his son, was destroyed by one blast from the spawn of Kakarot, who was now staring him down from his position, just above his father.

Goku blinked in confusion at the sudden mood change and looked up at Gohan.

'Hi Gohan, when did you get here?' Asked Goku happily.

'You…you, what have YOU DONE!' Shouted Paragus in rage and slight fear.

'Father, you haven't been very nice these past few years.' Said Broly in an eerie tone, hair now the customary blond of a Super Saiyan transformation, which made Paragus shiver.

Before anything further could happen, an irate Vegeta, as well as Trunks, showed up.

'Well Paragus, do you have something to say about why you have been lying to me; me, the prince of all Saiyans and sending me on a wild goose chase, when the so called Legendary Super Saiyan, was your son?' Asked Vegeta in a clipped tone.

Paragus, despite the situation, laughed.

'You fool, Vegeta; you, the prince of all Saiyans?' Mocked Paragus.

'Bah, your father, the so-called King of all Saiyans was terrified of Broly, he even went as far as to have him executed when he had just barely been born, in fear. Fear that a child, not even weaned, possessed more power than him, a fully-grown man, supposedly the strongest Saiyan at the time. He was such a narrow-minded fool. He didn't even realise that Bardock, Kakarot's father, was on the verge of surpassing him. Even now, his arrogance lives on, in you. A man claiming to be the prince of all Saiyans, yet despite this, he is currently the weakest Saiyan alive, even your son is stronger than you. HAH and now your arrogance will lead to your end, Broly, kill him.' Finished Paragus smugly, before noticing that no one, aside from a fuming Vegeta was listening.

'You know Paragus, you are mostly right in what you said, but you made one mistake. You said that I was the weakest Saiyan alive, but you are still living. I need to change something it seems, for what you just said to be even remotely true.' Said Vegeta, before he charged up a blast of energy, causing Paragus to pale in fear, before Broly lunged at Vegeta and gave him solid punch to the face, before kicking him away.

'Father!' Shouted Trunks, before he too was sent flying by a superman punch to the gut.

'Yes! That's the way Broly.' Said Paragus happily, before he noticed Broly turned to stare at him.

'Sorry father, that wasn't for you, I just want to make sure I am the one who kills you, WITH MY BARE HANDS!' Shouted Broly, before picking up his father by the head, with a claw like grip, before launching him away and chasing after him, landing multiple punches and kicks to Paragus' body.

'So, uh… should we check up on Vegeta?' Asked Goku in confusion, before a massive blast of golden energy erupted from where Vegeta was launched.

A livid Vegeta flew by at top speed already in his Super Saiyan form.

'Uh, guess not.' Mumbled Goku, while scratching the back of his head in his usual way.

'Dad, you go check on Trunks, I'll make sure Vegeta doesn't get himself killed, he doesn't realise it, but Broly is holding back his power still… a lot.' Said Gohan calmly, before going Super Saiyan and flying after Vegeta.

-line break-

Goku flew in Trunks' direction at top speed, before finding him pushing a massive slab of rock off his body.

'Hey Trunks, are you alright?' Asked Goku cheerfully.

'Yeah, I'm fine Goku, but why didn't you go help Vegeta, if he fights Broly, he will need help? As much help as he can get, even if his pride doesn't want him to admit it!' Replied Trunks fearfully.

'Ah don't worry about it; Gohan went to help and he can actually feel Broly's real power level.' Said the Saiyan from Earth.

'What! You mean Broly is still suppressing his power?' Asked Trunks in shock.

'Uh-huh, it seems so, that is what Gohan said.' Said Goku thoughtfully.

'What, you mean you can't sense it Goku?' Questioned the shocked time-traveller.

Goku placed a hand under his chin, before replying with a thoughtful tone.

'Well, I can tell he is suppressing some of his power, but I can't tell you how much accurately.' Admitted Goku sheepishly.

'Well quick then Goku we need to go help.' Urged Trunks, fearing for his father,

'Alright, grab on, I'll teleport us near where they are fighting.' Said Goku, as he placed two fingers on his forehead, before they both vanished.

