"Never again will anyone sit on a couch for that long watching a marathon." Natasha stated.

"Agreed." everyone voiced.

"Friends, I have a question. When will the next large turkey feast be? The one we held last year was most enjoyable." Thor said.

"Oh, we remember how 'enjoyable' it was." Tony stated.

Thor was walking through the halls when he caught scent of something smelling delicious. It was still very early in the day so he knew that it couldn't be lunch time.

Following the scent, the thunder god found himself into the kitchen of the common floor and spotted Steve, Natasha and Bruce in the kitchen and six month old James sitting in his high chair with a spilled bowl of Cheerios in front of him.

"Birds are in the oven." Steve announced as he closed the oven door and looked up to see Thor. "Morning."

"Good morning, my friends. What is going on this early?"

"Getting everything ready for Thanksgiving." Bruce answered as he set a pot of water on a stove burner.

"What is this Thanksgiving?" Thor asked.

"It's a national holiday." Steve answered. "Once a year, there is a large Thanksgiving meal. Families get together for a big meal and give thanks for the things they're most grateful for."

"Interesting. When did this all start?" Thor asked.

"It started when America was first discovered." Bruce answered.

"Where you there, friend Rogers?"

Steve lightly chuckled.

"No, Thor. It happend way before I was born." Steve answered as he filled a juice cup with apple juice and handed it to his eager son.

"Do all families on Midgard take part in this feast?" Thor asked.

"Most families do. Some don't celebrate the holiday."

"Is there anything that I can do to help prepare this meal?"

"Sure. You can help me with the potatoes." Natasha answered.

For the next several hours, Thor happily assisted his friends in preparing the Thanksgiving meal while hearing stories of how they celebrated the holiday with their families.

Natasha never shared one until she joined SHIELD and even then it wasn't as glorious as the one they were going to have today. So this was not just going to be the first Thanksgiving for James and Thor but for Natasha as well.

Bruce shared a few pleasant times that Thanksgiving happened in peace for him and his family. A small gathering of family members every few years or so. Most of his memories of the holiday included some kind of fight.

Steve's stories were the most pleasant. Even though he had been poor growing up, his parent's had managed to pull off a miracle and have a small Thanksgiving meal every year. Eventually, it became just him and his mother for a few years and then the family meals ceased when he became an orphan. But they started again when he became Captain America and began to share in the tradition with his team during the war.

Thor listened to everything with wonder and would remember his own home in Asgard.

There were usually great feasts all the time in the palace and he always had his family and friends sitting at the large table with him. But instead of giving thanks to many things, they told stories of their latest battle and how it was won.

It made the Asgardian prince realize that he still had much to learn and be grateful for.

A small ding caught his attention and he spotted Steve open the oven door and slowly pull out a rack holding two oval racks that held two large golden brown turkies. It made Thor realize how hungry he was.

"Birds are ready." Steve announced as he placed them on cooling racks.

"Everything is almost ready." Natasha said.

"I'll go get James dressed and ready." Steve said as he picked up his son. "You ready for a big meal, buddy?"

"Yes, I am." Clint said as he walked in.

"He wasn't talking to you but we know that you're ready to eat." Natasha stated with a smirk. "When did you get back?"

"Two hours ago but Fury needed me to debrief. He actually said we could continue this later since today is a holiday. Hand him over, Cap. As godfather, I get my share on holidays." Clint said and carefully took James from Steve.

"Ok but he needs a diaper change and to be put in his good clothes." Steve said and right away noticed that Clint smelled the dirty diaper. The archer quietly made his way out of the room.

"Let's get the table set." Bruce said.

"I'll help." Thor offered and began to learn the proper ways of setting a table for a meal.

Having seen it so many times as home, he believed he knew how the plates and silverware should be set but it turned out that Earth had different ways of doing things.

Luckily, Bruce and Steve had plenty of patience and explained everything while Natasha started placing the food on the table.

Shortly after the table was set, everyone began appearing and dressed properly. Clint soon appeared with James dressed in a onesie that looked like a tuxedo.

"There's my handsome man." Natasha said as she took her smiling child.

"Eyes up here when you say that." Clint joked before handing over his godson only for him to be snatched by Pepper.

"Oh, you are gorgeous." she exclaimed.

"Hey, that's my line." Tony pouted.

"Come on, everyone. Dinner time!" Bruce announced.

"Who carves?" Clint asked.

"Tony should." Bruce answered.

"Me? Why not Capsicle? He leads this little group."

"Just do it."

"Alright, alright. Let's begin with the mushy speeches."

"Cap, you first."

Steve smiled and held James in his arms.

"This is our first Thanksgiving together as friends and family. I lost a lot after stopping Hydra's plan but I gained so much after waking up in this new century. I gained great friends, a beautiful wife and a beautiful child. I can very honestly say that I have been greatly blessed."

Thor listened with a smile as everyone gave their thanks and finally he was next to speak.

"Well, I have done this before but it was always battle related thanks. But I shall do my best. I came to Midgard not to long ago. I didn't know a single person and I thought that Midgard was actually not worth a trip to. But I learned that this planet has ways of changing people. I fell in love with Midgard and the people that live here. I gained great allies and friends. Although it was a shaky start."

Tony smirked.

"Through great battles or the joys of being at home, I have found another family that I am proud to fight and live alongside them. I have much to be thankful for and I am thankful for everyone that has become part of my life."

"Amen, brother." Tony said holding up a glass of scotch. Everyone took a drink from their glasses and then began to eat.

"So good." Clint said between bites of ham.

"Keep your mouth closed." Natasha said and gave James a small spoonful of mashed potatoes.

"He gets away with it." Clint said motioning to the baby with his spoon.

"Because he's adorable." Pepper said.

"Quit giving him my nicknames." Tony plaufully pouted.

Thor chuckled as he watched his new family.

"A feast most memorable." Thor exclaimed.

"Very." Clint agreed. "Especially after seeing how much food you ate."

"We have excellent cooks among us." Thor replied.