-line break-

Paragus' body slumped to the ground, littered with bruises, with blood trickling from his mouth.

Broly took slow methodically steps towards his downed father, shoes making a tweaking sound with every step he took, until he arrived at his destination, one step away from Paragus. Broly picked Paragus up by the scruff of his shirt and started charging up a green sphere of energy, before a foot slammed into his face. The scene stayed still until Broly released his grip on Paragus, before grasping the leg that had struck him and swung the body attached to the leg with great force into Paragus, sending the two bodies flying into a decrepit building.

'Father!' Shouted Trunks, before rushing after Vegeta.

Broly turned around and stared at the other full blooded Saiyan in the vicinity.

'Well Kakarot, I can always get back to Paragus later, although, in the meantime, why don't you die!' Shouted Broly, before charging up a green sphere once again, which he launched at Goku, who quickly turned Super Saiyan and outstretched both hands to stop the blast.

Broly gave a bloodthirsty smirk, before disappearing in a burst of speed and appeared behind Goku, with another sphere of energy primed and ready, which he promptly threw at Goku, causing a massive explosion.

'Well half-breed, aren't you going to say anything, your father is dead?' Taunted Broly, angling his head up and to the side, staring straight at Gohan, who was hovering there with his arms crossed over his body.

'Yeah, don't underestimate him.' Said Gohan, before a massive Kamehameha wave blew past his right shoulder and slammed into Broly, kicking up a dust cloud.

'Dad, aren't you cutting things a bit close, you barely escaped that last attack?' Asked Gohan in a flat tone with a hint of worry, turning his eyes to the right.

'Ah don't worry son, I haven't gotten serious yet.' Replied a nonchalant Goku.

'Yeah I know, but he is still holding back as well.' Said Gohan, turning his eyes back to the area where the Kamehameha blast struck.

'Kakarot. Kakarot. KAKAROT!' Shouted Broly, as a sphere of green energy surrounded him, before exploding outwards, revealing Broly's new form. Broly gained an extra metre in height and his muscles had tripled in size now, reaching grotesque levels. His hair had lightened from the usual golden yellow to a pale green and his eyes where now pure white, his pupils having disappeared.

'Dad, I think he is taking things seriously now.' Said Gohan, as he uncrossed his arms.

'You're right son.' Said Goku in a level voice, as he put up his guard.

-line break-

'Do you feel that Vegeta *cough* that is the power of the Legendary *cough* Super Saiyan. You could never hope to beat him.' Wheezed Paragus painfully.

Vegeta sat there stunned, feeling the immense power coming off Broly.

"It is just like with Cell, my kick didn't faze him at all. Worst of all though, Broly's power is level is more than five times greater than Cell's. Even the spawn of Kakarot isn't that strong and he is stronger than all of us, as much as I hate to admit it." Thought Vegeta with a grimace.

'Well Vegeta, it seems you now understand the hopelessness of your situation.' Said Paragus, as he dusted himself off and begun to fly away.

Trunks arrived shortly thereafter and quickly checked up on Vegeta.

'Father, are you ok?' Asked Trunks in worry.

'He is the Legendary Super Saiyan.' Mumbled Vegeta, frozen in fear.

'Dad, I think it is time I help you out; I don't think playing with him anymore is safe.' Said Gohan seriously.

Goku gave a small nod, but never took his eyes of Broly.

'Father and son, working together. Very well, I will make sure I kill you both together.' Said Broly menacingly, before gathering up more power.

Gohan quickly charged Broly, before he could gather too much energy and kicked him in the gut, causing him to lean forward slightly, after which Gohan followed up with an uppercut, which closed Broly's mouth and ceased his cries.

Broly licked a bit of blood that dripped down his lip, before back handing Gohan away, sending him flying.

'Gohan!' Cried Goku, before Broly grabbed him in a bear hug and proceeded to squeeze the life out of him.

-line break-

'Dad come on; we have to help Goku.' Urged Trunks.

'We can't. No one can, we are doomed.' Muttered Vegeta, causing Trunks to take off in the direction of Broly, when he felt Gohan start to power up.

-line break-

As the cloud of dust disappeared Gohan walked in the direction he had just been sent from. Gohan briefly brought his right thumb up to his lip and wiped away the blood that was trickling down from his busted lower lip.

'Know this Broly, you brought this on yourself.' Whispered Gohan harshly.

Gohan clenched his fists and squatted down, before a massive golden aura sprung up around him. Gohan screamed intensely, as his hair started to lengthen once again, before standing up straighter and becoming more rigid. When Gohan finished his transformation into a Super Saiyan 2 he took a deep breath.

'I suppose I won't need to hold back at all this time, Broly is much stronger than Cell.' Said Gohan with a smirk, before teleporting to where he felt Broly's power clashing with his father's and Trunks' power levels.

-line break-

Goku and Trunks both got a clothesline at the same time, courtesy of Broly, before they felt a massive power level explode in the distance.

"No way, is that Gohan?" Pondered Trunks in shock.

"Make me proud son." Thought Goku feeling the immense power surge.

-line break-

'Impossible! Is that Kaka- no Gohan?' Wondered Vegeta, feeling a power much greater than he ever thought possible.

-line break-

'Hmm, while Broly takes care of those fools, I will- ugh impossible, no, it can't be! This power level is even higher than Broly's. This monstrous power level… I must flee at once.' Said Paragus aloud, before flying even faster to the location of the pod he had prepared earlier.

-line break-

Broly cackled madly as he watched a building crash down on Trunks and Goku, before he received a super powered kick, which produced a sonic boom, right in his face, sending him flying away.

-line break-

Paragus was just about to close the hatch on the pod, when an object travelling at immense speeds crashed near him. Sensing it was Broly, he quickly closed the door and began to input coordinates for a safer planet, when he felt something grab onto the spaceship.

'Oh father, leaving so soon? I suppose since I am here for now and you are planning on running away, I will deal with you first.' Said Broly, as he picked up the spaceship in a bear hug.

'No, Broly, stop, what are you doing, I am your father?' Asked Paragus in a panicked tone of voice, as he felt the pod being crushed and closing in on him.

'Sorry Paragus, but you were a lousy father.' Said Broly, with a maniacal smirk, as he crushed the spaceship, along with the now deceased Paragus.

'Now, back to someone interesting.' Said Broly, as he threw the spaceship away, kicked off the ground as a green aura enveloped him, before flying off at immense speeds in the direction of where he had just been before being kicked.

-line break-

'Trunks, dad, you guys ok!' Shouted Gohan, in the direction of the rubble covering Trunks and his father.

There was a subtle shift in the rubble, before Goku's hand burst from it, bleeding slightly, with the sleeve torn slightly. Goku then burst from the rubble, dragging Trunks with him, who had a deep gash under his left cheekbone.

'Yeah, we're fine Gohan.' Replied Trunks gruffly.

'Alright, that's good to hear, I can sense Broly is coming back here now. Also, Paragus is dead now.' Said Gohan, before Vegeta landed near the trio.

'BRAT! How did you get all this power in such a short time after the Cell games? A few days ago, you were only a little more than twice as strong as Cell and now your power level is close to ten times that!' Questioned Vegeta angrily.

'Come on Vegeta, you remember what happened when you came to Earth and used your scouters to measure our power level. Plus, you remember how the Ginyu force underestimated Dad's power level. Power levels can be suppressed and hidden if you focus enough.' Replied Gohan sagely.

'Preposterous! You could not have hidden this much power and beaten Cell so easily at the same time.' Retorted Vegeta.

'Vegeta, you never understood the value of anything outside of fighting. While you are an excellent fighter and cunning when the odds are not in your favour, you are also arrogant and never train your mind. My dad mentioned it just before you went into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for a second time, but torturing your body is not the way to become stronger. For this reason, Piccolo, someone who meditates and hones his mind constantly, is stronger than all of us in our base forms. Furthermore, someone like me who has trained both body and mind extensively would have no problem fighting Cell and defeating him, while only using a third of my total power, because I trained my mind to be able to. Even the earthlings like Krillin and Tien understand this.' Lectured Gohan quickly, as he felt Broly was approaching them quickly.

'You know, now that I think about it, you meditated for almost a week straight in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.' Thought Goku aloud.

'A week without moving? Preposterous, no Saiyan could maintain stillness for that long with our Saiyan blood.' Muttered Vegeta in shock.

'Ah all the Saiyan's are gathered together again.' Said Broly, who had just appeared in front of the group.

Gohan turned to face Broly and noticed he was staring intensely at the group, but was sending particularly bloodthirsty glances at him and Goku.

'Kakarot, first I am going to kill your spawn, then I will tear you limb from limb. KAKAROT!' Shouted Broly, his green aura starting to surround him, as his power began to rise again.

Gohan dropped down into a ready stance, before Broly lunged at him and threw a devastating knee to his gut, which he blocked by placing both of his palms on the knee and pushing against it. Broly, undeterred, gripped Gohan with a clothesline and dragged him through a couple of buildings, before launching him up into the sky. Broly formed a green aura around his left fist and launched a Ki blast at Gohan. Gohan pulled his leg back in mid-air and kicked the approaching blast up into the sky, before Broly appeared behind him and grabbed him in a bear hug, attempting to squeeze the life out of him. Gohan grimaced slightly, before bringing his knee up and slamming it into Broly's clenched fist, causing his grip to weaken, before he swung his head back and head-butted him, causing him to fully relinquish his grip, before he somersaulted up and slammed an elbow into the back of Broly's neck, sending him crashing into the ground.

'Unbelievable, Gohan is matching Broly.' Muttered Trunks in shock.

'Not only that, he isn't even serious yet.' Chimed in Vegeta, thoroughly surprised.

'Yeah, he seems to like toying with his opponents ever since he went Super Saiyan 2. He kind of reminds me of you sometimes Vegeta. He even played around with me a few times, hahaha.' Added Goku in amusement.

-line break-

'What's the matter Broly, giving up already?' Mocked Gohan, as he descended near where Broly had landed.

'KAKAROT! Even you spawn mocks me!' Shouted Broly, before bursting through the air and slamming a kick into Gohan's ribs, which sent him flying a few metres, before he regained balance.

'I don't know what you are talking about, my dad has been on earth since he was a baby and he never mocked you.' Stated Gohan with a hint of confusion.

'Kakarot, Kakarot, KAKAROT!' Shouted Broly, before charging up two balls of green energy in his hands, which he then slammed together, before opening his hands with his palms facing outwards, releasing a massive blast of green energy.

'Masenko HA!' Shouted Gohan in response, as he brought both hands to his forehead, before launching a yellow blast of energy at Broly's green energy wave.

The stalemate lasted less than ten seconds, before Gohan's attack started to push Broly's back. Broly growled in rage before pushing in more energy into his attack, which begun to overwhelm Gohan's. Gohan noticed Broly's concentration was solely on powering his attack, so he quickly stopped his attack, teleported behind Broly and kicked him in the neck, sending him sliding across the ground, causing the two attacks, now no longer controlled by their users, to explode in a burst of energy.

'Just. Won't. SHUT UP!' Said Broly, exploding in anger as his aura darkened slightly, becoming a slightly darker green.

Broly huffed, breathing in rapidly, as he started to rise into the air. Eventually reaching a high enough point he smirked. He opened his hand, as a small green sphere started to form in his hands, bathing the surrounding area a pale green hue.

'Struggle all you want, in the end you still die!' Said Broly, as he flicked the green sphere in Gohan's direction.

Gohan squatted down and cupped his hands near his right side.

'Kamehameha!' Chanted Gohan, as he released the blue destruction wave straight at the green sphere of death Broly had launched.

As the two attacks met in the middle, the blue slowly overtook the green, pushing it back towards its user.

Broly merely gave an amused grunt, before charging up two more green blasts, which he threw into the mix, which started to push the blue wave of energy back slightly, before they reached a stalemate.

Gohan pulled his hands back and then thrust them forward once more, pushing the energy back at Broly once again.

Broly once again grunted, this time in annoyance, before he charged up two more blasts, which he launched into the clashing energies, again succeeding in pushing the attack towards Gohan, except this time it kept pushing it back.

"Damn, I need to go all out it seems. If this attack hits, the planet will be destroyed." Thought Gohan in annoyance, as he pulled his left hand back, while still keeping his right outstretched, pumping energy into his slowly weakening wave.

'Double Kamehameha!' Shouted Gohan, as a second wave burst from his left hand, before merging with his original wave, pushing Broly's attack back at him at a frightening rate.

Broly quickly charged up another two spheres, which he threw to try and push back Gohan's attack, but they were less than useless, as the blue wave of destruction ploughed through them and approached Broly. Seconds before the attack was to reach him, Broly crossed his arms in front of him and endured the hit, as it blasted against him.

Broly growled, feeling the attack burn his skin, before a green aura surrounded him once again.

'Kakarot!' Shouted Broly, as a green sphere three metres in diameter burst from his position, pushing the Kamehameha wave off course, shooting over his head by a metre, allowing him to spot Gohan on the ground once again.

'Quiet. Quiet. QUIET! KAKAROT!' Muttered Broly, ending with an enraged shout, as he charged at Gohan, looking to elbow him into the ground, but only succeeded in creating a small crater, as Gohan backflipped out of the way.

"Hmm, maybe Broly had a memory of dad repressed which caused him great anguish. I don't know what it could be since dad would have only been… a baby. Don't tell me dad cried too much for Broly to take." Thought Gohan in exasperation.

'Kakarot, I will kill you!' Shouted Broly.

'Maybe that's too simplistic an explanation.' Muttered Gohan, before he jumped over a flying kick from Broly, which he countered by launching a small Ki blast at the back of his head.

'Hey son, how's it going?' Asked Goku, as he, Trunks and Vegeta, dropped down near Gohan.

Broly visibly cringed hearing Goku's voice and threw a blast of energy at the group, which Gohan promptly slapped away.

'Hey dad, can you do something for me?' Asked Gohan, as he carefully watched Broly, who was now snarling.

'Sure, need an extra hand?' Asked Goku happily.

'Nah, I just want you to tease Broly a bit.' Said Gohan, getting a stunned expression from Trunks and Vegeta and a confused look from Goku.

'Uh, yeah, sure, I suppose I could.' Said Goku in confusion, before Vegeta decided to voice his dismay.

'Kakarot, now you've done it, you turned one of the strongest Saiyans alive into an idiot just like you.' Ranted Vegeta angrily.

'Aw come on Vegeta, that's mean.' Whined Goku.

'Kakarot, why… why won't you ever BE QUIET!' Shouted Broly, before charging up a massive ball of green energy in his right hand, which he threw at the four, before quickly forming one in his left, which he launched right after the previous blast.

The four all took to the skies to avoid the blasts, but Broly kept launching more and more after them.

Eventually the attacks where being launched so fast, each Saiyan had three blasts approaching them at high speeds simultaneously.

'Dad, quickly, grab Trunks and Vegeta and teleport behind me, I'm going to end this.' Warned Gohan.

Goku gave a quick nod and carried out the request, which led to Broly launching multiple blasts in Gohan's direction.

Gohan raised his right hand to his forehead and brought his left hand to his waist.

'Masenko-Kamehameha-Cannon.' Cried Gohan, as he merged the yellow blast of his Masenko with the blue wave of destruction, as he slammed his hands together, in the same position Vegeta releases his Final Flash attack. The two energies mixed and became a greenish wave, with blue and yellow circling around it, in a manner reminiscent of Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon, following a double helix pattern. The attack collided head on with the multiple spheres Broly had launched and drilled through them easily, before slamming into Broly's stomach, causing him to hack up copious amounts of blood, as the beam drilled into him, leaving a sizeable gash almost half a metre wide on his stomach, which was bleeding steadily.

The three adult Saiyans observed the damage, the ground was severely torn up and Broly looked to be on the verge of passing out.

'Curse you *cough* Kakarot.' Muttered Broly, before keeling over face first, his hair turning black and his muscle mass and height being reduced to much less than previously, as he reverted back to his base form.

The four conscious Saiyans touched down to the ground. Gohan quickly, but calmly, walked over to Broly and checked that he was in fact still alive.

'Alright you guys, he is still alive, but he is knocked out for now.' Reported Gohan, before hefting Broly onto his shoulders.

'What are you doing brat? We should kill this monster now while we still can!' Shouted Vegeta in outrage.

'Ah don't worry about it, Vegeta, everyone deserves a second chance, after all, second chances are the only reason Trunks is standing there now.' Said Gohan happily, causing Vegeta to scoff and turn his head to the side.

'So what are you going to do son?' Asked Goku with a tilted head.

'I'll take Broly to a safer area and try and help him get over his hate of Kakarot.' Said Gohan, making small quotations marks as best he could with Broly on his shoulders, when he said Kakarot.

Gohan started to float in the direction of the fake castle they had been staying at.

'In the meantime though, I need you guys to gather up all the workers and everyone else here on the ship we arrived in, Trunks and Vegeta, you know the one I'm talking about.' Said Gohan.

'Uh, sure Gohan, but why?' Asked Trunks in confusion.

'Well, I can feel a massive comet heading this way, which will arrive in about an hour and from the way it feels, it will utterly destroy this planet. So, it's best we get off this planet as soon as possible.' Said Gohan nonchalantly, getting a sweat drop from Trunks, at just how calmly he said it.

'Alright, you got it son.' Said Goku, with a thumbs up.

'Oh yeah and dad, I'll be gone for about a year, but don't worry, I'll be back in time for my sibling's birth, let mum know for me, okay, thanks, bye.' Said Gohan quickly, before teleporting back to the castle and finding a ship, which was a scaled down version of the one he had come in originally, before he input a few coordinates and took off.

'Uh Goku, did you get all that?' Asked Trunks, who had a major sweat drop on the back of his head.

'Yup, he is going on a trip in space, just like his old man.' Said Goku proudly.

'Um, he said sibling though… is Chi-Chi pregnant?' Asked a confused Trunks.

'Well gosh, I don't think so, but Gohan's senses are better than mine, so she must be.' Said a surprised Goku.

'Ha, Kakarot, that's not all, he asked you to tell his mother that her child is going to be gone for a year. Given how overprotective your wife is, I'd say you're screwed.' Said Vegeta, before laughing heartily and flying away to the ship.

Goku froze and adopted a dumbfounded expression. After a few minutes of not responding to him, the teenage time traveller flew off to find Krillin, to help him round up everyone on the planet.

Goku stood there alone for a bit longer, before muttering two words.

'Oh boy.' Said Goku fearfully.

Now one thing I would like to ask you all is who Gohan should end up with. Initially I had planned Gohan and Videl but then I thought, canon already had that and even though the relationship was pretty annoying in the Saiyaman Saga, (seriously, whoever decided making Gohan an annoying antisocial geek was a good idea needs to have their head examined) it did get really good after that and ended pretty well (despite him becoming a bookworm at the end *rubs temples in sadness* seriously, why can't Gohan be the cool main hero that he was in the Cell Saga?). Granted, in this story Hercule hasn't taken the credit for defeating Cell and people know it was 'The Delivery Boy' (I really hated that announcer for that stupid name *face-palms*) but, well, Videl's personality will not be a great deal different from canon, there will be changes, but not major ones. My reasoning for another person is Android #18. She has not been protected by Krillin after being ejected from Cell and a wish wasn't used on removing her bomb, so I don't think Krillin at the moment has done anything to garner her affection, crushing the remote aside, as that can also be seen as him being too kind to kill an android, which following on from Goku's personality, it wouldn't be a great stretch for #18 to think that all the Z warriors, minus Vegeta, are like that. Plus, given Gohan's rather different attitude, I can see him getting together with Android #18 well. Either way, depending on who gets picked, the story will be changed slightly, the overall plot, AKA, the major battles and villains will stay more or less the same, but some of the romantic stuff in between will definitely be different, given the difference between Android #18 and Videl's respective personalities.
